The rocking curves of Ge (111), (220), (333) for CuK 1 radiation were measured by means of the triple-crystal diffractometer. Perfect silicon single crystals, cut parallel to the (111) plane were used in the monochromator part of the triple-crystal diffractometer. The results prove the suitability of such a monochromator for studying diffraction patterns.

The Gelfand-Levitan equation for the kernelP(r, r) (withrr) is formulated and then applied for determining the scattering potential in the scattering of slow neutrons on protons (for the case when the dependence of the nuclear forces on the spins can be neglected and onlys-scattering need be considered). The potentials obtained are the same as the Bargmann ones, found by a different method.

A study is made of instability at frequencies close to the electron cyclotron frequency B and its multiples, subject to the presence of two different groups of electrons. It is shown that a mixture of hot and cold electrons ( ph 2 pc 2 ) in the region of frequencies s B, s2 can be unstable with respect to waves of the flute type (k z=0) with maximum increment max ( ph/pc). B, if there exists an interval of transversal velocities in whichF/ >0. When the curvature of the magnetic field is taken into account, even waves with B can be unstable in such a plasma. The effect of spatial inhomogeneity of the hot component on flute-type instability and on two-beam cyclotron instability is also examined.The author extends his thanks to A. B. Stripes of rhodium metal were deposited by focusing an Ar+ laser (514.5 nm) onto glass and polyimide substrates in a heated vacuum cell that contained Rh(CO)2acac vapor. Stripes were characterized by scanning profilometry, electrical resistivity, SEM and Auger measurements. Most stripes were 100–200 m wide and 1–3 m high. Very broad stripes (>500 m) were deposited when the Rh(CO)2acac vapor pressure was greater than 1 Torr and when the laser power was more than 200 mW. Stripe resistivities were in general around 30 times that of the bulk material. Auger spectra show the presence of carbon in the stripes.  相似文献

Exact self-consistent solutions of the equations that describe a system of interacting spinor and massless scalar fields with the interaction Lagrangian Lint=,,(S), where (S) is an arbitrary function of the invariant S=, are obtained in Bianci I space. It is shown that according to the Watanabe theory of weak interactions a resonant scattering of electrons by protons must take place. The resonant energy depends on the massm B of the intermediate boson. Form B=2300m e this energy is about 213 MeV in the centre of the mass system (c. m. s.). The energy width at resonance is 1·4 MeV.

We report the results of ac-susceptibility and dc-magnetization measurements for HyGd2CuO4 (0y0.54). It is shown thatH doping lowers the weak ferromagnetic component in the material. The distinct hysteresis loops observed atT=77 K for both non- and hydrogenated samples change its shape withy. The magnetic ordering temperatures T N Cu and T N Gd , as determined from the temperature dependencies of ac-susceptibility, remain unchanged with sample's hydrogenation. This result seems to indicate that extra electrons are not doped onto the Cu-O planes of Gd2CuO4. The frequency dependencies ofx(, T) andx(, T) for bothy=0 andy=0.15 samples are analysed., The maximums ofx andx found at about 200K are considered in terms of susceptibility dependence on the spin-lattice relaxation time (). The anomalies in ac-susceptibility found recently in Gd2CuO4 atT a=8 K andT b=9.5 K decrease significantly withy. Results are discussed in the context of available data on 214T-type compounds.  相似文献

The periodic domain structures on unfavourably oriented surface layers of ferromagnetic materials were studied both experimentally and theoretically. The connection between the surface structure and the crystallographic orientation of the crystals was confirmed. All the terms contributing to the total energy of the surface layer were calculated. A general solution of the potential problem is given for arbitrary periodic distribution of the charges.

In a systematic study of the transfer process to sulphur dioxide, in seven different H2 + SO2 gas mixtures, the time spectra of the muonic sulphur X-rays yield muon transfer rates to the SO2 molecule, deduced from the lifetimes of the p atoms, which agree all well with each other. The muonic oxygen time spectra show an additional structure as if p atoms of another kind were present. Reduced transfer ratesO are reproducible if one uses the model of ephemeral p atoms. The intensity ratios between the different kinds of p atoms are also discussed in the framework of this model and the one of black and white p atoms.  相似文献

The usual way of obtaining rate equations (RE) and a single equation for the field amplitude (EFA) from the semiclassical laser equations (Lorenz-Haken model) is reexamined by undertaking a systematic elimination procedure developed in synergetics. The RE and EFA are justified in the case 1 (, ) and case 2 (, ), respectively. We show that, because the eliminated variable happens to contain a considerable contribution from an unstable mode, the usual elimination technique in the case 3 (, ) leads to an inconsistency. As important by-products we obtain the RE and EFA for arbitrary cavity relaxation constant (). Some remarks are given on the direct elimination technique in the non-diagonal representation in the study of instabilities.  相似文献

The magnetostriction constant of nickel was measured as a function of plastic deformation up to an elongation of 30%. The values of the magnetostriction constant in deformed samples deviate considerably, a fact which cannot be explained by errors of measurement. The absolute value of the magnetostriction constant decreases with increasing plastic deformation (by around 5%).

A theory of the azimuthal bunching of electrons injected into the betatron is presented and compared with the experiments described in [1]. The bunching is treated as a small perturbation of the stationary beam.The stationary injected beam is replaced by the corresponding equilibrium beam of the same perveance so that the angular velocity spread of the injected electrons is proportional to the square root of the injection perveance.Self-consistent wave solutions for the perturbation of the stationary solution are then found. Equations giving the amplification of small density or energy disturbances along the beam are derived. These disturbances are assumed to be introduced by density or velocity modulation of the injected beam. The condition for the spontaneous occurrence of bunching is deduced by assuming that the disturbances do not vanish even when there is no modulation of the injected beam. The resulting expressions for the threshold perveance and the rise-time of the disturbance are in reasonably good agreement with the experiments. Such agreement may be considered as further verification of the statement made in [1] that the amplification of the disturbances is caused by the negative mass instability mechanism.

The total energy of many-nucleon system is expressed as a functional E[ p(r), n(r)] of the proton and neutron densities p(r) and n(r), respectively. The distribution(r) of nucleons in the nucleus, which is essential to determine the energy functional, is chosen. The energy density formalism is applied to finite nuclei, and then the binding energies per nucleon together with the mean square radii, for some medium and heavy nuclei, are obtained. Among our results we show that forF0, (,e H ) decays exponentially at a rate governed by the positions of the resonances ofH. By the methods of luminescence, picosecond spectroscopy, and quantumchemical calculations the mechanisms of electron excitation energy deactivation in some oligothiophenes with intramolecular charge transfer depending on the solvent polarity and viscosity have been investigated. While for 2Npiperidino5(2,2dicyanovinyl)thiophene (PDCVT) the main channel of nonradiative deactivation is the transition to a lower intermediate state with a twisted double bond controlled by the medium viscosity, in the case of (E){2[25piperidino2thienyl]6(trifluoridemethyl)4H4pyranylidene}propanedinitryl (PTFDN) fluorescence quenching is initiated by the solvent polarity. For two other oligothiophenes, 2Npiperidino5cyanothiophene (PCT) and 2Npiperidino5cyanoterthiophene (PCTT), differing in the length of the thiophene chain, we have revealed, along with the effective quenching of fluorescence in shortchain PCT (independent of the solvent polarity and viscosity), an increase in the radiation capacity in PCTT with increasing polarity of the solvent. The possible mechanisms of nonradiative deactivation in the investigated oligothiophenes are discussed.  相似文献

The paper deals with the collective behaviour of electrons which rotate in a magnetic field used in a betatron. It is shown experimentally that there exists strong interaction between the electrons, which leads to the rapid formation of the equilibrium state with characteristic distribution of the charge density in the cross-section of the toroidal beam. The corresponding relaxation time is of the order of 1 sec. A statistical theory of the equilibrium beam is elaborated. Its main result is that the effective radius of the beam is a function of two parameters, one of which is proportional to the thermal energy of the electrons and the other to the perveance of the beam. The charge contained in a toroidal beam of given effective cross-section is equal to the product of the charge the beam would contain at zero temperature and a coefficient, which is a function of the temperature of the beam. Its value is unity at zero temperature and rapidly decreases with increasing temperature. The cause of cooling of the beam is shown.
