The sources of static vacuum plane space-times with reflection symmetry are considered. It is argued that the counterpart of the Einstein theory to the gravitational field of a massive Newtonian plane should be described by the Rindler solution, which represents also a uniform gravitational field, and the test particles moving in which have constant accelerations.  相似文献

Even when the Higgs particle is finally detected, it will continue to be a legitimate question to ask whether the inertia of matter as a reaction force opposing acceleration is an intrinsic or extrinsic property of matter. General relativity specifies which geodesic path a free particle will follow, but geometrodynamics has no mechanism for generating a reaction force for deviation from geodesic motion. We discuss a different approach involving the electromagnetic zero‐point field (ZPF) of the quantum vacuum. It has been found that certain asymmetries arise in the ZPF as perceived from an accelerating reference frame. In such a frame the Poynting vector and momentum flux of the ZPF become non‐zero. Scattering of this quantum radiation by the quarks and electrons in matter can result in an acceleration‐dependent reaction force. Both the ordinary and the relativistic forms of Newton's second law, the equation of motion, can be derived from the electrodynamics of such ZPF‐particle interactions. Conjectural arguments are given why this interaction should take place in a resonance at the Compton frequency, and how this could simultaneously provide a physical basis for the de Broglie wavelength of a moving particle. This affords a suggestive perspective on a deep connection between electrodynamics, the origin of inertia and the quantum wave nature of matter.  相似文献

利用X射线光电子能谱(XPS)仪对激活后的GaAs真空电子源进行了随时间衰减变化的XPS分析,分析发现了电子源阴极表面各元素百分含量随时间的变化,揭示了杂质气体吸附造成的偶极矩方向的改变是电子源灵敏度显著下降的主要原因.基于上述结论,通过分析真空系统中杂质气体的吸附过程,推导并得到了GaAs电子源衰减模型.该模型从理论上揭示了GaAs电子源的指数衰减规律以及寿命与真空度的反比关系,与实验现象完全一致. 关键词: 电子源 X射线光电子能谱 衰减模型 真空度  相似文献

A new, globally regular model describing a static, non spherical gravitating object in General Relativity is presented. The model is composed by a vacuum Weyl–Levi-Civita special field – the so called gamma metric – generated by a regular static distribution of mass-energy. Standard requirements of physical reasonableness such as, energy, matching and regularity conditions are satisfied. The model is used as a toy in investigating various issues related to the directional behavior of naked singularities in static spacetimes and the black hole (Schwarzschild) limit.  相似文献

太赫兹波辐射源是太赫兹(THz)波技术的关键.真空电子太赫兹器件在高频、大功率太赫兹源发展中较其他技术有明显的优势,微米尺度高电流密度微型电子束源则是研制真空电子太赫兹器件的核心之一.本文在研制低温、大电流纳米粒子氧化钪掺杂含钪扩散阴极(nanosized-scandia doped dispenser cathode)的基础上,采用发射抑制膜沉积与聚焦离子束(FIB)刻蚀技术,研制无需压缩直接提供高电流密度的微型电子束的电子源.所研究的电子束源直径400μm,在工作温度950fiC,提供空间电荷限制电流密度50 A/cm2时,已稳定工作1000 h以上,并且层流性良好.本文阐述了阴极制备工艺、电子发射特性、微米尺度电子束源的获得和特性,介绍了发射抑制膜的结构和抑制特性的评估.并探讨了镀膜和刻蚀对发射的影响机理.这一电子束源在常规毫米尺度电子源的基础上产生微米尺度的微区高电流密度的电子束,为真空电子太赫兹辐射源的研制提供了新的途径.  相似文献

研究了靶室静态真空对超声喷流气体团簇产生和制备的影响.通过瑞利散射方法测量了不同静态真空度下超声喷流氩团簇的尺度和密度参数,发现在喷嘴出口附近团簇尺度和密度受静态真空度的影响较小;在距离喷嘴较远处,氩气团簇存在同氢气团簇类似的自限制效应,验证了自限制效应在团簇制备、输运过程中的重要作用.该结果对于建造基于激光聚变原理的桌面中子源具有较大的参考意义,可据此简化真空装置以降低运行和维护成本.  相似文献

The multipole moment method not only conduces to the understanding of the deformation of the space--time, but also serves as an effective tool to approximately solve the Einstein field equation with. However, the usual multipole moments are recursively determined by a sequence of symmetric and trace-free tensors, which is inconvenient for practical resolution. In this paper, we develop a simplified procedure to generate the series solutions to the metric of the stationary vacuum with axisymmetry, and show its validity. In order to understand the free parameters in the solution, we propose to take the Schwarzschild metric as a standard ruler, and some well- known examples are analysed and compared with the series solutions in detail.  相似文献

A class of solutions, which may be called the Majumdar-Papapetrou (MP) class, has been derived for static coupled zero-mass and source-free electromagnetic fields. This has been done in two stages. First, it has been shown that the well-known MP relation between theg 44 component of the metric tensor and the electrostatic potential, in certain physical situations, continues to remain the same without being affected by the presence of the zeromass field. Second, using the method of Majumdar, we have developed a theorem that enables one to generate solutions for the coupled field from Einstein's vacuum equations and the solution of a differential equation which, due to its resemblance, may be called a generalized Laplace equation.  相似文献

We calculate the renormalized quantum vacuum energy inside a spherical boundary for the massless conformal scalar field in curved background Robertson-Walker geometry. 真空弧放电等离子体含有多种离子成分,并且各离子在空间上具有不同的分布规律.本文针对金属氘化物电极真空弧离子源,搭建了一台紧凑型磁分析装置,用来研究放电等离子体中氘离子与金属离子的空间分布.当离子源弧流为100 A左右时,该装置能有效地传输引出束流,并且具有较好的二次电子抑制效果,可准确获得各离子流强.利用该装置测量并获得了氘化钛含氘电极真空弧放电等离子体内氘离子和钛离子空间分布规律,结果表明:径向上,氘离子和钛离子都呈高斯分布,但氘离子分布均匀,而钛离子相对集中在轴线附近,导致轴线附近氘离子比例最低;轴向上,所有离子数量都以自然指数函数减少,而且相对幅度接近,所以氘离子比例几乎不变.本文研究结果不仅有助于理解真空弧放电等离子体膨胀过程,还可以指导金属氘化物电极真空弧离子源及其引出设计.  相似文献

The consequences of taking the total active gravitational mass of the universe phasewise constant together with a decaying vacuum energy in the background of Robertson-Walker space-time are investigated. The model so determined admits a contracted Ricci-collineation along the fluid flow vectorν i. It is geometrically closed but ever-expanding and does not possess the initial singularity, horizon, entropy, monopole or cosmological constant problems of the standard big bang cosmology. Estimates of the present matter; radiation and vacuum energy densities, the age of the universe and the present values of the deceleration parameter and the scale factor are also obtained.  相似文献

It is shown that among the four classes of the static spherically symmetric solutions of the vacuum Brans-Dicke theory of gravity only two are really independent. Further, by matching exterior and interior (due to physically reasonable spherically symmetric matter source) scalar fields it is found that only the Brans class I solution with a certain restriction on the solution parameters may represent an exterior metric for a nonsingular massive object. The physical viability of the black hole nature of the solution is investigated. It is concluded that no physical black hole solution different from the Schwarzschild black hole is available in the Brans-Dicke theory.  相似文献

We consider various gauge fields coupled to the free Dirac equation according to symmetry principles. The gauge fields are treated as classical, unquantized fields. Sufficiently strong time-independent fields may give rise to spontaneous particle creation and to the decay of the symmetric Dirac vacuum into a new ground state with broken symmetry. The vacuum stability of the Dirac field is studied for the cases of external electromagnetic (U(1)), gravitational (Poincaré group including torsion) and Yang-Mills (SU(2)) potentials.  相似文献

There are two types (WSM-I and WSM-II) of the WSMs. The WSMs of different types have various topological and transport properties. Besides pure WSM-I and WSM-II, there exists a novel type, dubbed “hybrid Weyl semimetal”, which contains the Weyl points of both types. In this Letter we consider the hybrid WSM under crossed magnetic and electric fields. The electromagnetic field induces transition between different types of spectrum in Weyl point (WP). Thus, hybrid phase of the WSM can be tunable using the electromagnetic field. Finally, we proposed a new field-induced type of hybrid WSM in which two different regimes of spectrum coexist. In this case, the spectrum near the first WP corresponds to electric regime (no Landau levels) and the spectrum in the second WP with opposite chirality corresponds to magnetic regime (there are Landau levels).  相似文献
