Null congruence spacetimes are constructed from three-dimensional time-orientable Lorentzian manifolds by taking a particular ellipse in the lightcone above every point. Starting from a three-dimensional Robertson-Walker space, new null congruence spacetimes are obtained and several of their curvature properties are deduced. In particular, it is shown that the static Einstein universe is locally isometric to a certain null congruence spacetime. Furthermore, a method is given to construct trapped surfaces which admit an isometric spacelike circle action in null congruence spacetimes.  相似文献

We present three different ways of getting an actually computable enumeration of Q + in the sense of being able to know exactly which rational occupies a given position and vice versa. The first enumeration is based on the Pierce expansion model for representing real numbers. We investigate congruence classes and direct congruence classes of m-tuples in the complex projective space ℂP n . For direct congruence one allows only isometries which are induced by linear (instead of semilinear) mappings. We establish a canonical bijection between the set of direct congruence classes of m-tuples of points in ℂP n and the set of equivalence classes of positive semidefinite Hermitean m×m-matrices of rank at most n+1 with 1's on the diagonal. As a corollary we get that the direct congruence class of an m-tuple is uniquely determined by the direct congruence classes of all of its triangles, provided that no pair of points of the m-tuple has distance π/2. Examples show that the situation changes drastically if one replaces direct congruence classes by congruence classes or if distances π/2 are allowed. Finally we do the same kind of investigation also for the complex hyperbolic space ℂH n . Most of the results are completely analogous, however, there are also some interesting differences. Combining several results on related (or conjugate) connections, defined on banachable fibre bundles, we set up a machinery, which permits to study various transformations of linear connections. Global and local methods are applied throughout. As an application, we get an extension of the classical affine transformations to the context of infinite-dimensional vector bundles. Another application shows that, realising the ordinary linear differential equations (in Banach spaces) as connections, we get the usual transformations of (equivalent) equations. Thus, some classical results on differential equations, such as the Theorem of Floquet, can have a geometric interpretation.  相似文献

Given a generalized Robertson-Walker spacetime whose warping function verifies a certain convexity condition, we classify strongly stable spacelike hypersurfaces with constant mean curvature. Let be a finite-dimensional projective space and be the Grassmannian consisting of all k-dimensional subspaces of . In the paper we show that transformations of sending base subsets to base subsets are induced by collineations of to itself or to the dual projective space .
