The synthesis of oligoguanylates [oligo(G)s] is catalyzed by a template of oligocytidylates [oligo(C)s] containing 2',5'- and 3',5'-linked phosphodiester bonds with and without incorporated C5'ppC groupings. An oligo(C) template containing exclusively 2',5'-phosphodiester bonds also serves as a template for the synthesis of complementary oligo(G)s. The oligo(C) template was prepared by the condensation of the 5'-phosphorimidazolide of cytidine on montmorillonite clay. These studies establish that RNA oligomers prepared by mineral catalysis, or other routes on the primitive earth, did not have to be exclusively 3',5'-linked to catalyze template-directed synthesis, since oligo(C)s containing a variety of linkage isomers serve as templates for the formation of complementary oligo(G)s. These findings support the postulate that origin of the RNA world was initiated by the RNA oligomers produced by polymerization of activated monomers formed by prebiotic processes.  相似文献

The rate constants for the condensation reaction of the 5'-phosphorimidazolide of adenosine (ImpA) to form dinucleotides and oligonucleotides have been measured in the presence of Na(+)-volclay (a Na(+)-montmorillonite) in pH 8 aqueous solution at 25 degrees C. The rates of the reaction of ImpA with an excess of adenosine 5'-monophosphoramidate (NH2pA), P1,P2-diadenosine 5',5'-pyrophosphate (A5'ppA), or adenosine 5'-monophosphate (5'-AMP or pA) in the presence of the montmorillonite to form NH2pA3'pA, A5'ppA3'pA, and pA3'pA, respectively, were measured. Only 3',5'-linked products were observed. The magnitude of the rate constants decrease in the order NH2pA3'pA > A5'-ppA3'pA > pA3'pA. The binding of ImpA to montmorillonite was measured, and the adsorption isotherm was determined. The binding of ImpA to montmorillonite and the formation of higher oligonucleotides is not observed in the absence of salts. Mg2+ enhances binding and oligonucleotide formation more than Ca2+ and Na+. The rate constants for the oligonucleotide formation were determined from the reaction products formed from 10 to 40 mM ImpA in the presence of Na(+)-montmorillonite using the computer program SIMFIT. The magnitudes of the rate constants for the formation of oligonucleotides increased in the order 2-mer < 3-mer < 4-mer ... 7-mer. The rate constants for dinucleotide and trinucleotide formation are more than 1000 times larger than those measured in the absence of montmorillonite. The rate constants for the formation of dinucleotide, trinucleotide, and tetranucleotide are 41,2.6, and 3.7 times larger than those for the formation of oligo(G)s with a poly(C) template. The hydrolysis of ImpA was accelerated 35 times in the presence of the montmorillonite. The catalytic ability of montmorillonite to form dinucleotides and oligonucleotides is quantitatively evaluated and possible pathways for oligo(A) formation are proposed.  相似文献

Oligomers of adenylic acid of up to the 11-mer in length are formed by the reaction of the phosphorimidazolide of adenosine (ImpA) in pH 8 aqueous solution at room temperature in the presence of Na(+)-montmorillonite. These oligomers are joined by phosphodiester bonds in which the 3',5'-linkage predominates over the 2',5'-linkage by a 2:1 ratio. Reaction of a 9:1 mixture of ImpA, A5'ppA results in the formation of oligomers with a 3:1 ratio of 3',5'- to 2',5'-linked phosphodiester bonds. A high proportion of these oligomers contain the A5'ppA grouping. A5'ppA reacts much more rapidly with ImpA than does 5'-ADP (ppA) or 5'-ATP (pppA). The exchangeable cation associated with the montmorillonite effects the observed catalysis with Li+, Na+, NH4+, and Ca2+ being the more effective while Mg2+ and Al3+ are almost ineffective catalysts. 2',5'-Linked oligomers, up to the tetramer in length, are formed using UO2(2+)-montmorillonite. The structure analysis of individual oligomer fractions was performed by selective enzymatic and KOH hydrolytic studies followed by HPLC analysis of the reaction products. It is concluded from the composition of the oligomers that the rate of addition ImpA to a 3'-terminus containing a 2',5'-linkage is slower than the addition to a nucleoside joined by a 3',5'-linked phosphodiester bond. The potential importance of mineral catalysis of the formation of RNA and other oligomers on primitive Earth is discussed.  相似文献

The effects of amine structure on the montmorillonite-catalyzed oligomerization of the 5'-phosphoramidates of adenosine are investigated. 4-Aminopyridine derivatives yielded oligoadenylates as long as dodecamers with a regioselectivity for 3',5'-phosphodiester bond formation averaging 88%. Linear and cyclic oligomers are obtained and no A5'ppA-containing products are detected. Oligomers as long as the hexanucleotide are obtained using 2-aminobenzimidazole as the activating group. A predominance of pA2'pA is detected in the dimer fraction along with cyclic 3',5'-trimer; no A5'ppA-containing oligomers were detected. Little or no oligomer formation was observed when morpholine, piperidine, pyrazole, 1,2,4-triazole, and 2-pyridone are used as phosphate-activating groups. The effects of the structure of the phosphate activating group on the oligomer structure and chain lengths are discussed.  相似文献

We have recently shown that hairpins containing 2',5'-linked RNA loops exhibit superior thermodynamic stability compared to native hairpins comprised of 3',5'-RNA loops [Hannoush, R. N.; Damha, M. J. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2001, 123, 12368-12374]. A remarkable feature of the 2',5'-r(UUCG) tetraloop is that, unlike the corresponding 3',5'-linked tetraloop, its stability is virtually independent of the hairpin stem composition. Here, we determine the solution structure of unusually stable hairpins of the sequence 5'-G(1)G(2)A(3)C(4)-(U(5)U(6)C(7)G(8))-G(9)(U/T(10))C(11)C(12)-3' containing a 2',5'-linked RNA (UUCG) loop and either an RNA or a DNA stem. The 2',5'-linked RNA loop adopts a new fold that is completely different from that previously observed for the native 3',5'-linked RNA loop. The 2',5'-RNA loop is stabilized by (a). U5.G8 wobble base pairing, with both nucleotide residues in the anti-conformation, (b). extensive base stacking, and (c). sugar-base and sugar-sugar contacts, all of which contribute to the extra stability of this hairpin structure. The U5:G8 base pair stacks on top of the C4:G9 loop-closing base pair and thus appears as a continuation of the stem. The loop uracil U6 base stacks above U5 base, while the cytosine C7 base protrudes out into the solvent and does not participate in any of the stabilizing interactions. The different sugar pucker and intrinsic bonding interactions within the 2',5'-linked ribonucleotides help explain the unusual stability and conformational properties displayed by 2',5'-RNA tetraloops. These findings are relevant for the design of more effective RNA-based aptamers, ribozymes, and antisense agents and identify the 2',5'-RNA loop as a novel structural motif.  相似文献

The separation and characterization of oligosaccharides obtained by hyaluronidase [E.C. 3.2.1.35] digestion of Escherichia coli K4 polysaccharide using online high-performance liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HPLC/ESI-MS) are presented. Complete identification and structural information for oligosaccharides containing 2-24 monomers (from 2- to 24-mers) were obtained. In particular, smaller K4 species, from 2-mers to 4-mers, exhibited mainly [M-H](-1) anions, whereas the 6- to 8-mers existed predominantly at the charge state of -2. The K4 oligomers from 10-mers to 14-mers were mainly represented by [M-3H](-3) anions while species from 16- to 20-mers were characterized by a charge state of -4. K4 oligosaccharides from 22- to 24-mers existed as [M-4H](-4) and [M-5H](-5) anions and, for this latter species, ions having a charge state of -6 appeared. For smaller K4 species, in particular from 6-mers to 10-mers, ESI-MS revealed anions related to the loss of one monosaccharide unit from the oligomers due to apparent collisional activation and ion source fragmentation. However, no odd-numbered anions were produced for K4 2/4-mer species or for oligosaccharides greater than 12-mers, while for K4 species 8/10-mer, ESI-MS revealed odd-numbered anions generally in low relative abundance making the interpretation of the spectra easier. The ESI-MS spectra of oligosaccharides separated by online HPLC were applied to the evaluation of the K4 polymerization process, confirming that the addition of fructose units is not critical for chain elongation as variously fructosylated oligomer species were detected directly on the K4 carbohydrate backbone.  相似文献

Ferrocene-terminated oligo(phenylenevinylene) (OPV) methyl thiols have been prepared by orthogonal coupling of phenylene monomers. Ethoxy substituents on the phenyl rings improve the solubility of OPV, enabling the synthesis of longer oligomers. Self-assembled monolayers containing a mixture of a ferrocene OPV methyl thiol and a diluent alkanethiol were deposited on gold. A cyclic voltammetric study of monolayers containing oligomers of the same length with and without ethoxy solubilizing groups reveals that both solubilized and unsolubilized oligomers form well-packed self-assembled monolayers. Changing the position of the solubilizing groups on an oligomer chain does not preclude packing of the oligomer in the monolayer. Conventional chronoamperometry, which can be used to measure rate constants up to approximately 10(4) s(-1), is too slow to measure the electron-transfer rate through these oligomers over distances up to 35 A. OPV bridges are expected to be highly conjugated unlike oligo(phenyleneethynylene) bridges, which may be only partially conjugated because of rotation of the phenyl rings about the ethynylene bonds. Because of its high conjugation, OPV may prove useful as a molecular wire.  相似文献

The possible role of catalysis in forming a limited number of RNAs from activated monomers is investigated by examining the sequence- and regioselectivity in the montmorillonite-catalyzed formation of RNA dimers and trimers. The reactivity of A was similar to that of G, and C was comparable in reactivity to U. Yet the reactivity of the purine nucleotides differed from that of the pyrimidines. In the reaction of nucleotides (pN) with activated monomers (ImpN), the sequence- and regioselectivity was Pu(3')Py > Pu(3')Pu = Pu(2')Py > Pu(2')Pu. The 5'-pyrimidine initiated dimers formed less efficiently than the 5'-purine initiated dimers. Trimer formation was investigated by the synthesis of 8 dimers (pNpN) and measuring the yields of trimers formed in the reaction of each dimer with a mixture of equal molar amounts of four activated monomers. The reactivity of the dimers depended on the nucleotide attached to the 3'-end of the RNA and the regiochemistry of the phosphodiester bond. Rules based on these studies are proposed to predict the sequence- and regioselectivity of the RNAs formed in montmorillonite-catalyzed reactions. These rules are consistent with the structures of the 2-5-mers formed in the reaction of equimolar amounts of ImpA and ImpC. This research establishes that the montmorillonite catalyst limits the number of RNA oligomer isomers formed. The potential significance of these findings to the origins of life is discussed.  相似文献

The range of available peptide ribonucleic acid (PRNA) monomers was fully expanded for the use in solid-phase synthesis of PRNA oligomers, which were designed to reversibly control the recognition and complexation behavior of the complementary DNA/RNA by external factors. A couple of PRNA 12-mers with desired purine-pyrimidine mixed sequences were prepared indeed in high yields by the solid-phase synthesis.  相似文献

Two new 1,10‐phenanthroline (Phen) containing conjugated oligomers, oligo‐3,8‐bis(4‐octylthiophene‐2‐yl)‐1,10‐phenanthroline) (PDTPh) and oligo‐3,8‐bis‐(4‐octyl‐5‐(4‐ctylthiophene‐2‐yl)thiophene‐2‐yl)‐1,10‐phenanthroline) (PTTPh), as well as their corresponding monomers (OTPhOT and OTOTPhOTOT) were prepared and their metal ion‐sensing properties were investigated. The oligomers showed high thermal stability, good proccessibility, and gave varied color when reacted with different metal ions. Oligomers also showed distinct responses toward metal ions when compared with their corresponding monomers, suggesting that the ionochromic responses were determined by not only the coordinating ability of Phen unit but also the conformation of oligomer chains. Moreover, the differences in the ion‐sensing behaviors between OTPhOT and OTOTPhOTOT also suggested that the coordination ability of Phen depends on its substituents. The oligo‐alkylthiophene moieties in PDTPh and PTTPh acted as spacers to reorganize the conformation of the oligomer chains, as well as the electron donating groups to adjust the coordination ability of the Phen. These findings provide a clue for designing Phen‐containing ion‐sensors for specified ion‐sensing applications. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A set of fluorene oligomers has been synthesized by stepwise palladium-catalyzed (Suzuki) couplings of fluorene monomers. Ureidopyrimidinones (UPy), functional groups that can dimerize via quadruple hydrogen bonds, were attached to both ends of the oligofluorenes. The resulting bis-UPy-terminated oligomers self-assemble into supramolecular chain polymers. For comparison, oligofluorenes of the same oligomer lengths but without terminal hydrogen-bonding groups were synthesized. Chains of hydrogen-bonded fluorenes can be simply endcapped by a variety of chain stoppers, molecules that have one UPy group. In this manner, we have endcapped the hydrogen-bonded fluorene chains with either oligo(p-phenylenevinylene) or perylene bisimide. Energy-transfer experiments in solution and the solid state demonstrate that oligofluorenes can donate energy to a variety of energy acceptors, but that this energy transfer occurs most effectively when the donor fluorene is hydrogen-bonded to the acceptor.  相似文献

Hydrolytic reactions of 2',3'-O-methyleneadenos-5'-yl bis(2',5'-di-O-methylurid-3'-yl) phosphate (1), a sugar O-alkylated trinucleoside 3',3',5'-monophosphate, have been followed by RP HPLC over a wide pH range. Under neutral and mildly acidic conditions, the only reaction observed was a pH-independent cleavage of the O-C5' bond of the 5'-linked nucleoside. Under more alkaline conditions nucleophilic attack by hydroxide ion starts to compete. The reaction is first order in [OH(-)] and becomes predominant at pH 10. Each of the 3'-linked nucleosides is displaced 2.9 times as readily as the 5'-linked one. To determine the beta(lg) value for the hydroxide ion catalyzed hydrolysis of 1, two diesters (2a,b) having 2',3'-O-methyleneadenosine (7) and 2',5'-di-O-methyluridine (4) as leaving groups were hydrolyzed under alkaline conditions. Since the beta(lg) value for this reaction is known, DeltapK(a) between 4 and 7 could be calculated. The beta(lg) for the hydrolysis of 1 was estimated to be -0.5 with use of this information. The mechanisms of the partial reactions and the role of leaving group properties in ribozyme reactions of large ribozymes are discussed.  相似文献

Hydrolytic reactions of guanosyl-(3',3')-uridine and guanosyl-(3',3')-(2',5'-di-O-methyluridine) have been followed by RP HPLC over a wide pH range at 363.2 K in order to elucidate the role of the 2'-hydroxyl group as a hydrogen-bond donor upon departure of the 3'-uridine moiety. Under neutral and basic conditions, guanosyl-(3',3')-uridine undergoes hydroxide ion-catalyzed cleavage (first order in [OH(-)]) of the P-O3' bonds, giving uridine and guanosine 2',3'-cyclic monophosphates, which are subsequently hydrolyzed to a mixture of 2'- and 3'-monophosphates. This bond rupture is 23 times as fast as the corresponding cleavage of the P-O3' bond of guanosyl-(3',3')-(2',5'-di-O-methyluridine) to yield 2',5'-O-dimethyluridine and guanosine 2',3'-cyclic phosphate. Under acidic conditions, where the reactivity differences are smaller, depurination and isomerization compete with the cleavage. The effect of Zn(2+) on the cleavage of the P-O3' bonds of guanosyl-(3',3')-uridine is modest: about 6-fold acceleration was observed at [Zn(2+)] = 5 mmol L(-)(1) and pH 5.6. With guanosyl-(3',3')-(2',5'-di-O-methyluridine) the rate-acceleration effect is greater: a 37-fold acceleration was observed. The mechanisms of the partial reactions, in particular the effects of the 2'-hydroxyl group on the departure of the 3'-linked nucleoside, are discussed.  相似文献

Syntheses are reported of new 4,4'-dialkyl-2,2'-bithiazole oligomers that have alkenoxy side chains that are capable of easy conversion to oligomers with functionalized side chains, e.g., terminally substituted hydroxy chains. The crystal structures of two representative oligomers (4,4',4' ',4' "-tetra-(2-propenoxymethyl)-2,2',5',5' ',2' ',2' "-quaterthiazole (3P2) and 4,4',4' ',4' "-tetra-(3-hydroxypropyloxymethyl)-2,2',5',5' ',2' ',2' "-quaterthiazole (3H2)) were determined; 3P2 crystallizes in a pi-stacked motif with two molecules per unit cell, whereas 3H2 forms pi-stacks that are linked with hydrogen bonds to form infinite two-dimensional sheets with one molecule per unit cell. A comparison of the UV-vis spectra of the compounds in solution and in the solid state provides unequivocal evidence for the presence of a Davydov splitting, W(D) approximately 0.2 eV, in solid 3P2. The spectra are interpreted in the framework of molecular exciton theory to extract a value of the intermolecular transfer integral, J approximately 0.2 eV, for a total exciton bandwidth of ca. 0.8 eV. Monte Carlo calculations were used to determine the density of states of the exciton band and the absorption and emission line shapes of the 0 <-- 0 transition. It is suggested that the "three-humped" absorption profile typical of partially crystalline, regioregular polymers is the "optical signature" of pi-stacking.  相似文献

A method for automated solid-phase synthesis of oligo(disulfide)s was developed. It is based on a synthetic cycle comprising removal of a protecting group from a resin-bound thiol followed by treatment with monomers containing a thiosulfonate as an activated precursor. For ease of purification and characterization, the disulfide oligomers were synthesized as extensions of oligonucleotides on an automated oligonucleotide synthesizer. Six different dithiol monomer building blocks were synthesized. Sequence-defined oligomers of up to seven disulfide units were synthesized and purified. The sequence of the oligomer was confirmed by tandem MS/MS analysis. One of the monomers contains a coumarin cargo that can be released by a thiol-mediated release mechanism. When the monomer was incorporated into an oligo(disulfide) and subjected to reducing conditions, the cargo was released under near-physiological conditions, which underlines the potential use of these molecules in drug delivery systems.  相似文献

The syntheses of monomeric nucleosides and 3'-O-phosphoramidite building blocks en route to alpha-L-ribo-configured locked nucleic acids (alpha-L-LNA), composed entirely of alpha-L-LNA monomers (alpha-L-ribo configuration) or of a mixture of alpha-L-LNA and DNA monomers (beta-D-ribo configuration), are described and the alpha-L-LNA oligomers are studied. Bicyclic 5-methylcytosin-1-yl and adenine-9-yl nucleoside derivatives have been prepared and the phosphoramidite approach has been used for the automated oligomerization leading to alpha-L-LNA oligomers. Binding studies revealed very efficient recognition of single-stranded DNA and RNA target oligonucleotide strands. Thus, stereoirregular alpha-L-LNA 11-mers containing a mixture of alpha-L-LNA monomers and DNA monomers ("mix-mer alpha-L-LNA") were shown to display DeltaT(m) values of +1 to +3 degrees C per modification toward DNA and +4 to +5 degrees C toward RNA when compared with the corresponding unmodified DNA x DNA and DNA x RNA reference duplexes. The corresponding DeltaT(m) values per modification for the stereoregular fully modified alpha-L-LNA were determined to be +4 degrees C (against DNA) and +5 degrees C (against RNA). 11-Mer alpha-L-LNAs (mix-mer alpha- L-LNA or fully modified alpha- L-LNA) were shown in vitro to be significantly stabilized toward 3'-exonucleolytic degradation. A duplex formed between RNA and either mix-mer alpha-L-LNA or fully modified alpha-L-LNA induced in vitro Escherichia coli RNase H-mediated cleavage, albeit very slow, of the RNA targets at high enzyme concentrations.  相似文献

Five dinucleating ligands (1-5) and one trinucleating ligand (6) incorporating 1,5,9-triazacyclododecan-3-yloxy groups attached to an aromatic scaffold have been synthesized. The ability of the Zn(2+) complexes of these ligands to promote the transesterification of dinucleoside 3',5'-monophosphates to a 2',3'-cyclic phosphate derived from the 3'-linked nucleoside by release of the 5'-linked nucleoside has been studied over a narrow pH range, from pH 5.8 to 7.2, at 90 degrees C. The dinuclear complexes show marked base moiety selectivity. Among the four dinucleotide 3',5'-phosphates studied, viz. adenylyl-3',5'-adenosine (ApA), adenylyl-3',5'-uridine (ApU), uridylyl-3',5'-adenosine (UpA), and uridylyl-3',5'-uridine (UpU), the dimers containing one uracil base (ApU and UpA) are cleaved up to 2 orders of magnitude more readily than those containing either two uracil bases (UpU) or two adenine bases (ApA). The trinuclear complex (6), however, cleaves UpU as readily as ApU and UpA, while the cleavage of ApA remains slow. UV spectrophotometric and (1)H NMR spectroscopic studies with one of the dinucleating ligands (3) verify binding to the bases of UpU and ApU at less than millimolar concentrations, while no interaction with the base moieties of ApA is observed. With ApU and UpA, one of the Zn(2+)-azacrown moieties in all likelihood anchors the cleaving agent to the uracil base of the substrate, while the other azacrown moiety serves as a catalyst for the phosphodiester transesterification. With UpU, two azacrown moieties are engaged in the base moiety binding. The catalytic activity is, hence, lost, but it can be restored by addition of a third azacrown group on the cleaving agent.  相似文献

This article reports another step in an ongoing effort to understand the fragmentation of T-rich oligodeoxynucleotides. We extended an earlier investigation of T-rich 4-mers to T-rich 6-mers, 8-mers and 10-mers by using four different tandem mass spectrometric methods. The methods include low-energy collisionally activated decomposition (CAD) of electrospray ionization (ESI)-produced ions, source-CAD of ESI-produced ions, post-source decay (PSD), and CAD of matrix assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI)-generated ions. The most abundant fragment ions produced from [M - 2H]2- precursors upon low-energy CAD in an ion trap are the [a - B]- and their complementary w ions. The predominant cleavage sites for T-rich oligodeoxynucleotides are always the 3' C-O bonds adjoining a non-T nucleobase (i.e., a base with a higher proton affinity (PA) than that of T). The relative abundance of [a - B]- correlates with the PAs of the nucleobases, underscoring the importance of proton transfer to the base. The propensity to form [a - B]- ions falls in the order of G > C approximately A > T. Structural isomers up to 10-mers can be readily sequenced and distinguished with each of the four tandem mass spectrometric methods applied. The fragmentation of oligodeoxynucleotides in which various phosphates were replaced with methylphosphonate is a measure of the participation of the phosphate proton in the formation of [a - B] ions. For 4 and 5-mers, transfer of an acidic proton from the 5'-phosphate to the departing base is the initiating step in the formation of [a - B]- ions.  相似文献

We report here the results of a comparative study of hairpin loops that differ in the connectivity of phosphodiester linkages (3',5'- versus 2',5'-linkages). In addition, we have studied the effect of changing the stem composition on the thermodynamic stability of hairpin loops. Specifically, we constructed hairpins containing one of six stem duplex combinations, i.e., DNA:DNA ("DD"), RNA:RNA ("RR"), DNA:RNA ("DR"), 2',5'-RNA:RNA ("RR"), 2',5'-RNA:DNA ("RD"), and 2',5'-RNA:2',5'-RNA ("RR"), and one of three tetraloop compositions, i.e., 2',5'-RNA ("R"), RNA ("R"), and DNA ("D"). All hairpins contained the conserved and well-studied loop sequence 5'-...C(UUCG)G...-3' [Cheong et al. Nature 1990, 346, 680-682]. We show that the 2',5'-linked loop C(UUCG)G, i.e.,...C(3'p5')U(2'p5')U(2'p5')C(2'p5')G(2'p5')G(3'p5')..., like its "normal" RNA counterpart, forms an unusually stable tetraloop structure. We also show that the stability imparted by 2',5'-RNA loops is dependent on base sequence, a property that is shared with the regioisomeric 3',5'-RNA loops. Remarkably, we find that the stability of the UUCG tetraloop is virtually independent of the hairpin stem composition (DD, RR, RR, etc.), whereas the native RNA tetraloop exerts extra stability only when the stem is duplex RNA (R:R). As a result, the relative stabilities of hairpins with a 2',5'-linked tetraloop, e.g. ggac(UUCG)gtcc (T(m) = 61.4 degrees C), are often superior to those with RNA tetraloops, e.g. ggac(UUCG)gtcc (T(m) = 54.6 degrees C). In fact, it has been possible to observe the formation of a 2',5'-RNA:DNA hybrid duplex by linking the hybrid's strands to a (UUCG) loop. These duplexes (RD), which are not stable enough to form in an intermolecular complex [Wasner et al. Biochemistry 1998, 37, 7478-7486], were stable at room temperature (T(m) approximately 50 degrees C). Thus, 2',5'-loops have potentially important implications in the study of nucleic acid complexes where structural data are not yet available. Furthermore, they may be particularly useful as structural motifs for synthetic ribozymes and nucleic acid "aptamers".  相似文献
