Some previously obtained physical solutions [1–3] of Yang’s equations forSU(2) gauge fields [4], Charap’s equations for pion dynamics [5,6] and their combination as proposed by Chakraborty and Chanda [1] have been presented. They represent different physical characteristics, e.g. spreading wave with solitary profile which tends to zero as time tends to infinity, spreading wave packets, solitary wave with oscillatory profile, localised wave with solitary profile which becomes plane wave periodically, and, wave packets which are oscillatory in nature.  相似文献

层结流体中,从绝热位涡的扰动方程出发采用摄动方法和时空伸长变换推导了具有β效应和地形效应的强迫Rossby孤立波方程,得到孤立Rossby波振幅的演变满足带有地形强迫的非齐次mKdV方程的结论. 通过分析孤立Rossby波振幅的演变,即使基本气流没有切变,仍可能激发出Rossby孤立波.指出了科氏力效应、地形效应以及Vaisala-Brunt频率都是诱导Rossby孤立波产生的重要因素,说明了在地形强迫效应和非线性作用相平衡的假定下,Rossby孤立波振幅的演变满足非齐次的mKdV方程.讨论 关键词: 非齐次mKdV方程 β效应')" href="#">β效应 地形 Vaisala-Brunt 频率  相似文献

We apply the (G’/G)-expansion method to solve two systems of nonlinear differential equations and construct traveling wave solutions expressed in terms of hyperbolic functions, trigonometric functions, and rational functions with arbitrary parameters. We highlight the power of the (G’/G)-expansion method in providing generalized solitary wave solutions of different physical structures. It is shown that the (G’/G)-expansion method is very effective and provides a powerful mathematical tool to solve nonlinear differential equation systems in mathematical physics.  相似文献

The equations obtained by Yang while discussing the condition of self-duality of SU(2) gauge fields on Euclidean four-dimensional space have been generalized. Exact solutions and their graphical representations for the generalized equation (for some particular values of the parameters) have been reported. They represent interesting physical characteristics like waves with spreading solitary profile, spreading wave packets, waves with pulsating solitary profile (between zero and a maximum), waves with oscillatory solitary profile and chaos.   相似文献

In this paper we consider the problem of solitary wave propagation in a weakly disordered potential. Through a series of careful numerical experiments we have observed behavior which is in agreement with the theoretical predictions of Kivshar et al., Bronski, and Gamier. In particular we observe numerically the existence of two regimes of propagation. In the first regime the mass of the solitary wave decays exponentially, while the velocity of the solitary wave approaches a constant. This exponential decay is what one would expect from known results in the theory of localization for the linear Schrödinger equation. In the second regime, where nonlinear effects dominate, we observe the anomalous behavior which was originally predicted by Kivshar et al. In this regime the mass of the solitary wave approaches a constant, while the velocity of the solitary wave displays an anomalously slow decay. For sufficiently small velocities (when the theory is no longer valid) we observe phenomena of total reflection and trapping.  相似文献

A theoretical investigation has been made on obliquely propagating ion‐acoustic (IA) solitary structures in a three components magneto‐plasma containing cold inertial ions, Boltzmann distributed positrons, and hot non‐thermal electrons. The Zakharov‐Kuznetsov equation has been derived by the reductive perturbation method, and its solitary wave solution has been analyzed. Multi‐dimensional instability has also studied by the small‐k (long wave‐length plane wave) perturbation expansion technique, which is found to exist in such a plasma. The effects of the external magnetic field, nonthermal electrons, obliqueness and temperature ratio have significantly modified the basic properties of small but finite‐amplitude IA solitary waves, such as amplitude, width, instability criterion and the growth rate. The present investigation contributes to the physics of the nonlinear IA waves in space and laboratory electron‐positron‐ion magneto‐plasmas in which wave damping produces an electron tail. <正>Taking into account both gain/loss and time-dependent atomic scattering length,this paper analytically derives an exact bright solitary wave in a cigar-shaped attractive condensate in the presence of an expulsive parabolic potential. Due to the balance of the scattering length and gain/loss,the bright solitary wave is shown to have constant amplitude. Especially,it is found that the bright solitary wave is accelerated by expulsive force,whose velocity can be modulated by changing the axial and transverse angular frequencies.The results are in good agreement with the experimental observations by Khaykovich et al(2002 Science 296 1290).  相似文献

The propagation of ion acoustic (IA) solitary waves is investigated in a magnetized electron-positron-ion (EPI) plasma with Tsalli distributed electrons and Maxwellian positrons. A non-linear Korteweg–de Vries (KdV)-type equation is derived for the potential by using the reductive perturbation method (RPM), and its solitary wave solution is analysed. For a given set of plasma parameters, the present model supports only compressive IA solitary structures. It is found that the variation of various relevant plasma parameters, like the nonextensive parameter q, temperature ratio σ , direction cosine lz , the positron concentration γ and the magnetic field strength Ω significantly alter the characteristic properties of IA solitary waves.  相似文献

The propagation of electron acoustic solitary waves is investigated in magnetized two-temperature electron plasma with supra-thermal ion. By using the reductive perturbation technique, the Korteweg de-Vries (KdV) equation is derived. Later solving this equation, a solitary wave solution has been derived. These are mainly in astrophysical plasmas where changes of local charge density, temperature, and energy of particles produce considerable effects on the plasma system. The effects of supra-thermality, density, and Mach number on solitary structures are studied in detail. The results show that the supra-thermal index (κ) and ion to electron temperature ratio (σ) alters the regime where solitary waves may exist. While studying the solitary profile for different parametric variation some interesting conclusion can be drawn; it is shown that the solitary profile becomes flatter. This can be due to the thermal energy associated with the hot electrons. However, with the increase in ion density with respect to the cold electrons' density, the solitary waves become steeper and sharper. This is due to the comparatively heavier mass of ions. The density of cold electron also increases the solitary structures in a similar manner. The higher the density of cold electrons, sharper will be the profile. The above findings will be helpful in understanding many astrophysical phenomena and data obtained by space missions. For a further study, we keep the investigation of the formation of other kinds of stationary structures like shocks, double layers, etc.  相似文献

This paper discusses the existence of ion-acoustic solitary waves and their interaction in a dense quantum electron-positron-ion plasma by using the quantum hydrodynamic equations.The extended Poincar’e-Lighthill-Kuo perturbation method is used to derive the Korteweg-de Vries equations for quantum ion-acoustic solitary waves in this plasma.The effects of the ratio of positrons to ions unperturbation number density p and the quantum diffraction parameter H e (H p) on the newly formed wave during interaction,and the phase shift of the colliding solitary waves are studied.It is found that the interaction between two solitary waves fits linear superposition principle and these plasma parameters have significantly influence on the newly formed wave and phase shift of the colliding solitary waves.The investigations should be useful for understanding the propagation and interaction of ion-acoustic solitary waves in dense astrophysical plasmas (such as white dwarfs) as well as in intense laser-solid matter interaction experiments.  相似文献

We implement a binary collision approximation to study solitary wave propagation in a two-dimensional double Y-shaped granular chain. The solitary wave was transmitted and reflected when it met the interface of the bifurcated branches of the Y-shaped granular chains. We obtain the analytic results of the ratios of the transmitted and reflected speeds to the incident speed of the solitary wave, the maximum force between the two neighbor beads in a solitary wave, and the total time taken by the pulse to pass through each branch. All of the analytic results are in good agreement with the experimental observations from Daraio et al. [Phys. Rev. E 82 036603 (2010)]. Moreover, we also discuss the delay effects on the arrival of split pulses, and predict the recombination of the split waves traveling in branches in the final stem of asymmetric systems. The prediction of pulse recombination is verified by our numerical results.  相似文献

Existence of large amplitude stationary solitary wave structures in an unmagnetized electron-positron (e-p) plasma is studied using a quantum hydrodynamic (QHD) model that includes the quantum force (tunnelling) associated with the Bohm potential and the Fermi-dirac pressure law. It is found that in a quasi-neutral pair (e-p) plasma, where the dispersion is only due to the the quantum tunnelling effects, the large amplitude stationary solitary structure exists only when the normalized Mach speed,M <√2. Such solitary structures do not exist in absence of the Bohm potential term in an unmagnetized quasineutral pair (e-p) plasma. The system is shown to support only rarefactive stationary solitary waves. For such waves the amplitude, being independent of the quantum parameter H (the ratio of the electron plasmon to electron Fermi energy), decreases with the Mach number M, whereas the width increases with both M and H. The present theory is applicable to analyze the formation of localized coherent solitary structures at quantum scales in dense astrophysical objects as well as in intense laser fields.  相似文献
