The chemical reactivity, molecular structure, and surface characteristics of Cu(I) camphor hydrazone compounds indicate that exist a structural pathway for conversion of coordination polymers into dimers and vice versa. By X-ray diffraction analysis two polymorphic forms of the chain compound [{CuCl}(2)(Me(2)NNC(10)H(14)O)](n) were identified that essentially differ in the structural arrangement and geometry of the non-linear copper atom. The characterization of the dimer complexes [{Cu(Me(2)NNC(10)H(14)O)}(2)(μ-X)(2)] (X = Cl or Br) was also achieved by X-ray diffraction analysis showing the unusual arrangement of the camphor hydrazone ligands that occupy the same side of the molecule. Bond lengths and torsion angles show that one of the polymorphic forms is structurally close to the related dimer. The surface composition of the coordination polymers [{CuX}(2)(YNC(10)H(14)O)](n) (X = Cl, Y = NMe(2), NH(2); X = Br, Y = NH(2)) and dimers [{Cu(Me(2)NNC(10)H(14)O)}(2)(μ-X)(2)] (X = Cl or Br) studied by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy corroborate the molecular properties and the reactivity trend.  相似文献

A study of the reversible CO2 fixation by a series of macrocyclic dicopper complexes is described. The dicopper macrocyclic complexes [Cu2(OH)2(Me2p)](CF3SO3)2, 1(CF3SO3)2, and [Cu2(mu-OH)2(Me2m)](CF3SO3)2, 2(CF3SO3)2, (Scheme 1) containing terminally bound and bridging hydroxide ligands, respectively, promote reversible inter- and intramolecular CO2 fixation that results in the formation of the carbonate complexes [{Cu2(Me2p)}2(mu-CO3)2](CF3SO3)4, 4(CF3SO3)4, and [Cu2(mu-CO3)(Me2m)](CF3SO3)2, 5(CF3SO3)2. Under a N2 atmosphere the complexes evolve CO2 and revert to the starting hydroxo complexes 1(CF3SO3)2 and 2(CF3SO3)2, a reaction the rate of which linearly depends on [H2O]. In the presence of water, attempts to crystallize 5(CF3SO3)2 afford [{Cu2(Me2m)(H2O)}2(mu-CO3)2](CF3SO3)4, 6(CF3SO3)4, which appears to rapidly convert to 5(CF3SO3)2 in acetonitrile solution. [Cu2(OH)2(H3m)]2+, 7, which contains a larger macrocyclic ligand, irreversibly reacts with atmospheric CO2 to generate cagelike [{Cu2(H3m)}2(mu-CO3)2](ClO4)4, 8(ClO4)4. However, addition of 1 equiv of HClO4 per Cu generates [Cu2(H3m)(CH3CN)4]4+ (3), and subsequent addition of Et3N under air reassembles 8. The carbonate complexes 4(CF3SO3)4, 5(CF3SO3)2, 6(CF3SO3)4, and 8(ClO4)4 have been characterized in the solid state by X-ray crystallography. This analysis reveals that 4(CF3SO3)4, 6(CF3SO3)4, and 8(ClO4)4 consist of self-assembled molecular boxes containing two macrocyclic dicopper complexes, bridged by CO32- ligands. The bridging mode of the carbonate ligand is anti-anti-mu-eta1:eta1 in 4(CF3SO3)4, anti-anti-mu-eta2:eta1 in 6(CF3SO3)4 and anti-anti-mu-eta2:eta2 in 5(CF3SO3)2 and 8(ClO4)4. Magnetic susceptibility measurements on 4(CF3SO3)4, 6(CF3SO3)4, and 8(ClO4)4 indicate that the carbonate ligands mediate antiferromagnetic coupling between each pair of bridged CuII ions (J = -23.1, -108.3, and -163.4 cm-1, respectively, H = -JS1S2). Detailed kinetic analyses of the reaction between carbon dioxide and the macrocyclic complexes 1(CF3SO3)2 and 2(CF3SO3)2 suggest that it is actually hydrogen carbonate formed in aqueous solution on dissolving CO2 that is responsible for the observed formation of the different carbonate complexes controlled by the binding mode of the hydroxy ligands. This study shows that CO2 fixation can be used as an on/off switch for the reversible self-assembly of supramolecular structures based on macrocyclic dicopper complexes.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of the complexes of Cu(I), Ag(I), Cu(II), and Co(II) ions with 1,2,5-selenadiazolopyridine (psd) is reported. The following complexes have been prepared: [Cu(2)(psd)(3)(CH(3)CN)(2)](2+)2(PF(6)(-)); [(CuCl)(2)(psd)(3)]; [Cu(2)(psd)(6)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-); [Ag(2)(psd)(2)](2+)2(NO(3))(-); [Ag(2)(psd)(2)](2+)2(CF(3)COO)(-); [Cu(psd)(2)(H(2)O)(3)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-)·(psd)(2); [Cu(psd)(4)(H(2)O)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-)·(CHCl(3)); [Cu(psd)(2)(H(2)O)(3)](2+)2(NO(3))(-)·(H(2)O)·(psd)(2), and [Co(psd)(2)(H(2)O)(4)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-)·(psd)(2). The electronic structure of ligand psd, in particular the bond order of Se-N bonds, has been probed by X-ray diffraction, (77)Se NMR, and computational studies. A detailed analysis of the crystal structures of the ligand and the complexes revealed interesting supramolecular assembly. The assembly was further facilitated by the presence of neutral ligands for some complexes (Cu(II) and Co(II)). The molecular structure of the ligand showed that it was present as a dimer in the solid state where the monomers were linked by strong secondary bonding Se···N interactions. The crystal structures of Cu(I) and Ag(I) complexes revealed the dinuclear nature with characteristic metallophilic interactions [M···M] (M = Cu, Ag), while the Cu(II) and Co(II) complexes were mononuclear. The presence of M···M interactions has been further probed by Atoms in Molecules (AIM) calculations. The paramagnetic Cu(II) and Co(II) complexes have been characterized by UV-vis, ESI spectroscopy, and room temperature magnetic measurements.  相似文献

The coordination properties of the EN ligands N-(2-pyridinyl)amino-diphenylphosphine sulfide, N-(2-pyridinyl)amino-diisopropylphosphine sulfide, N-(2-pyridinyl)amino-diphenylphosphine selenide, N-(2-pyridinyl)amino-diisopropylphosphine selenide towards copper(I) precursors CuX (X = Br, I), [Cu(IPr)Cl] (IPr = 1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene), and [Cu(CH(3)CN)(4)]PF(6) were studied. Treatment of CuX with EN ligands resulted in the formation of tricoordinate complexes of the type [Cu(κ(2)(E,N)-EN)X]. The reaction of [Cu(IPr)Cl] with EN ligands, followed by halide abstraction with AgSbF(6), afforded cationic tricoordinate complexes [Cu(κ(2)(S,N)-EN)(IPr)](+), while the reaction of [Cu(CH(3)CN)(4)](+) with two equivalents of EN ligands yielded tetrahedral complexes [Cu(κ(2)(E,N)-EN)(2)](+). Halide removal from [Cu(κ(2)(S,N)-SN)I] with silver salts in the presence of L = CH(3)CN and CNtBu afforded dinuclear complexes of the type [Cu(κ(2)(S,N),μ(S)-SN)(L)](2)(2+) containing bridging SN ligands. With the terminal alkynes HC≡CC(6)H(4)Me and HC≡CC(6)H(4)OMe, complexes of the formula [Cu(κ(2)(S,N)-SN-iPr)(η(2)-HC≡CC(6)H(4)Me)](+) and [Cu(κ(2)(S,N)-SN-iPr)(η(2)-HC≡CC(6)H(4)OMe)](+) were obtained. The mononuclear nature of these compounds was supported by DFT calculations. Most complexes were also characterized by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

The preparation of three new octadentate tetranucleating ligands made out of two Ru-Hbpp-based units [where Hbpp is 3,5(bispyridyl)pyrazole], linked by a xylyl group attached at the pyrazolate moiety, of general formula (Hbpp)(2)-u-xyl (u = p, m, or o) is reported, together with its dinucleating counterpart substituted at the same position with a benzyl group, Hbpp-bz. All of these ligands have been characterized with the usual analytical and spectroscopic techniques. The corresponding tetranuclear ruthenium complexes of general formula {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(L)](2)(μ-(bpp)(2)-u-xyl)}(n+) [L = Cl or OAc, n = 4; L = (H(2)O)(2), n = 6] and their dinuclear homologues {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(L)](μ-bpp-bz)}(n+) [L = Cl or OAc, n = 2; L = (H(2)O)(2), n = 3] have also been prepared and thoroughly characterized both in solution and in the solid state. In solution, all of the complexes have been characterized spectroscopically by UV-vis and NMR and their redox properties investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry techniques. In the solid state, monocrystal X-ray diffraction analysis has been carried out for two dinuclear complexes {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(L)](μ-bpp-bz)}(2+) (L = Cl and OAc) and for the tetranuclear complex {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(μ-OAc)](2)(μ-(bpp)(2)-m-xyl)}(4+). The capacity of the tetranuclear aqua complexes {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2)(μ-(bpp)(2)-u-xyl)}(6+) and the dinuclear homologue {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](μ-bpp-bz)}(3+) to act as water-oxidation catalysts has been evaluated using cerium(IV) as the chemical oxidant in pH = 1.0 triflic acid solutions. It is found that these complexes, besides generating significant amounts of dioxygen, also generate carbon dioxide. The relative ratio of [O(2)]/[CO(2)] is dependent not only on para, meta, or ortho substitution of the xylylic group but also on the concentration of the starting materials. With regard to the tetranuclear complexes, the one that contains the more sterically constrained ortho-substituted ligand generates the highest [O(2)]/[CO(2)] ratio.  相似文献

The synthesis, characterization, and water oxidation activity of mononuclear ruthenium complexes with tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (TPA), tris(6-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl)amine (Me(3)TPA), and a new pentadentate ligand N,N-bis(2-pyridinylmethyl)-2,2'-bipyridine-6-methanamine (DPA-Bpy) have been described. The electrochemical properties of these mononuclear Ru complexes have been investigated by both experimental and computational methods. Using Ce(IV) as oxidant, stoichiometric oxidation of water by [Ru(TPA)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) was observed, while Ru(Me(3)TPA)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) has much less activity for water oxidation. Compared to [Ru(TPA)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) and [Ru(Me(3)TPA)(H(2)O)(2)](2+), [Ru(DPA-Bpy)(H(2)O)](2+) exhibited 20 times higher activity for water oxidation. This study demonstrates a new type of ligand scaffold to support water oxidation by mononuclear Ru complexes.  相似文献

A series of ferrous complexes with the pentadentate ligand 2,6-(bis-(bis-2-pyridyl)methoxymethane)pyridine (PY5) was prepared and examined. PY5 binds ferrous iron in a square-pyramidal geometry, leaving a single coordination site accessible for complexation of a wide range of monodentate exogenous ligands: [Fe(II)(PY5)(X)](n+), X = MeOH, H(2)O, MeCN, pyridine, Cl-, OBz-, N(3)-, MeO-, PhO-, and CN-. The spin-states of these ferrous complexes are extremely sensitive to the nature of the single exogenous ligand; the spectroscopic and structural properties correlate with their high-spin (hs) or low-spin (ls) electronic ground state. Systematic metrical trends within six crystallographic structures clearly indicate a preferred conformational binding mode of the PY5 ligand. The relative binding affinities of the exogenous ligands in MeOH indicate that exogenous ligand charge is the primary determinant of the binding affinity; the [Fe(II)(PY5)](2+) unit preferentially binds anionic ligands over neutral ligands. At parity of charge, strong-field ligands are preferentially bound over weak-field ligands. In MeOH, the pK(a) of the exogenously ligated MeOH in [Fe(PY5)(MeOH)](2+) (9.1) limits the scope of exogenous ligands, as strongly basic ligands preferentially deprotonate [Fe(PY5)(MeOH)](2+) to yield [Fe(PY5)(OMe)](1+) rather than ligate to the ferrous center. Exogenous ligation by a strongly basic ligand, however, can be achieved in polar aprotic solvents.  相似文献

In this contribution, we focus to the currently unknown [Pb(CO)(n)](2+) model series (n=1 to 10), a set of compounds which allows us to investigate in-depth the holo- and hemidirectional character that lead complexes can exhibit. By means of DFT computations performed using either relativistic four-component formalisms coupled to all-electron basis sets for [Pb(CO)](2+), [Pb(OC)](2+) and [Pb(CO)(2)](2+), or scalar relativistic pseudopotentials for higher n values, the structure and the energetics of these species are investigated. The results are complemented by Constrained Space Orbital Variations (CSOV) and Electron Localization Function (ELF) comprehensive analyses in order to get better insights into the poorly documented chemical fundamentals of the Pb(2+) cation. Whereas the discrimination between holo- and hemidirected structures is usually done according to the geometry, we here provide a quantitative indicator grounded on (V(Pb)), the mean charge density of the valence monosynaptic V(Pb) ELFic basin associated to the metal cation. Free-enthalpy relying discussions show, moreover, that those gas-phase complexes having n=7, 8 or 9 may be experimentally instable and should dissociate into [Pb(CO)(6)](2+) and a number of CO ligands. According to second-order differences in energy, it is anticipated that the n=3 or 6 structures should be the most probable structures in the gas phase. Gathering all data from the present theoretical study allows us to propose some concepts that the versatile structural chemistry of Pb(2+) complexes could rely on.  相似文献

The preparation and characterization of three new macrocyclic ligands with pendant arms based on the [2+2] condensation of isophthalaldehyde and the corresponding triamine substituted at the central N-atom is reported. None of these new macrocyclic ligands undergo any equilibrium reaction, based on imine hydrolysis to generate [1+1] macrocyclic formation or higher oligomeric compounds, such as [3+3], [4+4], etc., at least within the time scale of days. This indicates the stability of the newly generated imine bond. In sharp contrast, the reaction of the [2+2] macrocyclic Schiff bases with Cu(I) generates the corresponding dinuclear Cu(I) complexes [Cu(2)(L(1))](2+), 1(2+); [Cu(2)(L(2))(CH(3)CN)(2)](2+), 2(2+); and [Cu(2)(L(3))(CH(3)CN)(2)](2+), 3(2+), together with their trinuclear Cu(I) homologues [Cu(3)(L(4))](3+), 4(3+); [Cu(3)(L(5))(CH(3)CN)(3)](3+), 5(3+); and [Cu(3)(L(6))(CH(3)CN)(3)](3+), 6(3+), where the [2+2] ligand has undergone an expansion to the corresponding [3+3] Schiff base that is denoted as L(4), L(5), or L(6). The conditions under which the dinuclear and trinuclear complexes are formed were analyzed in terms of solvent dependence and synthetic pathways. The new complexes are characterized in solution by NMR, UV-vis, and MS spectroscopy and in the solid state by X-ray diffraction analysis and IR spectroscopy. For the particular case of the L(2) ligand, MS spectroscopy is also used to monitor the metal assisted transformation where the dinuclear complex 2(2+) is transformed into the trinuclear complex 5(3+). The Cu(I) complexes described here, in general, react slowly (within the time scale of days) with molecular oxygen, except for the ones containing the phenolic ligands 2(2+) and 5(3+) that react a bit faster.  相似文献

Photochemical ligand substitution of fac-[Re(X2bpy)(CO)3(PR3)]+ (X2bpy = 4,4'-X2-2,2'-bipyridine; X = Me, H, CF3; R = OEt, Ph) with acetonitrile quantitatively gave a new class of biscarbonyl complexes, cis,trans[Re(X2bpy)(CO)2(PR3)(MeCN)]+, coordinated with four different kinds of ligands. Similarly, other biscarbonylrhenium complexes, cis,trans-[Re(X2bpy)(CO)2(PR3)(Y)]n+ (n = 0, Y = Cl-; n = 1, Y = pyridine, PR'3), were synthesized in good yields via photochemical ligand substitution reactions. The structure of cis,trans-[Re(Me2bpy)(CO)2[P(OEt)3](PPh3)](PF6) was determined by X-ray analysis. Crystal data: C38H42N2O5F6P3Re, monoclinic, P2(1/a), a = 11.592(1) A, b = 30.953(4) A, c = 11.799(2) A, V = 4221.6(1) A3, Z = 4, 7813 reflections, R = 0.066. The biscarbonyl complexes with two phosphorus ligands were strongly emissive from their 3MLCT state with lifetimes of 20-640 ns in fluid solutions at room temperature. Only weak or no emission was observed in the cases Y = Cl-, MeCN, and pyridine. Electrochemical reduction of the biscarbonyl complexes with Y = Cl- and pyridine in MeCN resulted in efficient ligand substitution to give the solvento complexes cis,trans-[Re(X2bpy)(CO)2(PR3)(MeCN)]+.  相似文献

Air-stable rhenium(V) oxo complexes are formed when [ReOCl(3)(PPh(3))(2)] is treated with N-heterocyclic carbenes of the 1,3-dialkyl-4,5-dimethylimidazol-2-ylidene type, L(R) (R = Me, Et, i-Pr). Complexes of the compositions [ReO(2)(L(R))(4)](+), [ReOCl(L(R))(4)](2+), or [ReO(OMe)(L(R))(4)](2+) can be isolated depending on the alkyl substituents at the nitrogen atoms of the ligands and the reaction conditions applied. Despite the steric overcrowding of the equatorial coordination spheres of the metal atoms by each of the four carbene ligands, stable complexes with six-coordinate rhenium atoms are obtained. Steric demands of the alkyl groups allow control of the stability of the mono-oxo intermediates. Air-stable cationic complexes of the compositions [ReOCl(L(Me))(4)](2+), [ReOCl(L(Et))(4)](2+), and [ReO(OMe)(L(Me))(4)](2+) have been isolated, whereas reactions of [ReOCl(3)(PPh(3))(2)] or other rhenium(V) precursors with the more bulky 1,3-diisopropyl-4,5-dimethylimidazol-2-ylidene (L(i)(-)(Pr)) directly yield the dioxo complex [ReO(2)(L(i)(-)(Pr))(4)](+). X-ray structures of [ReO(2)(L(i)(-)(Pr))(4)][ReO(4)], [ReO(2)(L(i)(-)(Pr))(4)][PF(6)], [ReO(2)(L(Me))(4)][ReO(4)](0.45)[PF(6)](0.55), [ReO(MeOH)(L(Me))(4)][PF(6)](2), and [ReOCl(L(Et))(4)][PF(6)](2) show that the equatorial coordination spheres of the rhenium atoms are essentially planar irrespective of the steric demands of the individual carbene ligands.  相似文献

We have discovered a series of novel pentacarbonylchromium derivatives of bismuth from the reactions of NaBiO(3) with [Cr(CO)(6)] in KOH/MeOH solutions. When the reaction was carried out at room temperature, the highly charged [Bi[Cr(CO)(5)](4)](3-) (1) was obtained, whose structure was shown by X-ray analysis to possess a central bismuth atom tetrahedrally coordinated to four [Cr(CO)(5)] groups. As the reaction was heated at 80 degrees C, the methyl-substituted complex [MeBi[Cr(CO)(5)](3)](2-)(2) was obtained, presumably via the CbondO activation of MeOH. Further reactions of 1 with CH(2)Cl(2) or CHtbondCCH(2)Br form the halo-substituted complexes [XBi[Cr(CO)(5)](3)](2-)(X=Cl, 3; Br, 4), respectively. On the other hand, the reactions of 1 with RI (R=Me, Et) led to the formation of the alkyl-substituted complexes [RBi[Cr(CO)(5)](3)](2-)(R=Me, 2; Et). The formation of complexes 1-4 is discussed, presumably via the intermediate bismuthinidene [Bi[Cr(CO)(5)](3)](-) or the trianion [Bi[Cr(CO)(5)](3)](3-).  相似文献

A new method for assessing the topology of metallosupramolecular assemblies using pyrene-appended ligands is reported. Two potentially tetradentate ligands containing one (L(1)) and two (L(2)) terminal pyrene moieties were synthesised and their complexes with Cu(+) and Cd(2+) were characterised. Photophysical measurements demonstrate that in [Cu(2)(L(1))(2)](2+), [CdL(1)](2+) and [Cu(2)(L(2))(2)](2+) the emission spectra are dominated by monomeric emission but in the cadmium complex of L(2) (where the pyrene units are in close proximity) a quenching of the luminescence coupled with weak emission at 540 nm is indicative of excimer formation.  相似文献

Kinetic studies of the reactions of [M(CO)(L-L)I] [M = Rh, Ir; L-L = Ph(2)PCH(2)P(S)Ph(2) (dppms), Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PPh(2) (dppe), and Ph(2)PCH(2)P(O)Ph(2) (dppmo)] with methyl iodide have been undertaken. All the chelate ligands promote oxidative addition of methyl iodide to the square planar M(I) centers, by factors of between 30 and 50 compared to the respective [M(CO)(2)I(2)](-) complexes, due to their good donor properties. Migratory CO insertion in [Rh(CO)(L-L)I(2)Me] leads to acetyl complexes [Rh(L-L)I(2)(COMe)] for which X-ray crystal structures were obtained for L-L = dppms (3a) and dppe (3b). Against the expectations of simple bonding arguments, methyl migration is faster by a factor of ca. 1500 for [Rh(CO)(dppms)I(2)Me] (2a) than for [Rh(CO)(dppe)I(2)Me] (2b). For M = Ir, alkyl iodide oxidative addition gives stable alkyl complexes [Ir(CO)(L-L)I(2)R]. Migratory insertion (induced at high temperature by CO pressure) was faster for [Ir(CO)(dppms)I(2)Me] (5a) than for its dppe analogue (5b). Reaction of methyl triflate with [Ir(CO)(dppms)I] (4a) yielded the dimer [[Ir(CO)(dppms)(mu-I)Me](2)](2+) (7), which was characterized crystallographically along with 5a and [Ir(CO)(dppms)I(2)Et] (6). Analysis of the X-ray crystal structures showed that the dppms ligand adopts a conformation which creates a sterically crowded pocket around the alkyl ligands of 5a, 6, and 7. It is proposed that this steric strain can be relieved by migratory insertion, to give a five-coordinate acetyl product in which the sterically crowded quadrants flank a vacant coordination site, exemplified by the crystal structure of 3a. Conformational analysis indicates similarity between M(dppms) and M(2)(mu-dppm) chelate structures, which have less flexibility than M(dppe) systems and therefore generate greater steric strain with the "axial" ligands in octahedral complexes. Ab initio calculations suggest an additional electronic contribution to the migratory insertion barrier, whereby a sulfur atom trans to CO stabilizes the transition state compared to systems with phosphorus trans to CO. The results represent a rare example of the quantification of ligand effects on individual steps from catalytic cycles, and are discussed in the context of catalytic methanol carbonylation. Implications for other catalytic reactions utilizing chelating diphosphines (e.g., CO/alkene copolymerization and alkene hydroformylation) are considered.  相似文献

The previously ill-characterized [H(x)Rh(22)(CO)(35)](4-/5-) carbonyl cluster has been obtained as a byproduct of the synthesis of [H(3)Rh(13)(CO)(24)](2-) and effectively separated by metathesis of their sodium salts with [NEt(4)]Cl. Although the yields are modest and never exceed 10-15% (based on Rh), this procedure affords spectroscopically pure [H(3)Rh(22)(CO)(35)](5-) anion. Formation of the latter in mixture with other Rh clusters was also observed by electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) in the oxidation of [H(2)Rh(13)(CO)(24)](3-) with Cu(2+) salts. The recovery of further amounts of [H(3)Rh(22)(CO)(35)](5-) was hampered by too similar solubility of the salts composing the mixture. Conversely, the reaction in CH(3)CN of [H(2)Rh(13)(CO)(24)](3-) with [Cu(MeCN)(4)](+)[BF(4)](-) leads to the [H(2)Rh(13)(CO)(24){Cu(MeCN)}(2)](-) bimetallic cluster. The X-ray crystal structures of [H(4)Rh(22)(CO)(35)](4-), [H(3)Rh(22)(CO)(35)](5-), and [H(2)Rh(13)(CO)(24){Cu(MeCN)}(2)](-) are reported. From a formal point of view, the metal frame of the former two species can be derived by interpenetration along two orthogonal axes of two moieties displaying the structure of the latter. The availability of [H(8-n)Rh(22)(CO)(35)](n-) salts prompted their detailed chemical, spectroscopic, and electrochemical characterization. The presence of hydride atoms has been directly proved both by ESI-MS and (1)H NMR. Moreover, both [H(4)Rh(22)(CO)(35)](4-) and [H(3)Rh(22)(CO)(35)](5-) undergo distinctive electrochemically reversible redox changes. This allows to assess electrochemical studies as indisputable though circumstantial evidence of the presence of (1)H NMR-silent hydride atoms in isostructural anions of different charge.  相似文献

Two water soluble Re(i) tricarbonyl diimine complexes containing cationic 2,2'-bipyridyl ligands [Re(L1)(CO)(3)(AN)](2+) (1) and [Re(L2)(CO)(3)(AN)](3+) (2) (L1 and L2: a cationic 2,2'-bipyridyl ligand, AN: acetonitrile) were synthesized and characterized. Their photophysical, electrochemical and electrochemiluminescent properties were investigated. The crystal structures of the two complexes have also been determined. Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) of the two complexes 1 and 2 have been studied in aqueous buffer solution in the presence of co-reactant tri-n-propylamine (TPrA) or 2-(dibutylamino)ethanol (DBAE) at a Au working electrode. The ECL behavior of the complexes was also studied in the presence of several surfactants such as Triton X-100 and Zonyl FSN. The ECL signals of the rhenium(i) complex were enhanced about 190-fold and 70-fold at a Au electrode in the presence of Triton X-100 for the [Re(L1)(CO)(3)(AN)](2+)/TPrA and [Re(L1)(CO)(3)(AN)](2+)/DBAE systems, respectively.  相似文献

Dinucleating ligands having two metal-binding sites bridged by an imidazolate moiety, Hbdpi, HMe(2)bdpi, and HMe(4)bdpi (Hbdpi = 4,5-bis(di(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl)imidazole, HMe(2)bdpi = 4,5-bis((6-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl)(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl)imidazole, HMe(4)bdpi = 4,5-bis(di(6-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl)imidazole), have been designed and synthesized as model ligands for copper-zinc superoxide dismutase (Cu,Zn-SOD). The corresponding mononucleating ligands, MeIm(Py)(2), MeIm(Me)(1), and MeIm(Me)(2) (MeIm(Py)(2) = (1-methyl-4-imidazolylmethyl)bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, MeIm(Me)(1) = (1-methyl-4-imidazolylmethyl)(6-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl)(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, MeIm(Me)(2) = (1-methyl-4-imidazolyl-methyl)bis(6-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl)amine), have also been synthesized for comparison. The imidazolate-bridged Cu(II)-Cu(II) homodinuclear complexes represented as [Cu(2)(bdpi)(CH(3)CN)(2)](ClO(4))(3).CH(3)CN.3H(2)O (1), [Cu(2)(Me(2)bdpi)(CH(3)CN)(2)](ClO(4))(3) (2), [Cu(2)(Me(4)bdpi)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(3).4H(2)O (3), a Cu(II)-Zn(II) heterodinuclear complex of the type of [CuZn(bdpi)(CH(3)CN)(2)](ClO(4))(3).2CH(3)CN (4), Cu(II) mononuclear complexes of [Cu(MeIm(Py)(2))(CH(3)CN)](ClO(4))(2).CH(3)CN (5), [Cu(MeIm(Me)(1))(CH(3)CN)](ClO(4))(2)( )()(6), and [Cu(MeIm(Me)(2))(CH(3)CN)](ClO(4))(2)( )()(7) have been synthesized and the structures of complexes 5-7 determined by X-ray crystallography. The complexes 1-7 have a pentacoordinate structure at each metal ion with the imidazolate or 1-methylimidazole nitrogen, two pyridine nitrogens, the tertiary amine nitrogen, and a solvent (CH(3)CN or H(2)O) which can be readily replaced by a substrate. The reactions between complexes 1-7 and hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)) in the presence of a base at -80 degrees C yield green solutions which exhibit intense bands at 360-380 nm, consistent with the generation of hydroperoxo Cu(II) species in all cases. The resonance Raman spectra of all hydroperoxo intermediates at -80 degrees C exhibit a strong resonance-enhanced Raman band at 834-851 cm(-1), which shifts to 788-803 cm(-1) (Deltanu = 46 cm(-1)) when (18)O-labeled H(2)O(2) was used, which are assigned to the O-O stretching frequency of a hydroperoxo ion. The resonance Raman spectra of hydroperoxo adducts of complexes 2 and 6 show two Raman bands at 848 (802) and 834 (788), 851 (805), and 835 (789) cm(-1) (in the case of H(2)(18)O(2), Deltanu = 46 cm(-1)), respectively. The ESR spectra of all hydroperoxo complexes are quite close to those of the parent Cu(II) complexes except 6. The spectrum of 6 exhibits a mixture signal of trigonal-bipyramid and square-pyramid which is consistent with the results of resonance Raman spectrum.  相似文献

A series of copper(II) complexes with substituted phenanthroline ligands has been synthesized and characterized electronically and structurally. The compounds that have been prepared include the monosubstituted ligand complexes of the general formula [Cu(5-R-phen)(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2), where R = NO(2), Cl, H, or Me, and the disubstituted ligand complex [Cu(5,6-Me(2)-phen)(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2). The complexes [Cu(5-NO(2)-phen)(2)(CH(3)CN](BF(4))(2) (1), [Cu(5-Cl-phen)(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) (2), [Cu(o-phen)(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) (3), and [Cu(5-Me-phen)(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) (4) each crystallize in the space group C2/c with compounds 1, 2, and 4 comprising an isomorphous set. The disubstituted complex [Cu(5,6-Me(2)-phen)(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) (5) crystallizes in the space group P2(1)/c. Each structure is characterized by a distorted trigonal bipyramidal arrangement of ligands around the central copper atom with approximate or exact C(2) symmetry. The progression from electron-withdrawing to electron-donating substituents on the phenanthroline ligands correlates with less accessible reduction potentials for the bis-chelate complexes.  相似文献

A novel, and quite general, approach for the preparation of tris(heteroleptic) ruthenium(II) complexes is reported. Using this method, which is based on photosubstitution of carbonyl ligands in precursors such as [Ru(bpy)(CO)(2)Cl(2)] and [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(CO)(2)](PF(6))(2), mononuclear and dinuclear Ru(II) tris(heteroleptic) polypyridyl complexes containing the bridging ligands 3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (Hbpt) and 3,5-bis(pyrazin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (Hbpzt) have been prepared. The complexes obtained were purified by column chromatography and characterized by HPLC, mass spectrometry, 1H NMR, absorption and emission spectroscopy and by electrochemical methods. The X-ray structures of the compounds [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(bpt)](PF(6))x0.5C(4)H(10)O [1x0.5C(4)H(10)O], [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(bpzt)](PF(6))xH(2)O (2xH(2)O) and [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(CH(3)CN)(2)](PF(6))(2)xC(4)H(10)O (6xC(4)H(10)O) are reported. The synthesis and characterisation of the dinuclear analogues of 1 and 2, [{Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)}(2)bpt](PF(6))(3)x2H(2)O (3) and [{Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)}(2)bpzt](PF(6))(3) (4), are also described.  相似文献

The reaction of [M(CN)(6)](3-) (M = Cr(3+), Mn(3+), Fe(3+), Co(3+)) and [M(CN)(8)](4-/3-) (M = Mo(4+/5+), W(4+/5+)) with the trinuclear copper(II) complex of 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyltris[3-(1,3,5,8,12-pentaazacyclotetradecane)] ([Cu(3)(L)](6+)) leads to partially encapsulated cyanometalates. With hexacyanometalate(III) complexes, [Cu(3)(L)](6+) forms the isostructural host-guest complexes [[[Cu(3)(L)(OH(2))(2)][M(CN)(6)](2)][M(CN)(6)]][M(CN)(6)]30 H(2)O with one bridging, two partially encapsulated, and one isolated [M(CN)(6)](3-) unit. The octacyanometalates of Mo(4+/5+) and W(4+/5+) are encapsulated by two tris-macrocyclic host units. Due to the stability of the +IV oxidation state of Mo and W, only assemblies with [M(CN)(8)](4-) were obtained. The Mo(4+) and W(4+) complexes were crystallized in two different structural forms: [[Cu(3)(L)(OH(2))](2)[Mo(CN)(8)]](NO(3))(8)15 H(2)O with a structural motif that involves isolated spherical [[Cu(3)(L)(OH(2))](2)[M(CN)(8)]](8+) ions and a "string-of-pearls" type of structure [[[Cu(3)(L)](2)[M(CN)(8)]][M(CN)(8)]](NO(3))(4) 20 H(2)O, with [M(CN)(8)](4-) ions that bridge the encapsulated octacyanometalates in a two-dimensional network. The magnetic exchange coupling between the various paramagnetic centers is characterized by temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility and field-dependent magnetization data. Exchange between the CuCu pairs in the [Cu(3)(L)](6+) "ligand" is weakly antiferromagnetic. Ferromagnetic interactions are observed in the cyanometalate assemblies with Cr(3+), exchange coupling of Mn(3+) and Fe(3+) is very small, and the octacoordinate Mo(4+) and W(4+) systems have a closed-shell ground state.  相似文献
