A predator-prey system with independent harvesting in either species and BeddingtonDeAngelis functional response is investigated. A sex-age-structured population model with density dependence in the conversion of reproductive potentials into zygotes and in first year survivorship is described. The model has two equilibria; the smallest is mathematically unstable, and the origin and the larger equilibrium are locally stable. The population can thus go extinct for certain initial states, or if the two equilibria coincide. The ratio between the two equilibria can be regarded as a measure of the risk of extinction, since it is related to the chance that detrimental environmental conditions will cause the population to enter the region of attraction of the origin. In simple monoecious models, recovery to former levels is only possible provided that the population is not driven to extinction before harvesting effort is reduced. Ratios between the two unexploited equilibria, and between the stable unexploited equilibrium and the recruitment level at which the two equilibria coincide are given solely in terms of the degree of density dependence in the model. I show that the harvesting strategy which maximizes the equilibrium yield has a four age form, involving harvesting of at most two male and two female age classes. Out of ten commercial Pacific groundfish species, knife-edge selectivity sustainable yields of eight are at least 90% of ultimate sustainable yield (USY). With no effort restrictions, the range of lengths at first capture which achieve more than 60% of USY is narrow. When one of the sexes is not harvested, sustainable yield is between 20% and 80% of USY, but lowest when females are not harvested.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the comparing theorem, Razumikhin-type theorem and V-function method, we consider a nonautonomous predator-prey system with stage-structure and time-delay. We get the sufficient conditions for the uniform persistence and the solutions global attractivity of this system. For a periodic system, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of a positive periodic solution of this system. A 19-cohort bioeconomic model is developed for the southern bluefin tuna fishery. The fish are long-lived and highly migratory. They are harvested as juveniles by Australia and Japan in Australian waters, and as adults by Japan on the high seas. The potential for conflict between Australian and Japanese fleets therefore exists in the exploitation of the fishery. The model is used to compare Japanese and Australian social rents and harvest levels through time under joint maximization, and under duopoly.  相似文献

We consider an infinite time horizon spatially distributed optimal harvesting problem for a vegetation and soil water reaction diffusion system, with rainfall as the main external parameter. By Pontryagin's maximum principle, we derive the associated four‐component canonical system (CS), and numerically analyze this and hence the optimal control problem in two steps. First, we numerically compute a rather rich bifurcation structure of flat (spatially homogeneous) canonical steady states and patterned canonical steady states (FCSS and PCSS, respectively), in 1D and 2D. Then, we compute time‐dependent solutions of the CS that connect to some FCSS or PCSS. The method is efficient in dealing with nonunique canonical steady states, and thus also with multiple local maxima of the objective function. It turns out that over wide parameter regimes the FCSS, i.e., spatially uniform harvesting, are not optimal. Instead, controlling the system to a PCSS yields a higher profit. Moreover, compared to (a simple model of) private optimization, the social control gives a higher yield, and vegetation survives for much lower rainfall. In addition, the computation of the optimal (social) control gives an optimal tax to incorporate into the private optimization.  相似文献

In this paper,we discuss the reaction model of tri-molecules and the exi- stence of periodic reaction under certain original density conditions of two ob- jects without diffusion phenomena.We prove that the periodic reaction exhibit some chemical phenomena that violate the second law of thermo-mechanics.
