A collective adiabatic approach is used to explore the total and differential cross sections for the reactions d + dp + 3H and d + dn + 3He at incident-deuteron energies of up to 6 MeV. All substantially contributing partial waves of order not higher than that of G waves are taken into account. The experimental value of the difference of the cross sections for the above mirror reactions is reproduced theoretically under the assumption that nuclear forces obey the condition of isotopic invariance. The positions and amplitudes of the maxima in the calculated total cross sections virtually coincide with those of the corresponding experimental values. It is shown that, around the maxima of the cross sections under study, dominant contributions to them come from the P wave. The sensitivity of observables to the parameters of nucleon-nucleon interaction is analyzed.  相似文献

T-odd correlations that are possible in the processes n + p d + and n + p d + e+ + ee- and that arise due to the capture of thermal neutrons are determined in terms of threshold amplitudes (for the process n + p d + @#@) or electromagnetic inelastic form factors (for the process n + p d+ e+ + ee§-). We present calculations of the cross-sections for elastic as well as for muon transfer in t + dμ- collisions below the tμ-(n = 2) threshold. The appropriate mass-scaled Jacobi coordinates are used in the direct and rearrangement channels. The K-matrix elements are obtained from the solution of multichannel Faddeev equations in the configuration space formulation. A bipolar expansion and spline representation are used in the numerical solution of the modified Faddeev equations. The mechanism of the reaction 3He + p → p + p + d is studied by making use of the ITEP 80 cm liquid-hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a beam of 5 GeV/c 3He nuclei. The reaction cross section is equal to 20.6 ± 0.3 mb. The phase-space regions associated with quasifree scattering (QFS) and final-state interactions (FSI) are selected. Angular, mass and momentum distributions of the reaction products are obtained in the entire kinematically allowed range. The experimental data in the QFS region are compared with theoretical calculations based on the simplest pole-diagram approximation. The 3He and deuteron wave functions (WF) correspond to the realistic RSC potential. The D-wave components of these WF are taken into account. The absolute value of the cross section and shape of the distributions are described as a whole reasonably well within the frame of the model considered in the kinematical region where FSI may be neglected. But at large spectator momenta there is an essential disagreement. The possible reasons for this are discussed.  相似文献

Taking into account the n interaction, a nonrelativistic graphical technique is used to calculate the differential cross section of the reaction d K+ n as a function of photon energy, K+-momentum, and angle of emission of the K+. The energy and angular distributions of deuterons from the D + D → p + n + d reaction are experimentally and theoretically studied. The experiment is conducted on the U-240 cyclotron at the Institute for Nuclear Research in an extracted beam of deuterons with energy E D = 36.9 MeV. A theoretical analysis has been performed using the microscopic diffraction nuclear model, within which the final-state interaction is considered and simple expressions for internal wave functions and approximations that include quasibinary mechanisms are employed.  相似文献

Contributions from the semi-exclusive channels γd → π± NN + π0 d and γd → π0 X (X=pn or d) to the deuteron spin asymmetry and the Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn (GDH) integral are explicitly evaluated using an enhanced elementary pion photoproduction operator and a realistic, high-precision potential model for the deuteron wave function. The sensitivity of the results to the elementary pion photoproduction operator is also investigated and considerable dependence is found. Results for the deuteron GDH integral are compared with the measurements from A2 and GDH@MAMI Collaborations.  相似文献

In this article the results of the evaluation of the contribution of nuclear disintegration, based on the basis of diffraction theory in the 208Pb(6Li, αd)208Pb Coulomb breakup at an energy of 156 MeV is presented. Comparison of the results of the calculation with the experimental data of Kiener et al. [Phys. Rev. C 44, 2195 (1991)] gives evidence for the dominance of the Coulomb dissociation mechanism and contribution of nuclear distortion, but essentially smaller than the value reported byHammache et al. [Phys. Rev. C 82, 065803 (2010)] and Sümmerer [Prog. Part. Nucl. Phys. 66, 298 (2011)].  相似文献

Many-body perturbation theory has been used to calculate the resonance structure (3p→3d) into the photoionization (4skp) for ion Ca+. This resonance structure results from the interference between a photoionization process or a photoionization with excitation process and a resonant Auger process. The coupled equation method has been improved to calculate this interference by the summation of specific classes of diagrams of perturbation theory to infinite order. The resonance structure in the region of the 3p threshold is enhanced via a super-Coster–Kronig transition. The theoretical results are in good agreement with experiment.  相似文献

Experimental values of the differential cross section for the reactionn+dπ 0+t at large angles (θ?50°) in the neutron energy range 460–560 MeV and the known values of the coupling constants \(G_{nn\pi ^O }^2 \) andG tdn 2 are used to predictdσ/dΩ at smaller angles. Solar neutrinos from the decay of 8B have been detected at the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) via the charged current (CC) reaction on deuterium and by the elastic scattering (ES) of electrons. The CC reaction is sensitive exclusively to ν e, while the ES reaction also has a small sensitivity to ν μ and ν τ. The flux of ν e from 8B decay measured by the CC reaction rate is φ CC(ν e )=[1.75±0.07(stat.) ?0.11 +0.12 (syst.)×0.05(theor.)]×106cm?2s?1. Assuming no flavor transformation, the flux inferred from the ES reaction rate is φ ES(ν x )=[2.39±0.34(stat.) ?0.14 +0.16 (syst.)]×106cm?2s?1. Comparison of φ CC(ν e) to the Super-Kamiokande collaboration’s precision value of φ ES(ν x) yields a 3.3σ difference, assuming the systematic uncertainties are normally distributed, providing evidence that there is a nonelectron flavor active neutrino component in the solar flux. The total flux of active 8B neutrinos is thus determined to be (5.44±0.99)×106 cm?2 s?1, in close agreement with the predictions of solar models.  相似文献

The measurement of parity-violating (PV) observables in few-nucleon system can shed light on our current understanding of the weak interaction between nucleons.Theoretical models describe the nucleonnucleon weak interaction at low energies use a series of undetermined parameters.Two parity violating measurements have been considered: the capture of polarized slow neutrons on hydrogen (n + p → d + γ) at Los Alamos National Laboratory for first phase and Oka Ridge National Laboratory for second phase and the helicity dependence of the deuteron photodisintegration cross section using circularly polarized photons (γ + d → n + p) at Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics.The goal of both experiments is to constraint the weak meson-nucleon couplings to a precision of 1 ×10-8 .The introduction of both experiments is presented.  相似文献

Muonic X-ray spectra of μ3He and μ4He from dμd, pμd, and dμt fusion are analyzed for various target densities. Theoretical values of the intensity ratio μ3He(3→1)/μ3He(2→1) for dμd and pμd fusion at liquid hydrogen density are, respectively, 0.132 and 0.0553. The dependence of the Tc's on the radius of the rare earth ions in the rare earth “123” high temperature superconductors (HTSC) is explained within the framework of a (d + s)-wave model of superconductivity. The appearance of a s-wave symmetry component in the order parameter of a spin fluctuation mediated d-wave superconductor is taken to be due to the orthorhombic distortion which occurs in these HTSC. It is assumed that the structural (orthorhombic) distortion induces a corresponding anisotropy in the pairing interaction, resulting in a nonseparable anisotropic interaction. It is shown that the Tc's are affected by the orthorhombic distortion which in turn is observed to depend on the size of the RE ions.  相似文献

A search for the muon-catalyzed fusion reaction d + d4He + γ in the ddμ muonic molecule was performed using the experimental installation TRITON with BGO detectors for γ-quanta. A high-pressure target filled with deuterium was exposed to the negative muon beam of the JINR Phasotron to detect γ-quanta with the energy 23.8 MeV. An experimental estimation for the yield of radiative deuteron capture from the ddμ state J = 1 was obtained at the level of η γ ≤ 8 × 10?7 per fusion.  相似文献

We investigate the influence of reagent vibration on the stereodynamics of the title reaction by the quasi-classical trajectory on the Aguado-Paniagua2-potential energy surface developed by Aguado et al. (J. Chem. Phys. 1997 106 1013). The cross sections and reaction probability as functions of the reagent vibration are calculated in the centre-of-mass frame. The product angular distributions of p(θr), p(φr), and p(θr, φr), which reflect the vector correlation, are also presented and discussed. The results indicate that the vector properties are sensitively affected by the vibrational excitation.  相似文献

Many atomic and molecular processes may occur after a muon has been stopped in a mixture of hydrogen and helium isotopes. In particular, the muonic molecule μd3He can be formed. This molecule either decays or undergoes muon catalyzed fusion. Theory predicts a fusion rate much lower than the decay rate; moreover, the various theoretical predictions differ from each other by several orders of magnitude. With the experiment presented here we intend to measure the effective fusion rate via the detection of the 14.7 MeV fusion proton. A new target and gas mixing system, designed at JINR, were used in a ten-day test run at PSI. The fusion protons and products from other transfer and background reactions were measured with several different detectors (plastic scintillators, BGO, Germanium, neutron, and Silicon detectors). The formation rate of the μd 3He molecule and an upper limit for the effective fusion rate have been measured and are presented here. To understand recently established empirical p+α potentials, RGM calculations followed by inversion are made to study contributions of the d+3He reaction channels and deuteron distortion effects to the p+α potential. An equivalent study of the d+3He potential is also presented. The contributions of exchange non-locality to the absorption are simulated by including an phenomenological imaginary potential in the RGM. These effects alone strongly influence the shape of the imaginary potentials for both p+α and d+3He. The potentials local-equivalent to the fully antisymmetrised-coupled channels calculations have a significant parity-dependence in both real and imaginary components, which for p+α is qualitatively similar to that found empirically. The effects on the potentials of the further inclusion of deuteron distortion are also presented. The inclusion of a spin-orbit term in the RGM, adds additional terms to the phase-equivalent potential, most notably the comparatively large imaginary spin-orbit term found empirically.  相似文献
