A systematic study on the influence of carbon on the signal of a large number of hard-to-ionize elements (i.e. B, Be, P, S, Zn, As, Se, Pd, Cd, Sb, I, Te, Os, Ir, Pt, Au, and Hg) in inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry has been carried out. To this end, carbon matrix effects have been evaluated considering different plasma parameters (i.e. nebulizer gas flow rate, r.f. power and sample uptake rate), sample introduction systems, concentration and type of carbon matrix (i.e. glycerol, citric acid, potassium citrate and ammonium carbonate) and type of mass spectrometer (i.e. quadrupole filter vs. double-focusing sector field mass spectrometer). Experimental results show that P, As, Se, Sb, Te, I, Au and Hg sensitivities are always higher for carbon-containing solutions than those obtained without carbon. The other hard-to-ionize elements (Be, B, S, Zn, Pd, Cd, Os, Ir and Pt) show no matrix effect, signal enhancement or signal suppression depending on the experimental conditions selected. The matrix effects caused by the presence of carbon are explained by changes in the plasma characteristics and the corresponding changes in ion distribution in the plasma (as reflected in the signal behavior plot, i.e. the signal intensity as a function of the nebulizer gas flow rate). However, the matrix effects for P, As, Se, Sb, Te, I, Au and Hg are also related to an increase in analyte ion population caused as a result of charge transfer reactions involving carbon-containing charged species in the plasma. The predominant specie is C+, but other species such as CO+, CO2+, C2+ and ArC+ could also play a role. Theoretical data suggest that B, Be, S, Pd, Cd, Os, Ir and Pt could also be involved in carbon based charge transfer reactions, but no experimental evidence substantiating this view has been found.  相似文献

The steric and electronic effects of bulky aryl and silyl groups on the Si–Si triple bonding in RSiSiR and the short Ga–Ga distance in Na2[RGaGaR] are investigated by density functional calculations. As typical bulky groups, Tbt = C6H2-2,4,6-{CH(SiMe3)2}3, Ar′ = C6H3-2,6-(C6H3-2,6-iPr2)2, Ar1 = C6H3-2,6-(C6H2-2,4,6-iPr3)2, SiMe(SitBu3)2, and SiiPrDis2 (Dis = CH(SiMe3)2) are investigated and characterized. The importance of large basis sets is emphasized for density functional calculations.  相似文献

The relative stabilities of different isomers of the isoelectronic series C(n)H(n)P(5-n)(+) have been investigated using G3X theory. The results indicate that all species containing one or more phosphorus atom adopt a three-dimensional nido geometry, in marked contrast to the planar structure favoured by the all-carbon analogue. Within isomeric nido clusters, a strong correlation between total energy and the nucleus-independent chemical shift (NICS) indicates that three-dimensional aromaticity plays a significant role in determining the stability of the cluster. In the context of these nido clusters, the extent to which phosphorus is a carbon copy proves to be highly dependent on the global electronic environment. The first isolobal substitution of CH by P causes a complete switch from localised to delocalised bonding, accompanied by a transition from a two- to a three-dimensional structure, with the phosphorus atom showing a strong preference for the unique apical site. In contrast, further increasing the phosphorus content causes no further change in structure or bonding, suggesting that, at the basal sites, phosphorus is a rather better carbon copy. The low-energy pathways for interconversion of apical and basal atoms previously identified in C(2)H(2)P(3)(+) prove to be a general feature of all members of the series.  相似文献

A generic method to screen for new or unexpected contaminants at ppm levels in food has been developed. The method comprises an acidic acetonitrile extraction, detection with ultra-high-pressure liquid chromatography coupled to electrospray ionisation time-of-flight mass spectrometry and statistical evaluation using a metabolomics approach comparing suspected contaminated food with uncontaminated foods. The method was tested for 26 model contaminants from 100 μg/g down to 0.4 μg/g in three brands of fresh orange juice. Blinded statistical evaluation revealed signals from all added contaminants detectable by liquid chromatography–electrospray ionisation using positive ionisation mode, while only two false-positive signals were reported. The method is primarily intended to be used for investigation of food samples suspected to be contaminated with unknown substances. Additionally it could be used to continuously monitor for appearance of new food contaminants as a complement to the specific targeted analysis that is today’s foundation of food safety analysis.  相似文献

In the presence of n-Bu4NBr acting as phase-transfer reagent, n-Bu4N+ salts of organophosphoryl polyoxotungstate derivatives [RP(O)]2X n+W11O39 (8–n)– [R = PhCH2CH2P(O), X = P, Si; R = C6H11P(O); X = Ge, Ga] have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, i.r., 31P- and 183W-n.m.r. spectroscopy. According to the elemental analysis and spectroscopic data, the hybrid anions consist of an -[XW11O39] framework on which are grafted two equivalent organophosphoryl groups through P—O—W bridges; these new species still retain the Keggin structure. The six-line 183W spectrum indicates that hybrid anions possess C s symmetry in MeCN.  相似文献

Intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) of gaseous π-conjugated oligo-phenyleneethynylenes (OPE) induced by a homogeneous applied electric field has been theoretically investigated using a combined approach integrating molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and Perturbed Matrix Method calculations. In line with recent investigations, our results indicate the peculiar role of conformational transitions on OPE electronic properties which reflects on a strong temperature effect on ICT. Electron transfer reactions inducing chemical alteration on OPE, also taken into account in this study, revealed extremely important for explaining non-linear ICT effects and probably plays a central role in the mechanisms underlying molecular transport junctions. Our study further points out the necessity of using MD-based approach for modelling molecular electronics, even when relatively rigid molecular systems are concerned.  相似文献

In this study, a simplified, sensitive and reliable LC–tandem mass spectrometry method was established and validated for the quantification of ulipristal acetate (UPA) in human plasma and for the investigation of pharmacokinetic profile of UPA following a single oral administration of ella (UPA 30-mg tablet) in healthy Chinese volunteers. Plasma samples were analyzed after being processed by protein precipitation with methanol. Chromatographic separation was performed on a Kinetex EVO C18 column (2.1 × 50 mm, 2.6 μm) using gradient elution with a mobile phase composed of methanol and water containing 2 mm ammonium acetate and 0.3% formic acid at a flow rate of 0.3 mL/min. The chromatographic running time was 4.0 min per sample. The MS detection was performed via an LC system with the positive ion electrospray ionization interface in multiple reaction monitoring mode using the transition of m/z 476.2 → 134.1 for UPA and m/z 479.3 → 416.2 for UPA-d3 [internal standard (IS)], respectively. UPA and IS were monitored without severe interference from the biological matrices. The method was linear over the wide concentration range of 0.300–300 ng/mL. The intra- and inter-day precision and accuracy were well within the limits required for bioanalytical assays. The method was first used to describe the pharmacokinetic characteristic of UPA after a single oral administration of ella in healthy Chinese volunteers. Based on a between-study comparison, there were statistically significant differences (p < .05) between Chinese and Caucasian volunteers for the systemic exposure of UPA, suggesting that race seems to significantly impact the systemic exposure of UPA.  相似文献

Herein we report the reactions of 3,4,5,6-tetrafluoroterephthalonitrile ( 1 ) with bis(silylene) and bis(germylene) LE−EL [E=Si ( 2 ) and Ge( 3 ): L=PhC(NtBu)2)]. The reaction of LSi−SiL (L=PhC(NtBu)2) ( 2 ) with two equivalents of 1 resulted in an unprecedented oxidative addition of a C−F bond of 1 leading to disilicon(III) fluoride {L(4-C8F3N)FSi−SiF(4-C8F3N)L}( 4 ), wherein the Si−Si single bond was retained. In contrast, the reaction of LGe−GeL (L=PhC(NtBu)2) ( 3 ) with one equivalent of 1 resulted in the oxidative cleavage of Ge−Ge bond leading to L(4-C8F3N2)Ge ( 5 ) and LGeF ( 6 ). All three compounds ( 4 – 6 ) were characterized by NMR spectroscopy, EI-MS spectrometry, and elemental analysis. X-ray single-crystal structure determination of compound 4 unequivocally established that the SiIII−SiIII bond remains uncleaved.  相似文献

For a comparison between gaseous and condensed phase reactivity (CO)5MnM′Ph3 (M′ = Si, Ge, Sn) have been investigated by chemical ionization mass spectrometry with CH4, i-C4H10, NH3 and H2 as reactant gases. The reactivity of the substrate towards the reactant gas increases on going from the silicon to the tin derivative and, for a given substrate methane is the most reactive gas. The two most important reactions of the protonated samples are those which lead to the ions [M-Ph]+ and [M′Ph3]+, and are the same as those observed in the condensed phase; the change of the relative abundance of these ions upon variation of the probe temperature is discussed.  相似文献

There is substantial evidence that circulating estrogens promote the proliferation of breast cancer. Consequently, adjuvant hormonal treatment strategies targeting estrogen action have been established. Such hormonal therapies include selective estrogen receptor modulators, such as tamoxifen, which interfere at the estrogen receptors directly, or non-steroidal aromatase inhibitors, such as anastrozole and letrozole, which inhibit estrogen synthesis through blocking the aromatase, a key enzyme of estrogen production. Despite considerable therapeutic success, in several cases, the use of these drugs is limited by side effects that have been described to significantly impair the adherence of patients to endocrine treatment. However, objective data concerning patient adherence and its clinical relevance are limited. One promising approach to check patient-reported adherence is drug monitoring in human plasma. Therefore, a liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry method to determine the plasma concentrations of tamoxifen, anastrozole, and letrozole has been developed and fully validated according to guidelines for clinical and forensic toxicology. The validation criteria evaluated were selectivity, linearity, accuracy and precision, limit of quantification, recovery and matrix effects, sample stability, and carryover. The six-point calibration curves showed linearity over the range of concentrations from 25 to 500 ng/ml for tamoxifen, 5 to 200 ng/ml for anastrozole, and 10 to 300 ng/ml for letrozole. The intra- and inter-day precision and accuracies were always better than 15%. The validated procedure was successfully applied to a clinical study (Patient-Reported Outcomes in Breast Cancer Patients undergoing Endocrine Therapy, PRO-BETh). A major aim of PRO-BETh study is the comprehensive evaluation of adherence to treatment in pre- and post-menopausal women with breast cancer. Plasma samples of 310 breast cancer patients undergoing anti-estrogen therapy were analyzed. Eight samples did not contain a quantifiable amount of drug, strongly indicating non-adherence of the corresponding patients to adjuvant breast cancer treatment. Furthermore, plasma concentrations at the lower end of the observed plasma level distribution might represent a hint but not a confirmation for non-adherence in terms of non-daily and irregular intake of the prescribed drug.  相似文献

The fluorescence excitation spectrum of a single chromophore molecule in a photosynthetic pigment-protein complex is known to change in time at liquid helium temperature. The spectral change reflects a conformational change of the protein to which the chromophore binds. This work follows the temporal behavior of the spectrum of a single chromophore in the temperature range between 5 adn 18 K. The temperature dependence reveals two types of conformational change of the protein, i.e., thermally activated motions over a potential barrier of ca. 0.1 kJ/mol and temperature-independent motions of tunneling of a proton.  相似文献

An analysis of the shapes of the MOs obtained during a Born–Oppenheimer scan of the PE of ArH+ by MP4/6-311++G(3df,3dp) MO calculations, allows the successive disengagement of bonding orbitals to be determined. This clearly shows how the different MOs influence the vibrational–rotational properties of ArH+ and underlines the importance of the concept of orbital following for molecular spectroscopy and the understanding of chemical bonds in molecules. From this follows an explanation why the first excited state of ArH+ and the ground state of ArH are unstable.  相似文献

A European interlaboratory collaborative study was conducted to validate a method for the quantitative determination of lipophilic marine biotoxins based on high-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry. During this study, the diarrhetic shellfish poisoning toxins okadaic acid, dinophysis toxin1 and 2 including their esters, the azaspiracids 1-3, pectenotoxin2, and the yessotoxins were investigated at concentration levels near the limit of quantification and near the legal limit. Naturally contaminated blue mussels, both raw and cooked and spiked extracts of clams and oysters were studied and results were obtained for 16 test samples from 16 laboratories representing eight different countries. This article summarizes the study outcome concerning validation key parameters like specificity, linearity, limit of detection, accuracy/recovery, and precision. Further, influences of cooking of mussels before homogenization or hydrolysis on method robustness have been evaluated.  相似文献

A simple LC‐MS/MS method was developed and validated for the estimation of sarpogrelate in 50 µL of rat plasma. The analyte and internal standard (IS) were extracted from rat plasma by acetonitrile precipitation and they were separated on a reversed‐phase C8 column with gradient program. The MS acquisition was performed with multiple reaction monitoring mode using m/z 430.2 to m/z 135.0 for analyte and m/z 448.2 to m/z 285.3 for IS. The calibration curves were linear over the range of 1–1000 ng/mL with the correlation coefficient greater than 0.999. With dilution integrity up to 20‐fold, the upper limit of quantification was extendable up to 15,000 ng/mL. The method was successfully applied to the analysis of rat plasma samples after single dose oral administration of sarpogrelate at 5 mg/kg to rats for the determination of its pharmacokinetics. Following oral administration the maximum mean concentration in plasma (Cmax, 11514 ng/mL) was achieved at 0.25 h (Tmax) and the area under curve (AUC0–24) was 11051 ± 3315 ng h/mL. The half‐life (t1/2) and clearance (Cl) were 2.9 ± 1.1 h and 490 ± 171 mL/h/kg, respectively. We believe that development of a method in rodent plasma would facilitate the ease of adaptability of sarpogrelate in human plasma. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
