Abstract
Cholesterol complexes with tri-n-butyl phosphate, tri-n-octylamine, N,N-dimethylacetamide, and cyclohexanone in benzene and toluene solutions were studied using conventional IR spectroscopy. The spectra were recorded in the region of fundamental OH stretching (3,700–3,100 cm−1) at 298 K. The experimental spectra were resolved into bands corresponding to the cholesterol monomer and particular oligomeric and complex species. The formation constants of complexes were determined from the-least squares plots of the linearized expressions of Bjerrum’s formation function. The stoichiometry of complexes was also identified in this way. The identification of the particular resolved bands was performed from their location, and from the dependence of their intensity on the cholesterol monomer and free base concentration. 相似文献2.

Abstract Electrochemical oxidation of 2,3-dimethylhydroquinone has been studied in the presence of β-diketones as nucleophiles in aqueous
solution using cyclic voltammetry and controlled-potential coulometry. The results indicate that the derivatives of 2,3-dimethylhydroquinone
participate in a Michael addition reaction to form the corresponding benzofuran derivatives. The electrochemical synthesis
has been successfully performed at pH 7.0 and E = 0.1 V versus an Ag|AgCl|KCl (3 M) in an undivided cell in good yield and purity.

Abstract New imidazo[4,5-a]acridone derivatives were synthesized from the rearrangement of 3H-imidazo[4′,5′:3,4]benzo[c]isoxazoles. New imidazo[4,5-a]acridines were obtained from the reaction of imidazo[4,5-a]acridones in boiling POCl3. All of these compounds exhibited antimicrobial activities comparable to streptomycin as reference drug.

Abstract Since the discovery of the spin transition phenomenon in tris(N,N-dialkyldithiocarbamato) iron(III) complexes [1], numerous investigations have been devoted to this field of molecular magnetism. The spin transition phenomenon is probably
the most spectacular example of bistability in molecular chemistry. However, it is a challenge to obtain spin transition materials
when working under ambient conditions (e.g. room temperature and pressure), which would be highly advantageous for potential
applications. So far, only some Fe(II) and Fe(III) molecular systems have shown temperature-induced spin transitions around
and even above room temperature. Within this review we discuss the characteristics of this class of bistable compounds in
detail and we try to draw more general conclusions regarding the integration, implementation and application of spin transition
compounds as switching elements in hybrid molecular devices.
