In the series of diaminoenones, large high‐frequency shifts of the 1H NMR of the N? H group in the cis‐position relative to the carbonyl group suggests strong N? H···O intramolecular hydrogen bonding comprising a six‐membered chelate ring. The N? H···O hydrogen bond causes an increase of the 1J(N,H) coupling constant by 2–4 Hz and high‐frequency shift of the 15N signal by 9–10 ppm despite of the lengthening of the relevant N? H bond. These experimental trends are substantiated by gauge‐independent atomic orbital and density functional theory calculations of the shielding and coupling constants in the 3,3‐bis(isopropylamino)‐1‐(aryl)prop‐2‐en‐1‐one (12) for conformations with the Z‐ and E‐orientations of the carbonyl group relative to the N? H group. The effects of the N? H···O hydrogen‐bond on the NMR parameters are analyzed with the atoms‐in‐molecules (AIM) and natural bond orbital (NBO) methods. The AIM method indicates a weakening of the N? H···O hydrogen bond as compared with that of 1,1‐di(pyrrol‐2‐yl)‐2‐formylethene (13) where N? H···O hydrogen bridge establishes a seven‐membered chelate ring, and the corresponding 1J(N,H) coupling constant decreases. The NBO method reveals that the LP(O) →σ*N? H hyperconjugative interaction is weakened on going from the six‐membered chelate ring to the seven‐membered one due to a more bent hydrogen bond in the former case. A dominating effect of the N? H bond rehybridization, owing to an electrostatic term in the hydrogen bonding, seems to provide an increase of the 1J(N,H) value as a consequence of the N? H···O hydrogen bonding in the studied diaminoenones. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Ab initio EOM‐CCSD calculations were performed to determine 19F,1H, 19F,15N and 1H,15N spin–spin coupling constants in model complexes FH–NH3 and FH–pyridine as a function of the F—H and F—N distances. The absolute value of 1J(F,H) decreases and that of 1hJ(H,N) increases rapidly along the proton‐transfer coordinate, even in the region of the proton‐shared F—H—N hydrogen bond. In contrast, 2hJ(F,N) remains essentially constant in this region. These results are consistent with the recently reported experimental NMR spectra of FH–collidine which show that 1hJ(H,N) increases and 1J(F,H) decreases, while 2hJ(F,N) remains constant as the temperature of the solution decreases. They suggest that the FH–collidine complex is stabilized by a proton‐shared hydrogen bond over the range of experimental temperatures investigated, being on the traditional side of quasi‐symmetric at high temperatures, and on the ion‐pair side at low temperatures. The 1H, 13C and 15N NMR studies have shown that the E and Z isomers of pyrrole‐2‐carbaldehyde oxime adopt preferable conformation with the syn orientation of the oxime group with respect to the pyrrole ring. The syn conformation of E and Z isomers of pyrrole‐2‐carbaldehyde oxime is stabilized by the N? H···N and N? H···O intramolecular hydrogen bonds, respectively. The N? H···N hydrogen bond in the E isomer causes the high‐frequency shift of the bridge proton signal by about 1 ppm and increase the 1J(N, H) coupling by ~3 Hz. The bridge proton shows further deshielding and higher increase of the 1J(N, H) coupling constant due to the strengthening of the N? H···O hydrogen bond in the Z isomer. The MP2 calculations indicate that the syn conformation of E and Z isomers is by ~3.5 kcal/mol energetically less favorable than the anti conformation. The calculations of 1H shielding and 1J(N, H) coupling in the syn and anti conformations allow the contribution to these constants from the N? H···N and N? H···O hydrogen bondings to be estimated. The NBO analysis suggests that the N? H···N hydrogen bond in the E isomer is a pure electrostatic interaction while the charge transfer from the oxygen lone pair to the antibonding orbital of the N? H bond through the N? H···O hydrogen bond occurs in the Z isomer. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Calculations of 1 JNH, 1h JNH and 2h JNN spin–spin coupling constants of 27 complexes presenting N–H·N hydrogen bonds have allowed to analyze these through hydrogen‐bond coupling as a function of the hybridization of both nitrogen atoms and the charge (+1, 0, ? 1) of the complex. The main conclusions are that the hybridization of N atom of the hydrogen bond donor is much more important than that of the hydrogen bond acceptor. Positive and negative charges (cationic and anionic complexes) exert opposite effects while the effect of the transition states ‘proton‐in‐the‐middle’ is considerable. Flavonoids are useful compounds in medicinal chemistry and exhibit conformational isomerism, which is ruled by intramolecular interactions. One of the main intramolecular forces governing the stability of conformations is the hydrogen bond. Hydrogen bond involving fluorine covalently bonded to carbon has been found to be rare, but it appears in 2′‐fluoroflavonol, although the F···HO hydrogen bond cannot be considered the main effect governing the conformational stability of this compound. Because 19F is magnetically active and suitable for NMR studies, the 1hJF,H(O) coupling constant can be used as a probe for such an interaction in 2′‐fluoroflavonol. In fact, the 1hJF,H(O) coupling was computationally analyzed in this work, and the F···HO hydrogen bond was found to be its main transmission mechanism, which modulates this coupling in 2′‐fluoroflavonol, rather than overlap of proximate electronic clouds, such as in 2‐fluorophenol. According to the 1H, 13C and 15N NMR spectroscopic data and DFT calculations, the E‐isomer of 1‐vinylpyrrole‐2‐carbaldehyde adopts preferable conformation with the anti‐orientation of the vinyl group relative to the carbaldehyde oxime group and with the syn‐arrangement of the carbaldehyde oxime group with reference to the pyrrole ring. This conformation is stabilized by the C? H···N intramolecular hydrogen bond between the α‐hydrogen of the vinyl group and the oxime group nitrogen, which causes a pronounced high‐frequency shift of the α‐hydrogen signal in 1H NMR (~0.5 ppm) and an increase in the corresponding one‐bond 13C–1H coupling constant (ca 4 Hz). In the Z‐isomer, the carbaldehyde oxime group turns to the anti‐position with respect to the pyrrole ring. The C? H···O intramolecular hydrogen bond between the H‐3 hydrogen of the pyrrole ring and the oxime group oxygen is realized in this case. Due to such hydrogen bonding, the H‐3 hydrogen resonance is shifted to a higher frequency by about 1 ppm and the one‐bond 13C–1H coupling constant for this proton increases by ~5 Hz. In the 13C NMR spectra of methylglyoxal bisdimethylhydrazone, the 13C‐5 signal is shifted to higher frequencies, while the 13C‐6 signal is shifted to lower frequencies on going from the EE to ZE isomer following the trend found previously. Surprisingly, the 1H‐6 chemical shift and 1J(C‐6,H‐6) coupling constant are noticeably larger in the ZE isomer than in the EE isomer, although the configuration around the –CH═N– bond does not change. This paradox can be rationalized by the C–H?N intramolecular hydrogen bond in the ZE isomer, which is found from the quantum‐chemical calculations including Bader's quantum theory of atoms in molecules analysis. This hydrogen bond results in the increase of δ(1H‐6) and 1J(C‐6,H‐6) parameters. The effect of the C–H?N hydrogen bond on the 1H shielding and one‐bond 13C–1H coupling complicates the configurational assignment of the considered compound because of these spectral parameters. The 1H, 13C and 15N chemical shifts of the 2‐ and 8‐(CH3)2N groups attached to the –C(CH3)═N– and –CH═N– moieties, respectively, reveal pronounced difference. The ab initio calculations show that the 8‐(CH3)2N group conjugate effectively with the π‐framework, and the 2‐(CH3)2N group twisted out from the plane of the backbone and loses conjugation. As a result, the degree of charge transfer from the N‐2– and N‐8– nitrogen lone pairs to the π‐framework varies, which affects the 1H, 13C and 15N shieldings. Internucleotide 2hJNN spin‐spin couplings and chemical shifts (δ(1H) and Δδ(15N)) of N? H···N H‐bond units in the natural and radiation‐damaged G‐C base pairs were predicted using the appropriate density functional theory calculations with a large basis set. Four possible series of the damaged G‐C pairs (viz., dehydrogenated and deprotonated G‐C pairs, GC?? and GC?+ radicals) were discussed carefully in this work. Computational NMR results show that radicalization and anionization of the base pairs can yield strong effect on their 2hJNN spin scalar coupling constants and the corresponding chemical shifts. Thus, variations of the NMR parameters associated with the N? H···N H‐bonds may be taken as an important criterion for prejudging whether the natural G‐C pair is radiation‐damaged or not. Analysis shows that 2hJNN couplings are strongly interrelated with the energy gaps (ΔELPσ*) and the second‐order interaction energies (E(2)) between the donor N lone‐pair (LPN) and the acceptor σ*N? H localized NBO orbitals, and also are sensitive to the electron density distributions over the σ*(N? H) orbital, indicating that 2hJNN couplings across the N? H···N H‐bonds are charge‐transfer‐controlled. This is well supported by variation of the electrostatic potential surfaces and corresponding charge transfer amount between G and C moieties. It should be noted that although the NMR spectra for the damaged G‐C pair radicals are unavailable now and the states of the radicals are usually detected by the electron spin resonance, this study provides a correlation of the properties of the damaged DNA species with some of the electronic parameters associated with the NMR spectra for the understanding of the different state character of the damaged DNA bases. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Properties of dimethyl 3‐(alkylamino)‐5,10‐dioxo‐5,10‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrazolo[1,2‐b]phthalazine‐1,2‐dicarboxylate and its derivatives were studied by means of ab initio method. NO2 derivative of title compound was synthesized and the nature of its intramolecular hydrogen bond (HB) was investigated. Furthermore, the topological properties of the electron density distributions for N? H···O intramolecular bridges were analyzed in terms of the Bader theory of atoms in molecules (AIM). The electron density (ρ) and Laplacian (?2ρ) properties, estimated by AIM calculations, indicated that O···H bond possesses low ρ and positive ?2ρ values which are in agreement with electrostatic character of the HBs, whereas N? H bonds have covalent character (?2ρ<0). Moreover, steric effect of the t‐Bu group on structure and topological parameters of pyrazolo[1,2‐b]phthalazine conformers was studied. Finally, the powerful method of Espinosa was used to obtain the H‐bond energy.  相似文献

It is demonstrated that in all types of hydrogen bonds (X—H…Y) there is a balance between the long-range attractive orbital interactions and short-range Pauli/nucleus repulsions. When the proton acceptor approaches the proton donor from distance, the hydrogen bonding energy becomes more negative at relatively large distance, goes through a minimum, and then starts to become less negative when the short-range repulsive forces come into effect.Meanwhile, the X--H bond length increases at relatively large distances, goes through a maximum and starts to shorten when the short-range repulsive forces come into effect. Whether the hydrogen bond is red or blue shifted is dictated by the energy minimum position. If at the energy minimum position the X—H bond length is shorter than that for the free monomer, the hydrogen bond is blue shifted and vice versa. Further studies demonstrate that the recent report about the correlation of C—H bond lengths with proton donor-acceptor distance in F3C—H…OH2 and F3C—H…Cl^- is not fully correct because the authors conducted an inappropriate comparison. Furthermore, it is shown for the first time that the Pauli/nucleus repulsion theory is applicable to the blue-shifted hydrogen bonds in the X—H…π complexes and the blue-shifted lithium bonds in the X—Li…Y complexes.  相似文献

A theoretical study of the C?H···N hydrogen bond in the interactions of trihalomethanes CHX3 (X = F, Cl, Br) with ammonia and its halogen derivatives NH2Y (Y = F, Cl, Br) has been carried out thoroughly. The complexes are quite stable, and their stability increases in going from CHF3 to CHCl3 then to CHBr3 when Y keeps unchanged. With the same CHX3 proton donor, enhancement of the gas phase basicity of NH2Y strengthens stability of the CHX3···NH2Y complex. The C?H···N hydrogen bond strength is directly proportional to the increase of proton affinity (PA) at N site of NH2Y and the decrease of deprotonation enthalpy (DPE) of C?H bond in CHX3. The CHF3 primarily appears to favor blue shift while the red‐shift is referred to the CHBr3. The blue‐ or red‐shift of CHCl3 strongly depends on PA at N site of NH2Y. We suggest the ratio of DPE/PA as a factor to predict which type of hydrogen bond is observed upon complexation. The SAPT2+ results show that all C?H···N interactions in the complexes are electrostatically driven regardless of the type of hydrogen bond, between 48% and 61% of the total attractive energy, and partly contributed by both induction and dispersion energies.  相似文献

The RAHB systems in malonaldehyde and its derivatives at MP2/ 6‐311++G(d,p) level of theory were studied and their intramolecular hydrogen bond energies by using the related rotamers method was obtained. The topological properties of electron density distribution in O? H···O intramolecular hydrogen bond have been analyzed in term of quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM). Correlations between the H‐bond strength and topological parameters are probed. The results of QTAIM clearly showed that the linear correlation between the electron density distribution at HB critical point and RAHB ring critical point with the corresponding hydrogen bond energies was obtained. Moreover, it was found a linear correlation between the electronic potential energy density, V(rcp), and hydrogen bond energy which can be used as a simple equation for evaluation of HB energy in complex RAHB systems. Finally, the similar linear treatment between the geometrical parameters, such as O···O or O? H distance, and Lp(O)→σ*OH charge transfer energy with the intramolecular hydrogen bond energy is observed. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc., Int J Quantum Chem, 2011  相似文献

Proton transfer in hydrogen‐bonded organic co‐crystals of chloranilic acid with some organic bases was investigated by nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) spectroscopy. The 35Cl NQR frequencies of chloranilic acid molecule as well as 14N NQR frequencies of the organic base molecule were measured with the conventional pulse methods as well as double‐resonance methods, respectively. The extent of proton transfer in the O···H···N hydrogen bond was estimated from Townes–Dailey analysis of the 14N NQR parameters. The 35Cl NQR frequency and molecular geometry of chloranilic acid are correlated to the extent of proton transfer in the protonation process of the organic base molecule. It is shown that the hydrogen bond affects the π‐electron system of chloranilic acid. Geometry dependence of the O···H···N hydrogen bond, i.e. the H? N valence bond order versus the hydrogen‐bond geometry correlation is also discussed. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this article, the geometry structures of hydrogen bond chains of formamide and N‐methylacetamide and their hydrogen‐bonded complexes with water were optimized at the MP2/6‐31G* level. Then, we performed Møller–Plesset perturbation method with 6‐311++g**, aug‐cc‐pvtz basis sets to study the cooperative influence to the total hydrogen bond energy by the N? H ··· OH2 and C?O ··· HOH hydrogen bonds. On the basis of our results, we found that the cooperativity of the hydrogen‐bonded complexes become weaker as N? H ··· OH2 and C?O ··· HOH hydrogen bonds replacing N? H ··· O?C hydrogen bonds in protein and peptide. It means that the N? H and C?O bonds in peptide prefer to form N? H ··· O?C hydrogen bond rather than to form C?O ··· HOH and N? H ··· OH2. It is significant for understanding the structures and properties of the helical or sheet structures of protein and peptide in biological systems. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A theoretical study on the blue-shifted H-bond N-H…O and red-shifted H-bond O-H…O in the complexHNO…H_2O_2 was conducted by employment of both standard and counterpoise-corrected methods to calculate thegeometric structures and vibrational frequencies at the MP2/6-31G(d),MP2/6-31 G(d,p),MP2/6-311 q G(d,p),B3LYP/6-31G(d),B3LYP/6-31 G(d,p) and B3LYP/6-311 G(d,p) levels. In the H-bond N-H…O,the calcu-lated blue shift of N-H stretching frequency is in the vicinity of 120 cm~(-1) and this is indeed the largest theoreticalestimate of a blue shift in the X-H…Y H-bond ever reported in the literature. From the natural bond orbital analy-sis,the red-shifted H-bond O-H…O can be explained on the basis of the dominant role of the hyperconjugation. For the blue-shifted H-bond N-H…O,the hyperconjugation was inhibited due to the existence of significant elec-tron density redistribution effect, and the large blue shift of the N-H stretching frequency was prominently due tothe rehybridization of sp~n N-H hybrid orbital.  相似文献

The occurrence of bifurcate H‐bonds CAr–H···O=C in the structure of (diaryl)‐tetrahydrofuranones was experimentally demonstrated using different methods and techniques. The consistent increasing spin–spin coupling constants 1J(C,H) of the ortho‐H‐atoms and low‐field shift of vC=O in IR spectra of 2,2‐(diaryl)tetrahydrofuran‐3(2H)‐ones relative to their 5,5‐diaryl counterparts, as well as pronounced dependence of the ortho‐C–H H‐atoms chemical shifts on the temperature and solvent polarity along with X‐ray diffraction analysis data unambiguously point to the existence of weak CAr–H···O=C H‐bonds in these molecules.  相似文献

The title complex {[Co(dimb)2(H2O)2]·(NO3)2·(H2O)2}n ( 1 ) (dimb = 1,3‐di(imidazol‐1‐ylmethyl)‐5‐methylbenzene) has been hydrothermally synthesized by the reaction of dimb with Co(NO3)2·6H2O in aqueous solution. The cobalt(II) atoms are linked by bridging dimb ligands to form 2D corrugated and wavy networks containing Co4(dimb)4 macrocyclic motifs. Two neighboring independent layers interlinked each other in a parallel fashion to construct three‐dimensional structure by O–H···O, N–H···O and C–H···O hydrogen bonds. Magnetic measurement shows the weak antiferromagnetic interaction with a one‐dimensional chain model in the range of 5–300 K, with J of –0.68 cm−1.  相似文献
