This report covers studies in trivalent lanthanide complexation by two simple cyclohexanetriols that are models of the two coordination sites found in sugars and derivatives. Several complexes of trivalent lanthanide ions with cis,cis-1,3,5-trihydroxycyclohexane (L(1)()) and cis,cis-1,2,3-trihydroxycyclohexane (L(2)()) have been characterized in the solid state, and some of them have been studied in organic solutions. With L(1)(), Ln(L)(2) complexes are obtained when crystallization is performed from acetonitrile solutions whatever the nature of the salt (nitrate or triflate) [Ln(L(1)())(2)(NO(3))(2)](NO(3)) (Ln = Pr, Nd); [Ln(L(1)())(2)(NO(3))H(2)O](NO(3))(2) (Ln = Eu, Ho, Yb); [Ln(L(1)())(2)(OTf)(2)(H(2)O)](OTf) (Ln = Nd, Eu). Lanthanum nitrate itself gives a mixed complex [La(L(1)())(2)(NO(3))(2)][LaL(1)()(NO(3))(4)] from acetonitrile solution while [La(L(1)())(2)(NO(3))(2)](NO(3)) is obtained using dimethoxyethane as reaction solvent and crystallization medium. With L(2)(), Ln(L)(2) complexes have also been crystallized from methanol solution [Ln(L(2)())(2)(NO(3))(2)]NO(3), (Ln = Pr, Nd, Eu). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses are reported for these complexes. Complex formation in solution has been studied for several triflate salts (La, Pr, Nd, Eu, and Yb) with L(1 )()and L(2)(), respectively in acetonitrile and in methanol. In contrast to the solid state, both structures Ln(L) and Ln(L)(2) equilibrate in solution, as was demonstrated by low-temperature (1)H NMR and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry experiments. Competing experiments in complexing abilities of L(1)() and L(2)() with trivalent lanthanide cations have shown that only L(2)() exhibits a small selectivity (Nd > Pr > Yb > La > Eu) in methanol.  相似文献

Three organic-inorganic hybrid copper-lanthanide heterometallic germanotungstates, {[Cu(en)(2)(H(2)O)] [Cu(3)Eu(en)(3)(OH)(3)(H(2)O)(2)](α-GeW(11)O(39))}(2)·11H(2)O (1), {[Cu(en)(2)(H(2)O)][Cu(3)Tb(en)(3)(OH)(3)(H(2)O)(2)](α-GeW(11)O(39))}(2)·11H(2)O (2) and {[Cu(en)(2)(H(2)O)][Cu(3)Dy(en)(3)(OH)(3)(H(2)O)(2)](α-GeW(11)O(39))}(2)·10H(2)O (3) and three polyoxometalate hybrids built by lanthanide-containing germanotungstates and copper-ethylendiamine complexes, Na(2)H(6)[Cu(en)(2)(H(2)O)](8){Cu(en)(2)[La(α-GeW(11)O(39))(2)](2)}·18H(2)O (4), K(4)H(2)[Cu(en)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](5)[Cu(en)(2)(H(2)O)](2)[Cu(en)(2)](2){Cu(en)(2)[Pr(α-GeW(11)O(39))(2)](2)}·16H(2)O (5) and KNa(2)H(7)[enH(2)](3)[Cu(en)(2)(H(2)O)](2)[Cu(en)(2)](2){Cu(en)(2)[Er(α-GeW(11)O(39))(2)](2)}·15H(2)O (6) (en = ethylenediamine) have been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analyses, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) analyses, IR spectra, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 1-3 are essentially isomorphous and their main skeletons display the interesting dimeric motif {[Cu(3)Ln(en)(3)(OH)(3)(H(2)O)(2)](α-GeW(11)O(39))}(2)(4-), which is constructed from two {Cu(3)LnO(4)} cubane anchored monovacant [α-GeW(11)O(39)](8-) fragments through two W-O-Ln-O-W linkers. The primary backbones of 4-6 exhibit the tetrameric architecture {Cu(en)(2)[Ln(α-GeW(11)O(39))(2)](2)}(24-) built by two 1?:?2-type [Ln(α-GeW(11)O(39))(2)](13-) moieties and one [Cu(en)(2)](2+) bridge, albeit they are not isostructural. To our knowledge, 1-6 are rare polyoxometalate derivatives consisting of copper-lanthanide heterometallic/lanthanide germanotungstate fragments. 1 exhibits antiferromagnetic coupling interactions within the {Cu(3)EuO(4)} cubane units, while 2 and 3 display dominant ferromagnetic interactions between the Tb(III)/Dy(III) and Cu(II) cations. The room-temperature solid-state photoluminescence properties of 1-3 have been investigated.  相似文献

Lanthanide nitrate complexes with the heptadentate ligand L (6-[2-(2-(diethylamino)-2-oxoethoxy)ethyl]-N,N,12-triethyl-11-oxo-3,9-dioxa-6,12-diazatetradecanamide), [Ln(2)L(NO(3))(6)] (Ln = La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Ho), have been prepared and characterized. The X-ray crystallographic studies show that, in [La(2)L(NO(3))(6)(H(2)O)].H(2)O (1), two complex cations [LaL(H(2)O)](3+) are linked by a hexanitrato anion [La(NO(3))(6)](3)(-) and form a trinuclear cation. In [Nd(2)L(NO(3))(6)(H(2)O)].CHCl(3).1/2CH(3)OH.1/2H(2)O (2), one complex cation [NdL(H(2)O)](3+) and a hexanitrato complex anion [Nd(NO(3))(6)](3)(-) are linked by a bridging NO(3)(-) to form a dinuclear complex. In both complexes, the bridging nitrate is an unusual tetradentate ligand. The metal ions are 12-coordinated in hexanitrato anions and 10-coordinated in complex cations. The chainlike supramolecular structures of La(3+) complex are parallel and have no hydrogen bonds in between, while, in the Nd(3+) complex, a chiral cavity is formed by hydrogen bonds between two adjacent supramolecular chains. These influences are further investigated by assessing the separation efficiency of L and (1)H NMR spectra of its lanthanide nitrate mixtures in solution.  相似文献

A series of 3-D lanthanide porous coordination polymers, [Ln(6)(BDC)(9)(DMF)(6)(H(2)O)(3)·3DMF](n) [Ln = La, 1; Ce, 2; Nd, 3], [Ln(2)(BDC)(3)(DMF)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](n) [Ln = Y, 4; Dy, 5; Eu, 6], [Ln(2)(ADB)(3)(DMSO)(4)·6DMSO·8H(2)O](n) [Ln = Ce, 7; Sm, 8; Eu, 9; Gd, 10], {[Ce(3)(ADB)(3)(HADB)(3)]·30DMSO·29H(2)O}(n) (11), and [Ce(2)(ADB)(3)(H(2)O)(3)](n) (12) (H(2)BDC = benzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid and H(2)ADB = 4,4'-azodibenzoic acid), have been synthesized and characterized. In 1-3, the adjacent Ln(III) ions are intraconnected to form 1-D metal-carboxylate oxygen chain-shaped building units, [Ln(4)(CO(2))(12)](n), that constructed a 3-D framework with 4 × 7 ? rhombic channels. In 4-6, the dimeric Ln(III) ions are interlinked to yield scaffolds with 3-D interconnecting tunnels. Compounds 7-10 are all 3-D interpenetrating structures with the CaB6-type topology structure. Compound 11 is constructed by ADB spacers and trinulcear Ce nodes with a NaCl-type topology structure and a 1.9-nm open channel system. In 12, the adjacent Ce(III) ions are intraconnected to form 1-D metal-carboxylate oxygen chain-shaped building units, [Ln(4)(CO(2))(12)](n), and give rise to a 3-D framework. Moreover, 6 exhibits characteristic red luminescence properties of Eu(III) complexes. The magnetic susceptibilities, over a temperature range of 1.8-300 K, of 3, 6, and 7 have also been investigated; the results show paramagnetic properties.  相似文献

The monoamido lanthanide complexes stabilized by Schiff base ligand L(2)LnN(TMS)(2) (L = 3,5-Bu(t)(2)-2-(O)-C(6)H(2)CH═N-8-C(9)H(6)N, Ln = Yb (1), Y (2), Eu (3), Nd (4), and La (5)) were synthesized in good yields by the reactions of Ln[N(TMS)(2)](3) with 1.8 equiv of HL in hexane at room temperature. It was found that the stability of 1-5 depends greatly on the size of the lanthanide metals with the increasing trend of Yb ≈ Y < Nd < La. The amine elimination of Ln[N(TMS)(2)](3) with the bulky bidentate Schiff base HL' (L' = 3,5-Bu(t)(2)-2-(O)-C(6)H(2)CH═N-2,6-Pr(i)(2)-C(6)H(3)) afforded the monoamido lanthanide complexes L'(2)LnN(TMS)(2) (Ln = Yb (9), Y (10), Nd (11), and La (12)). While the amine elimination with the less bulky Schiff base HL' (L' = 3,5-Bu(t)(2)-2-(O)-C(6)H(2)CH═N-2,6-Me(2)-C(6)H(3)) yielded the desired monoamido complexes with the small metals of Y and Yb, L'(2)LnN(TMS)(2) (Ln = Yb (13) and Y (14)), and the more stable tris-Schiff base complexes with the large metals of La and Nd, yielded L'(3)Ln as the only product. Complexes 1-14 were fully characterized including X-ray crystal structural analysis. Complexes 1-5, 10, and 14 can serve as the efficient catalysts for addition of amines to carbodiimides, and the catalytic activity is greatly affected by the lanthanide metals with the active sequence of Yb < Y < Eu ≈ Nd ≈ La.  相似文献

A three-dimensional CO(3)(2-)-bridged Mn(II)-Ru(2)(II,III) complex, Mn(4)(H(2)O)(16)H[Ru(2)(CO(3))(4)](2)[Ru(2)(CO(3))(4)(H(2)O)(2)]·11H(2)O (1), was synthesized by self-assembling Ru(2)(CO(3))(4)(3-) paddle-wheel precursors and Mn(2+) cations. It contains an unprecedented layer [Ru(2)(CO(3))(4)](n)(3n-) with (4,4) network. The ferromagnetic coupling between spin centers results in ordering below 3.0 K.  相似文献

A series of novel lanthanide polyoxomolybdates was synthesized by reaction of lanthanide cations with the Anderson type anion (TeMo(6)O(24))(6-). The polyoxometalates K(6n)(TeMo(6)O(24))(n)[(Ln(H(2)O)(7))(2)(TeMo(6)O(24))](n)[middle dot]16nH(2)O (Ln = Eu, Gd) and K(3n)[Ln(H(2)O)(5)(TeMo(6)O(24))](n)[middle dot]6nH(2)O (Ln = Tb, Dy, Ho, Er) were characterized by X-ray structure analysis, elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. We found that the solid-state structures of Ln/(TeMo(6)O(24))(6-) compounds are strongly dependent on the lanthanide cations, and therefore represent a rare example for different arrangements of building units depending on the nature of the rare earth cations. While the Eu(3+) and Gd(3+) cations achieve ninefold coordination by seven water molecules and two terminal oxygen atoms of the (TeMo(6)O(24))(6-) anions, the Tb(3+), Dy(3+), Ho(3+) and Er(3+) cations are coordinated by five water molecules, two terminal oxygen atoms and one molybdenum-bridging oxygen atom belonging to the (TeMo(6)O(24))(6-) anion. The europium and gadolinium substituted compounds contain infinite one-dimensional [(Ln(H(2)O)(7))(2)(TeMo(6)O(24))](n) chains; the terbium, dysprosium, holmium and erbium compounds contain infinite one-dimensional [Ln(H(2)O)(5)(TeMo(6)O(24))](n)(3n-) chains.  相似文献

Lanthanide hydroxide cluster complexes with acetylacetonate were synthesized by the hydrolysis of the corresponding hydrated lanthanide acetylacetonates in methanol in the presence of triethylamine. Polymeric lanthanide hydroxide complexes based on diamond-shaped dinuclear repeating units of [Ln(2)(CH(3)CO(3))(2)](4+) (Ln = La, Pr) and discrete complexes featuring a tetranuclear distorted cubane core of [Ln(4)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(μ(3)-OCH(3))(2)](8+) (Ln = Nd, Sm) and a nonanuclear core of [Ln(9)(μ(4)-O)(μ(4)-OH)(μ(3)-OH)(8)](16+) (Ln = Eu-Dy, Er, Yb) were obtained. The dependence of the cluster nuclearity on the identity of the lanthanide ion is rationalized in terms of the influences of a metal ion's Lewis acidity and the sterics about the Ln-OH unit on the kinetics of the assembly process that leads to a particular cluster.  相似文献

Reactions of a tetravanadate anion, [V(4)O(12)](4-), with a series of lanthanide(III) salts yield three types of lanthanide complexes of macrocyclic polyoxovanadates: (Et(4)N)(6)[Ln(III)V(9)O(27)] [Ln = Nd (1), Sm (2), Eu (3), Gd (4), Tb (5), Dy (6)], (Et(4)N)(5)[(H(2)O)Ho(III)(V(4)O(12))(2)] (7), and (Et(4)N)(7)[Ln(III)V(10)O(30)] [Ln = Er (8), Tm (9), Yb (10), Lu (11)]. Lanthanide complexes 1-11 are isolated and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy (EXAFS). Lanthanide complexes 1-6 are composed of a square-antiprism eight-coordinated Ln(III) center with a macrocyclic polyoxovanadate that is constructed from nine VO(4) tetrahedra through vertex sharing. The structure of 7 is composed of a seven-coordinated Ho(III) center, which exhibits a capped trigonal-prism coordination environment by the sandwiching of two cyclic tetravanadates with a capping H(2)O ligand. Lanthanide complexes 8-11 have a six-coordinated Ln(III) center with a 10-membered vanadate ligand. The structural trend to adopt a larger coordination number for a larger lanthanide ion among the three types of structures is accompanied by a change in the vanadate ring sizes. These lanthanide complexes are examined by EXAFS spectroscopies on lanthanide L(III) absorption edges, and the EXAFS oscillations of each of the samples in the solid state and in acetonitrile are identical. The Ln-O and Ln···V bond lengths obtained from fits of the EXAFS data are consistent with the data from the single-crystal X-ray studies, reflecting retention of the structures in acetonitrile.  相似文献

A family of three-dimensional (3D) architectures based on lanthanide-substituted polyoxometaloborate building blocks, [LnK(H(2)O)(12)][Ln(H(2)O)(6)](2)[(H(2)O)(4)LnBW(11)O(39)H](2)·20H(2)O (Ln = Ce 1, Nd 2), H(2)K(2)(H(2)O)(n)[(C(6)NO(2)H(5))Ln(H(2)O)(5)](2)[(H(2)O)(4)LnBW(11)O(39)H](2)·18H(2)O (Ln = Ce n = 8 3, Nd n = 9 4, C(6)NO(2)H(5) = pyridine-4-carboxylic acid), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, powder X-ray diffraction and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds 1 and 2 are isostructural, and are built up of lanthanide-substituted double-Keggin-type polyoxoanions [{(H(2)O)(4)Ln(BW(11)O(39)H)}(2)](10-) linked by Ln(3+) cations to form a 3D open framework with one-dimensional (1D) channels. The polyoxoanion [{(H(2)O)(4)Ln(BW(11)O(39)H)}(2)](10-) consists of two α(1)-type mono-Ln-substituted Keggin anions, constituted by two [BW(11)O(39)H](8-) polyoxoanions and two lanthanide cations. When pyridine-4-carboxylic acid ligand was added to the reaction system of 1, 2, compounds 3, 4 were obtained. Isostructural compounds 3 and 4 are constructed from the lanthanide-substituted double-Keggin-type polyoxoanions [{(H(2)O)(4)Ln(BW(11)O(39)H)}(2)](10-) linked by the [Ln(C(6)NO(2)H(5))](3+) bridges to form a 3D channel framework. From the topological point of view, the 3D nets of compounds 1-4 are binodal with three- and six-connected nodes and exhibit a rutile topology. Compounds 1-4 represent the examples of 3D architectures based on lanthanide-substituted polyoxometalates. The magnetic properties of compounds 1-4 have been studied by measuring their magnetic susceptibility in the temperature range 2-300 K.  相似文献

The reaction of Fe(III) with Na(+) and K(+) salts of the trivacant [alpha-SiW(9)O(34)](10)(-) ligand have been investigated at pH 6 and pH 1. A new dimer, [(alpha-SiFe(3)W(9)(OH)(3)O(34))(2)(OH)(3)](11-) (1), is synthesized by reacting Na(7)H(3)[alpha-SiW(9)O(34)] or K(10)[alpha-SiW(9)O(34)] with exactly 3 equiv of Fe(III) in a 0.5 M sodium acetate solution (pH 6). The structure of 1, determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (a = 22.454(2) A, b = 12.387(2) A, c = 37.421(2), beta = 100.107(8) degrees , monoclinic, C2/c, Z = 4, R(1) = 5.11% based on 12739 independent reflections), consists of two [alpha-SiFe(3)W(9)(OH)(3)O(34)](4-) units linked by three Fe-mu-OH-Fe bonds. Reaction of K(10)[alpha-SiW(9)O(34)] with 3 equiv of Fe(III) in water (pH 1) yields [(alpha-Si(FeOH(2))(2)FeW(9)(OH)(3)O(34))(2)](8)(-2). The structure of 2 was also determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (a = 36.903(2) A, b = 13.9868(9) A, c = 21.7839(13) A, beta = 122.709(1) degrees , monoclinic, C2/c, Z = 4, R(1) = 4.57% based on 11787 independent reflections). It consists of two [alpha-Si(FeOH(2))(2)FeW(9)(OH)(3)O(34)](4-) Keggin units linked by a single edge. The terminal ligand on Fe1 in each trisubstituted Keggin unit becomes a mu(2) oxo ligand bridging to a [WO(6)](2-) moiety. The UV-vis spectra of both complexes show the characteristic oxygen-to-metal-charge-transfer bands of polyoxometalates as well as an Fe(III)-centered band at 436 nm (epsilon = 146 M(-1) cm(-1)) and 456 nm (epsilon = 104 M(-1) cm(-1)) for complexes 1 and 2, respectively. Differential scanning calorimetry data show that complex 1 decomposes between 575 and 600 degrees C whereas no decomposition is observed for complex 2 up to temperatures of 600 degrees C.  相似文献

The reaction between polyoxometalate (POM) [TBA](12)[WZn{Zn(H(2)O)}(2)(ZnW(9)O(34))(2)] (TBA = tetrabutyl ammonium) and lanthanide (Ln) nitrate (Ln = La, Eu and Tb) in a mixed solvent of CH(3)CN and DMF yielded three noncentrosymmetric diamondoid Ln-POM solid materials, {[Ln(2)(DMF)(8)(H(2)O)(6)][ZnW(12)O(40)]}·4DMF (Ln-POM; Ln = La, Eu and Tb). In these compounds, the {ZnW(12)O(40)} unit, transferred from the metastable [WZn{Zn(H(2)O)}(2)(ZnW(9)O(34))(2)] cluster, acts as a tetradentate ligand to connect with four Ln nodes, while the Ln ion links up two {ZnW(12)O(40)} units. These compounds generated interesting luminescence emissions that are dependent on the Ln ions and their ratios. White light emission was obtained by a doped approach with a rational ratio of the Eu(3+) and Tb(3+) ions.  相似文献

Decomplexation of the trivalent lanthanide, Ln(III), from the racemic bimetallic triple-stranded helicates [LnCr(L8)(3)](6+) provides the inert chiral tripodal nonadentate receptor [Cr(L8)(3)](3+). Elution of the latter podand with Na(2)Sb(2)[(+)-C(4)O(6)H(2)](2).5H(2)O through a cation exchange column allows its separation into its inert helical enantiomers M-(+)(589)-[Cr(L8)(3)](3+) and P-(-)(589)-[Cr(L8)(3)](3+), whose absolute configurations are assigned by using CD spectroscopy and exciton theory. Recombination with Ln(III) restores the original triple-stranded helicates [LnCr(L8)(3)](6+), and the associated thermodynamic parameters unravel the contribution of electrostatic repulsion and preorganization to the complexation process. Combining M-(+)(589)-[Cr(L8)(3)](3+) with Eu(III) produces the enantiomerically pure d-f helicate MM-(-)(589)-[EuCr(L8)(3)](CF(3)SO(3))(6).4CH(3)CN, whose X-ray crystal structure (EuCrC(113)H(111)N(25)O(21)S(6)F(18), monoclinic, P2(1), Z = 2) unambiguously confirms the absolute left-handed configuration for the final helix. The associated ligand-centered and metal-centered chiro-optical properties recorded for the complexes MM-[LnCr(L8)(3)](6+) and PP-[LnCr(L8)(3)](6+) (Ln = Eu, Gd, Tb) show a strong effect of helicity on specific rotary dispersions, CD and CPL spectra.  相似文献

The tetradentate imino-carboxylate ligand [L](2)(-) chelates the equatorial sites of Ni(II) to give the complex [Ni(L)(MeOH)(2)] in which a Ni(II) center is bound in an octahedral coordination environment with MeOH ligands occupying the axial sites. Lanthanide (Ln) and Group II metal ions (M) template the aggregation of six [Ni(L)] fragments into the octahedral cage aggregates (M[Ni(L)](6))(x)(+) (1: M = Sr(II); x = 2,2: M = Ba(II); x = 2, 3: M = La(III); x = 3, 4: M = Ce(III); x = 3, 5: M = Pr(III); x = 3, and 6: M = Nd(III); x = 3). In the presence of Group I cations, however, aggregates composed of the alkali metal-oxide cations template various cage compounds. Thus, Na(+) forms the trigonal bipyramidal [Na(5)O](3+) core within a tricapped trigonal prismatic [Ni(L)](9) aggregate to give ((Na(5)O) subset [Ni(L)](9)(MeOH)(3))(BF(4))(2).OH.CH(3)OH, 7. Li(+) and Na(+) together form a mixed Li(+)/Na(+) core comprising distorted trigonal bipyramidal [Na(3)Li(2)O](3+) within an approximately anti-square prismatic [Ni(L)](8) cage in ((Na(3)Li(2)O) subset [Ni(L)](8)(CH(3)OH)(1.3)(BF(4))(0.7))(BF(4))(2.3).(CH(3)OH)(2.75).(C(4)H(10)O)(0.5), 8, while in the presence of Li(+), a tetrahedral [Li(4)O](2+) core within a hexanuclear open cage [Ni(L)](6) in ((Li(4)O) subset [Ni(L)](6)(CH(3)OH)(3))2ClO(4).1.85CH(3)OH, 9, is produced. In the presence of H(2)O, the Cs(+) cation induces the aggregation of the [Ni(L)(H(2)O)(2)] monomer to give the cluster Cs(2)[Ni(L)(H(2)O)(2)](6).2I.4CH(3)OH.5.25H(2)O, 10. Analysis by electronic spectroscopy and mass spectrometry indicates that in solution the trend in stability follows the order 1-6 > 7 > 8 approximately 9. Magnetic susceptibility data indicate that there is net antiferromagnetic exchange between magnetic centers within the cages.  相似文献

Rare earth metals activated with ca. 2% iodine react directly with 2,6-diisopropylphenol (HOdip) in tetrahydrofuran (thf), 1,2-dimethoxyethane (dme), and dig-dme (dig = di(2-methoxyethyl) ether) to give solvated phenolate complexes [Ln(Odip)(3)(thf)(n)] (Ln = La, Nd, n = 3; Ln = Sm, Dy, Y, Yb, n = 2), [Eu(Odip)(μ-Odip)(thf)(2)](2), [Ln(Odip)(3)(dme)(2)] (Ln = La, Yb) and [La(Odip)(3)(dig)] in good yield for Ln = La, Nd, Eu but modest yield for smaller Ln metals under comparable conditions. However, increasing the excess of metal greatly increased the yield for Ln = Y. The synthetic method has general potential, at least for lanthanoid phenolates. Comparison redox transmetallation/protolysis (RTP) reactions between Ln metals, Hg(C(6)F(5))(2) and the phenol gave higher yields in shorter time and, for Eu, gave [Eu(Odip)(3)(thf)(3)] in contrast to an Eu(II) complex from Eu(I(2)). New [Ln(Odip)(3)(thf)(3)] complexes have fac-octahedral structures and [Ln(Odip)(3)(thf)(2)] monomeric five coordinate distorted trigonal bipyramidal structures with apical thf ligands. [Eu(Odip)(μ-Odip)(thf)(2)](2) is an unsymmetrical dimer with two bridging Odip ligands. One five coordinate Eu atom has distorted trigonal bipyramidal stereochemistry and the other is distorted square pyramidal. Whilst [La(Odip)(3)(dme)(2)] has irregular seven coordination with mer-Odip and chelating dme ligands, [Ln(Odip)(3)(dme)(2)] (Ln = Dy, Y (prepared by ligand exchange), Yb) are monomeric six coordinate with one chelating and one unidentate dme. A six coordinate fac-octahedral arrangement is observed in [La(Odip)(3)(dig)].  相似文献

This work illustrates a simple approach for optimizing long-lived near-infrared lanthanide-centered luminescence using trivalent chromium chromophores as sensitizers. Reactions of the segmental ligand L2 with stoichiometric amounts of M(CF(3)SO(3))(2) (M = Cr, Zn) and Ln(CF(3)SO(3))(3) (Ln = Nd, Er, Yb) under aerobic conditions quantitatively yield the D(3)-symmetrical trinuclear [MLnM(L2)(3)](CF(3)SO(3))(n) complexes (M = Zn, n = 7; M = Cr, n = 9), in which the central lanthanide activator is sandwiched between the two transition metal cations. Visible or NIR irradiation of the peripheral Cr(III) chromophores in [CrLnCr(L2)(3)](9+) induces rate-limiting intramolecular intermetallic Cr→Ln energy transfer processes (Ln = Nd, Er, Yb), which eventually produces lanthanide-centered near-infrared (NIR) or IR emission with apparent lifetimes within the millisecond range. As compared to the parent dinuclear complexes [CrLn(L1)(3)](6+), the connection of a second strong-field [CrN(6)] sensitizer in [CrLnCr(L2)(3)](9+) significantly enhances the emission intensity without perturbing the kinetic regime. This work opens novel exciting photophysical perspectives via the buildup of non-negligible population densities for the long-lived doubly excited state [Cr*LnCr*(L2)(3)](9+) under reasonable pumping powers.  相似文献

A family of thirteen tetranuclear heterometallic zinc(II)-lanthanide(III) complexes of the hexa-imine macrocycle (L(Pr))(6-), with general formula Zn(II)(3)Ln(III)(L(Pr))(NO(3))(3)·xsolvents (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm or Yb), were prepared in a one-pot synthesis using a 3:1:3:3 reaction of zinc(II) acetate, the appropriate lanthanide(III) nitrate, the dialdehyde 1,4-diformyl-2,3-dihydroxybenzene (H(2)L(1)) and 1,3-diaminopropane. A hexanuclear homometallic zinc(II) macrocyclic complex [Zn(6)(L(Pr))(OAc)(5)(OH)(H(2)O)]·3H(2)O was obtained using a 2:0:1:1 ratio of the same reagents. A control experiment using a 1:0:1:1 ratio failed to generate the lanthanide-free [Zn(3)(L(Pr))] macrocyclic complex. The reaction of H(2)L(1) and zinc(II) acetate in a 1:1 ratio yielded the pentanuclear homometallic complex of the dialdehyde H(2)L(1), [Zn(5)(L(1))(5)(H(2)O)(6)]·3H(2)O. An X-ray crystal structure determination revealed [Zn(3)(II)Pr(III)(L(Pr))(NO(3))(2)(DMF)(3)](NO(3))·0.9DMF has the large ten-coordinate lanthanide(III) ion bound in the central O(6) site with two bidentate nitrate anions completing the O(10) coordination sphere. The three square pyramidal zinc(II) ions are in the outer N(2)O(2) sites with a fifth donor from DMF. Measurement of the magnetic properties of [Zn(II)(3)Dy(III)(L(Pr))(NO(3))(3)(MeOH)(3)]·4H(2)O with a weak external dc field showed that it has a frequency-dependent out-of-phase component of ac susceptibility, indicative of slow relaxation of the magnetization (SMM behaviour). Likewise, the Er and Yb analogues are field-induced SMMs; the latter is only the second example of a Yb-based SMM. The neodymium, ytterbium and erbium complexes are luminescent in the solid phase, but only the ytterbium and neodymium complexes show strong lanthanide-centred luminescence in DMF solution.  相似文献

Several new large polyoxotungstates have been synthesized by reaction of lanthanide cations with the well-known "As(4)W(40)" anion, [(B-alpha-AsO(3)W(9)O(30))(4)(WO(2))(4)](28-) (1). The heteropolyanions [(H(2)O)(11)Ln(III)(Ln(III)(2)OH)(B-alpha-AsO(3)W(9)O(30))(4)(WO(2))(4)](20)(-) (Ln = Ce, Nd, Sm, Gd) (2-4) (Ln(3)As(4)W(40)) and [M(m)()(H(2)O)(10)(Ln(III)(2)OH)(2)(B-alpha-AsO(3)W(9)O(30))(4)(WO(2))(4)]((18-m)(-)) (Ln = La, Ce, Gd and M = Ba, K, none) (5-7) (Ln(4)As(4)W(40)) have been isolated as alkali metal and ammonium salts, respectively, and characterized by single-crystal X-ray analysis, elemental analysis, and IR and (183)W-NMR spectroscopy. The X-ray analyses revealed interanionic W-O-Ln bonds between adjacent Ln(x)()As(4)W(40) units forming a "dimer" for x = 3 and chains for x = 4. Upon dissolving in water these bonds hydrolyze and the monomeric species form. The straightforward syntheses which require the use of concentrated NaCl solutions (1-4 M) and the addition of stoichiometric amounts of Ba(2+) or K(+) reemphasize the importance of the presence of appropriate countercations for the assembly of large polyoxometalate structures.  相似文献

The platelike crystals of a series of novel molecular conductors, which are based on the pi-donor molecules BDT-TTP (2,5-bis(1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene) with a tetrathiapentalene skeleton and lanthanide nitrate complex anions [Ln(NO3)x](3-x)(Ln = La, Ce, (Pr), Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu) with localized 4f magnetic moments, were synthesized. Except for the Ce complex, the salts were composed of (BDT-TTP)(5)[Ln(NO(3))(5)] and were isostructural. Even though the Ce crystal had a different composition, (BDT-TTP)(6)[Ce(NO(3))(6)](C(2)H(5)OH)(x)() (x approximately 3), the crystals all had the space group P(-)1. Although the X-ray examination of the Pr salts was insufficient, the existence of two modifications was suggested in these systems by preliminary X-ray examination. Previously, we reported the crystal structures and unique magnetic properties of (BDT-TTP)(5)[Ln(NO(3))(5)] (Ln = Sm, Eu, Nd, Gd). Thus, by combining the results of this work with previous one, we for the first time succeeded in obtaining a complete set of organic conductors composed of the identical pi-donors (BDT-TTP in this case) and all the lanthanide nitrate complex anions (except the complex with Pm(3+)). The crystals were all metallic down to 2 K. Electronic band structure calculations resulted in two-dimensional Fermi surfaces, which was consistent with their stable metallic states. Except for the Lu complex, which lacked paramagnetic moments, the magnetic susceptibilities were measured on the six heavy lanthanide ion complex salts by a SQUID magnetometer (Ln = Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb). The large paramagnetic susceptibilities, which were caused by the paramagnetic moments of the rare-earth ions, were obtained. The Curie-Weiss law fairly accurately reproduced the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibilities of (BDT-TTP)(5)[Ho(NO(3))(5)] in the experimental temperature range (2-300 K) and a comparatively large Weiss temperature (|THETAV;|) was obtained (THETAV;(Ho) = -15 K). A Weiss temperature (THETAV;(Tm) = -8 K) was also obtained for Tm. The |THETAV;| values of other (BDT-TTP)(5)[Ln(NO(3))(5)] salts and (BDT-TTP)(6)[Ce(NO(3))(6)](C(2)H(5)OH)x(x approximately 3) were as follows: |THETAV;|/K = 4 (Er), < or =2 (Ce, Tb, Dy, Yb). The comparatively strong intermolecular magnetic interaction between Ho(3+) ions, which was suggested by the |THETAV;| value, is inconsistent with the traditional image of strongly localized 4f orbitals shielded by the electrons in the outer 5s and 5p orbitals. The dipole interactions between Ln(3+) ions causing the Curie-Weiss behavior and the comparatively large THETAV; value of (BDT-TTP)(5)[Ho(NO(3))(5)] is inconsistent with the data, since the complexes exhibit isostructural properties and there is not a clear relationship between the magnitudes of THETAV; values and those of magnetic moments. Therefore, it is possible that the 4f orbitals of Ho atom are sensitive to the ligand field, which will have an effect on the orbital moment of the Ho(3+) ion and/or produce a small amount of mixing between 4f and ligand orbitals to give rise to "real" intermolecular antiferromagnetic interaction through intermolecular overlapping between pi (BDT-TTP) and ligand orbitals of lanthanide nitrate complex anions.  相似文献
