Metal-bis(dithiolene) complexes derived from Ni(II), Co(II), Pd(II), Pt(II) and Au(III), bearing butyl aliphatic chains have been synthesized, and fully characterized by a variety of spectroscopic techniques including NMR, UV-vis, IR, HRMS, CV, and X-ray diffraction studies. This comparative study made possible to establish that the Co(II) species appear to be dimeric in the solid state as well as in solution. On the other hand, the coordination complexes based on Ni(II), Pd(II), Pt(II) and Au(III), feature a monomeric structure in both solution and solid state. These metal-bis(dithiolene) complexes are remarkably stable in solution and, in stark contrast to precedents in the literature, they retain their square planar geometry even in presence of pyridine derivatives reported for their apical binding on metal-bis(dithiolene) complexes.  相似文献

The 15N NMR data for 105 complexes of Pd(II), Pt(II), Au(III), Co(III), Rh(III), Ir(III), Pd(IV), and Pt(IV) complexes with simple azines such as pyridine, 2,2'-bipyridine, 1,10-phenanthroline, quinoline, isoquinoline, 2,2'-biquinoline, 2,2':6', 2'-terpyridine and their alkyl or aryl derivatives have been reviewed. The 15N NMR coordination shifts, i.e. the differences between the 15N chemical shifts of the same nitrogen in the molecules of the complex and the ligand (Delta(15N) (coord) = delta(15N) (compl)--delta(15N) (lig)), have been related to some structural features of the reviewed coordination compounds, like the type of the central ion and the character of auxiliary ligands (mainly in trans position). These Delta(15N) (coord) parameters are negative, their absolute magnitudes (ca 30-150 ppm) generally increasing in the metal order Au(III) < Pd(II) < Pt(II) and Rh(III) < Co(III) < Pt(IV) < Ir(III), as well as with the enhanced trans influence of the other donor atoms (H, C < Cl < N).  相似文献

Mononuclear and polynuclear chelates of potassium picolinoyldithiocarbazate (KHPcDC) with Mn(II), Fe(ll1), Fe(II), Co(Il), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II), Pd(II) and U(VI)O2 have been prepared and characterized by chemical and thermal (TG, DTG, DTA) analyses, molar conductivities, spectral (UV-Visible, IR, NMR, ESR) and magnetic moment measurements. The molar conductivities of the complexes lie in the non-electrolyte range whilst KHPcDC is a 1:1 electrolyte. Changes in selected vibrational absorption of the ligand upon coordination indicate that KHPcDC behaves as monoanionic and coordinates in a bidentate, tridentate and/or bridging tetradentate manner. Trans-form structure is proposed for [Pd(HPcDC)2] x 2H20 and [Cd(HPcDC)2] complexes on the basis of NMR data. An octahedral structure is proposed for Fe(III), Fe(II) and Ni(II) complexes, a square-planar structure for Co(II) and Pd(II) complexes and a tetragonally distorted octahedral structure for the Cu(II) chelate on the basis of spectroscopic and magnetic data. The ligand field parameters (B, Dq, beta) for the Fe(III) and Ni(II) chelates were calculated. TG, DTG and DTA studies support the different modes of chelation of KHPcDC. The solid metal acetate chelates have a unique decomposition exotherm profile which can be used as a rapid and sensitive tool for the detection of acetate-containing complexes.  相似文献

Complexes of the title ligand with Cu(I), Ag(I), Au(I), Pd(II), Pt(II), Rh(III), and rare examples with Ni(II) and Co(III) have been prepared and characterised by analysis, IR, UV-vis, 1H, 63Cu and 59Co NMR spectroscopy and ES+ mass spectrometry as appropriate. The structures of [Cu[1,2-C6H4(CH2SbMe2)2]2]BF4, [PtCl2[1,2-C6H4(CH2SbMe2)2]], [M[1,2-C6H4(CH2SbMe2)2]2][PF6]2 (M = Pd or Pt), and [NiI[1,2-C6H4(CH2SbMe2)2]2]ClO4 have been determined, and the varying chelate bite and conformations of the xylyl backbone in these structures are discussed. Despite the unfavourable seven-membered chelate ring and the large soft antimony donors, 1,2-C6H4(CH2SbMe2)2 proves to be a surprisingly good ligand for late transition metals in medium oxidation states.  相似文献

Ruthenium(III) has been efficiently extracted from 0.05 M sodium succinate at pH 9.5 by 2-octylaminopyridine in xylene and stripped with aqueous 10% (w/v) thiourea solution and determined spectrophotometrically. Various parameters viz., pH, weak acid concentration, reagent concentration, stripping agents, contact time, loading capacity, aq.: org. volume ratio, solvent has been thoroughly investigated for quantitative extraction of ruthenium(III). The utility of method was analyzed by separating the ruthenium(III) from binary mixture along with the base metals like Cu(II), Ag(I), Fe(II), Co(II), Bi(III), Zn(II), Ni(II), Se(IV), Te(IV), Al(III) and Hg(II) as well as platinum group metals (PGMs). Ruthenium(III) was also separated from ternary mixtures like Os(VIII), Pd(II); Pd(II), Pt(IV); Pd(II), Au(III); Pd(II), Cu(II); Fe(II), Cu(II); Ni(II), Cu(II); Co(II), Ni(II); Se(IV), Te(IV); Rh(III), Pd(II); Fe(III), Os(VIII). The stoichiometry 1: 2: 1 (metal: succinate: extractant) of the proposed complex was determined by slope analysis method by plotting graph of logD [Ru(III)] versus logC [2-OAP] and logD [Ru(III)] versus logC [succinate]. The interference of various cations and anions has been studied in detail and the statistical evaluations of the experimental results are reported. The method was successfully applied for the analysis of ruthenium in various catalysts, synthetic mixtures corresponding to the composition of alloys and minerals.  相似文献

The coordination chemistry of the recently synthesized 2,5-pyrroledicarboxaldehyde has been investigated. The ligand reacts with metal ions only in basic media in which the pyrrole nitrogen is deprotonated. In the ionic form the ligand is bidentate using the pyrrolate nitrogen and an oxygen of one of the two aldehyde groups. The results of the reactions of the dialdehyde with Ni(II), Cu(II), Co(II), CO(III), Fe(III), Pd(II) and Pt(II) are reported.  相似文献

Complexes of Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Pd(II), Pt(II), Ru(III) and Ir(III) with a sixteen-membered 1,5:11,15-dimetheno-2,4,10,12-tetramethyl-[1,5,9,13]-tetraazahexadeca-1,3,5,6,10,11,13,15,16,20-decene macrocyclic ligand have been synthesized. These complexes are characterized by magnetic moment, infrared, electronic, EPR and mössbauer spectral studies. All of complexes were found to have six-coordinated octahedral geometry and are of the high spin type except for the Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes which are four coordinate, square planar and diamagnetic.  相似文献

Summary Synthesis of MHNAMT [3-methyl-4-(2-hydroxy-1 naphthalideneamino)-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole] and its IR and NMR spectral data are reported. The high stability of the characteristically coloured chelates with Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Pd(II), Pt(IV) and Rh(III) has been made the basis for their efficient ascending TLC separations on silica gel G layers, when present together. Results of three different solvent systems are included to assess efficient resolution of the chelates.  相似文献

The use of 2-(6-methyl-2-benzothiazolylazo)-5-diethylaminophenolas a precolumn derivatizing reagent in the reversed-phase high performance liquid Chromatographic separation and determination of Ru(III), Rh(III), Os(IV), Ir(IV), Pt(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) is reported. When the mobile phase consists of methanol-water (76/24% v/v) and 20 mmol/l (pH 5.0) acetate buffer, the eight complexes can be separated within 35 min on a C8 column. The detection limits are Ru 7.0, Rh 5.1, Os 1.5, Ir 7.6, Pt 3.7, Co 0.62, Ni 0.14 and Cu 1.2 ng/ml, respectively, at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. RSDs were typically Ca. 1%.  相似文献

Abstract

Suitable methods have been worked out for the separation and determination of various groups of similar metal ions in mixtures, employing a combination of thin-layer chromatography and ring colorimetry. Solvent mixtures employed were: n-butanol + 12N HCl + dioxan (5:1:4); n-butanol + 6N HCl + dioxan (5:1:4); hexanol + dioxan + acetic acid + water (160:10:2:40); methanol + water (9:1 and 7:3). The following mixtures of cations were separated by TLC and the separated constituents were subsequently determined by ring colorimetry: Fe(III)- Co(II)- Cu(II)- Pb(II)- Ni(II); Pt(IV)- Co(II)- Cu(II)- Pd(II)- Ni(II); Ag(I)- Ni(II)- Co(II)- Fe(III); Cu(II)- Ni(II)- Bi(III); Cu(II)- Bi(III)- Hg(II).  相似文献

The extraction of Pt, Pd, Ir, Rh, Ru, Ag, Au, Co, Cu, Ni and Fe with n-octylaniline has been investigated. Noble metals are extracted 10(3)-10(4) times better than Cu, Ni, Co and Fe. A method of determination of Pt, Pd, Ir, Rh and Ru is proposed. They are first separated from Cu, Ni, Co and Fe by means of extraction (and then determined, in either the aqueous or organic phase, by atomic-absorption spectrophotometry. The atomic absorption of platinum metals (with the exception of Pd) is affected by other elements of the platinum group and by non-noble metals. La(NO(3))(3) and Nd(NO(3))(3) lower the limit of detection for Pt, Rh, Ir and Ru and inhibit the effect of Co, Cu, Ni, Fe, Bi, Zn, Na, etc. on their determination. Lanthanum and neodymium chlorides and sulphates produce a similar effect but only on the determination of Pt and Rh. The coefficient of variation of the determination, in both phases, is within 2-6.8%.  相似文献

Potentiometric and spectroscopic data have shown that octarepeat dimer and tetramer are much more effective ligands for Cu(II) ions than simple octapeptide. Thus, the whole N-terminal segment of prion protein due to cooperative effects, could be more effective in binding of Cu(II) than simple peptides containing a His residue. The gain of the Cu(II) binding by longer octarepeat peptides derives from the involvement of up to four imidazoles in the coordination of the first Cu(II) ion. This type of binding increases the order of the peptide structure, which allows successive metal ions for easier coordination.  相似文献

The chloroform extraction of 32 elements (Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Cd, Ge, Sn, Pb, V, As, Sb, Bi, Cu, Ag, Au, Mn, Re, Ga, In, Tl, Ce, Se, Te, Cr, Mo, U, Pt, Pd, Rh, Ir, Ru and Os) from O.1-10M hydrochloric acid media in the presence of potassium ethyl xanthate has been studied. The oxidation states in which some elements react, and potential analytical separations, are discussed. Pd(II), As(III) and Se(IV) are completely extracted as ethyl xanthate complexes, Te(IV) is almost completely extracted, and Au(III) is largely extracted over the range of acid concentration investigated. Mn(II), Zn, Rh(III), Ir(IV), Ru(III), Os(IV), Cr(III), Cr(VI), Ce(III) and Ce(IV) are not extracted. Ge is partly extracted from 6-10M media as the chloro-complex. Depending on the acid concentration, the remaining elements are all partially extracted as xanthate complexes.  相似文献

Depending on the acid concentration, the remaining elements are all partly extracted. Results are compared with those obtained in an earlier study of the extraction of xanthate complexes from hydrochloric acid media. The processes involved in the formation of some xanthate complexes and potential analytical separations are discussed.  相似文献

Novel complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Pd(II) with the new ligand [N,N'-bis(2-carboxy-1-oxo-phenelenyl)ethylenediamine] (H2L) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, thermal, infrared, electronic, 1H NMR and EPR spectral studies. Infrared and 1H NMR spectra show that H2L acts as a binegative tetradentate ligand. Coordination occurs through deprotonated carboxylate oxygens and nondeprotonated amido nitrogens in all the complexes. Electronic spectral studies and magnetic moment values suggest N2O2 coordination around each metal centre with strong field square planar chromophores. The probable structures of the complexes have been assigned on the basis of spectral studies. The complex formation between M(II) [M(II) = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)] and (L2-) has also been studied potentiometrically in 75% aqueous DMF at 25 degrees C in 0.1 M NaClO4. The stability constants were found to follow the order: Mn(II) < Co(II) < Ni(II) < Cu(II) > Zn(II).  相似文献

Metal-mediated formation of C-O bonds is an important transformation that can occur by a variety of mechanisms. Recent studies suggest that oxygen-atom insertion into metal-hydrocarbyl bonds in a reaction that resembles the Baeyer-Villiger transformation is a viable process. In an effort to identify promising new systems, this study is designed to assess the impact of metal identity on such O-atom insertions for the reaction [(bpy)(x)M(Me)(OOH)](n) → [(bpy)(x)M(OMe)(OH)](n) (x = 1 or 2; bpy = 2,2'-bipyridyl; n is varied to maintain the d-electron count at d(6) or d(8)). Six d(8)-square-planar complexes (M = Pt(II), Pd(II), Ni(II), Ir(I), Rh(I), and Co(I)) and eight d(6)-octahedral systems (M = Ir(III), Rh(III), Co(III), Fe(II) Ru(II), Os(II), Mn(I), and Tc(I)) are studied. Using density functional theory calculations, the structures and energies of ground-state and transition-state species are elucidated. This study shows clear trends in calculated ΔG(++)'s for the O-atom insertions. The organometallic Baeyer-Villiger insertions are favored by lower coordination numbers (x = 1 versus x = 2), earlier transition metals, and first-row (3d) transition metals.  相似文献

Automated systems for electrochemical synthesis and high-throughput screening of photoelectrochemical materials were developed and used to prepare tungsten-based mixed-metal oxides, W(n)O(m)M(x) [M = Ni, Co, Cu, Zn, Pt, Ru, Rh, Pd, and Ag], specifically for hydrogen production by photoelectrolysis of water. Two-dimensional arrays (libraries) of diverse metal oxides were synthesized by automated cathodic electrodeposition of the oxides on Ti foil substrates. Electrolytes for the mixed oxides were prepared from various metal salts added to a solution containing tungsten stabilized as a peroxo complex. Electrodeposition of the peroxo-stabilized cations gave rise to three distinguishable oxide groups: (1) mixed-metal oxides [Ni], (2) metal-doped tungsten oxides [Pt, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag], and (3) metal-metal oxide composites [Co, Cu, Zn]. The oxides typically showed n-type semiconducting behavior. Automated measurement of photocurrent using a scanning photoelectrochemical cell showed the W-Ni mixed oxide had the largest relative zero bias photocurrent, particularly at a low Ni concentration (5-10 atomic percent Ni). Pt and Ru were also found to increase the photoactivity of bulk tungsten oxide at relatively low concentrations; however, at concentrations above 5 atomic percent, crystallization of WO(3) was inhibited and photoactivity was diminished. Addition of Co, Cu, and Zn to WO(3) was not found to improve the photoelectrochemical activity.  相似文献

The alkyne functionalised bidentate N-donor ligand (2-propargyloxyphenyl)bis(pyrazolyl)methane was prepared in high yield from the reaction of (2-hydroxyphenyl)bis(pyrazolyl)methane with propargyl bromide in the presence of base. A series of transition-metal complexes including [MCl2] (M=Cu, Co, Ni, Zn, Pt), [M2](NO3)2 (M=Cu, Co, Ni, Zn), [Ag]NO3 and [Pd(dppe)](OTf)2 were prepared and characterised by spectroscopic techniques. In addition, ligand as well as the Co(II) and Zn(II) complexes [CoCl2]2, [ZnCl2] were structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The organometallic gold(I) and platinum(II) acetylide complexes [Pz2CH(C6H(4)-2-OCH2C[triple bond, length as m-dash]CAuPPh3)] and trans-[{Pz2CHC6H(4)-2-OCH2C[triple bond, length as m-dash]C}2Pt(PPh3)2] were prepared from and [AuCl(PPh3)] and trans-[PtCl2(PPh3)2], respectively. Treatment of these complexes with [Pd(OTf)2(dppe)] or [Cu(MeCN)4]PF6 results in formation of the cationic, mixed-metal complexes, which were isolated (Pt/Pd, Au/Pt) or detected by electrospray mass spectrometry (Au/Cu, Pt/Cu).  相似文献

Complexes of Cu(II), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Hg(II), Cd(II) and Rh(III) with 2-pyridine carboxaldehyde-N-methyl-N-2-pyridylhydrazone ( pamph) have been prepared and characterized. The new complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity and magnetic measurements, IR, UV–vis and 1H NMR spectroscopic methods. The microbiological activity of the complexes was investigated against bacteria and fungi. Most of the complexes studied appear to be active against bacteria while all are active against fungi. The Cu, Cd and Hg complexes exhibit the highest activity against both bacteria and fungi.  相似文献
