We characterize the convergence of the series ∑ λ–1n, where λn are the non‐zero eigenvalues of some boundary value problems for degenerate second order ordinary differential operators and we prove a formula for the above sum when the coefficient of the zero‐order term vanishes. We study these operators both in weighted Hilbert spaces and in spaces of continuous functions. After investigating the boundary behaviour of the eigenfunctions, we give applications to the regularity of the generated semigroups.  相似文献

We consider the topological space of all weighted composition operators on weighted Bergman spaces of infinite order endowed with the operator norm. We show that the set of compact weighted composition operators is path connected. Furthermore, we find conditions to ensure that two weighted composition operators are in the same path connected component if the difference of them is compact. Moreover, we compare the topologies induced by L(H) and L(Hv) on the space of bounded composition operators and give a sufficient condition for a composition operator to be isolated.  相似文献

Let D be a bounded homogeneous domain in ℂ n . In this paper, we study the bounded and the compact weighted composition operators mapping the Hardy space H (D) into the Bloch space of D. We characterize the bounded weighted composition operators, provide operator norm estimates, and give sufficient conditions for compactness. We prove that these conditions are necessary in the case of the unit ball and the polydisk. We then show that if D is a bounded symmetric domain, the bounded multiplication operators from H (D) to the Bloch space of D are the operators whose symbol is bounded.  相似文献

We consider the Dirichlet problem for non‐divergence parabolic equation with discontinuous in t coefficients in a half space. The main result is weighted coercive estimates of solutions in anisotropic Sobolev spaces. We give an application of this result to linear and quasi‐linear parabolic equations in a bounded domain. In particular, if the boundary is of class C1,δ , δ ∈ [0, 1], then we present a coercive estimate of solutions in weighted anisotropic Sobolev spaces, where the weight is a power of the distance to the boundary (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. We give embedding theorems for weighted Bergman–Orlicz spaces on the ball and then apply our results to the study of the boundedness and the compactness of composition operators in this context. As one of the motivations of this work, we show that there exist some weighted Bergman–Orlicz spaces, different from H , on which every composition operator is bounded.  相似文献

We develop the stability theory for the finite section method for general band-dominated operators on l p spaces over Z k . We characterize bounded and compact composition operators on weighted Dirichlet spaces. The method involves integral averages of the determining function for the operator, and the connection between composition operators on Dirichlet spaces and Toeplitz operators on Bergman spaces. We also present several examples and counter-examples that point out the borderlines of the result and its connections to other themes.

We study composition operators between weighted Bergman spaces. Certain growth conditions for generalized Nevanlinna counting functions of the inducing map are shown to be necessary and sufficient for such operators to be bounded or compact. Particular choices for the weights yield results on composition operators between the classical unweighted Bergman and Hardy spaces.

Compressions of Toeplitz operators to coinvariant subspaces of H2 are called truncated Toeplitz operators. We study two questions related to these operators. The first, raised by Sarason, is whether boundedness of the operator implies the existence of a bounded symbol; the second is the Reproducing Kernel Thesis. We show that in general the answer to the first question is negative, and we exhibit some classes of spaces for which the answers to both questions are positive.  相似文献

The norm of a bounded composition operator induced by a disc automorphism is estimated on weighted Hardy spaces H 2(β) in which the classical Hardy space is continuously embedded. The estimate obtained is accurate in the sense that it provides the exact norm for particular instances of the sequence β. As a by-product of our results, an estimate for the norm of any bounded composition operator on H 2(β) is obtained.  相似文献

A well-known result going back to the 1930s states that all bounded linear operators mapping scalar-valued L 1-spaces into L -spaces are kernel operators and that in fact this relation induces an isometric isomorphism between the space of such operators and the space of all bounded kernels. We extend this result to the case of spaces of vector-valued functions. A recent result due to Arendt and Thomaschewski states that the local operators acting on L p -spaces of functions with values in separable Banach spaces are precisely the multiplication operators. We extend this result to non-separable dual spaces. Moreover, we relate positivity and other order properties of the operators to corresponding properties of the representations.  相似文献

We establish the connection between the boundedness of convolution operators on Hp(ℝN) and some related operators on Hp(ℤN). The results we obtain here extend the already known for Lp spaces with p > 1. We also study similar results for maximal operators given by convolution with the dilation of a fixed kernel. Our main tools are some known results about functions of exponential type already presented in [BC1] that, in particular, allow us to prove a sampling theorem for functions of exponential type belonging to Hardy spaces  相似文献
