The reactions of the chalcogen halides (Ch = S, Se, Te) with a series of diiminopyridine (DIMPY) ligands were explored. It was determined through these studies that varying both the substitution on the α-carbon and the chalcogen halide reagent afforded different products. If methyl groups were present on the α-carbon, reactivity was observed through the eneamine tautomer to yield N,N',C-bound neutral chalcogen complexes. In the cases where H and C(6)H(5) groups were in the same position, N,N',N″-chelated chalcogen cations or dications were produced. Many of the reactions resulted in complex mixtures postulated to occur by the release of halogen decomposing the product or, for reactions with the CH(3) substituted ligand, uncontrollable reactivity with the eneamine tautomer. This is the first report of reactions of sulfur and selenium halides with the ubiquitous diiminopyridine ligands and only the second example for a tellurium halide.  相似文献

The direct reactions of PI(3) with -H or -C(6)H(5) substituted diiminopyridine ligands yield the N,N',N'-chelated P(I) cations. The analogous chemistry with the ubiquitous -CH(3) substituted derivative produces a complex mixture of products underscoring the importance of the substitution on the α-carbon atom. The I(3)(-) counteranion of the compounds could be easily exchanged with the more robust B(12)Cl(12)(2-) dianion. Reactions of PCl(3) and PBr(3) with -CH(3) and -C(6)H(5) substituted ligands led to indiscernible mixtures or no reaction. However, heating PBr(3) with the -H derivative in the presence of a halide trap produced the corresponding phosphorus(I) cation as the bromide salt. These species represent the first phosphorus diiminopyridine complexes reported.  相似文献

The reaction of Cu(NO3)2.3H2O with the ligand 1-(ferrocenemethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane (L) in acetonitrile leads to the formation of a blue complex, [Cu(L)(NO3)][NO3] (C1). The X-ray structure determination shows an unexpected binding of a nitrate anion in that the CuII center is surrounded by four N atoms of the 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane (cyclen) macrocycle and two O atoms from a chelating nitrate anion, both Cu-O distances being below the sums of the van de Waals radii. Hydrogen-bonding interactions in the crystal lattice and a weak interaction between a second nitrate O and the CuII center in C1 give rise to a highly distorted CuII geometry relative to that found in the known structure of [Cu(cyclen)(NO3)][NO3] (C5). Electrochemical studies in acetonitrile containing 0.1 M [Bu4N][NO3] as the supporting electrolyte showed that oxidation of C1 in this medium exhibits a single reversible one-electron step with a formal potential E degrees f of +85 mV vs Fc0/+ (Fc = ferrocene). This process is associated with oxidation of the ferrocenyl pendant group. Additionally, a reversible one-electron reduction reaction with an E degrees f value of -932 mV vs Fc0/+, attributed to the CuII/I redox couple, is detected. Gradual change of the supporting electrolyte from 0.1 M [Bu4N][NO3] to the poorly coordinating [Bu4N][PF6] electrolyte, at constant ionic strength, led to a positive potential shift in E degrees f values by +107 and +39 mV for the CuII/I(C1) and Fc0/+(C1) redox couples, respectively. Analysis of these electrochemical data and UV-vis spectra is consistent with the probable presence of the complexes C1, [Cu(L)(CH3CN)2]2+ (C2), [Cu(L)(CH3CN)(NO3)]+ (C3), and [Cu(L)(NO3)2] (C4) as the major species in nitrate-containing acetonitrile solutions. In weakly solvating nitromethane, the extent of nitrate complexation remains significant even at low nitrate concentrations, due to the lack of solvent competition.  相似文献

The reactions between chalcogen tetrahalides (ChX(4); Ch = Se, Te; X = Cl, Br) and the neutral donors (n)Bu(3)P, Ph(3)P, or the N-heterocyclic carbene, 2,5-diisopropylimidazole-2-ylidene ((i)Pr(2)IM), have been investigated. In cases involving a phosphine, the chemistry can be understood in terms of a succession of two-electron redox reactions, resulting in reduction of the chalcogen center (e.g., Se(IV) --> Se(II)) and the oxidation of phosphorus to the [R(3)P-X] cation (P(III) --> P(V)). The stepwise reduction of Se(IV) --> Se(II) --> Se(0) --> Se(-II) occurs upon the successive addition of stoichiometric equivalents of Ph(3)P to SeCl(4), which can readily be monitored by 31P{(1)H} NMR spectroscopy. In the case of reacting SeX(4) with (i)Pr(2)IM, a similar two-electron reduction of the chalcogen is observed and there is the concomitant production of a haloimidazolium hexahaloselenate salt. The products have been comprehensively characterized, and the solid-state structures of [R(3)PX][SeX(3)] (9), [Ph(3)PCl](2)[TeCl(6)] (10), (i)Pr(2)IM-SeX(2) (11), and [(i)Pr(2)IM-Cl](2)[SeCl(6)] (12) have been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. These data all support two electron redox reactions and can be considered in terms of the formal reductive elimination of X2, which is sequestered by the Lewis base.  相似文献

The reaction of uranyl nitrate hexahydrate with the maleonitrile containing Schiff base 2,3-bis[(4-diethylamino-2-hydroxybenzylidene)amino]but-2-enedinitrile (salmnt((Et(2)N)(2))H(2)) in methanol produces [UO(2)(salmnt((Et2N)2))(H(2)O)] (1) where the uranyl equatorial coordination plane is completed by the N(2)O(2) tetradentate cavity of the (salmnt((Et(2)N)(2)))(2-) ligand and a water molecule. The coordinated water molecule readily undergoes exchange with pyridine (py), dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and triphenylphosphine oxide (TPPO) to give a series of [UO(2)(salmnt((Et(2)N)(2)))(L)] complexes (L = py, DMSO, DMF, TPPO; 2-5, respectively). X-Ray crystallography of 1-5 show that the (salmnt((Et(2)N)(2)))(2-) ligand is distorted when coordinated to the uranyl moiety, in contrast to the planar structure observed for the free protonated ligand (salmnt((Et(2)N)(2))H(2)). The Raman spectra of 1-5 only display extremely weak bands (819-828 cm(-1)) that can be assigned to the typically symmetric O=U=O stretch. This stretching mode is also observed in the infrared spectra for all complexes 1-5 (818-826 cm(-1)) predominantly caused by the distortion of the tetradentate (salmnt((Et(2)N)(2)))(2-) ligand about the uranyl equatorial plane resulting in a change in dipole for this bond stretch. The solution behaviour of 2-5 was studied using NMR, electronic absorption and emission spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. Complexes 2-5 exhibit intense absorptions in the visible region of the spectrum due to intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) transitions and the luminescence lifetimes (< 5 ns) indicate the emission arises from ligand-centred excited states. Reversible redox processes assigned to the {UO(2)}(2+)/{UO(2)}(+) couple are observed for complexes 2-5 (2: E(1/2) = -1.80 V; 3,5: E(1/2) = -1.78 V; 4: E(1/2) = -1.81 V : vs. ferrocenium/ferrocene {Fc(+)/Fc}, 0.1 M Bu(4)NPF(6)) in dichloromethane (DCM). These are some of the most negative half potentials for the {UO(2)}(2+)/{UO(2)}(+) couple observed to date and indicate the strong electron donating nature of the (salmnt((Et(2)N)(2)))(2-) ligand. Multiple uranyl redox processes are clearly seen for [UO(2)(salmnt((Et(2)N)(2)))(L)] in L (L = py, DMSO, DMF; 2-4: 0.1 M Bu(4)NPF(6)) indicating the relative instability of these complexes when competing ligands are present, but the reversible {UO(2)}(2+)/{UO(2)}(+) couple for the intact complexes can still be assigned and shows the position of this couple can be modulated by the solvation environment. Several redox processes were also observed between +0.2 and +1.2 V (vs. Fc(+)/Fc) that prove the redox active nature of the maleonitrile-containing ligand.  相似文献

A ligand, 4-methoxy-4′,4″-bis[N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl) aminomethyl]triphenyl-amine, and its palladium and copper dinuclear complexes were designed and prepared in order to examine intramolecular interactions between an organic cation radical and the metal ion. Novel NMR techniques, COSY and NOESY, were applied to the palladium complex to examine its conformation in solution. The palladium complex was found to prefer a folded conformation at ambient temperature, indicating the occurrence of intramolecular stacking interaction. CV measurements of the copper complex showed reversible CuI/CuII and TPA/TPA+ redox couples. The spin–spin interaction in the radical pendant copper complex generated upon one electron oxidation of the copper complex was examined by cw-ESR measurements.  相似文献

Tetraaryloxy-substituted perylene tetracarboxylic acid bisimides with one or two 4-pyridyl receptor substituents at the imide functionality were synthesized and employed in transition metal directed self-assembly with Pd(II) and Pt(II) phosphane triflates. Upon mixing of the components, quantitative formation of functional molecular square-type complexes containing four dye molecules and model complexes of a 2:1 (perylene bisimide ligand:transition metal ion) stoichiometry was observed. The isolated metallosupramolecular squares were characterized by 1H and 31P [1H] NMR spectroscopy as well as conventional electrospray ionization (ESI) and ESI-FTICR mass spectrometry, which gave evidence for the structure and the high stability of these giant cyclic dye assemblies (molecular weight (3a) 8172, Pt-Pt corner diagonal ca. 3.4 nm). Studies of the optical absorption and fluorescence properties and the electrochemistry and spectroelectrochemistry of both the perylene bisimide ligands and the perylene bisimide metal complexes show that Pt(II) coordination does not interfere with the optical and electrochemical properties of the perylene bisimide ligands; this gives squares with high fluorescence quantum yields (phiF (3a)=0.88) and three fully reversible redox couples. The latter could be unambiguously related to quantitative formation of perylene bisimide radical cations (E1/2 = +0.93 V vs. Fc/Fc+), radical anions (E1/2= - 1.01 V vs. Fc/Fc+), and dianions (E1/2 = -1.14 V vs. Fc/Fc+); these redox reactions change the charge state of the cyclic assembly from +12 to zero. In contrast, Pd(II) coordination influenced the electrochemical properties of the assembly because of an irreversible palladium reduction at E1/2= -1.15 V versus Fc/Fc+. Finally, dynamic ligand exchange processes between different metallosupramolecular assemblies were investigated by multinuclear NMR and electrospray mass spectrometry. These studies confirmed the reversible nature of the pyridine-Pt(II)/Pd(II) coordination process.  相似文献

Tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (TPA) derivatives with one or two ferrocenoylamide moieties at the 6-position of one or two pyridine rings of TPA were synthesized. The compounds, N-(6-ferrocenoylamide-2-pyridylmethyl)-N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (Fc-TPA; L1) and N,N-bis(6-ferrocenoylamide-2-pyridylmethyl)-N-(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (Fc2-TPA; L2), were characterized by spectroscopic methods, cyclic voltammetry, and X-ray crystallography. Their Ru(II) complexes were also prepared and characterized by spectroscopic methods, cyclic voltammetry, and X-ray crystallography. [RuCl(L1)(DMSO)]PF(6) (1) that contains S-bound dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as a ligand and an uncoordinated ferrocenoylamide moiety exhibited two redox waves at 0.23 and 0.77 V (vs ferrocene/ferrocenium ion as 0 V), due to Fc/Fc(+) and Ru(II)/Ru(III) redox couples, respectively. [RuCl(L2)]PF(6) (2) that contains both coordinated and uncoordinated amide moieties showed two redox waves that were observed at 0.27 V (two electrons) and 0.46 V (one electron), assignable to Ru(II)/Ru(III) redox couples overlapped with the uncoordinated Fc/Fc(+) redox couple and the coordinated Fc/Fc(+), respectively. In contrast to 2, an acetonitrile complex, [Ru(L2)(CH(3)CN)](PF(6))(2) (3), exhibited three redox couples at 0.26 and 0.37 V for two kinds of Fc/Fc(+) couples, and 0.83 V for the Ru(II)/Ru(III) couple (vs ferrocene/ferrocenium ion as 0 V). In this complex, the redox potentials of the coordinated and the uncoordinated Fc-amide moieties were discriminated in the range of 0.11 V. Chemical two-electron oxidation of 1 gave [RuIIICl(L1+)(DMSO)](3+) to generate a ferromagnetically coupled triplet state (S = 1) with J = 13.7 cm-1 (H = -JS(1)S(2)) which was estimated by its variable-temperature electron spin resonance (ESR) spectra in CH(3)CN. The electron spins at the Ru(III) center and the Fe(III) center are ferromagnetically coupled via an amide linkage. In the case of 2, its two-electron oxidation gave the same ESR spectrum, which indicates formation of a similar triplet state. Such electronic communication may occur via the amide linkage forming the intramolecular hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

The polymeric membrane crosslinked by a viologen structure was prepared by the reduction of the homopolymer with a pendant cyanopyridinium structure, poly(1-vinylbenzyl-4-cyanopyridinium perchlorate), chemically or electrochemically. The homopolymer in the state of membrane was reduced chemically by aqueous sodium dithionite (Na2S2O4) to obtain the polymer containing viologen group (64 mol%) despite a heteogeneous reaction. When the membrane was reduced electrochemically, the resulting viologen moiety in the membrane showed reversible one- and two-electron redox behavior.  相似文献

Owing to their unique broken symmetry, amphiphilic Janus dendrimers and dendons provide fascinating properties for material, biological, pharmaceutical and biomedical applications. The integration of various organometallic moieties into these macromolecules will further offer the opportunity to form complex and intelligent architectures and materials. Here, we report a novel, simple and multifunctional Janus dendron containing redox‐reversible hydrophobic ferrocene (Fc) unit, complexing‐effective 1,2,3‐triazole ligand and biocompatible hydrophilic triethylene glycol termini. Silver and gold nanoparticles were firstly successfully prepared by using the Janus dendron as the reducing agent of Au(III) and Ag(I), and the stabilizer of the corresponding nanoparticles. The redox response of the Fc moiety was then employed to trigger the release of model drug, rhodamine B, encapsulated in supramolecular micelles formed by the self‐assembly of the Janus dendron. Finally, the precise and excellent metal‐complexing ability of the triazole group in this dendron was fully utilized to stabilize a water‐soluble Cu(I) catalyst, forming supramolecular nanoreactors for the catalysis of the copper(I)‐catalyzed azide alkyne cycloaddition click reaction in only water. The multifunctional characteristics of this dendron highlight the potential for organometallic Janus dendrimers and dendrons in the fields of functional materials and nanomedicines.  相似文献

A diarylamino-substituted N-methyl tetrahydrosalen (salan) ligand, (An2N)LH(2), is prepared in four steps and overall 53% yield from 5-bromosalicylaldehyde, with the key step a palladium-catalysed Hartwig-Buchwald amination of the tert-butyldimethylsilyl-protected 5-bromo-N-methylsalan ligand. Reaction of (An2N)LH(2) or its bromo analogue with Ti(O(i)Pr)(4) or TiF(4) results in metalation of the ligand. The isopropoxide groups are readily exchanged with α- or β-hydroxyacids to form chelated complexes. X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopy indicate that the salan ligands are quite flexible, with (An2N)LTiF(2), for example, showing four stereoisomers in its (19)F NMR spectrum. The major stereoisomer of (salan)Ti(X)(Y) depends principally on the trans influence of the X and Y groups. Complexes of (An2N)L show two reversible, closely spaced redox couples at approximately + 0.1 V vs. ferrocene/ferrocenium, and a second set of two closely spaced redox couples at ~ + 0.8 V vs. Fc/Fc(+).  相似文献

A Cu2N2 diamond core structure, {(PNP)CuI}2 (2), supported by a [PNP]- ligand (1) ([PNP]- = bis(2-(diisobutylphosphino)phenyl)amide) has been prepared. 2 is highly emissive at ambient temperature in both the solid and solution states and is characterized by a relatively long-lived excited state (tau > 10 mus) and an unusually high quantum yield (phi > 0.65). These observations are consistent with a low degree of structural reorganization between the ground state of 2 and its excited state *2, and also with a high degree of steric protection of the two copper centers of 2 afforded by the bulky [PNP]- ligand. An estimate for the excited-state reduction potential of *2 (ca. -3.2 V vs Fc+/Fc), and the availability of two well-separated and reversible ground-state redox processes, suggests that bimetallic copper systems of these types may be interesting candidates to consider for photochemically driving multielectron redox transformations.  相似文献

A N,N,N',N'-tetraphenylbenzidine-bridged bis(2,2'-bipyridine) ligand and corresponding diruthenium complexes were synthesized and characterized. They show rich multistep redox processes due to the stepwise oxidations of the amine units and ruthenium components. Their absorption and emission spectral changes in response to electrochemical stimulus were examined by spectroelectrochemical measurements. DFT and TDDFT calculations were performed to complement the experimental results.  相似文献

Supramolecular assembled layers of ferrocene-linked C(60) derivative (C(60)Fc) and various metal ions coordinated to octaethylporphyrin (MOEP) were formed on the surface of a Au(111) single-crystal electrode by immersing the Au substrate successively into a benzene solution containing MOEP and one containing C(60)Fc molecules. The MOEPs used were zinc(II) (ZnOEP), cobalt(II) (CoOEP), copper(II) (CuOEP), and iron(III) chloride (FeClOEP) of OEP (2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-octaethyl-21H,23H-porphine). The molecules of C(60)Fc directly attached to the Au(111) electrode showed poorly defined electrochemical redox response, whereas a clear electrochemical redox reaction of the ferrocene group in the C(60)Fc molecule was observed at 0.78 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode on ZnOEP, CoOEP, and CuOEP adlayers, but not on the FeClOEP adlayer. Adlattices of the underlying layer and the top layer of C(60)Fc were determined by in situ scanning tunneling microscopy. Adlayer structures of MOEP were independent of the central metal ion; that is, MOEP molecules were arranged hexagonally with two different orientations. Highly ordered C(60)Fc arrays were formed with 1:1 composition on the ZnOEP-, CoOEP-, and CuOEP-modified Au(111) surface, whereas a disordered structure of C(60)Fc was found on the FeClOEP-modified Au(111) surface. The presence of Cl ligand was found to prevent the formation of supramolecularly assembled layers with C(60)Fc molecules, resulting in an ill-defined unclear electrochemical response of the Fc group. The well-defined electrochemical response of the Fc group in C(60)Fc was clearly due to the control of orientation of C(60)Fc molecules.  相似文献

The iron complexes CpFe(P(Ph)(2)N(Bn)(2))Cl (1-Cl), CpFe(P(Ph)(2)N(Ph)(2))Cl (2-Cl), and CpFe(P(Ph)(2)C(5))Cl (3-Cl)(where P(Ph)(2)N(Bn)(2) is 1,5-dibenzyl-1,5-diaza-3,7-diphenyl-3,7-diphosphacyclooctane, P(Ph)(2)N(Ph)(2) is 1,3,5,7-tetraphenyl-1,5-diaza-3,7-diphosphacyclooctane, and P(Ph)(2)C(5) is 1,4-diphenyl-1,4-diphosphacycloheptane) have been synthesized and characterized by NMR spectroscopy, electrochemical studies, and X-ray diffraction. These chloride derivatives are readily converted to the corresponding hydride complexes [CpFe(P(Ph)(2)N(Bn)(2))H (1-H), CpFe(P(Ph)(2)N(Ph)(2))H (2-H), CpFe(P(Ph)(2)C(5))H (3-H)] and H(2) complexes [CpFe(P(Ph)(2)N(Bn)(2))(H(2))]BAr(F)(4), [1-H(2)]BAr(F)(4), (where BAr(F)(4) is B[(3,5-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3))(4)](-)), [CpFe(P(Ph)(2)N(Ph)(2))(H(2))]BAr(F)(4), [2-H(2)]BAr(F)(4), and [CpFe(P(Ph)(2)C(5))(H(2))]BAr(F)(4), [3-H(2)]BAr(F)(4), as well as [CpFe(P(Ph)(2)N(Bn)(2))(CO)]BAr(F)(4), [1-CO]Cl. Structural studies are reported for [1-H(2)]BAr(F)(4), 1-H, 2-H, and [1-CO]Cl. The conformations adopted by the chelate rings of the P(Ph)(2)N(Bn)(2) ligand in the different complexes are determined by attractive or repulsive interactions between the sixth ligand of these pseudo-octahedral complexes and the pendant N atom of the ring adjacent to the sixth ligand. An example of an attractive interaction is the observation that the distance between the N atom of the pendant amine and the C atom of the coordinated CO ligand for [1-CO]BAr(F)(4) is 2.848 ?, considerably shorter than the sum of the van der Waals radii of N and C atoms. Studies of H/D exchange by the complexes [1-H(2)](+), [2-H(2)](+), and [3-H(2)](+) carried out using H(2) and D(2) indicate that the relatively rapid H/D exchange observed for [1-H(2)](+) and [2-H(2)](+) compared to [3-H(2)](+) is consistent with intramolecular heterolytic cleavage of H(2) mediated by the pendant amine. Computational studies indicate a low barrier for heterolytic cleavage of H(2). These mononuclear Fe(II) dihydrogen complexes containing pendant amines in the ligands mimic crucial features of the distal Fe site of the active site of the [FeFe]-hydrogenase required for H-H bond formation and cleavage.  相似文献

Acyclic pyrazine-2-carboxamide and thioether containing hexadentate ligand 1,4-bis[o-(pyrazine-2-carboxamidophenyl)]-1,4-dithiobutane (H(2)bpzctb), in its deprotonated form, has afforded light brown [Ni(II)(bpzctb)](1)(S=1) and green [Cu(II)(bpzctb)](2)(S=1/2) complexes. The crystal structures of 1.CH(3)OH and 2.CH(2)Cl(2) revealed that in these complexes the ligand coordinates in a hexadentate mode, affording examples of distorted octahedral M(II)N(2)(pyrazine)N'(2)(amide)S(2)(thioether) coordination. Each complex exhibits in CH(2)Cl(2) a reversible to quasireversible cyclic voltammetric response, corresponding to the Ni(III)/Ni(II)(1) and Cu(II)/Cu(I)(2) redox process. The E(1/2) values reveal that the complexes of bpzctb(2-) are uniformly more anodic by approximately 0.2 V than those of the corresponding complexes with the analogous pyridine ligand, 1,4-bis[o-(pyridine-2-carboxamidophenyl)]-1,4-dithiobutane (H(2)bpctb), attesting that compared to pyridine, pyrazine is a better stabilizer of the Ni(ii) or Cu(i) state. Coulometric oxidation of the previously reported complex [Ni(II)(bpctb)] and 1 generates [Ni(III)(bpctb)](+) and [Ni(III)(bpzctb)](+) species, which exhibit a LMCT transition in the 470--480 nm region and axial EPR spectra corresponding to a tetragonally elongated octahedral geometry. Complex 2 exhibits EPR spectra characteristic of the d(z(2)) ground state.  相似文献

Syntheses and pH dependent electrochemical properties of aqua-ruthenium(II) complexes, [Ru(trpy)(PDA-N,N')(OH2)](ClO4)2 ([1](ClO4)2) and [Ru(trpy)(PD-N,N')(OH2)](ClO4)2 ([2](ClO4)2) (trpy = 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine, PDA = 6-acetonyl-6-hydroxy-1,10-phenanthroline-5-one, PD = 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione) are presented. Treatment of [Ru(trpy)(PD-N,N')Cl](PF6) with AgClO4 in a mixed solvent of acetone and H2O selectively produced the acetonyl-PD complex [1](ClO4)2, and the similar treatment in a mixed solvent of 2-methoxyethanol and H2O gave the PD complex [2](ClO4)2. The molecular structures of both complexes were determined by X-ray structural analysis. The proton dissociation constants of various oxidations state of [1]2+ and [2]2+ were evaluated by simulation of E(1/2) values of those redox potentials depending on pH. The simulation revealed that the acetonyl-PD complex [1]2+ underwent successive Ru(II)/Ru(III) and Ru(III)/Ru(IV) redox couples though the two redox reactions were not separated in the cyclic voltammograms. The redox behavior of [2]2+ in H2O is reasonably explained by not only the similar successive metal-centered redox reactions but also simultaneous two-electron quinone/catechol redox couple of the PD ligand including the contribution of hydration on a carbonyl carbon.  相似文献

The synthesis and comprehensive characterisation of a series of 1,2,5-selenadiazolium salts, which were generated from the direct reaction between the neutral bidentate ligand tert-butyl-DAB and a variety of heavy chalcogen halides, are reported. The formation of the cationic heterocycle from the reaction of SeX4 (X = Cl, Br) and the ligand results in a two electron redox process where the chalcogen undergoes a two electron reduction concomitant with the elimination of X2, the oxidation by-product. A reaction pathway for this chemistry has been proposed necessitating several key intermediates. These species have been synthesized and used in a stepwise series of transformations that strongly supports this very unusual reactivity for the chalcogens. In contrast, the reaction between tert-butyl DAB and TeX4 (X = Cl, Br, I), does not result in redox, rather an octahedral Te(iv) x DAB complex is formed or no reaction was observed.  相似文献

Polyamine ligands (L) have excellent binding characteristics for the formation of fac-99mTc(CO)3-based radiopharmaceuticals. Normally, these L are elaborated so as to leave pendant groups designed to impart useful biodistribution characteristics to the fac-[99mTc(CO)3L] imaging agent. Our goal is to lay a foundation for understanding the features of the bound elaborated ligands by using the fac-[Re(CO)3L]-analogue approach with the minimal prototypical ligands, diethylenetriamine (dien) or simple dien-related derivatives. Treatment of the fac-[Re(CO)3(H2O)3]+ cation with such triamine (NNN) ligands afforded fac-[Re(CO)3L]+ complexes. Ligand variations included having a central amine thioether donor, thus allowing X-ray crystallographic and NMR spectroscopic comparisons of fac-[Re(CO)3L]+ complexes with NNN and NSN ligands. fac-[Re(CO)3L]+ complexes with two terminal exo-NH groups exhibit unusually far upfield exo-NH NMR signals in DMSO-d6. Upon the addition of Cl-, these exo-NH signals move downfield, while the signals of any endo-NH or central NH groups move very little. This behavior is attributed to the formation of 1:1 ion pairs having selective Cl- hydrogen bonding to both exo-NH groups. Base addition to a DMSO-d6 solution of meso-exo-[Re(CO)3(N,N',N'-Me3dien)]PF6 led to isomerization of only one NHMe group, producing the chiral isomer. The meso isomer did not form. The [Re(CO)3(N,N,N',N',N'-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine)]triflate.[Re(CO)3(mu3-OH)]4.3.35H2O crystal, the first structure with a fac-[Re(CO)3L] complex cocrystallized with this well-known cluster, provided parameters for a bulky NNN ligand and also reveals CO-CO interlocking intermolecular interactions that could stabilize the crystal.  相似文献

A ligand, 4-(bis(2-picolyl)aminomethyl)-4′,4″-dimethyltriphenylamine ((2-py)2TPA) and its copper complex were designed and prepared in order to examine intramolecular interactions of organic cation radical–metal ion. CV measurements of the copper complex showed reversible CuI/CuII and TPA/TPA redox couples. The spin–spin interaction in [Cu((2-py)2TPA)Cl]2+ generated upon one electron oxidation of the copper complex was examined by ESR measurements.  相似文献
