We derive the solution for a spherically symmetric string cloud configuration in a d-dimensional spacetime in the framework of f(R) theories of gravity. We also analyze some thermodynamic properties of the joint black hole-cloud of strings solution. For its Hawking temperature, we found that the dependence of the mass with the horizon is significantly different in both theories. For the interaction of a black hole with thermal radiation, we found that the shapes of the curves are similar, but shifted. Our analysis generalizes some known results in the literature.  相似文献

We generalize the f(R) type gravity models by assuming that the gravitational Lagrangian is given by an arbitrary function of the Ricci scalar R and of the matter Lagrangian L m . We obtain the gravitational field equations in the metric formalism, as well as the equations of motion for test particles, which follow from the covariant divergence of the energy-momentum tensor. The equations of motion for test particles can also be derived from a variational principle in the particular case in which the Lagrangian density of the matter is an arbitrary function of the energy density of the matter only. Generally, the motion is non-geodesic, and it takes place in the presence of an extra force orthogonal to the four-velocity. The Newtonian limit of the equation of motion is also considered, and a procedure for obtaining the energy-momentum tensor of the matter is presented. The gravitational field equations and the equations of motion for a particular model in which the action of the gravitational field has an exponential dependence on the standard general relativistic Hilbert–Einstein Lagrange density are also derived.  相似文献

Modified gravity is one of the most favorable candidates for explaining the current accelerating expansion of the Universe. In this regard, we study the viability of an alternative gravitational theory, namely $f(R,G)$ , by imposing energy conditions. We consider two forms of $f(R,G)$ , commonly discussed in the literature, which account for the stability of cosmological solutions. We construct the inequalities obtained by energy conditions and specifically apply the weak energy condition using the recent estimated values of the Hubble, deceleration, jerk and snap parameters to probe the viability of the above-mentioned forms of $f(R, G)$ .  相似文献

To explore possibilities of avoiding coincidence problem in $f(R)$ gravity we consider models in Einstein conformal frame which are equivalent to Einstein gravity with a minimally coupled scalar field. As the conformal factor determines the coupling term and hence the interaction between matter and dark energy, the function $f(R)$ can in principle be determined by choosing an appropriate function for the deceleration parameter only. Possible behavior of $f(R)$ to avoid coincidence problem are investigated in two such cases.  相似文献

We have studied the gravitational baryogenesis in f(R) theory of gravity with an anisotropic Bianchi I space-time. The matter field is considered to be that of perfect fluid. Two models pertaining to specific form of Ricci scalar have been presented. The baryon-to-entropy ratio has been derived with some specific form of Ricci scalar in an an anisotropic background. The gravitational baryogenesis is examined and its behaviors are studied.  相似文献

We study the existence and properties of wormhole throats in modified f (R) gravity theory. Specifically, we concentrate on the cases where the lapse is not necessarily constant, and hence are not limited to the zero tidal force scenarios. In the class of theories whose actions are generated by Lagrangians of the form f (R)?=?∑ α n ?R n we find parameters which allow for the existence of energy condition respecting throats, which do not exist in Einstein gravity. We also consider the effect of the modified action on the anisotropy of the models, and find that modified gravity can minimize the amount of anisotropy required to support the existence of a throat. In both these respects, the sector containing theories with positive n is more promising than the negative n sector in comparison to Einstein gravity alone, with large n being most favorable.  相似文献

We investigate the exact solutions of a Bianchi type-I space-time in the context of f(R, T) gravity [1], where f(R, T) is an arbitrary function of the Ricci scalar R and the trace of the energy-momentum tensor T. For this purpose, we find two exact solutions using the assumption of a constant deceleration parameter and the variation law of the Hubble parameter. The obtained solutions correspond to two different models of the Universe. The physical behavior of these models is also discussed.  相似文献

Recent advances in nuclear theory and new astrophysical observations have led to the need for specific theoretical models applicable to dense-matter physics phenomena. Quantum chromodynamics (QCD) predicts the existence of non-nucleonic degrees of freedom at high densities in neutron-star matter, such as quark matter. Within a confining quark matter model, which consists of homogeneous, neutral 3-flavor interacting quark matter with \begin{document}$ \mathcal{O}(m_s^4) $\end{document} corrections, we examine the structure of compact stars composed of a charged perfect fluid in the context of \begin{document}$ f(R,T) $\end{document} gravity. The system of differential equations describing the structure of charged compact stars has been derived and numerically solved for a gravity model with \begin{document}$ f(R,T)= R+ 2\beta T $\end{document}. For simplicity, we assumed that the charge density is proportional to the energy density, namely, \begin{document}$ \rho_{\rm ch} = \alpha \rho $\end{document}. It is demonstrated that the matter-geometry coupling constant β and charge parameter α affect the total gravitational mass and the radius of the star.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the modified Geodesic Deviation Equation (GDE) in the framework of f(R, T) theory of gravity where R and T are the curvature scalar and the trace of the energy-momentum tensor, respectively, using the FLRW background. In this way, we obtain the GR equivalent (GDE) in f(R, T) metric formalism. We also extend our work to the generalization of the Matting relation and perform the numerical analysis with GDE for null vector.  相似文献

The growth of matter perturbations in the f(R) model proposed by Starobinsky is studied in this paper. Three different parametric forms of the growth index are considered respectively, and constraints on the model are obtained at both the 1σ and 2σ confidence levels, by using the current observational data for the growth factor. It is found, for all the three parametric forms of the growth index examined, that the Starobinsky model is consistent with the observations only at the 2σ confidence level.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a theory of gravity called mimetic f(R, T) in the presence of swampland dS conjecture. For this purpose, we introduce several inflation solutions of the Hubble parameter H(N) from f(R, T) = R + δT gravity model, in which R is Ricci scalar, and T denotes the trace of the energy–momentum tensor. Also, δ and N are the free parameter and a number of e-fold, respectively. Then we calculate quantities such as potential, Lagrange multiplier, slow-roll, and some cosmological parameters such as ns and r. Then we challenge the mentioned inflationary model from the swampland dS conjecture. We discuss the stability of the model and investigate the compatibility or incompatibility of this inflationary scenario with the latest Planck observable data.  相似文献

In the context of f(R) theories of gravity, we address the problem of finding a rotating charged black hole solution in the case of constant curvature. A new metric is obtained by solving the field equations and we show that its behaviour is typical of a rotating charged source. In addition, we analyse the thermodynamics of the new black hole. The results ensure that the thermodynamical properties in f(R) gravities are qualitatively similar to those of standard General Relativity.  相似文献
