We have numerically investigated the effects that observational correlated noises have on the generalized Hurst exponents, h(q)h(q), estimated by using the multifractal generalization of detrended fluctuation analysis (MF-DFA). More precisely, artificially generated stochastic binomial multifractals with increased amount of colored noises were analyzed via MF-DFA. It has been recently shown that for moderate additions of white noise, the generalized Hurst exponents are significantly underestimated for q<2q<2 and they are nearly unchanged for q≥2q2 [J. Ludescher, M.I. Bogachev, J.W. Kantelhardt, A.Y. Schumann, A. Bunde, On spurious and corrupted multifractality: the effects of additive noise, short- term memory and periodic trends, Physica A 390 (2011) 2480–2490]. In this paper, we have found that h(q)h(q) with q≥2q2 are also affected when correlated noises are considered. This is due to the fact that the spurious correlations influence the scaling behaviors associated to large fluctuations. The results obtained are significant for practical situations, where noises with different correlations are inherently present.  相似文献

We examine statistical properties of a daily hot pixel time series recorded in Brazil during the period 1998–2006, using Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (MF-DFA). We find that generalized scaling exponent h(q)h(q) is a decreasing function of qq, indicating multifractal behavior of hot pixel dynamics. We also calculate multifractal spectra f(α)f(α) and use fourth-degree polynomial regression to estimate complexity parameters that describe the degree of multifractality of the underlying process. After July 2002, when a significant increase of the number of hot pixel observations is recorded, the complexity of the series is reduced (manifested by the reduction of width of the f(α)f(α) spectrum), while small fluctuations increase their dominance over large scale fluctuations (manifested by the increase of skew parameter rr). These results should be taken into account when devising ecological and climatic models for Brazil, that contemplate the phenomena of wild-land and forest fires.  相似文献

The effects associated to the length of stabilograms, a measure of the time dependence of the center of pressure of an individual standing up, are analyzed. The fractal characteristics of 27 signals with a length of 214214 points, each one corresponding to a different individual, are studied by using the Detrended Fluctuation Analysis technique. The properties of the complete signals are compared to those of various subsignals extracted from them. No differences have been found between the characteristic exponents found for xx and yy signals. The relation between the exponents of the position and velocity signals is accomplished by the 214214 point signals, while subsignals with up to 212212 points do not verify it. Using artificial signals with 214214 points, generated for αα values given, it has been demonstrated that the exponents obtained from these signals take values larger than expected for α<0.3α<0.3, while the exponents of the accumulated series are smaller than expected for 0.7<α0.7<α. For CoP trajectories this indicates that DFA-1 provides feasible exponents for the short ττ-end region of the velocity signal and the large ττ-end region of the accumulated (position) one. It has been found that the characteristic exponents vary along the series. A slightly larger persistence is found in the last part of the signal for large frequencies in the xx direction.  相似文献

We apply the multifractal detrending moving average (MFDMA) to investigate and compare the efficiency and multifractality of 5-min high-frequency China Securities Index 300 (CSI 300). The results show that the CSI 300 market becomes closer to weak-form efficiency after the introduction of CSI 300 future. We find that the CSI 300 is featured by multifractality and there are less complexity and risk after the CSI 300 index future was introduced. With the shuffling, surrogating and removing extreme values procedures, we unveil that extreme events and fat-distribution are the main origin of multifractality. Besides, we discuss the knotting phenomena in multifractality, and find that the scaling range and the irregular fluctuations for large scales in the Fq(s)Fq(s) vs ss plot can cause a knot.  相似文献

We discuss space-time symmetric Hamiltonian operators of the form H=H0+igHH=H0+igH, where H0H0 is Hermitian and gg real. H0H0 is invariant under the unitary operations of a point group GG while HH is invariant under transformation by elements of a subgroup GG of GG. If GG exhibits irreducible representations of dimension greater than unity, then it is possible that HH has complex eigenvalues for sufficiently small nonzero values of gg. In the particular case that HH is parity-time symmetric then it appears to exhibit real eigenvalues for all 0<g<gc0<g<gc, where gcgc is the exceptional point closest to the origin. Point-group symmetry and perturbation theory enable one to predict whether HH may exhibit real or complex eigenvalues for g>0g>0. We illustrate the main theoretical results and conclusions of this paper by means of two- and three-dimensional Hamiltonians exhibiting a variety of different point-group symmetries.  相似文献

The large-n expansion is applied to the calculation of thermal critical exponents describing the critical behavior of spatially anisotropic d-dimensional systems at m  -axial Lifshitz points. We derive the leading non-trivial 1/n1/n correction for the perpendicular correlation-length exponent νL2νL2 and hence several related thermal exponents to order O(1/n)O(1/n). The results are consistent with known large-n expansions for d  -dimensional critical points and isotropic Lifshitz points, as well as with the second-order epsilon expansion about the upper critical dimension d?=4+m/2d?=4+m/2 for generic m∈[0,d]m[0,d]. Analytical results are given for the special case d=4d=4, m=1m=1. For uniaxial Lifshitz points in three dimensions, 1/n1/n coefficients are calculated numerically. The estimates of critical exponents at d=3d=3, m=1m=1 and n=3n=3 are discussed.  相似文献

A complex symplectic structure on a Lie algebra hh is an integrable complex structure JJ with a closed non-degenerate (2,0)(2,0)-form. It is determined by JJ and the real part ΩΩ of the (2,0)(2,0)-form. Suppose that hh is a semi-direct product g?Vg?V, and both gg and VV are Lagrangian with respect to ΩΩ and totally real with respect to JJ. This note shows that g?Vg?V is its own weak mirror image in the sense that the associated differential Gerstenhaber algebras controlling the extended deformations of ΩΩ and JJ are isomorphic.  相似文献

The sound attenuation phenomena is investigated for a spin- 3/2 Ising model on the Bethe lattice in terms of the recursion relations by using the Onsager theory of irreversible thermodynamics. The dependencies of sound attenuation on the temperature (TT), frequency (ww), Onsager coefficient (γγ) and external magnetic field (HH) near the second-order (Tc)(Tc) and first-order (Tt)(Tt) phase transition temperatures are examined for given coordination numbers qq on the Bethe lattice. It is assumed that the sound wave couples to the order-parameter fluctuations which decay mainly via the order-parameter relaxation process, thus two relaxation times are obtained and which are used to obtain an expression for the sound attenuation coefficient (α)(α). Our investigations revealed that only one peak is obtained near TtTt and three peaks are found near TcTc when the Onsager coefficient is varied at a given constant frequency for q=3q=3. Fixing the Onsager coefficient and varying the frequency always leads to two peaks for q=3,4q=3,4 and 6 near TcTc. The sound attenuation peaks are observed near TtTt at lower values of external magnetic field, but as it increases the sound attenuation peaks decrease and eventually disappear.  相似文献

In this paper we show that for a compact minimal hypersurface MM of constant scalar curvature in the unit sphere S6S6 with the shape operator AA satisfying ‖A‖2>5A2>5, there exists an eigenvalue λ>10λ>10 of the Laplace operator of the hypersurface MM such that ‖A‖2=λ−5A2=λ5. In this study, the non-linear analysis of the sunspot index is embedded in the non-extensive statistical theory of Tsallis (1988, 2004, 2009) ,  and . The qq-triplet of Tsallis, as well as the correlation dimension and the Lyapunov exponent spectrum were estimated for the SVD components of the sunspot index timeseries. Also the multifractal scaling exponent spectrum f(a)f(a), the generalized Renyi dimension spectrum D(q)D(q) and the spectrum J(p)J(p) of the structure function exponents were estimated experimentally and theoretically by using the qq-entropy principle included in Tsallis non-extensive statistical theory, following Arimitsu and Arimitsu (2001, 2000)  and . Our analysis showed clearly the following: (a) a phase transition process in the solar dynamics from high dimensional non-Gaussian SOC state to a low dimensional non-Gaussian chaotic state, (b) strong intermittent solar turbulence and anomalous (multifractal) diffusion solar process, which is strengthened as the solar dynamics makes a phase transition to low dimensional chaos in accordance to Ruzmaikin, Zeleny and Milovanov’s studies (Zelenyi and Milovanov (1991) [21]); Milovanov and Zelenyi (1993) [22]; Ruzmakin et al. (1996) [26]) (c) faithful agreement of Tsallis non-equilibrium statistical theory with the experimental estimations of (i) non-Gaussian probability distribution function P(x)P(x), (ii) multifractal scaling exponent spectrum f(a)f(a) and generalized Renyi dimension spectrum DqDq, (iii) exponent spectrum J(p)J(p) of the structure functions estimated for the sunspot index and its underlying non equilibrium solar dynamics.  相似文献

It has been recently shown that excess events observed by the LSND and MiniBooNE neutrino experiments could be interpreted as a signal from the radiative decay of a heavy sterile neutrino νhνh produced in νμνμ neutral-current-like neutrino interactions. If the νhνh exist, it would be also produced by the νμνμ beam from the CERN SPS in the neutrino beam line shielding. The νhνh?s would penetrate the shielding and be observed through the νh→γννhγν decay followed by the photon conversion into e+ee+e pair in the active target of the NOMAD detector. The νhνh?s could be also produced in the iron of the magnetic spectrometer of the CHORUS detector, located just in front of NOMAD. Considering these two sources of νhνh?s we set new constraints on νhνh properties and exclude part of the LSND/MiniBooNE νhνh parameter space using bounds on single photons production in neutrino reactions recently reported by the NOMAD Collaboration. We find that broad bands in the parameter space are still open for more sensitive searches for the νhνh in future neutrino experiments.  相似文献

For every diffeomorphism φ:M→Nφ:MN between 3-dimensional Riemannian manifolds MM and NN, there are locally two 2-dimensional distributions D±D± such that φφ is conformal on both of them. We state necessary and sufficient conditions for a distribution to be one of D±D±. These are algebraic conditions expressed in terms of the self-adjoint and positive definite operator induced from φφ. We investigate the integrability condition of D+D+ and DD. We also show that it is possible to choose coordinate systems in which leafwise conformal diffeomorphism is holomorphic on leaves.  相似文献

Let E→MEM be a holomorphic vector bundle over a compact Kähler manifold (M,ω)(M,ω). We prove that if EE admits a ωω-balanced metric (in X. Wang’s terminology (Wang, 2005 [3])) then it is unique. This result together with Biliotti and Ghigi (2008) [14] implies the existence and uniqueness of ωω-balanced metrics of certain direct sums of irreducible homogeneous vector bundles over rational homogeneous varieties. We finally apply our result to show the rigidity of ωω-balanced Kähler maps into Grassmannians.  相似文献
