Structure of least-energy solutions to singularly perturbed semilinear Dirichlet problem ε²Δu - u^α + g(u) = 0 in Ω,u = 0 on ∂Ω, Ω ⊂ ⋅R^N a bounded smooth domain, is precisely studied as ε → 0^+, for 0 < α < 1 and a superlinear, subcritical nonlinearity g(u). It is shown that there are many least-energy solutions for the problem and they are spike-layer solutions. Moreover, the measure of each spike-layer is estimated as ε → 0^+ .  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the existence and stability of the positive solutions of a semilinear elliptic system - Δu(x) = a(x)v^6(x) + e(x) - Δv(x) = b(x}u^μ(x) + m(x) \qquad in Ω u = v = 0 \qquad\qquad on ∂Ω where Ω ⊂ R^N is a bounded domain with smooth boundary ∂Ω. It is shown that under the suitable conditions on \delta, μ, there exist a stable and an unstable positive solutions for this system if e and m are sufficiently small in L^∞.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of systems of matrix nonlinear differential equations containing as particular cases the systems of coupled Riccati differential equations arising in connection with control of some linear stochastic systems is considered.The system of differential equations considered in this paper are converted in a suitable nonlinear differential equation on a finite-dimensional Hilbert space adequately choosen.This allows us to use the positivity properties of the linear evolution operator defined by the linear differential equations of Lyapunov type.Our aim is to investigate properties of stabilizing and bounded solutions of the considered differential equations and to obtain some conditions ensuring the existence of such solutions.Conditions providing the existence of a maximal solution (minimal solution respectively) with respect to some classes of global solutions are presented. It is shown that if the coefficients of the equations are periodic functions all these special solutions (stabilizing, maximal, minimal) are periodic functions, too.Whenever possible the probabilistic arguments were avoided and so the results proved in the paper appear as results in the field of differential equations with interest in themselves.  相似文献

Based on a Riccati equation and one of its new generalized solitary solutions constructed by the Exp‐function method, new analytic solutions with free parameters and arbitrary functions of a (2 + 1)‐dimensional variable‐coefficient Broer–Kaup system are obtained. These free parameters and arbitrary functions reveal that the (2 + 1)‐dimensional variable‐coefficient Broer–Kaup system has rich spatial structures. As an illustrative example, two new spatial structures are shown by setting the arbitrary functions as different Jacobi elliptic functions. Compared with tanh‐function method and its extensions, the method proposed in this paper is more powerful and it can be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations. Multivalued (not set-valued as in the theory of differential inclusions!) solutions of ordinary differential equations (ODE) appear naturally in geometrical and physical problems in which the independent and dependent variablesx, y are geometric coordinates of a current point on the sought-for curve. Physically admissible, global BV solutions are constructed to the Cauchy problem for the equations of one-dimensional, nonlinear viscoelasticity of the Boltzmann type. The required BV bounds are derived with the help of energy estimates, in conjunction with a change of variables that redistributes the damping on an equitable basis among the equations of the system, thus exposing the dissipative effect of viscosity on the variation of solutions.  相似文献

It is well known that a scalar differential equation , where f(t,x) is continuous, T-periodic in t and weakly convex or concave in x has no, one or two T-periodic solutions or a connected band of T-periodic solutions. The last possibility can be excluded if f(t,x) is strictly convex or concave for some t in the period interval. In this paper we investigate how the actual number of T-periodic solutions for a given equation of this type in principle can be determined, if f(t,x) is also assumed to have a continuous derivative . It turns out that there are three cases. In each of these cases we indicate the monotonicity properties and the domain of values for the function P(ξ)=S(ξ)−ξ, where S(ξ) is the Poincaré successor function. From these informations the actual number of periodic solutions can be determined, since a zero of P(ξ) represents a periodic solution.  相似文献

In this paper, the laminar film condensation of saturated stream on an isothermal vertical plate is studied. The boundary layer equations of momentum and thermal energy are reduced to two ordinary differential equations by means of a set of similarity transformations. The problem is then solved analytically using the homotopy analysis method (HAM). The dual solutions are obtained for a range of values of the parameter ηδ. However, it should be noted that the second branch solution of the considered problem has only mathematical meanings. The present work shows the validity and the great potentiality of the proposed technique for the nonlinear problems with multiple solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, an mKP equation with self-consistent sources (mKPESCSs) is structured in the framework of the constrained mKP equation. Based on the conjugate Lax pairs, we construct the generalized binary Darboux transformation and the N-times repeated Darboux transformation with arbitrary functions at time t for the mKPESCSs which offers a non-auto-Bäcklund transformation between two mKPESCSs with different degrees of sources. With the help of these transformations, some new solutions for the mKPESCSs such as soliton solutions, rational solutions, breather type solutions and exponential solutions are found by taking the special initial solution for auxiliary linear problems and the special functions of t-time.  相似文献

The structure of positive radial solutions to a class of quasilinear elliptic equations with critical and supercritical growth is precisely studied. Some new results are given concerning the behavior of the oscillatory solutions of first or second order delay differential equations. These results establish that all oscillatory solutions x of a first or second order delay differential equation satisfy x(t)=O(v(t)) as t→∞, where v is a nonoscillatory solution of a corresponding first or second order linear delay differential equation.
