To protect copyrighted digital data against piracy, codes with different secure properties such as frameproof codes, secure frameproof codes, codes with identifiable parent property (IPP codes), traceability codes (TA codes) are introduced. In this paper, we study these codes together with related combinatorial objects called separating and perfect hash families. We introduce for the first time the notion of difference function families and use these difference function families to give generalized recursive techniques that can be used for any kind of secure codes and hash families. We show that some previous recursive techniques are special cases of these new techniques.  相似文献

We show that (n, 2 n ) additive codes over GF(4) can be represented as directed graphs. This generalizes earlier results on self-dual additive codes over GF(4), which correspond to undirected graphs. Graph representation reduces the complexity of code classification, and enables us to classify additive (n, 2 n ) codes over GF(4) of length up to 7. From this we also derive classifications of isodual and formally self-dual codes. We introduce new constructions of circulant and bordered circulant directed graph codes, and show that these codes will always be isodual. A computer search of all such codes of length up to 26 reveals that these constructions produce many codes of high minimum distance. In particular, we find new near-extremal formally self-dual codes of length 11 and 13, and isodual codes of length 24, 25, and 26 with better minimum distance than the best known self-dual codes.  相似文献

We investigate binary sequences which can be obtained by concatenating the columns of (0,1)-matrices derived from permutation sequences. We then prove that these binary sequences are subsets of a surprisingly diverse ensemble of codes, namely the Levenshtein codes, capable of correcting insertion/deletion errors; spectral null codes, with spectral nulls at certain frequencies; as well as being subsets of run-length limited codes, Nyquist null codes and constant weight codes. This paper was presented in part at the IEEE Information Theory Workshop, Chengdu, China, October, 2006.  相似文献

We determine the structure of cyclic codes over for arbitrary even length giving the generator polynomial for these codes. We determine the number of cyclic codes for a given length. We describe the duals of the cyclic codes, describe the form of cyclic codes that are self-dual and give the number of these codes. We end by examining specific cases of cyclic codes, giving all cyclic self-dual codes of length less than or equal to 14. We describe G-codes, which are codes that are ideals in a group ring, where the ring is a finite commutative Frobenius ring and G is an arbitrary finite group. We prove that the dual of a G-code is also a G-code. We give constructions of self-dual and formally self-dual codes in this setting and we improve the existing construction given in Hurley (Int J Pure Appl Math 31(3):319–335, 2006) by showing that one of the conditions given in the theorem is unnecessary and, moreover, it restricts the number of self-dual codes obtained by the construction. We show that several of the standard constructions of self-dual codes are found within our general framework. We prove that our constructed codes must have an automorphism group that contains G as a subgroup. We also prove that a common construction technique for producing self-dual codes cannot produce the putative [72, 36, 16] Type II code. Additionally, we show precisely which groups can be used to construct the extremal Type II codes over length 24 and 48. We define quasi-G codes and give a construction of these codes.  相似文献

We present a fast algorithm using Gröbner basis to compute the dimensions of subfield subcodes of Hermitian codes. With these algorithms we are able to compute the exact values of the dimension of all subfield subcodes up to q ≤  32 and length up to 215. We show that some of the subfield subcodes of Hermitian codes are at least as good as the previously known codes, and we show the existence of good long codes.  相似文献

We consider spherical codes attaining the Levenshtein upper bounds on the cardinality of codes with prescribed maximal inner product. We prove that the even Levenshtein bounds can be attained only by codes which are tight spherical designs. For every fixed n ≥ 5, there exist only a finite number of codes attaining the odd bounds. We derive different expressions for the distance distribution of a maximal code. As a by-product, we obtain a result about its inner products. We describe the parameters of those codes meeting the third Levenshtein bound, which have a regular simplex as a derived code. Finally, we discuss a connection between the maximal codes attaining the third bound and strongly regular graphs. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. J Combin Designs 7: 316–326, 1999  相似文献

We construct an infinite sequence of codes with related parity-check matrices. We show how to reduce the calculations of the weight distribution of the coset leaders for all these codes, to the calculation of finitely many numbers Flj. This method is applied in determining the weight distribution of the coset leaders for several classes of codes.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to construct nontrivial MDS self-dual codes over Galois rings. We consider a building-up construction of self-dual codes over Galois rings as a GF(q)-analogue of (Kim and Lee, J Combin Theory ser A, 105:79–95). We give a necessary and sufficient condition on which the building-up construction holds. We construct MDS self-dual codes of lengths up to 8 over GR(32,2), GR(33,2) and GR(34,2), and near-MDS self-dual codes of length 10 over these rings. In a similar manner, over GR(52,2), GR(53,2) and GR(72,2), we construct MDS self-dual codes of lengths up to 10 and near-MDS self-dual codes of length 12. Furthermore, over GR(112,2) we have MDS self-dual codes of lengths up to 12.   相似文献

We compute the parameters of the linear codes that are associated with higher dimensional projective embeddings of Grassmannian when the degree exceeds the number of elements of the finite field. We investigate various dimension formulas for the projective Reed-Müller codes. We show that the duals of higher Grassmann codes are given by higher Grassmann codes or their simple extensions.  相似文献

Algebraic geometric codes (or AG codes) provide a way to correct errors that occur during the transmission of digital information. AG codes on curves have been studied extensively, but much less work has been done for AG codes on higher dimensional varieties. In particular, we seek good bounds for the minimum distance. We study AG codes on anticanonical surfaces coming from blow-ups of P2 at points on a line and points on the union of two lines. We can compute the dimension of such codes exactly due to known results. For certain families of these codes, we prove an exact result on the minimum distance. For other families, we obtain lower bounds on the minimum distance.  相似文献

Affine-invariant codes are extended cyclic codes of length p m invariant under the affine-group acting on . This class of codes includes codes of great interest such as extended narrow-sense BCH codes. In recent papers, we classified the automorphism groups of affine-invariant codes berg, bech1. We derive here new results, especially when the alphabet field is an extension field, by expanding our previous tools. In particular we complete our results on BCH codes, giving the automorphism groups of extended narrow-sense BCH codes defined over any extension field.  相似文献

We present some results on almost maximum distance separable (AMDS) codes and Griesmer codes of dimension 4 over over the field of order 5. We prove that no AMDS code of length 13 and minimum distance 5 exists, and we give a classification of some AMDS codes. Moreover, we classify the projective strongly optimal Griesmer codes over F5 of dimension 4 for some values of the minimum distance.  相似文献

The determination of the weight distribution of linear codes has been a fascinating problem since the very beginning of coding theory. There has been a lot of research on weight enumerators of special cases, such as self-dual codes and codes with small Singleton's defect. We propose a new set of linear relations that must be satisfied by the coefficients of the weight distribution. From these relations we are able to derive known identities (in an easier way) for interesting cases, such as extremal codes, Hermitian codes, MDS and NMDS codes. Moreover, we are able to present for the first time the weight distribution of AMDS codes. We also discuss the link between our results and the Pless equations.  相似文献

In this paper1, we prove existence of optimal complementary dual codes (LCD codes) over large finite fields. We also give methods to generate orthogonal matrices over finite fields and then apply them to construct LCD codes. Construction methods include random sampling in the orthogonal group, code extension, matrix product codes and projection over a self-dual basis.  相似文献

We examine the p-ary linear codes from incidence matrices of the three uniform subset graphs with vertex set the set of subsets of size 3 of a set of size n, with adjacency defined by two vertices as 3-sets being adjacent if they have zero, one or two elements in common, respectively. All the main parameters of the codes and the nature of the minimum words are obtained, and it is shown that the codes can be used for full error-correction by permutation decoding. We examine also the binary codes of the line graphs of these graphs.  相似文献

Abstract

We discuss two distance concepts between q-ary n-sequences, 2 ≤ q < n, called partition distances. This distances are metrics in the space of all partitions of a finite n-set. For the metrics, we study codes called q-partition codes and present a construction of these codes based on the first order Reed–Muller codes. A random coding bound is obtained. We also work out an application of q-partition codes to the statistical analysis of psychological or medical tests using questionnaires.  相似文献

We classify up to equivalence all optimal binary self-dual [52, 26, 10] codes having an automorphism of order 3 with 10 fixed points. We achieve this using a method for constructing self-dual codes via an automorphism of odd prime order. We study also codes with an automorphism of order 3 with 4 fixed points. Some of the constructed codes have new values β = 8, 9, and 12 for the parameter in their weight enumerator.  相似文献
