Two novel triphenylene liquid crystals with 15-crown-5 unit as side-chain 4a and 4b were designed and synthesised by simple procedures in ideal yields. Their structures were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR), electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) and elemental analysis. Their liquid-crystalline behaviours before and after complexation with metallic salts were studied by differential scanning calorimetry, polarising optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Neat compounds 4a and 4b show mesophase with triphenylene column, while complexes of 4a and 4b with metallic salts exhibit no mesophase but higher melting point.  相似文献

Series of novel 1,3,5-triazine-based triphenylene oligomers 7, 10 and 12 with large bridging polyaromatic core were designed and synthesised by simple procedures in high yields. Their structures were confirmed by FTIR, 1H NMR, ESI-MS and elemental analyses. Their mesomorphic behaviours were studied by differential scanning calorimetry, polarising optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. 1,3,5-triazine-based triphenylene monomer 7 has no mesomorphic property, but 1,3,5-triazine-based triphenylene dimer 10 and 1,3,5-triazine-based triphenylene trimer 12 possess excellent mesomorphic properties. The mesomorphic temperature range of compound 12 was as wide as 180°C. These studies indicated that the mesomorphic properties were determined by the numbers of triphenylene units. More units of triphenylene in the oligomers resulted in better mesomorphic properties.  相似文献

Three novel 1,7-dibrominated cholesterol–perylene liquid crystals 6a, 6b and 6c with different ester-bridging chains were designed and synthesised in yields of 30–40%. Their structures were characterised by FT-IR, 1H NMR and HR-MS spectra. Their mesomorphic behaviours were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarising optical microscopy (POM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Compounds 6a, 6b and 6c exhibit hexagonal columnar liquid crystalline phase at room temperature. Their mesomorphic temperature ranges are as wide as 140–162°C. Their fluorescence spectra suggested that they possess good fluorescence properties in solution. The soft ester-bridging chains are more favourable for room-temperature mesophase and high fluorescence than the rigid ester-bridging chain.  相似文献

By controlling the mol ratios of reactants, novel calix[4]resorcinarene–triphenylene monomer, dimer and tetramer were designed and synthesised in yields of 50–60% via Click chemistry. Their structures were characterised by NMR and MS. Their liquid crystalline behaviours were studied by differential scanning calorimetry, polarising optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. The more triphenylene units on calix[4]resorcinarene resulted in the wider temperature scopes of mesophase and higher phase transition temperatures. The monomer 6 and dimer 7 showed the mixed columnar mesophase with hexagonal columnar structure and disordered lamellar columnar structure, and compound 8 possessed only disordered lamellar columnar mesophase. These research results suggest that calix[4]resorcinarene was a good platform to construct columnar liquid crystal and the mesomorphic properties were greatly influenced by the substituted numbers of mesogen units on calix skeleton.  相似文献

合成了一系列新型含间位二硝基苯甲酸酯不对称苯并菲盘状液晶化合物2-(3,5-二硝基苯甲酰氧基)-3,6,7,10,11-五烷氧基苯并菲(3a~3f). 通过偏光显微镜(POM)和差示扫描量热计(DSC)对其介晶性进行了研究. 结果显示: 此类化合物有高的清亮点, 稳定的六方柱状相以及较宽的介晶相范围, 且随着软链碳原子数的增加, 化合物的熔点和清亮点均出现下降趋势, 但六方柱状相的有序性却没有发生很明显的变化. 同时通过与其它三类苯并菲盘状液晶2-苯甲酰氧基-3,6,7,10,11-五烷氧基苯并菲(4a~4f), 2-二茂铁甲酰氧基-3,6,7,10,11-五烷氧基苯并菲(5a~5f), 2,3,6,7,10,11-六烷氧基苯并菲(6a~6f)的对比研究, 探讨了酯基, 强吸电子基团, 以及取代官能团体积对介晶性的影响. 证实了苯并菲化合物中分子结构小的变化将引起介晶性大的改变.  相似文献

Novel tetra- and hexacatenar materials based on benzobisthiazole derivatives have been synthesised (4ac, 5ac and 6ac) and their mesomorphic properties have been studied by differential scanning calorimetry, polarised optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. All compounds in series 4ac display an enantiotropic hexagonal columnar phase, whereas their analogous compounds in series 5ac did not show mesomorphic behaviour. Compound 6a displays an unidentified monotropic columnar phase, whereas compounds 6b and 6c show an enantiotropic rectangular columnar mesophase. The mesomorphic properties were found to be dependent on the length, position and number of alkoxy chains attached at the end of the rigid core. These compounds also show photoluminescence properties in the visible region and have good quantum yields. A thermogravimetric analysis was also performed.  相似文献

Six novel gemini imidazolium salts tethered with hexaalkoxytriphenylene moieties were prepared by quaternization of imidazole nitrogen with ω-bromo-substituted triphenylene derivatives. Their chemical structures were examined by 1H NMR, IR, UV, MS, and elemental analyses. The mesomorphic properties of these discotic dimeric salts were investigated by polarizing optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and X-ray diffraction studies. These triphenylene-imidazole-based gemini dimers with bromide as counter ion were found to exhibit liquid crystalline behavior over a wide temperature range and display ionic conductivity in the range of 10−6 to 10−5 S/m. These materials tend to form monolayer at the air-water interface.  相似文献

Three novel gallic monomer 7, dimer 10 and trimer 12 with conjugated cyanuric core were designed and synthesised by Schiff-base condensation mode in yields of 80–90%. Their structures were characterised by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 1H NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance), electrospray ionization mass spectrometry and elemental analyses. Their mesomorphic behaviours were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, polarising optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The gallic monomer 7 has no mesomorphic property, but the dimer 10 and trimer 12 possess good mesomorphic properties. The trimer 12 with high symmetry exhibited the typical hexagonal columnar liquid crystal at room temperature. The temperature range of mesophase is as wide as 149°C (14–163°C). The results suggested that the more gallic units and symmetric structures are favourable for excellent mesomorphic properties.  相似文献

Novel liquid crystal materials based on 3,4-di-n-alkoxybenzoylthiosemicarbazides (3ah, n = 5–10, 12, 14) were synthesised. The mesomorphic properties of these compounds were characterised and studied by differential scanning calorimetry, polarising optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Compound 3a did not show mesomorphic properties; 3b shows a monotropic hexagonal columnar (Colh) phase. Compounds 3ch display an enantiotropic Colh phase. The mesomorphic properties were found to be dependent on the length of alkoxy side chains. In N,N-dimethylformamide solution, all the compounds displayed a room temperature emission with λmax at 361–332 nm. A thermogravimetric analysis also was performed.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Two series of novel side-chain liquid crystal (LC) polysiloxanes grafted with chiral liquid crystalline dimers containing cholesteryl mesogens were synthesised. The chemical structure and LC properties of comonomers and polymers were characterised by FTIR, 1H-NMR, DSC, TGA, POM and XRD. M1 and M2 were chiral nematic (N*) dimers, and M3 was an achiral LC monomer displaying nematic mesophase in a narrow mesomorphic temperature range, while the copolymers exhibited N* mesophase whose mesomorphic temperature ranges were much wider than those of the comonomers. Moreover, the glass transition temperatures and isotropization temperatures of the polymers all decreased with decreasing the dimer components. Reflection spectra showed that Pa series tend to attain wide-band selective reflection at long wavelengths, while Pb series were more potential at short wavelengths with narrow bandwidths. Decreasing the dimer components led the wavelength of the selective reflection to blue shift, which was an abnormal phenomenon in chiral mixture system.  相似文献

The synthesis and mesomorphic properties of novel non-symmetrical discotic dimers have been investigated. Dimers have been prepared by the combination of electron-deficient (n-type) anthraquinone and electron-rich (p-type) triphenylene discotic monomers. The mesophases have been characterised using polarising optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction. Most of the dimers have been shown to exhibit a rectangular columnar mesophase and one has a nematic columnar mesophase also. Charge transfer behaviour has been studied by UV–Vis spectroscopy.  相似文献

Abstract

Methoxy-isoporphyrins of zinc [5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)]porphyrin, ZnTSPP (1a) and zinc [5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)]porphyrin, ZnTCPP (1b) have been synthesized and characterized using standard spectroscopic techniques (Uv-visible, 1H NMR) , ESI-mass spectrometry and powder X-ray diffraction studies. The isoporphyrins [5-(methoxy)-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)-5H,15H-porphinato]zinc(II) (2a) and [5-(methoxy)-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)-5H,21H-porphinato]zinc(II) (2b) are formed due to nucleophilic attack of the methanol to the zinc porphyrin dication. Ceric ammonium nitrate (CAN) was used to oxidize zinc porphyrin and to form zinc porphyrin dication. The electronic spectra of the isoporphyrin complexes 2a and 2b exhibit an intense peak at near IR region . Electrochemical measurements of the synthesized isoporphyrins showed a typical irreversible reduction peak at lower potential. S-containing nucleophiles, which work as reducing agents, convert the zinc isoporphyrins to their parent porphyrins, which supports the electrochemical observations. Their structural properties have been studied using powder X-ray diffraction. The luminescence properties of isoporphyrins were compared with the parent zinc porphyrins.  相似文献

The novel triphenylene-Bodipy derivatives 6 and 7 based on 1,3,5-triazine core were designed and synthesised by introducing BODIPY unit and triphenylene units sequentially onto cyanuric chloride. The Bodipy derivative 6 with one triphenylene unit was a nematic liquid crystal but the derivative 7 with two triphenylene units was a hexagonal columnar liquid crystal. The investigation on photophysical properties suggested that both of them exhibited excellent fluorescence with high fluorescence quantum yields and the Stokes shifts were larger than their Bodipy precursors. This research presented a good example of design and synthesis of columnar Bodipy liquid crystal with high fluorescence and large Stokes shift.  相似文献

考察了以二环己基胺作配体的无膦钯催化Heck反应条件, 建立起一种新型的无膦钯催化Heck反应体系. 应用该体系可高收率(72%~84%)、高立体选择性(83%~95%)合成二取代和三取代二苯烯类化合物. 以2,4,5-三甲氧基苯乙烯、α-细辛脑为原料, 合成了4个尚未见文献报道的新型二苯烯类芳维A酸甲酯(3a, 3b, 4a, 4b), 并且在温和的水解体系[LiOH, V(THF)∶V(H2O)=5∶1]下顺利得到了它们的水解产物芳维A酸(5a, 5b, 6a, 6b), 产物通过1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR和MS进行了结构确认.  相似文献

Five new bent-shaped compounds based on the 2,5-disubstituted thiophene central core were successfully synthesised. The lengths of the rigid centres as well as the degree of conjugation were varied by coupling benzene, naphthalene and biphenyl systems to the thiophene through Sonogashira cross-coupling. The thermal, mesomorphic and optical properties of these variants were determined. Compounds 5a,b and 8a displayed liquid-crystalline smectic and nematic mesophases. Strong blue fluorescence was observed for the final compounds.  相似文献

o-Dihydroxy-4-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-chromenones (coumarins; 3a,b) were synthesised from 1,2,3-trihydroxy- or 1,2,4-triacetoxybenzenes through a reaction with ethyl 3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-oxopropanoate in H2SO4 or CF3COOH. The chromenone-crown ethers (4af) were prepared from the cyclic condensation of o-dihydroxy-4-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)chromenones (3a,b) with poly(ethylene glycol) ditosylates, in the presence of CH3CN/alkali carbonates. The chromatographically purified original chromenone-crown ethers were identified by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. The 1:1 binding constants of Li+, Na+ and K+ with the chromenone-crown ethers were estimated in acetonitrile using fluorescence emission spectroscopy. The complexing-enhanced fluorescence spectra and complexing-enhanced quenching fluorescence spectra, along with the cationic recognition rules of the crown ethers allowed the ion binding powers to be determined.  相似文献

Two new series of columnar liquid crystal materials based on tetra- and hexacatenar Schiff bases were synthesised by reaction of 4-aminophenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives with terephthalaldehyde (series 2a–f) and with 2,5-thiophenedicarbaldehyde (series 3a–f). The mesomorphic properties of these compounds were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarised optical microscopy (POM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The mesomorphic behaviour was found to be dependent on the nature of the central ring (benzene in series 2a–f, thiophene in series 3a–f), on length and on number of alkoxy chains. Both tetra- and hexacatenar compounds in series 2a–f display an enantiotropic hexagonal columnar phase. Whereas, in the case of the series 3, only the tetracatenar Schiff bases (3a, 3c and 3e) display enantiotropic hexagonal columnar mesomorphism, hexacatenar Schiff bases (3b, 3d and 3f) do not show mesomorphic properties. Photophysical studies were realised in solution and in solid state. Also, a thermogravimetric analysis was performed. A fibre obtained from compound 3b was analysed by POM showing that the mesophase is maintained in the fibre.  相似文献

Two isomeric enaminones were obtained by reaction of ethyl 2-hydroxy-4-(4-hydroxy-6-methyl2H-pyran-2-on-3-yl)-4-oxo-2-butenoate (1) and amines (aniline, benzylamine, butylamine and tyramine) in ethanol. The structures of isomers were studied by 13C and 1H NMR spectra, whereas in the case of isomers 2b, 3a, and 4a (Scheme 1), the crystal structures have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffractometry. The compounds 2b and 3a exist in the solid state as N–C=C–C=O, whereas 4a is in the N–C=C–C–OH tautomeric form (Scheme 2, form A and B, respectively). All three structures exhibit very short intramolecular hydrogen bonds of O–H···O [in the range 2.396(3) – 2.448(3) Å] and N–H···O [in the range 2.580(5) – 2.679(3) Å] type, that are reinforced by delocalization. The crystal structures are in addition stabilized by C–H···O weak hydrogen bonds. In 2b and 3a, the discrete dimers are formed by eight-membered ring containing hydrogen bonds; in 4a, the infinite chains along [1 0 1] direction are formed.  相似文献

设计合成了四种三苯基咪唑类化合物:4,5-二苯基-2-对甲酰基苯基咪唑(2a),4,5-二(2-硝基苯基)-2-对甲酰基苯基咪唑(2b),N-苄基-4,5-二苯基-2-对甲酰基苯基咪唑(2c)和N-苄基-4,5-二(2-硝基苯基)-2-对甲酰基苯基咪唑(2d),并用FT-IR,NMR和MS进行结构表征.在乙酸乙酯-石油醚溶液中获得了2c的单晶,用X射线单晶衍射法测定了其晶体结构,晶体属于三斜晶系,空间群P1,晶胞参数a=0.73796(15)nm,b=0.90136(18)nm,c=1.6644(3)nm,α=86.87(3)°,β=78.25(3)°,γ=89.94(3)°,V=1.0822(4)nm3,Dc=1.272g/cm3,Z=2,F(000)=436,μ=0.077mm-1,R1=0.0459,wR2=0.1303.研究了四种化合物的紫外与荧光性质,发现官能团硝基与苄基的引入,对其吸收峰和发射峰均有不同程度的影响:在紫外光谱中两种官能团均使吸收峰蓝移;在荧光光谱中苄基使发射峰蓝移而硝基使发射峰红移.测定了2a和2c在不同溶剂中的荧光寿命,其中2a在DMSO中寿命最长,为3.18ns.这些光谱性质为研究其双光子吸收、双光子荧光和非线性光学性质奠定了理论和实验基础.  相似文献
