The theoretical study reported in the present work deals with chiral cyclic vinyl sulfilimines and their reactivity as dienophiles in [4 + 2] cycloaddition reactions, using B3LYP/6-31G(d)//AM1 and B3LYP/6-31G(d)//B3LYP/6-31G(d) model chemistries. Consideration of Lewis acid catalysis, illustrated by BF(3), decreases the activation energies of the cycloaddition process while the charge transfer from the diene to the sulfilimine is augmented. The [4 + 2] cycloaddition reactions of sulfilimines with both furan and cyclopentadiene occur in the gas phase with endo stereoselectivity, which is more pronounced with the latter diene. Endo-exo energy differences in the gas phase with the B3LYP/6-31+G(d)//B3LYP/6-31+G(d), B3LYP/6-31G(d)//B3LYP/6-31G(d), and B3LYP/6-31G(d)//AM1 model chemistries are almost the same. Solvent effects are responsible for the inversion of the stereoselectivity in the reactions of sulfilimines with furan because of the great difference in the dipole moments in endo and exo approaches.  相似文献

The B3LYP/6-31+G(d) molecular geometry optimized structures of 17 five-membered heterocycles were employed together with the gauge including atomic orbitals (GIAO) density functional theory (DFT) method at the B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p), B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) and B3LYP/6-311+G(2d,p) levels of theory for the calculation of proton and carbon chemicals shifts and coupling constants. The method of geometry optimization for pyrrole (1), N-methylpyrrole (2) and thiophene (7) using the larger 6-311++G(d,p) basis sets at the B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p), B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p), B3LYP/6-31+G(2d,p) and B3LYP/cc-pVTZ levels of theory gave little difference between calculated and experimental values of coupling constants. In general, the (1)H and 13C chemical shifts for all compounds are in good agreement with theoretical calculations using the smaller 6-31 basis set. The values of nJHH(n=3, 4, 5) and rmnJ(CH)(n=1, 2, 3, 4) were predicted well using the larger 6-31+G(d,p) and 6-311++G(d,p) basis sets and at the B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p), B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p), B3LYP/6-31+G(2d,2p) levels of theory. The computed atomic charges [Mülliken; Natural Bond Orbital Analysis (NBO); Merz-Kollman (MK); CHELP and CHELPG] for the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) geometry optimized structures of 1-17 were used to explore correlations with the experimental proton and carbon chemical shifts.  相似文献

The synthesis of alkoxycarbonyl-substituted bisaziridines with the two aziridine units connected by conjugated p-phenylene, partly conjugated 1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diyl, and nonconjugated 4,4'-methylenediphenyl linkers was developed. The reaction of azomethine ylides derived from the bisaziridines with fullerene C(60) was optimized and used for the stereoselective preparation of both the monoadducts (C(60)-linker-aziridine dicarboxylate), and the dumbbell bisadducts (C(60)-linker-C(60)). The reasons for the observed selectivity of the azomethine ylide formation and cycloaddition were theoretically studied at the DFT B3LYP/6-31G(d) level or at the ONIOM B3LYP/6-31G(d):B3LYP/STO-3G level for fullerene-containing molecules.  相似文献

A theoretical study of the structure and the vibrational spectra of the beta-carotene molecule and its derivatives capsanthin and capsorubin is carried out. We first investigate systematically the theoretical method which provides the best results for beta-carotene by performing ab initio calculations at the HF/6-31G(d), SVWN/6-31G(d), PBE0/6-31G(d), BLYP/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31G(d,p), B3LYP/6-311G(d), and B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) levels and by using previous theoretical results available in the literature obtained at the AM1 and BPW91/6-31G(d) levels. The influence of both the level of calculation and the size of the basis set used in the geometry optimization and in the determination of the IR and Raman spectra of this molecule is thus analyzed. It is confirmed that the hybrid functional B3LYP with the basis 6-31G(d) is the method that gives the best results as a whole. By use of this level of calculation, we next optimize the molecular geometries of related molecules of capsanthin and capsorubin, which to the best of our knowledge have only been studied at the semiempirical AM1 level. In addition we calculate the IR and Raman spectra of these molecules at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory. The results obtained for capsanthin show on the one hand that the double bond of the beta-ionone ring is outside the polyene chain plane, due to the repulsion between the hydrogen atoms of the ring methyl groups and the hydrogen atoms of the polyene chain, and on the other hand that the carbonyl double bond in the other headgroup is very close to planarity with the polyene chain, since in this case such a repulsion does not exist. For the molecule of capsorubin the two carbonyl groups also take the same coplanar orientation relative to the polyene chain. The IR and Raman spectra theoretically computed for these two molecules are finally compared with their experimental spectra and the vibrational normal modes of the main signals are interpreted.  相似文献

The GIAO (Gauge Including Atomic Orbitals) DFT (Density Functional Theory) method is applied at the B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-31+G(d), B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-31+G(d), B3LYP/6-311+G (2d,p)//B3LYP/6-31+G(d) and B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) levels of theory for the calculation of proton and carbon chemicals shifts and coupling constants for 25 nitro-substituted five-membered heterocycles. Difference (1D NOE) spectra in combination with long-range gHMBC experiments were used as tools for the structural elucidation of nitro-substituted five-membered heterocycles. The assigned NMR data (chemical shifts and coupling constants) for all compounds were found to be in good agreement with theoretical calculations using the GIAO DFT method. The magnitudes of one-bond (1JCH) and long-range (nJCH, n>1) coupling constants were utilized for unambiguous differentiation between regioisomers of nitro-substituted five-membered heterocycles.  相似文献

The cycloaddition of cyclopentyne with ethene was examined using (U)B3LYP and CASSCF methods to discern the reaction mechanism. (U)B3LYP/6-31G* and (U)B3LYP/6-311+G* slightly favor the concerted pathway, whereas CASSCF(4,4)/6-31G* and CASCF(6,6)/6-31G* favor the diradical pathway. MRMP2 using the CASSCF(4,4) wave function also favors the diradical mechanism. In the context of a diradical pathway, the experimentally observed complete retention of stereochemistry for this reaction is understood in terms of stereochemical control resulting from dynamic effects.  相似文献

A computational study of inclusion complexes of 2-methyl-βCD with Doxycycline tautomeric (enol and keto form) has been performed with several combinations of ONIOM hybrid calculations. The reliability of the ONIOM2 calculations at the integrated level, ONIOM2 (M05-2X/6-31G(d): M05-2X/3-21G*), ONIOM2 (M05-2X/6-31G(d):HF/3-21G*), ONIOM2 (B3LYP/6-31G(d):HF/3-21G*), ONIOM2 (B3LYP/6-31G(d):B3LYP/3-21G*) and ONIOM2 (B3PW91/6-31G(d):B3PW91/3-21G*) was examined. Their complexation, binding, deformation and stabilization energies, and geometrical data were compared with those of the target geometry structure optimized at the M05-2X/6-31G(d) level of theory. Mixed combinations ONIOM2 (M05-2X 6-31G(d):HF 3-21G*) and ONIOM2 (B3LYP 6-31G(d):HF 3-21G*) reproduces nearly the target geometry structure and provides realistic energetic results at a relatively low computational cost.  相似文献

The gallium chloride (GaCl(3))-catalyzed ring-closing metathesis reaction mechanism of N-2,3-butadienyl-2-propynyl-1-amine has been studied at the Becke three-parameter hybrid functional combined with Lee-Yang-Parr correlation functional (B3LYP)/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p), B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p)//B3LYP/ 6-31G(d) and the second-order M?ller-Plesset perturbation (MP2)/6-311++G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) levels. It was found that the final metathesis product can be yielded via a three-membered or four-membered ring mechanism. The three-membered ring pathway is favorable due to its low energy barrier at the rate determining step. The whole reaction is stepwise and strongly exothermic.  相似文献

The 2385 classical isomers and four nonclassical isomers of fullerene C62 have been studied by PM3, HCTH/3-21G//SVWN/STO-3G, B3LYP/6-31G(d)//HCTH/3-21G, and B3LYP/6-31G(d)//B3LYP/6-31G(d). The Cs:7mbr isomer, with a chain of four adjacent pentagons surrounding a heptagon, is predicted to be the most stable isomer, followed by C2v:4mbr which is 3.15 kcal/mol higher in energy. C2:0032 with three pairs of adjacent pentagons is the most stable isomer in the classical framework. To clarify the relative stabilities of C62 isomers at high temperatures, the entropy contributions are taken into account on the basis of the Gibbs energy at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level. Analyses reveal that Cs:7mbr prevails in a wide temperature range. The vibrational frequencies of the five most stable C62 fullerene isomers are also predicted at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level, and the simulated IR spectra show important differences in positions and intensities of the vibrational modes for different isomers. The nucleus-independent chemical shift and the density of states of the three most stable isomers show that the square in C2v:4mbr and the adjacent pentagons in Cs:7mbr and C2:0032 possess high chemical reactivity. In addition, the electronic spectra and second-order hyperpolarizabilities are determined by means of ZINDO and the sum-over-states mode. The intensity-dependent refractive index gamma(-omega; omega, omega, -omega) at omega = 2.3305 eV of Cs:7mbr is very large because of resonance with the external field. The second-order hyperpolarizabilities of the five most stable isomers of C62 are predicted to be larger than those of C60.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Neutral homoaromaticity has been evaluated in heterocyclic systems related to the bicyclo[3.2.1]octane skeleton with replacement of CH(2) at C-2 in bicyclo[3.2.1]octa-3,6-diene with X = BH, AlH, Be, Mg, O, S, PH, NH (12); replacement of CH at C-3 in bicyclo[3.2.1]octa-3,6-dien-2-yl anion with PH, S, NH, O (13); and replacement at C-2 and C-3 with N and O (14). Stabilization energies (SE) are evaluated using density functional theory and homodesmotic equations at the B3LYP/6-311+G(3df,2p)//B3LYP/6-31G(d) level for series 12-14. Stabilization energies are compared with diamagnetic susceptibility exaltations, Lambda, CSGT-B3LYP/6-31G(d)//B3LYP/6-31G(d), and nucleus-independent chemical shifts (NICS), GIAO-B3LYP/6-311+G(2d,p)//B3LYP/6-31G(d). Analysis of frontier orbitals and geometries, B3LYP/6-31G(d)//B3LYP/6-31G(d), and proton affinities of 2-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octa-3,6-diene, pyrrole, and related model systems, B3LYP/6-311+G(2d,2p)//B3LYP/6-31G(d), provide complementary evidence supporting the division of the substrates evaluated into antihomoaromatic (12, X = BH, AlH, and Be), nonhomoaromatic (12, X = O, S, NH, PH), and homoaromatic (13, X = S, PH, NH, O and 14 X = ON), with 12 (X = Mg) appearing as transitional between anti- and nonhomoaromatic.  相似文献

Several economical methods for geometry optimization, that should be applicable to larger molecules, have been evaluated for 19 phosphorus acid derivatives. MP2/cc-pVDZ geometry optimizations are used as reference points and the geometries obtained from the other methods are evaluated with respect to deviations in bond lengths and angles, from the reference geometries. The geometry optimization methods are also compared to the much used B3LYP/6-31G(d) method. Single point energies obtained by subsequent EDF1/6-31+G(d) or B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) calculations on the respective equilibrium geometries are also reported relative to the energies obtained from the reference geometries. The geometries from HF/MIDI! optimizations were closer to those of the references than the geometries of the HF/3-21G(d), HF/6-31G(d), and B3LYP/MIDI! optimizations. The EDF1/6-31+G(d) or B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) single point energies obtained from the HF/3-21G(d), HF/6-31G(d), and B3LYP/MIDI! geometries gave a mean absolute deviation (MAD) from that of the reference geometries of 1.4-3.9 kcal mol m 1 . The HF/MIDI! geometries, however, gave EDF1/6-31+G(d) and B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) energies with a MAD of only about 0.5 and 0.55 kcal mol m 1 respectively from the energies obtained with the reference geometries. Thus, use of HF/MIDI! for geometry optimization of phosphorus acids is a method that gives geometries of near-MP2 quality, resulting in a fair accuracy of energies in subsequent single point calculations, at a much lower computational cost other methods that give similar accuracies.  相似文献

The electronic mechanism for the gas-phase concerted 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of diazomethane (CH2N2) to ethene (C2H4) is described through spin-coupled (SC) calculations at a sequence of geometries along the intrinsic reaction coordinate obtained at the MP2/6-31G(d) level of theory. It is shown that the bonding rearrangements occurring during the course of this reaction follow a heterolytic pattern, characterized by the movement of three well-identifiable orbital pairs, which are initially responsible for the pi bond in ethene and the C-N pi bond and one of the N-N pi bonds in diazomethane and are retained throughout the entire reaction path from reactants to product. Taken together with our previous SC study of the electronic mechanism of the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of fulminic acid (HCNO) to ethyne (C2H2) (Theor. Chim. Acc. 1998, 100, 222), the results of the present work suggest strongly that most gas-phase concerted 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions can be expected to follow a heterolytic mechanism of this type, which does not involve an aromatic transition state. The more conventional aspects of the gas-phase concerted 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of diazomethane to ethene, including optimized transition structure geometry, electronic activation energy, activation barrier corrected for zero-point energies, standard enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs free energy of activation, have been calculated at the HF/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31G(d), MP2/6-31G(d), MP2/6-31G(d,p), QCISD/6-31G(d) and CCD/6-31G(d) levels of theory. We also report the CCD/6-311++G(2d, 2p)//CCD/6-31G(d), MP4(SDTQ)/6-311++G(2d,2p)//CCD/6-31G(d) and CCSD(T)/6-311++G(2d, 2p)//CCD/6-31G(d) electronic activation energies.  相似文献

The multidimensional Conformational Potential Energy Hypersurface (PEHS) of cyclotrisarcosyl was comprehensively investigated at the DFT (B3LYP/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) and B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p)), levels of theory. The equilibrium structures, their relative stability, and the Transition State (TS) structures involved in the conformational interconversion pathways were analyzed. Aug-cc-pVTZ//B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) and MP2/6-31G(d)//B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) single point calculations predict a symmetric cis-cis-cis crown conformation as the energetically preferred form for this compound, which is in agreement with the experimental data. The conformational interconversion between the global minimum and the twist form requires 20.88 kcal mol-1 at the MP2/6-31G(d)//B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level of theory. Our results allow us to form a concise idea about the internal intricacies of the PEHSs of this cyclic tripeptide, describing the conformations as well as the conformational interconversion processes in this hypersurface. In addition, a comparative analysis between the conformational behaviors of cyclotrisarcosyl with that previously reported for cyclotriglycine was carried out  相似文献

The condensation of benzaldehyde, urea, and ethyl acetoacetate according to the procedure described by Biginelli was investigated at the B3LYP/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31 +G(d,p), and B3LYP/6-311+G(3df,2p)//B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) levels to explore the reaction mechanism. According to the mechanism proposed by Kappe, structures of five intermediates were optimized and four transition states were found. The calculation results proved that the mechanism proposed by Kappe is right.  相似文献

Quantum-chemical simulation of the ground state [the density function B3LYP/6-31G, B3LYP/6-31G(d), and B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) and the perturbation theory MP2/6-31G(d) methods] and the transition states [the B3LYP/6-31G(d) method] of 4,4′-methoxypropylstilbene molecule has been performed. Using the Ellinger MM2 force field method, the potentials of internal rotation have been obtained for each rotational degree of freedom of the molecule. The B3LYP simulation has revealed the planarity of the conjugated system and the orthogonal position of the alkyl substituent, whereas the benzene rings have deviated by about 20° with respect to the double bond plane according to the MP2 data. Three transition states of the molecule corresponding to the saddle points of the first and the second orders have been revealed. The stationary points have been identified by means of vibrational analysis.  相似文献

Transition structures of the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of substituted nitrile oxides with chiral homoallylic alcohols were explored with density functional theory (B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p)+CPCM(dichloromethane)//B3LYP/6-31+G(d)). The diastereoselectivity observed in these reactions was explained. The anti product is favored in both the thermal and magnesium-mediated reactions. Selectivity is predicted to increase in the presence of magnesium, in agreement with experimental results. 运用B3LYP/6-31G(d)密度泛函理论(DFT)方法对苯并氧化呋咱、邻二亚硝基苯及其间的异构化反应进行了计算研究。结果表明,苯并氧化呋咱的分子总能量比邻二亚硝基苯的低;由苯并氧化呋咱异构为邻二亚硝基苯的正向反应活化能(Ea+=51.0kJ/mol),与文献实测值(58.6kJ/mol)较接近,而其逆向反应活化能(Ea-=4.6kJ/mol)很小,从而揭示了苯并氧化呋咱比邻二亚硝基苯更稳定·此外,进行了HF/3-21G、HF/6-31G(d)和MP2/6-31G(d)//6-31G(d)水平下相应的计算,发现B3LYP-DFT的结果较abinitio为优。谐振动频率的B3LYP/6-31G(d)计算还支持了邻二亚硝基苯为苯并氧化呋咱“自-自”互变重排反应的中间体。  相似文献

Dopamine (DA) can be oxidized to dopamine quinone (DAquinone) through a one-step, two-electron redox reaction. The electron transfer property of DA and its supramolecular complex with aspartic acid (Asp) has been investigated by the theoretical calculations. We calculated the standard redox potentials (E o) of DA/DAquinone at the MP2/6-31G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-31G(d,p), MP2/6-31+G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p), MP2/6-31G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-311G(d,p), and MP2/6-311+G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) levels. Comparing the experimental value, the redox potentials of DA/DAquinone obtained at MP2//B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) and MP2//B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) levels can be considered as the upper and lower estimates. DA can form supramolecular complex (DA-Asp) with Asp through hydrogen bond (H-bond). Therefore, the values of 0.631 and 0.628 V obtained at MP2//B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) and MP2//B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) levels for DA-Asp/DAquinone-Asp can be proposed as the upper and lower estimates of a probable (about 0.630 V) value of the corresponding redox potential. The calculated E o values of DA-Asp/DAquinone-Asp at the four theoretical levels are upper than those of DA/DAquinone, which indicates that the formation of H-bonds weaken the electron-donating ability of DA.  相似文献

The FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of m-Xylol molecule have been recorded using Bruker IFS 66V spectrometer in the range 4000-100cm(-1). The molecular geometry and vibrational frequencies in the ground state are evaluated using the Hartree-fock (HF) and B3LYP with 6-31+G (d, p), 6-31++G (d, p) and 6-311++G (d, p) basis sets. The computed frequencies are scaled using a suitable scale factors to yield good agreement with the observed values. The HF and DFT analysis agree well with experimental observations. Comparison of the fundamental vibrational frequencies with calculated results by HF and B3LYP methods indicate that B3LYP/6-311++G (d, p) is superior to HF/6-31+G (d, p) for molecular vibrational problems. The complete data of this title compound provide some useful information for the study of substituted benzenes. The influences of Methyl groups on the geometry of benzene and its normal modes of vibrations have also been discussed.  相似文献
