The least-squares linear inverse estimation problem for random fields is studied in a fractional generalized framework. First, the second-order regularity properties of the random fields involved in this problem are analysed in terms of the fractional Sobolev norms. Second, the incorporation of prior information in the form of a fractional stochastic model, with covariance operator bicontinuous with respect to a certain fractional Sobolev norm, leads to a regularization of this problem. Third, a multiresolution approximation to the class of linear inverse problems considered is obtained from a wavelet-based orthogonal expansion of the input and output random models. The least-squares linear estimate of the input random field is then computed using these orthogonal wavelet decompositions. The results are applied to solving two important cases of linear inverse problems defined in terms of fractional integral operators.  相似文献

Fractal Gaussian models have been widely used to represent the singular behavior of phenomena arising in different applied fields; for example, fractional Brownian motion and fractional Gaussian noise are considered as monofractal models in subsurface hydrology and geophysical studies Mandelbrot [The Fractal Geometry of Nature, Freeman Press, San Francisco, 1982 [13]]. In this paper, we address the problem of least-squares linear estimation of an intrinsic fractal input random field from the observation of an output random field affected by fractal noise (see Angulo et al. [Estimation and filtering of fractional generalised random fields, J. Austral. Math. Soc. A 69 (2000) 1-26 [2]], Ruiz-Medina et al. [Fractional generalized random fields on bounded domains, Stochastic Anal. Appl. 21 (2003a) 465-492], Ruiz-Medina et al. [Fractional-order regularization and wavelet approximation to the inverse estimation problem for random fields, J. Multivariate Anal. 85 (2003b) 192-216]. Conditions on the fractality order of the additive noise are studied to obtain a bounded inversion of the associated Wiener-Hopf equation. A stable solution is then obtained in terms of orthogonal bases of the reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces associated with the random fields involved. Such bases are constructed from orthonormal wavelet bases (see Angulo and Ruiz-Medina [Multiresolution approximation to the stochastic inverse problem, Adv. in Appl. Probab. 31 (1999) 1039-1057], Angulo et al. [Wavelet-based orthogonal expansions of fractional generalized random fields on bounded domains, Theoret. Probab. Math. Stat. (2004), in press]). A simulation study is carried out to illustrate the influence of the fractality orders of the output random field and the fractal additive noise on the stability of the solution derived.  相似文献

Our purpose is to characterize the multiparameter Gaussian processes, that is Gaussian sheets, that are equivalent in law to the Brownian sheet and to the fractional Brownian sheet. We survey multiparameter analogues of the Hitsuda, Girsanov and Shepp representations. As an application, we study a special type of stochastic equation with linear noise.   相似文献

Evanescent random fields arise as a component of the 2D Wold decomposition of homogeneous random fields. Besides their theoretical importance, evanescent random fields have a number of practical applications, such as in modeling the observed signal in the space-time adaptive processing (STAP) of airborne radar data. In this paper we derive an expression for the rank of the low-rank covariance matrix of a finite dimension sample from an evanescent random field. It is shown that the rank of this covariance matrix is completely determined by the evanescent field spectral support parameters, alone. Thus, the problem of estimating the rank lends itself to a solution that avoids the need to estimate the rank from the sample covariance matrix. We show that this result can be immediately applied to considerably simplify the estimation of the rank of the interference covariance matrix in the STAP problem.  相似文献

A sharp regularity theory is established for homogeneous Gaussian fields on the unit circle. Two types of characterizations for such a field to have a given almost-sure uniform modulus of continuity are established in a general setting. The first characterization relates the modulus to the field's canonical metric; the full force of Fernique's zero-one laws and Talagrand's theory of majorizing measures is required. The second characterization ties the modulus to the field's random Fourier series representation. As an application, it is shown that the fractional stochastic heat equation has, up to a non-random constant, a given spatial modulus of continuity if and only if the same property holds for a fractional antiderivative of the equation's additive noise; a random Fourier series characterization is also given.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence of martingale solutions of stochastic 3D Navier-Stokes equations with jump, and following Flandoli and Romito (2008) [7] and Goldys et al. (2009) [8], we prove the existence of Markov selections for the martingale solutions.  相似文献

We consider random fields defined by finite-region conditional probabilities depending on a neighborhood of the region which changes with the boundary conditions. To predict the symbols within any finite region, it is necessary to inspect a random number of neighborhood symbols which might change according to the value of them. In analogy with the one-dimensional setting we call these neighborhood symbols the context associated to the region at hand. This framework is a natural extension, to d-dimensional fields, of the notion of variable length Markov chains introduced by Rissanen [24] in his classical paper. We define an algorithm to estimate the radius of the smallest ball containing the context based on a realization of the field. We prove the consistency of this estimator. Our proofs are constructive and yield explicit upper bounds for the probability of wrong estimation of the radius of the context.  相似文献

We estimate the drift parameter in a simple linear model driven by fractional Brownian motion. We propose maximum likelihood estimators (MLE) for the drift parameter construct by using a random walk approximation of the fractional Brownian motion.  相似文献

The monotone rearrangement of a function is the non-decreasing function with the same distribution. The convex rearrangement of a smooth function is obtained by integrating the monotone rearrangement of its derivative. This operator can be applied to regularizations of a stochastic process to measure quantities of interest in econometrics.A multivariate generalization of these operators is proposed, and the almost sure convergence of rearrangements of regularized Gaussian fields is given. For the fractional Brownian field or the Brownian sheet approximated on a simplicial grid, it appears that the limit object depends on the orientation of the simplices.  相似文献

Transferring the concept of processes with weakly stationary increments to arbitrary locally compact Abelian groups two closely related notions arise: while intrinsically stationary random fields can be seen as a direct analog of intrinsic random functions of order kk applied by G. Matheron in geostatistics, stationarizable random fields arise as a natural analog of definitizable functions in harmonic analysis. We concentrate on intrinsically stationary random fields related to finite-dimensional, translation-invariant function spaces, establish an orthogonal decomposition of random fields of this type, and present spectral representations for intrinsically stationary as well as stationarizable random fields using orthogonal vector measures.  相似文献

Ultraslow diffusion is a physical model in which a plume of diffusing particles spreads at a logarithmic rate. Governing partial differential equations for ultraslow diffusion involve fractional time derivatives whose order is distributed over the interval from zero to one. This paper develops the stochastic foundations for ultraslow diffusion based on random walks with a random waiting time between jumps whose probability tail falls off at a logarithmic rate. Scaling limits of these random walks are subordinated random processes whose density functions solve the ultraslow diffusion equation. Along the way, we also show that the density function of any stable subordinator solves an integral equation (5.15) that can be used to efficiently compute this function.  相似文献

In this article we introduce cylindrical fractional Brownian motions in Banach spaces and develop the related stochastic integration theory. Here a cylindrical fractional Brownian motion is understood in the classical framework of cylindrical random variables and cylindrical measures. The developed stochastic integral for deterministic operator valued integrands is based on a series representation of the cylindrical fractional Brownian motion, which is analogous to the Karhunen–Loève expansion for genuine stochastic processes. In the last part we apply our results to study the abstract stochastic Cauchy problem in a Banach space driven by cylindrical fractional Brownian motion.  相似文献

Microstructure noise in the continuous case: The pre-averaging approach   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
This paper presents a generalized pre-averaging approach for estimating the integrated volatility, in the presence of noise. This approach also provides consistent estimators of other powers of volatility — in particular, it gives feasible ways to consistently estimate the asymptotic variance of the estimator of the integrated volatility. We show that our approach, which possesses an intuitive transparency, can generate rate optimal estimators (with convergence rate n−1/4n1/4).  相似文献

The paper concerns itself with establishing large deviation principles for a sequence of stochastic integrals and stochastic differential equations driven by general semimartingales in infinite-dimensional settings. The class of semimartingales considered is broad enough to cover Banach space-valued semimartingales and the martingale random measures. Simple usable expressions for the associated rate functions are given in this abstract setup. As illustrated through several concrete examples, the results presented here provide a new systematic approach to the study of large deviation principles for a sequence of Markov processes.  相似文献

The concept of fractional differentiation of stochastic processes introduced in Part I is translated to fractional densities of random measures. Thereby we consider self-affine random measures in the constructive and the axiomatic sense. Occupation measures and local time measures of self-affine random fields are special examples.  相似文献

In this work we construct a Markov family of martingale solutions for 3D stochastic Navier–Stokes equations (SNSE) perturbed by Lévy noise with periodic boundary conditions. Using the Kolmogorov equations of integrodifferential type associated with the SNSE perturbed by Lévy noise, we construct a transition semigroup and establish the existence of a unique invariant measure. We also show that it is ergodic and strongly mixing.  相似文献

The problem of optimal prediction in the stochastic linear regression model with infinitely many parameters is considered. We suggest a prediction method that outperforms asymptotically the ordinary least squares predictor. Moreover, if the random errors are Gaussian, the method is asymptotically minimax over ellipsoids in ?2. The method is based on a regularized least squares estimator with weights of the Pinsker filter. We also consider the case of dynamic linear regression, which is important in the context of transfer function modeling.  相似文献

Summary. The analytic treatment of problems related to the asymptotic behaviour of random dynamical systems generated by stochastic differential equations suffers from the presence of non-adapted random invariant measures. Semimartingale theory becomes accessible if the underlying Wiener filtration is enlarged by the information carried by the orthogonal projectors on the Oseledets spaces of the (linearized) system. We study the corresponding problem of preservation of the semimartingale property and the validity of a priori inequalities between the norms of stochastic integrals in the enlarged filtration and norms of their quadratic variations in case the random element F enlarging the filtration is real valued and possesses an absolutely continuous law. Applying the tools of Malliavin’s calculus, we give smoothness conditions on F under which the semimartingale property is preserved and a priori martingale inequalities are valid. Existence and uniqueness of the mild solutions for stochastic differential equations for Hilbert valued stochastic processes are discussed, with the multiplicative noise term given by an integral with respect to a general compensated Poisson random measure. Parts of the results allow for coefficients which can depend on the entire past path of the solution process. In the Markov case Yosida approximations are also discussed, as well as continuous dependence on initial data, and coefficients. The case of coefficients that besides the dependence on the solution process have also an additional random dependence is also included in our treatment. All results are proven for processes with values in separable Hilbert spaces. Differentiable dependence on the initial condition is proven by adapting a method of S. Cerrai.  相似文献
