Azaferrocene has two active sites of iron and nitrogen atoms. Drastic change of the oxidation state in iodine oxidation of azaferrocene is observed by introducing the methyl substituents into the pyrrole ring, while all the N-methylates show a similar electronic state. It was revealed that an introduction of methyl substituent to the pyrrole ring promotes the oxidation of nitrogen atom in pyrrole ring more than the central iron atom.  相似文献

Several aspects of the application of silver electrode to the electrochemical studies of hemoglobin have been discussed in this paper . The silver electrode could not only be used directly as the electrode for the electrochemical studies of hemoglobin, but also react with phenothiazine and benzimidazole to give stable and useful mediator-coated electrodes. In addition, the silver electrode could help sodium dodecyl sulfate to give full play to its promoting effect on the protein.  相似文献

One may call dynamical polarization of doubly excited configurations the energy lowering of these configurations under the response of the other electrons to the so-created fluctuation of the electric field. This contribution of triply excited configurations may be identified and calculated through a computation that only requires a computation time proportional to the sixth power of the number of molecular orbitals (MOs), instead of the seventh power for the total contribution of the triples. The eigenvectors of the electronic stress tensor can be used to identify where new bond paths form in a chemical reaction. In cases where the eigenvectors of the stress tensor are not available, the gradient-expansion-approximation suggests using the eigenvalues of the second derivative tensor of the electron density instead; this approximation can be made quantitatively accurate by scaling and shifting the second-derivative tensor, but it has a weaker physical basis and less predictive power for chemical reactivity than the stress tensor. These tools provide an extension of the quantum theory of atoms and molecules from the characterization of molecular electronic structure to the prediction of chemical reactivity.  相似文献

In this paper the embedded zerotree wavelet (EZW) method and Huffinan coding are proposed to compress infrared (IR) spectra. We found that this technique is much better than others in terms of efficiently coding wavelet coefficients because the zerotree quantization is an effective way of exploiting the self-similarities of wavelet coefficients at various resolutions.  相似文献

The four stereoisomers of Δ2-isoxazoline 2, a β-adrenergic receptor antagonist structurally related to Falintolol 1, were prepared by an enzyme-catalyzed kinetic resolution of the unsaturated secondary alcohol (±)-7 followed by its cycloaddition to pyruvonitrile oxide. Through this strategy, diastereomeric aminoalcohols (+)-2a/(−)-2b and (−)-2a/(+)-2b were obtained in 99 and 92% enantiomeric excess, respectively. The absolute configuration to the target compounds was assigned via chemical correlation to the enantiomers of epoxides 4a and 4b, whose stereochemistry had been previously established.  相似文献

Synthetic oleananes and seco-oleananes form a group of promising anti-inflammatory and cancer chemopreventive agents with an excellent safety profile. These compounds are usually prepared by semi-synthesis from natural oleanane triterpenoids. Since a taraxer-14-ene was reported to be rearranged into an olean-12-ene under mild reaction conditions, a rapid synthesis of seco-oleananes from taraxerone, which is a readily available starting material, was explored by us. Treatment of taraxerone with m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid gave 14,15-epoxy lactones, which underwent the taraxerane–oleanane rearrangement leading to new seco-oleanane triterpenoids.  相似文献

Gas chromatographic analysis of ethyl chloroformate derivatives of samples taken from the paint layers of post-Byzantine panel paintings permitted the successful characterisation of the different binding media used in them. This paper describes an analytical study of various post-Byzantine binding media such as egg yolk and egg/oil emulsion, using gas chromatography. The characterisation of these icons’ binding media is an important task, as it contributes to our understanding of and the reconstruction of the post-Byzantine artists’ palette. It also enables us to investigate the validity of our assumptions about the influences of Venetian style on Greek icon painting techniques from the sixteenth to the early nineteenth century, which up to now have been based on information in artists’ handbooks. The methodology involves two experimental steps: (1) hydrolysis of the proteins and triglycerides in the binding media to obtain free amino acids and fatty acids, and (2) the formation of ethyl chloroformate derivatives via derivatization with ethyl chloroformate (ECF). This methodology is of considerable interest, since it permits the identifcation of the nature of the proteinaceous binders used in these works through the simultaneous derivatization and determination of amino acids and fatty acids. Advantages of this methodology include the small quantity of sample required and the minimum preparation time involved. The proteinaceous media can be determined based on the ratios of seven stable amino acids, while the type of emulsions and drying oils used can be determined from the fatty acid ratio. Abstract

The trichloroacetimidate method has been applied to the construction of α-d-galacto- and α-d-glucopyranosides. The readily available β-trichloroacetimidates of 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-benzyl-d-galacto- and glucopyranose (1-β and 3-β, respectively) have been employed in glycosidations with several monosaccharides (either A, B, C or D) under varying experimental conditions. With the galactose derivative 1-β as a donor and each of the monosaccharides A-D as acceptors, the corresponding disaccharides 1A-1D, were obtained in high yield and with good α-stereoselectivity when employing diethyl ether as solvent and either trimethylsilyl- or tert-butyldimethylsilyl trifluoro-methane sulphonate as catalyst. Glycosidations with the glucose derivative 3-β, as donor, and with the monosaccharide acceptors A, B or D, gave the corresponding disaccharides 3A, 3B and 3D, in high yield but with somewhat lower α-diastereoselectivity than observed with the galactose derivative 1-β. The stereochemical outcome of the reactions is rationalised in terms of possible reaction mechanisms.  相似文献

The reaction of ebselen and its derivatives (1-7) with peroxynitrite anion (ONOO(-); PN) has been studied in gas phase and in aqueous, dichloromethane, benzene, and cyclohexane solutions using B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) and PCM-B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) approaches, respectively. It was shown that the reaction of 2 (R=H) with PN proceeds via 2 + PN --> 2-PN --> 2-TS1 (O-O activation) --> 2-O(NO(2)(-)()) --> 2-SeO + NO(2)(-) pathway with a rate-determining barrier of 25.3 (14.8) kcal/mol at the NO(2)(-) dissociation step (numbers presented without parentheses are enthalpies, and those in parentheses are Gibbs free energies). The NO(3)(-) formation process, starting from the complex 2-O(NO(2)(-)()), requires by (7.9) kcal/mol more energy than the NO(2)(-) dissociation process and is unlikely to compete with the latter. Thus, in the gas phase, the peroxynitrite --> nitrate isomerization catalyzed by complex 2 is unlikely to occur. It is shown that the NO(3)(-) formation process is slightly more favorably than the NO(2)(-) dissociation process for complex 4, with a strongest electron-withdrawing ligand R=CF(3). Therefore, complex 4 (as well as complex 6 with R=OH) is predicted to be a good catalyst for peroxynitrite <--> nitrite isomerization in the gas phase. Solvent effects (a) change the rate-determining step of the reaction 2 + PN from NO(2)(-) dissociation in the gas phase to O-O activation, which occurs with barriers of (13.9), (8.4), (8.4), and (8.2) kcal/mol in water, dichloromethane, benzene, and cyclohexane, respectively, and (b) significantly reduce the NO(2)(-) dissociation energy, while only slightly destabilizing the NO(3)(-) formation barrier, and make the peroxynitrite <--> nitrate isomerization process practically impossible, even for complex 4.  相似文献

Many biological processes depend on protein-based interactions, which are governed by central regions with higher binding affinities, the hot-spots. The O-ring theory or the “Water Exclusion” hypothesis states that the more deeply buried central regions are surrounded by areas, the null-spots, whose role would be to shelter the hot-spots from the bulk solvent. Although this theory is well-established for protein–protein interfaces, its applicability to other protein interfaces remains unclear. Our goal was to verify its applicability to protein–DNA interfaces. We performed Molecular Dynamics simulations in explicit solvent of several protein–DNA complexes and measured a variety of solvent accessible surface area (SASA) features, as well as, radial distribution functions of hot-spots and null-spots. Our aim was to test the influence of water in their coordination sphere. Our results show that hot-spots tend to have fewer water molecules in their neighborhood when compared to null-spots, and higher values of ΔSASA, which confirms their occlusion from solvent. This study provides evidence in support of the O-ring theory with its applicability to a new type of protein-based interface: protein–DNA.  相似文献
