We study the periodic problem for differential inclusions in R~N.First we look for extremal periodicsolutions.Using techniques from multivalued analysis and a fixed point argument we establish an existencetheorem under some general hypotheses.We also consider the“nonconvex periodic problem”under lowersemicontinuity hypotheses,and the“convex periodic problem”under general upper semicontinuity hypotheseson the multivalued vector field.For both problems,we prove existence theorems under very general hypotheses.Our approach extends existing results in the literature and appear to be the most general results on the nonconvexperiodic problem.  相似文献

The central problem in dynamical systems is the asymptotic behavior or topological structure of the orbits. Nevertheless only orbits of points with certain recurrence and form a set of full measure are truly of importance. Of course, such a set is desired to be as small (in the sense of set inclusion) as possible. In this paper we discuss such two sets: the set of weakly almost periodic points and the set of quasi-weakly almost periodic points. While the two sets are different from each other by definitions, we prove that their closures both coincide with the measure center (or the minimal center of attraction) of the dynamical systems. Generally, a point may have three levels of orbit-structure: the support of an invariant measure generated by the point, its minimal center of attraction and its ω-limit set. We study the three levels of orbit-structure for weakly almost periodic points and quasi-weakly almost periodic points. We prove that quasi-weakly almost periodic points possess especially rich topological orbit-structures. We also present a necessary and sufficient condition for a point to belong to its own minimal center of attraction.  相似文献

This paper examines some probabilistic properties of a class of models featuring periodicity in conditional heteroskedasticity (we refer to it as the periodic GARCH process (PGARCH)). In these models, the parameters are allowed to switch between different regimes. The periodic structure in a GARCH process shares many properties with periodic ARMA process (PARMA). We examine the strict and second order periodic stationarities, the existence of higher-order moments, the covariance structure, the geometric ergodicity and β-mixing of the PGARCH(p, q) process under general and tractable assumptions. Some examples are proposed to illustrate the various concepts.   相似文献

In the space L2 of periodic functions, we establish exact (in the sense of constants) estimates from below for the deviation of the Steklov functions of the first and second order in terms of the modulus of continuity of the second order. We consider a symbolic coding of bi-infinite non periodic geodesics on the L-shaped translation surface tiled by three squares. Each bi-infinite non periodic geodesic is associated with a cutting sequence corresponding to the sequence of labeled saddle connections hit. We prove that there is a relationship between the cutting sequences and the actions of some affine automorphisms of the translation surface. We also get an explicit formula to determine the direction of a bi-infinite non periodic geodesic by using the corresponding cutting sequence.  相似文献

We study the existence and stability of standing waves for the periodic cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a point defect determined by the periodic Dirac distribution at the origin. We show that this model admits a smooth curve of periodic‐peak standing wave solutions with a profile determined by the Jacobi elliptic function of cnoidal type. Via a perturbation method and continuation argument, we obtain that in the repulsive defect, the cnoidal‐peak standing wave solutions are unstable in $H^1_{per}$ with respect to perturbations which have the same period as the wave itself. Global well‐posedness is verified for the Cauchy problem in $H^1_{per}$ .  相似文献

The minimal projective bimodule resolution for a certain family of representation-finite self-injective algebras of tree class D n is constructed. The dimensions of the groups of Hochschild cohomology for the algebras under consideration are calculated by the instrumentality of this resolution. We prove a Lipschitz type summation formula with periodic coefficients. Using this formula, representations of the values at positive integers of Dirichlet L-functions with periodic coefficients are obtained in terms of Bernoulli numbers and certain sums involving essentially the discrete Fourier transform of the periodic function forming the coefficients. The non-vanishing of these L-functions at s = 1 are then investigated. There are additional applications to the Fourier expansions of Eisenstein series over congruence subgroups of \({SL_2(\mathbb{Z})}\) and derivatives of such Eisenstein series. Examples of a family of Eisenstein series with a high frequency of vanishing Fourier coefficients are given.  相似文献

Spectrum of the second-order differential operator with periodic point interactions in L2(R) is investigated. Classes of unitary equivalent operators of this type are described. Spectral asymptotics for the whole family of periodic operators are calculated. It is proven that the first several terms in the asymptotics determine the class of equivalent operators uniquely. It is proven that the spectrum of the operators with anomalous spectral asymptotics (when the ratio between the lengths of the bands and gaps tends to zero at infinity) can be approximated by standard periodic “weighted” operators with step-wise density functions. It is shown that this sequence of periodic weighted operators converges in the norm resolvent sense to the formal (generalized) resolvent of the periodic “Schrödinger operator” with certain energy-dependent boundary conditions. The operator acting in an extended Hilbert space such that its resolvent restricted to L2(R) coincides with the formal resolvent is constructed explicitly.  相似文献

The main result of the paper concerns the existence of nontrivial exponentially decaying solutions to periodic stationary discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equations with saturable nonlinearities, provided that zero belongs to a spectral gap of the linear part. The proof is based on the critical point theory in combination with periodic approximations of solutions. As a preliminary step, we prove also the existence of nontrivial periodic solutions with arbitrarily large periods.  相似文献

A numerical method is proposed for computing time‐periodic and relative time‐periodic solutions in dissipative wave systems. In such solutions, the temporal period, and possibly other additional internal parameters such as the propagation constant, are unknown priori and need to be determined along with the solution itself. The main idea of the method is to first express those unknown parameters in terms of the solution through quasi‐Rayleigh quotients, so that the resulting integrodifferential equation is for the time‐periodic solution only. Then this equation is computed in the combined spatiotemporal domain as a boundary value problem by Newton‐conjugate‐gradient iterations. The proposed method applies to both stable and unstable time‐periodic solutions; its numerical accuracy is spectral; it is fast‐converging; its memory use is minimal; and its coding is short and simple. As numerical examples, this method is applied to the Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation and the cubic‐quintic Ginzburg–Landau equation, whose time‐periodic or relative time‐periodic solutions with spatially periodic or spatially localized profiles are computed. This method also applies to systems of ordinary differential equations, as is illustrated by its simple computation of periodic orbits in the Lorenz equations. MATLAB codes for all numerical examples are provided in the Appendices to illustrate the simple implementation of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this article, Riemann‐type boundary‐value problem of single‐periodic polyanalytic functions has been investigated. By the decomposition of single‐periodic polyanalytic functions, the problem is transformed into n equivalent and independent Riemann boundary‐value problems of single‐periodic analytic functions, which has been discussed in details according to two growth orders of functions. Finally, we obtain the explicit expression of the solution and the conditions of solvability for Riemann problem of the single‐periodic polyanalytic functions.  相似文献

Sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of a globally attracting positive periodic solution of the logistic integrodifferential equation where a, b are continuous positive periodic functions and K is a nonnegative integrable function defined on {0, ∞). This Note studies asymptotic influence of mean-correction on the parameter least squares estimation for a periodic AR(1) model. Unlike the stationary ARMA case, we show that fitting a periodic ARMA model with intercepts to the observed series can provide substantial gains in terms of asymptotic accuracy for the parameter least squares estimators compared with fitting a periodic ARMA model without intercepts to the mean-corrected series. In this paper, we show the existence and uniqueness results for periodic solutions of Weyl fractional order integral systems. A numerical example is given to illustrate our theoretical results. We establish uniform Lipschitz estimates for second‐order elliptic systems in divergence form with rapidly oscillating, almost‐periodic coefficients. We give interior estimates as well as estimates up to the boundary in bounded C1,α domains with either Dirichlet or Neumann data. The main results extend those in the periodic setting due to Avellaneda and Lin for interior and Dirichlet boundary estimates and later Kenig, Lin, and Shen for the Neumann boundary conditions. In contrast to these papers, our arguments are constructive (and thus the constants are in principle computable) and the results for the Neumann conditions are new even in the periodic setting, since we can treat nonsymmetric coefficients.
