Dark matter, the major component of the matter content of the Universe, played a significant role at early stages during structure formation. But at present the Universe is dark energy dominated as well as accelerating. Here, the presence of dark energy has been established by including a time-dependent Λ term in the Einstein’s field equations. This model is compatible with the idea of an accelerating Universe so far as the value of the deceleration parameter is concerned. Possibility of a change in sign of the deceleration parameter is also discussed. The impact of considering the speed of light as variable in the field equations has also been investigated by using a well known time-dependent Λ model.  相似文献

A four-dimensional timelike brane with non-zero energy density is considered as the boundary of a five dimensional Schwarzschild anti de Sitter bulk background. The self-gravitational corrections to the first Friedmann equation act as a source of stiff matter contrary to standard FRW cosmology where the charge of the black hole plays this role. In a previous related paper (Setare in Eur. Phys. J. C 47:851, [2006]), bouncing cosmology was studied, from a holographic perspective, for the very special case of a brane that is void of any intrinsic matter sources. In this paper we extend the results of (Setare in Eur. Phys. J. C 47:851, [2006]). We consider the physically relevant case in which a perfect fluid with equation of state of radiation is present on the brane. Then, we describe solutions of the braneworld theory under investigation and also determine their stability. Specifically, if we do not consider the self-gravitational corrections, the AdS black hole with zero ADM mass, and open horizon is an attractor, while, if we consider, the AdS black hole with zero ADM mass and flat horizon, and D3-brane with non-zero energy density is a repeller.  相似文献

The characteristics of bound states of hypernuclei were calculated in [1] in a wide range of mass numbers within the potential model for three different potentials. In this study, the phase shifts and low-energy parameters for scattering of Λ hyperons from core nuclei, considered in [1], have been calculated for the same potentials. The calculated scattering lengths and effective radii are compared with their values found in [1] on the basis of the data on the binding energies and vertex constants of hypernuclei.  相似文献

An elementary gauge-non-invariant model and the bosonized form of the chiral Schwinger model are introduced as classical theories. The constraint structure is then investigated. It is shown that by introducing a new field, these models can be made gauge-invariant. The BRST form of quantization is reviewed and applied to each of these models in turn such that gauge-invariance is not broken. Some consequences of this form of quantization are discussed.  相似文献

Motivated by the dark energy issue, a minisuperspace approach to the stability for modified gravitational models in a four dimensional cosmological setting is investigated. Specifically, after revisiting the f(R) case, R being the Ricci curvature, we present a stability condition around a de Sitter solution valid for modified gravitational models of generalized type F(R,G,Q), G and Q being the Gauss-Bonnet and quadratic Riemann invariants respectively. According to a model of quantum cosmology the maximum number of degrees of freedom allowed in our three dimensions was determined by the size of seven extra dimensions in an initial excited state before inflation. The size of the extra dimensions can be inferred from a simple scheme for unifying the strong force and gravity. Coupled with the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy bound, these considerations lead to a scaling law for the cosmological constant that has been proposed independently by several authors.  相似文献

This is the second of two papers on a continuum version of the Potts model, where particles are points in ℝ d , d≥2, with a spin which may take S≥3 possible values. Particles with different spins repel each other via a Kac pair potential of range γ −1, γ>0. In this paper we prove phase transition, namely we prove that if the scaling parameter of the Kac potential is suitably small, given any temperature there is a value of the chemical potential such that at the given temperature and chemical potential there exist S+1 mutually distinct DLR measures.  相似文献

The ratio of the scale parameter Λ in massless QCD defined on a lattice to the one in the continuum theory is determined by performing one-loop renormalization of the coupling constant. Our calculation method on a lattice directly relates Λlattice to the continuum one in the minimal subtraction scheme. The effect of incorporation of massless quarks depends on a parameter λ which is introduced to avoid trouble with fermions on a lattice. For λ=1, which is Wilson's value, the ratio previously calculated by Hasenfratz in the pure gauge theory is changed as follows:
Δα=1MOMΔlattice=83.5for pure SU(3) gauge theory;
Δα=1MOMΔlattice=105.7 for QCD with 3 flavors;
Δα=1MOMΔlattice=105.7 117.0 for QCD with 4 flavors.

The deformations of light Λ hypernuclei are studied in an extended nonrelativistic deformed Skyrme-Hartree-Fock approach with realistic modern nucleonic Skyrme forces,pairing correlations,and a microscopical lambda-nucleon interaction derived from Brueckner-Hartree-Fock calculations.Compared to the large effect of an additional Λ particle on nuclear deformation in the light soft nuclei within relativistic mean field method,this effect is much smaller in the nonrelativistic mean-field approximation.  相似文献

We consider one dimensional systems of particles interacting with each other through long range interactions that are translation invariant. We seek quasi-periodic equilibrium states. Standard arguments show that if there are continuous families of quasi-periodic ground states, the system can have large scale motion, if the family of ground states is discontinuous, the system is pinned down. The transition between the two cases is called breakdown of analyticity and has been widely studied. We use recently developed fast and efficient algorithms to compute all the continuous families of ground states even close to the boundary of analyticity. We show that the boundary of analyticity can be computed by monitoring some appropriate norm of the computed solutions. We implemented these algorithms on several models. We found that there are regions where the boundary is smooth and the breakdown satisfies scaling relations. In other regions, the scalings seem to be interrupted and restart again. We present a renormalization group explanation of these phenomena. This suggest that the renormalization group may have some complicated global behavior.  相似文献

A new information-geometric approach to chaotic dynamics on curved statistical manifolds based on Entropic Dynamics (ED) is proposed. It is shown that the hyperbolicity of a non-maximally symmetric 6N-dimensional statistical manifold ℳ s underlying an ED Gaussian model describing an arbitrary system of 3N degrees of freedom leads to linear information-geometric entropy growth and to exponential divergence of the Jacobi vector field intensity, quantum and classical features of chaos respectively.  相似文献

We analyze the large-time behavior of various kinetic models for the redistribution of wealth in simple market economies introduced in the pertinent literature in recent years. As specific examples, we study models with fixed saving propensity introduced by Chakraborti and Chakrabarti (Eur. Phys. J. B 17:167–170, 2000), as well as models involving both exchange between agents and speculative trading as considered by Cordier et al. (J. Stat. Phys. 120:253–277, 2005) We derive a sufficient criterion under which a unique non-trivial stationary state exists, and provide criteria under which these steady states do or do not possess a Pareto tail. In particular, we prove the absence of Pareto tails in pointwise conservative models, like the one in (Eur. Phys. J. B 17:167–170, 2000), while models with speculative trades introduced in (J. Stat. Phys. 120:253–277, 2005) develop fat tails if the market is “risky enough”. The results are derived by a Fourier-based technique first developed for the Maxwell-Boltzmann equation (Gabetta et al. in J. Stat. Phys. 81:901–934, 1995; Bisi et al. in J. Stat. Phys. 118(1–2):301–331, 2005; Pareschi and Toscani in J. Stat. Phys. 124(2–4):747–779, 2006) and from a recursive relation which allows to calculate arbitrary moments of the stationary state.  相似文献

In this communication, we report on the attempt to make full use of the off-gases from polycarbosilane-derived SiC preparation, and we successfully synthesized long SiC nanowires in large areas with Fe(NO3)3 as catalyst. The nanowires have diameters of about 80–300 nm and lengths of millimeters, and they are identified as single crystals β-SiC along the 〈111〉 direction. The VLS mechanism was employed to interpret the nanowire growth.  相似文献

Through discussions on the fundamental properties of the generalized Einstein’s Lagrangian density for a gravitational system, the theoretical foundations of the modified Einstein’s field equations and the Lorentz and Levi-Civita’s conservation laws are systematically studied. Study of the correlations of two identical particles with a small relative difference in their 4-momenta can provide information on the space-time behavior of a source and the shape of the potential between the particles. Our study of correlations is based on the SELEX experimental data. From a set of events involving Λ pairs, we selected the approximately ∼2600 such events with the best kinematical parameters, on the basis of which the preliminary results from our analysis of ΛΛ system correlations are presented.  相似文献
