This paper merges some classifications of G-M-type Banach spaces simplifically, discusses the condition of K 0(B(X)) = 0 for operator algebra B(X) on a Banach space X, and obtains a result to improve Laustsen's sufficient condition, gives an example to show that XX 2 is not a sufficient condition of K 0(B(X)) = 0.  相似文献

Given Banach spaces X, Yand a compact Hausdorff space K, we use polymeasures to give necessary conditions for a multilinear operator from C(K, X) into Yto be completely continuous (resp. unconditionally converging). We deduce necessary and sufficient conditions for Xto have the Schur property (resp. to contain no copy of c 0), and for Kto be scattered. This extends results concerning linear operators.  相似文献

In this paper, (p,Y)-Bessel operator sequences, operator frames and (p,Y)-Riesz bases for a Banach space X are introduced and discussed as generalizations of the usual concepts for a Hilbert space and of the g-frames. It is proved that the set of all (p,Y)-Bessel operator sequences for a Banach space X is a Banach space and isometrically isomorphic to the operator space B(X,p(Y)). Some necessary and sufficient conditions for a sequence of operators to be a (p,Y)-Bessel operator sequence are given. Also, a characterization of an independent (p,Y)-operator frame for X is obtained. Lastly, it is shown that an independent (p,Y)-operator frame for X is just a (p,Y)-Riesz basis for X and has a unique dual (q,Y*)-operator frame for X*.  相似文献

Let Ω be a compact Hausdorff space, X a Banach space, C(Ω, X) the Banach space of continuous X-valued functions on Ω under the uniform norm, U: C(Ω, X) → Y a bounded linear operator and U #, U # two natural operators associated to U. For each 1 ≤ s < ∞, let the conditions (α) U ∈ Π s (C(Ω, X), Y); (β)U # ∈ Π s (C(Ω), Π s (X, Y)); (γ) U # ε Π s (X, Π s (C(Ω), Y)). A general result, [10, 13], asserts that (α) implies (β) and (γ). In this paper, in case s = 2, we give necessary and sufficient conditions that natural operators on C([0, 1], l p ) with values in l 1 satisfies (α), (β) and (γ), which show that the above implication is the best possible result.  相似文献

Let X denote a specific space of the class of X α,p Banach sequence spaces which were constructed by Hagler and the first named author as classes of hereditarily ℓp Banach spaces. We show that for p > 1 the Banach space X contains asymptotically isometric copies of ℓp. It is known that any member of the class is a dual space. We show that the predual of X contains isometric copies of ℓp where 1/p + 1/q = 1. For p = 1 it is known that the predual of the Banach space X contains asymptotically isometric copies of c 0. Here we give a direct proof of the known result that X contains asymptotically isometric copies of ℓ1.  相似文献

Let (e i ) be a dictionary for a separable infinite-dimensional Banach space X. We consider the problem of approximation by linear combinations of dictionary elements with quantized coefficients drawn usually from a ‘finite alphabet’. We investigate several approximation properties of this type and connect them to the Banach space geometry of X. The existence of a total minimal system with one of these properties, namely the coefficient quantization property, is shown to be equivalent to X containing c 0. We also show that, for every ε>0, the unit ball of every separable infinite-dimensional Banach space X contains a dictionary (x i ) such that the additive group generated by (x i ) is (3+ε)−1-separated and 1/3-dense in X.   相似文献

Using a combinatorial approach that avoids geometry, this paper studies the structure of KT(G/B), the T-equivariant K-theory of the generalized flag variety G/B. This ring has a natural basis (the double Grothendieck polynomials), where is the structure sheaf of the Schubert variety Xw. For rank two cases we compute the corresponding structure constants of the ring KT(G/B) and, based on this data, make a positivity conjecture for general G which generalizes the theorems of M. Brion (for K(G/B)) and W. Graham (for HT*(G/B)). Let [Xλ]KT(G/B) be the class of the homogeneous line bundle on G/B corresponding to the character of T indexed by λ. For general G we prove “Pieri–Chevalley formulas” for the products , , , and , where λ is dominant. By using the Chern character and comparing lowest degree terms the products which are computed in this paper also give results for the Grothendieck polynomials, double Schubert polynomials, and ordinary Schubert polynomials in, respectively K(G/B), HT*(G/B) and H*(G/B).  相似文献

The results of Kasparov, Connes, Higson, and Loring imply the coincidence of the functors [[qℂ ⊗ K, BK]] = [[C 0(ℝ2) ⊗ K, BK]] for any C*-algebra B; here[[A, B]] denotes the set of homotopy classes of asymptotic homomorphisms from A to B. Inthe paper, this assertion is strengthened; namely, it is shown that the algebras qℂ ⊗ K and C 0(ℝ2) ⊗ K are equivalent in the category whose objects are C*-algebras and morphisms are classes of homotopic asymptotic homomorphisms. Some geometric properties of the obtained equivalence are studied. Namely, the algebras qℂ ⊗ K and C 0(ℝ2) ⊗ K are represented as fields of C*-algebras; it is proved that the equivalence is not fiber-preserving, i.e., is does not take fibers to fibers. It is also proved that the algebras under consideration are not homotopy equivalent.__________Translated from Matematicheskie Zametki, vol. 77, no. 5, 2005, pp. 788–796.Original Russian Text Copyright ©2005 by T. We study the class of bounded C 0-semigroups T=(T t ) t0 on a Banach space X satisfying the asymptotic finite dimensionality condition: codim X 0(T)<, where X 0(T):={x X:limt T t x=0}. We prove a theorem which provides some necessary and sufficient conditions for asymptotic finite dimensionality.  相似文献

We define the Volodin hermitian algebraic K-theory for a (discrete) ring with an involution and show that it is isomorphic to Karoubi's hermitian algebraic K-theory. We also construct the Volodin model X(R *) of hermitian algebraic K-theory for a simplicial ring R * and show that it is a homotopy fiber of the map B Ô(R *)B Ô(R *)+. We also prove the general linear version of this result, which has been claimed in the existing literature, but whose proof was overlooked.  相似文献

ComplexK-theory ofBSL3(Z) andBSt3(Z) are computed. We first study a Brown-Peterson (BP) version of Soulé's arguments. Then we consider complexK-theory by using a Conner-Floyd type theorem.  相似文献

Let C[0, T] denote the space of real-valued continuous functions on the interval [0, T] with an analogue w ϕ of Wiener measure and for a partition 0 = t 0 < t 1 < ... < t n < t n+1 = T of [0, T], let X n : C[0, T] → ℝ n+1 and X n+1: C[0, T] → ℝ n+2 be given by X n (x) = (x(t 0), x(t 1), ..., x(t n )) and X n+1(x) = (x(t 0), x(t 1), ..., x(t n+1)), respectively. In this paper, using a simple formula for the conditional w ϕ-integral of functions on C[0, T] with the conditioning function X n+1, we derive a simple formula for the conditional w ϕ-integral of the functions with the conditioning function X n . As applications of the formula with the function X n , we evaluate the conditional w ϕ-integral of the functions of the form F m (x) = ∫0 T (x(t)) m for xC[0, T] and for any positive integer m. Moreover, with the conditioning X n , we evaluate the conditional w ϕ-integral of the functions in a Banach algebra which is an analogue of the Cameron and Storvick’s Banach algebra . Finally, we derive the conditional analytic Feynman w ϕ-integrals of the functions in .   相似文献

Let X be an arbitrary Banach space, K be a nonempty closed convex subset of X, and T : KK be a Lipschitzian and hemicontractive mapping with the property lim inft→∞((t)/t) > 0. It is shown that the Ishikawa iteration procedures are weakly T-stable. As consequences, several related results deal with the weak stability of these procedures for the iteration proximation of solutions of nonlinear equations involving accretive operators. Our results improve and extend those corresponding results announced by Osilike.  相似文献

LetB be a separable Banach space and let {:||1} denote the unit ball ofB *. LetX be a symmetricp-stableB-valued random variable and let {X j } j=1 n be i.i.d. copies ofX. LetB 1 be a finite-dimensional Banach space with a symmetric unconditional basis {y j } j=1 n . An upper bound is obtained for that improves the one given by Giné, Marcus and Zinn [J. Let X be an infinite-dimensional Banach space with weight τ. By Cld AW (X), we denote the hyperspace of nonempty closed sets in X with the Attouch—Wets topology. By Fin AW (X), Comp AW (X) and Bdd AW (X), we denote the subspaces of Cld AW (X) consisting of finite sets, compact sets and bounded closed sets, respectively. In this paper, it is proved that Fin AW (X)≈Comp AW (X)≈ℓ2(τ)×ℓ2 f ℓandℓBdd AW (X)≈ℓ2(2τ)×ℓ2 f where ≈ means ‘is homeomorphic to’, ℓ2(τ) is the Hilbert space with weight τ (ℓ2(ℵ0)=ℓ2 the separable Hilbert space) and ℓ2 f ={(x i ) iεN εℓ2x i =0 except for finitely many iεN}.  相似文献

Let X be a connected finite CW complex. We show that, given a positive homomorphism Hom(K *(C(X)), K *(A)) with [1 C(X)][1 A ], where A is a unital separable simple C *-algebra with real rank zero, stable rank one and weakly unperforated K 0(A), there exists a homomorphism h: C(X)A such that h induces . We also prove a structure result for unital separable simple C *-algebras A with real rank zero, stable rank one and weakly unperforated K 0(A), namely, there exists a simple AH-algebra of real rank zero contained in A which determines the K-theory of A.  相似文献

Assume that X is a left Banach module over a unital C*-algebra A. It is shown that almost every n-sesquilinear-quadratic mapping h:X×X×XnA is an n-sesquilinear-quadratic mapping when holds for all x,y,z1,…,znX.Moreover, we prove the generalized Hyers–Ulam–Rassias stability of an n-sesquilinear-quadratic mapping on a left Banach module over a unital C*-algebra.  相似文献

Let B be a real separable Banach space with norm |ß|B, X, X1, X2, … be a sequence of centered independent identically distributed random variables taking values in B. Let sn = sn(t), 0 ≤ t ≤ 1 be the random broken line such that sn(0) = 0, sn(k/n) = n−1/2 Σi=1k Xi for n = 1, 2, … and k = 1, …, n. Denote |sn|B = sup0 ≤ t ≤ 1 |sn(t)|B and assume that w(t), 0 ≤ t ≤ 1 is the Wiener process such that covariances of w(1) and X are equal. We show that under appropriate conditions P(|sn|B > r) = P(|w|B > r)(1 + o(1)) and give estimates of the remainder term. The results are new already in the case of B having finite dimension.  相似文献
