Alperin and Broug have given the p-subpairs in a finite group, and proved that there is a Sylow theorem for p-subpairs. For a π-separable group with π-Hall subgroup nilpotent, we prove that there is a π-Sylow theorem for π-subpairs. In this paper we prove the interior gradient and second derivative estimates for a class of fully nonlinear elliptic equations determined by symmetric functions of eigenvalues of the Ricci or Schouten tensors. As an application we prove the existence of solutions to the equations when the manifold is locally conformally flat or the Ricci curvature is positive.  相似文献

The interior Dirichlet problem for Laplace's equation on a plane polygonal region $\Omega$ with boundary $\Gamma$ may be reformulated as a second kind integral equation on $\Gamma$. This equation may be solved by the Nyström method using the composite trapezoidal rule. It is known that if the mesh has $O(n)$ points and is graded appropriately, then $O(1/n^2)$ convergence is obtained for the solution of the integral equation and the associated solution to the Dirichlet problem at any $x\in \Omega$. We present a simple extrapolation scheme which increases these rates of convergence to $O(1/n^4)$ .  相似文献

This article is concerned with the analysis of the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method (DGFEM) applied to the space semidiscretization of a nonstationary convection–diffusion problem with nonlinear convection and nonlinear diffusion. Optimal estimates in the L (L 2)-norm are derived for the symmetric interior penalty (SIPG) scheme in two dimensions. The error analysis is carried out for nonconforming triangular meshes under the assumption that the exact solution of the problem and the solution of a linearized elliptic dual problem are sufficiently regular.  相似文献

A general ring means an associative ring with or without identity.An idempotent e in a general ring I is called left (right) semicentral if for every x ∈ I,xe=exe (ex=exe).And I is called semiabelian if every idempotent in I is left or right semicentral.It is proved that a semiabelian general ring I is π-regular if and only if the set N (I) of nilpotent elements in I is an ideal of I and I /N (I) is regular.It follows that if I is a semiabelian general ring and K is an ideal of I,then I is π-regular if and only if both K and I /K are π-regular.Based on this we prove that every semiabelian GVNL-ring is an SGVNL-ring.These generalize several known results on the relevant subject.Furthermore we give a characterization of a semiabelian GVNL-ring.  相似文献

In this paper we describe a method to map stochastic π-calculus processes in chemical ground form into hybrid automata. Hybrid automata are tools widely employed to model systems characterized by both discrete and continuous evolution and their use in the context of Systems Biology allows us to address rather fundamental issues. Specifically, the key ingredient we use in this work is the possibility granted by hybrid automata to implement a separation of control and molecular terms in biochemical systems. The computational counterpart of our analysis turns out to be related to the determination of conservation properties of the system.   相似文献
