We have demonstrated a direct arylation polycondensation of 3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene with 2,7‐dibromo‐9,9‐dioctylfluorene using palladium on carbon (Pd/C) as a catalyst. Pd/C is a low‐cost solid‐supported palladium catalyst, giving one of the effective catalytic systems for direct arylation. The Pd/C‐catalyzed direct arylation polycondensation with acetic acid/potassium carbonate in N,N‐dimethylacetamide furnished a high molecular weight π‐conjugated alternating copolymer of EDOT‐fluorene (Mn = 89,300, Mw/Mn = 3.27) in high yield. The polycondensation of EDOT with various dibromoarenes was also achieved, giving EDOT‐carbazole, EDOT‐dialylamine, and EDOT‐bithiophene polymers. Optical and electrochemical properties of the polymers were also discussed. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. Chem. 2016 , 55, 1183–1188  相似文献

Metallic palladium (Pd) electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) oxidation/reduction are prepared via electroplating on a gold metal substrate from dilute (5 to 50 mM) aqueous K2PdCl4 solution. The best Pd catalyst layer possessing dendritic nanostructures is formed on the Au substrate surface from 50 mM Pd precursor solution (denoted as Pd‐50) without any additional salt, acid or Pd templating chemical species. The Pd‐50 consisted of nanostructured dendrites of polycrystalline Pd metal and micropores within the dendrites which provide high catalyst surface area and further facilitate reactant mass transport to the catalyst surface. The electrocatalytic activity of Pd‐50 proved to be better than that of a commercial Pt (Pt/C) in terms of lower overpotential for the onset and half‐wave potentials and a greater number of electrons (n) transferred. Furthermore, amperometric it curves of Pd‐50 for H2O2 electrochemical reaction show high sensitivities (822.2 and ?851.9 µA mM?1 cm?2) and low detection limits (1.1 and 7.91 µM) based on H2O2 oxidation H2O2 reduction, respectively, along with a fast response (<1 s).  相似文献

Polyethylene glycols (PEGs) with different molecular weights (Mw = 200, 400, 1000) were phosphorylated to their bis‐diphenyl phosphinite derivatives as stable solids which are melted in the range 140–160°C. These phosphorylated PEGs were used as ligands and reducing agents to generate nano‐Pd(0) catalysts in 2.5–8.3 nm. The nano‐Pd(0) particles supported on phosphorylated PEG200 were applied for the efficient Heck–Mizoroki carbon–carbon coupling reactions of ArX (X = Cl, Br, I) at 80–100°C under solvent‐free conditions and for the Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction in ethanol at 70°C. The catalyst was recycled easily and reused for several runs. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Biaryls with excellent yields can be prepared by the Ullmann-type coupling of aryl halides in the presence of potassium carbonate (as a base) and dimethylformamide (as a solvent), at 140 °C, using a reusable Pd (2.5 wt%)/ZrO2 catalyst. The product yield of 4-iodoanisole coupling is strongly influenced by the catalyst preparation method, solvent, and base.  相似文献

Palladium/Vanadium (Pd/V) Schottky structures are fabricated on n‐type InP (100) and the electrical, structural and surface morphological characteristics have been studied at different annealing temperatures. The extracted barrier height of as‐deposited Pd/V/n‐InP Schottky diode is 0.59 eV (I–V) and 0.79 eV (C–V), respectively. However, the Schottky barrier height of the Pd/V Schottky contact slightly increases to 0.61 eV (I–V) and 0.84 eV (C–V) when the contact is annealed at 200 °C for 1 min. It is observed that the Schottky barrier height of the contact slightly decreases after annealing at 300, 400 and 500 °C for 1 min in N2 atmosphere. From the above observations, it is clear that the electrical characteristics of Pd/V Schottky contacts improve after annealing at 200 °C. This indicates that the optimum annealing temperature for the Pd/V Schottky contact is 200 °C. Basing on the auger electron spectroscopy and X‐ray diffraction results, the formation of Pd‐In intermetallic compound at the interface may be the reason for the increase of barrier height upon annealing at 200 °C. The formation of phosphide phases at the Pd/V/n‐InP interface could be the reason for the degradation in the barrier heights after annealing at 300, 400 and 500 °C. From the AFM results, it is evident that the overall surface morphology of the Pd/V Schottky contacts is fairly smooth. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Triazine-based heterogeneous Pd/Cu-bimetallodendrimer Nanoparticle (Pd/Cu-BMDNP) has been synthesized by sequential loading method from palladium containing metallodendrimer (Pd-MD) which was prepared by the reaction of 2,4,6-Triamine-1,3,5-triazine (melamine) with substituted benzoyl chloride using (Ph3P)2PdCl2 in DMSO at 90 °C. SEM and EDX of Pd/Cu-BMDNP showed the nanosized aggregated spherical surface morphology and the presence of Palladium and copper of the NP. Also, the phase was detected as Face Centered Cubic (FCC) structure by XRD analysis. In addition, the average particle size of Pd/Cu bimetallic catalyst was identified as 12–13 nm by TEM investigation. Greater thermal stability of Pd/Cu-BMDNP than Pd-MD was detected from TG and DSC experiments. The Pd-metallodendrimer has been also characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, SEM, EDX, Mass, TG and DSC techniques. The simple recoverability, high reusability, low amount of catalyst loading, negligible amount of catalyst leaching of the heterogeneous Pd/Cu-BMDNP have made more effective catalyst than homogeneous Pd-metallodendrimer for the C–C cross-coupling reaction such as Heck, Glaser, Sonogashira and Suzuki-Miyaura in excellent yields.  相似文献

Schottky rectifiers are fabricated on n‐type GaN using Ni/Pd metallization scheme and its characteristics have been investigated by current‐voltage (I‐V), Capacitance‐Voltage (C‐V), X‐Ray Diffraction (XRD) and SIMS measurements as a function of annealing temperature. The calculated Schottky barrier height of the as‐deposited contact was found to be 0.60 eV (I‐V), 0.71 eV (C‐V) with an ideality factor of 1.44. However, the barrier height slightly increases after annealing at 300, 400 and 500 °C. On the basis of the experimental results, a high‐quality Schottky contact with barrier height and ideality factor of 0.81 eV (I‐V), 0.88 eV (C‐V) and 1.13 respectively, can be obtained after annealing at 600 °C for 1 min in a nitrogen atmosphere. Further, after annealing at 700 °C, it is found that the barrier height slightly decreased to 0.74 eV (I‐V) and 0.85 eV (C‐V). From the above observations, one can note that Ni/Pd Schottky contact exhibits excellent electrical properties after a rapid thermal annealing at 600 °C. According to the SIMS and XRD analysis, the formation of gallide phases at the Ni/Pd/n‐GaN interface could be the reason of the barrier height increase at elevated annealing temperatures. The Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) results show that the overall surface morphology of Ni/Pd Schottky contacts on n‐GaN is fairly smooth. The above observations reveal that Ni/Pd Schottky metallization scheme was a good choice for the fabrication of high‐temperature and high‐power device applications. The polystyrene (PS) spheres having dual functional groups were synthesized using emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization based on St/potassium persulfate/water system in the presence of V-50 as co-initiator. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) confirms the presence of the sulfate and the amino groups on the surfaces of PS spheres. Transmission electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectra revealed that the PS spheres were successfully deposited with catalytic palladium (Pd) or gold (Au) nanoparticles (NPs). The reduction of 4-nitroaniline to 4-phenylenediamine used as a model reaction was performed for catalysis studies and examined by ultraviolet. It was found that both Au and Pd PS dispersions show high catalytic activity. The Pd PS dispersion of 200 μl with only Pd content of 1.09 wt.% exhibits an excellent catalytic effect superior to the commercial Pd/C catalyst, i.e., less than 35 s taken for the completion of the reduction of 4-nitroaniline.  相似文献

A 10 w/o Pd/C catalyst from Johnson Matthey has been examined by three different techniques: chemisorption, line broadening of X-ray diffraction, and TEM (transmission electron microscopy) to investigate the size of the palladium crystallites. The dispersion of this catalyst was determined to be 20%. Among these techniques, the X-ray diffraction was found to be the most convenient method. Through this method, the dispersion of Pd was found to decrease on catalyzing hydroxylamine reactions at 330 K. The deactivation of Pd/C for these reactions was correlated to the sintering of palladium. H2 chemisorption at 373 K was found to be a good way to accurately measure the number of active palladium sites in the Pd/C catalysts.  相似文献

Novel triarylamine‐based coordination‐saturated aryl Pd(II) halide complexes ligated by PEt3, PCy3, and P(o‐tol)3 were successfully synthesized by direct oxidative addition of aryl halide to the corresponding Pd(0) precursors. Suzuki–Miyaura coupling polymerization of 2‐(7‐halide‐9,9‐dioctylfluoren‐2‐yl)?1,3,2‐dioxaborinane with these Pd(II) complexes as initiators was investigated for the synthesis of poly(fluorene)s with triarylamine end group. Pd(II) complexes with PCy3 or P(o‐tol)3 exhibited catalytic activity and realized the catalyst‐transfer polycondensation at 75 °C and room temperature, respectively, while the polymerization using Pd(II) catalyst ligated by PEt3 did not proceed, which indicated that the bulky phosphine ligands could facilitate the reductive elimination and further promote the polymerization. In addition, the dimeric Pd(II) complex with P(o‐tol)3 can convert into monomeric Pd(II) intermediate with an open coordination site, which had a higher activity. The end groups of the afforded polyfluorene were analyzed by matrix‐assisted laser desorption ionization time‐of‐flight (MALDI‐TOF) mass spectrometry, in which the Ar/H end groups are indicative of the catalyst‐transfer polymerization.

Cleavage of a C N bond of imidazolium salt derived from N‐phenyl‐substituted proline was observed in this laboratory. A novel imidazole‐coordinated monodentate NHC–Pd(II) complex 5 was obtained as the sole product in good yield in the reaction of imidazolium salt 4 with Pd(OAc)2 in refluxing THF. The structure of complex 5 was determined unambiguously by an X‐ray diffraction. The complex was found to be a good catalyst in the cross‐coupling reaction of arylboronic acids with carboxylic acid anhydrides in water at room temperature. An N‐heterocyclic carbene and phosphite synergistically enhanced Pd/C catalyst system has been developed for Suzuki coupling of aryl chlorides and aryl boronic acids from commercially available Pd/C with sterically demanding N,N′‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)imidazolylidene and trimethylphosphite. A remarkable increase in catalytic activity of Pd/C was observed when used along with 1 equiv. N,N′‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)imidazolium chloride and 2 equiv. phosphite with respect to palladium in appropriate solvents that were found to play a crucial role in Pd/C‐NHC‐P(OR)3‐catalyzed Suzuki coupling. A dramatic ortho‐substitution effect of carbonyl and nitrile groups in aryl chlorides was observed and explained by a modified quasi‐heterogeneous catalysis mechanism. The Pd/C catalyst could be easily recovered from reaction mixtures by simple filtration and only low palladium contamination was detected in the biparyl products. A practical process for the synthesis of 4‐biphenylcarbonitrile has therefore been developed using the N‐heterocyclic carbene/phosphite‐assisted Pd/C‐catalyzed Suzuki coupling. The activity of [Pd(C6H4CH2 NH2‐κ2‐C‐N)PPh3MOBPPY]OTf complex, A (MOBPPY = 4‐methoxybenzoylmethylenetriphenyl‐ phosphoraneylide), was investigated in the Heck–Mizoroki C? C cross‐coupling reaction under conventional heating and microwave irradiation conditions. The complex is an active and efficient catalyst for the Heck reaction of aryl halides. The yields were excellent using a catalytic amount of [Pd(C6H4CH2 NH2‐κ2‐C‐N)PPh3MOBPPY]OTf complex in N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidinone (NMP) at 130 °C and 600 W. In comparison to conventional heating conditions, the reactions under microwave irradiation gave higher yields in shorter reaction times. Novel β-C-disaccharides containing a three carbon linkage using exo-glycal as the precursor were prepared stereoselectively. The synthesis was achieved by the tandem reactions of the stereoselective hydroboration of exo-glycal and Suzuki cross-coupling reaction with an iodovinyl sugar, and followed by hydrogenated deprotection under the catalysis of Pd(OH)2/C.  相似文献

The guanidine‐functionalized resin‐supported Pd(0) catalyst [GDR·Pd(0)] is highly active in Heck reaction of aryl bromides with acrylic acid or styrene without the need to exclude air. The catalyst can be recycled at least 9 times without significant loss of activity in N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone at 140 °C. The Heck reaction proceeds homogeneously with dissolved palladium species and the dissolved active palladium species can redeposit onto the surface of catalyst in the reaction. The XRD peak shifting of Pd phases in the catalyst provides the evidence for the re‐deposition of the active palladium species.  相似文献

A diamine monomer II , 2,5‐bis(4‐aminophenoxy)biphenyl, was prepared through a nucleophilic substitution reaction of phenylhydroquinone and p‐chloronitrobenzene in the presence of potassium carbonate in N,N‐dimethylformamide, followed by catalytic reduction with hydrazine and Pd/C. A series of all‐aromatic, organosoluble polyimides bearing pendent phenyl groups were synthesized from the diamine with six kinds of commercial dianhydrides via a conventional two‐stage process. For improving solubility of polypyromellitimide, copolypyromellitimides with arbitrary solubilities were prepared from II and a pair of dianhydrides, which were mixed at certain molar ratios. These polymers showed good solubilities in N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone and m‐cresol. The softening temperatures of these polyimides were recorded between 206 and 269 °C. Polymers had glass‐transition temperatures at 230–286 °C and 10% weight‐loss temperatures above 521 °C in air or nitrogen atmospheres. Their films had high tensile moduli and strengths. Excellent properties of these polyimides are attributed to the incorporation of the pendent phenyl group in diamine II . © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Palladium electrocatalysts, supported on Vulcan XC 72 carbon and indium tin oxide (ITO) with different ratios, were prepared by borohydride reduction method and analysed for glycerol electro‐oxidation application in the presence of KOH solution. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X‐ray diffraction (XRD) techniques were used to characterize the particle size and crystal electrocatalyst structures, whereas their catalytic activities regarding the glycerol electro‐oxidation were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry and tested in a direct alkaline glycerol fuel cell (DGFC) by electrochemical techniques. Micrographs results showed that the ITO presence promotes a large agglomeration of particles. Pd/C–ITO electrocatalysts showed peaks associated with the face‐centered cubic (fcc) structure of palladium and several others peaks associated with ITO used as support. Similar performance was found on all Pd/C–ITO electrocatalysts where measurements in CV were compared to Pd/C and Pd/ITO with Pd/C–ITO 50:50 chronoamperometry, presenting a better performance for glycerol electro‐oxidation. When using Pd/C–ITO 85:15 electrocatalyst and 1.0 mol L−1 glycerol at 90 °C, the maximum power density found was 2,1 times higher than that obtained using Pd/C and Pd/CITO electrocatalysts. Therefore, the physical mixture of ITO and carbon, to be used as a support improves the electrocatalytic activity for glycerol oxidation reaction.  相似文献

A new bis(phenoxy)naphthalene-containing diamine, 1,5-bis(4-aminophenoxy)naphthalene, was synthesized in two steps from the condensation of 1,5-dihydroxy-naphthalene with p-chloronitrobenzene in the presence of potassium carbonate, giving 1,5-bis(4-nitrophenoxy)naphthalene, followed by hydrazine hydrate/Pd? C reduction. A series of polyamides and copolyamides were synthesized by the direct polycondensation of the diamine with various aromatic dicarboxylic acids or with mixed dicarboxylic acids in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) using triphenyl phosphite and pyridine as condensing agents. The polymers having inherent viscosity of 0.81–1.25 dL/g were obtained in quantitative yield. Most of the polymers were generally soluble in aprotic solvent such as N,N-dimethylacetamide, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, etc. The polymers derived from rigid dicarboxylic acids such as terephthalic acid, naphthalene dicarboxylic acid, and 4,4′-biphenyldicarboxylic acid exhibited crystalline patterns. Glass transition temperatures of polymers were in the range of 230–360°C, and 10% weight loss temperatures in nitrogen and air were above 492 and 470°C, respectively. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

This work describes a mild and efficient approach for the synthesis of aryl amides via catalytic aminocarbonylation of aryl halides with alicyclic amines using a Pd(Pt Bu3)2/NH4Cl catalyst system. Under mild reaction temperature of 60°C and balloon pressure of CO, 5 mol% Pd(Pt Bu3)2 with a cheap NH4Cl promoter is sufficient for high yields of aryl amides. The influence of reaction parameters such as reaction temperature, ligand type and promoter on catalytic activity was investigated. This work also discusses the catalytic intermediates in detail, and provides a plausible mechanism based on an acid chloride intermediate.  相似文献
