Tb_3Ga_5O_(12)(TGG) is an excellent material for magneto-optical applications,and is the key component in Faraday isolators(FIs).The preparation process of transparent TGG ceramics is experimentally studied.The optical quality and the microstructure of the samples are investigated.The results show that the transmittance of the sample sintered at 1550℃ is close to 72%in the region of 500-1500 nm.The Verdet constant at 632.8 nm measured at room temperature is —125.01 rad T~(-1) m~(-1),which is almost the same as that of a single crystal.  相似文献

High-quality holmium-doped Y3Al5O12(YAG) ceramic is fabricated in sequence by tape-casting and vacuum sintering. The average grain size of the Ho:YAG ceramic is around 20 μm with a fully dense microstructure. The inline transmittance of the sample is ~82% in visible and IR region. The fluorescence lifetime at 2088 nm is8.17 ms. The excellent properties of the Ho:YAG ceramic demonstrate the tape-casting is a novel candidate process for the fabrication of Ho:YAG-based thin-chip or composite ceramics.  相似文献

Trivalent cerium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet(YAG:Ce3+) phosphors are synthesized by solid-state reaction method through using(Y1-xCex)2O3 solid solutions as precursors. Solid solubility limits of Ce3+replacing Y3+in Y2O3and YAG are determined to be 40% and 7.5%, respectively, based on the relationship between the lattice parameter and chemical composition. Using(Y1-xCex)2O3 as precursors we synthesize YAG:Ce3+single phase at 1450°C and N2atmosphere. However, under the same conditions using CeO2there exists a second phase YAlO3as impurity. The photoluminescence intensity of YAG:Ce3+increases monotonically with the increase of Ce concentration until it reaches a maximum at solid solubility limits of Ce3+in YAG.  相似文献

采用高温固相反应及共沉淀法合成Y3-xAl5O12∶Ce3x (x=0.01,0.03,0.05,0.07,0.09)黄色系列粉末状发光材料。经X射线衍射分析产物为单相,属立方晶系,其结果与JCPDS标准卡(88-2047)相符。分析了两种方法合成的粉末样品的SEM照片,发现共沉淀法不仅能降低合成温度,对细化粉体晶粒粒度也有较大作用。检测了材料的真空紫外激发光谱和发射光谱。发现,Y3Al5O12∶Ce3 的真空紫外激发光谱,在100~300nm范围内呈三个带状峰,峰值分别在126,177,230nm附近。随着Ce3 含量x由0.01增加到0.05,YAG∶Ce3 发射强度逐渐增加到最大值,之后随着x继续增加其发射强度逐渐下降,呈现明显的浓度猝灭现象。  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate the generation of sub-100-fs pulses from a diode-pumped passively mode-locked Yb:Y_3 ScAl_4O_(12)(Yb:YSAG) ceramic laser. Stable mode-locked pulses as short as 96 fs at the central wavelength of 1052 nm with a repetition rate of ~102 MHz are obtained. The laser has a maximum average output power of 51 mW. To the best of our knowledge, these are so far the shortest pulses and the first demonstration of sub-100-fs pulses obtained from the mode-locked Yb:YSAG ceramic lasers.  相似文献

Efficient cw self-frequency-doubled green laser output of 160 mW has been obtained from Yb:YAl(3)(BO(3))(4) crystal pumped by 1.4-W incident power from a fiber-coupled 976-nm laser diode. The incident-pump-power-green-output-power conversion efficiency is greater than 11.3%, and the electrical-input-green conversion efficiency is 3.9%. Tunable green output from 513.0 to 545.8 nm is also demonstrated with a quartz birefringent filter.  相似文献

基于密度泛函微扰理论(DFPT)结合模守恒赝势方法进行晶格动力学模拟.得到了钇铝石榴石(YAG)的声子态密度、分波声子态密度和声子的色散谱.利用第一Brillouin区的特殊点取样方法,计算了YAG的比热容和布局数平均的声子群速度.在非谐相互作用下,利用Fermi黄金公式结合第一Brillouin区的特殊点取样方法,得出了YAG非谐声子平均自由程.综合考虑了两种声子散射机制,得到了YAG陶瓷的热导率.结果表明,对于YAG陶瓷,在低温时,晶界散射将对热阻起主要作用;在高于一定温度时,三声子相互作用对热阻的贡献将占主导地位.同时也从理论上证明了Sato等提出的在室温以上,YAG陶瓷与单晶的热导率的差异可以忽略的观点.所得到的热导率、比热容随温度的变化与实验结果很好地符合. 关键词: 声子平均自由程 密度泛函微扰理论 3Al5O12声子结构')" href="#">Y3Al5O12声子结构 热导率  相似文献

We demonstrate longitudinally diode-pumped operation of Nd:YAG and Nd:YAP lasers at the long-wavelength end of the (4)F(3/2) ? (4)I(13/2) transition in the eye-safe spectral region at 1444 and 1430 nm, respectively. Special crystal coatings were required for achievement of lasing at these wavelengths. Output powers of up to 4.9 and 2.2 W, with slope efficiencies of up to 22% and 8%, respectively, were achieved. Polarized operation of the Nd:YAG laser yielded output powers of 76% as compared with unpolarized operation. Because of thermal stress, both YAG and YAP crystals were fractured at roughly 25 W of absorbed longitudinal pump power.  相似文献

We demonstrate high-efficiency diode-end-pumped multi-wavelength Nd:YAG lasers for continuous-wave and Q-switched operation. For the continuous-wave case, the Nd:YAG laser oscillates at 1.06 and 1.3 μm simultaneously; the maximum output power of 2.0 W (M2 = 1.3) and 3.6 W (M2 = 1.8) have been achieved at the incident pump power of 20.3 W, with the respective average slope efficiencies of 12.0% and 21.4%, for the lines of 1.06 and 1.3 μm, respectively. For the Q-switched operation, we achieve the average output power of 1.3 W (M2 = 2.7) at 1.06 μm and 2.0 W (M2 = 3.0) at 1.3 μm with the corresponding peak power of 10.2 and 4.2 kW under an incident pump power of 20.3 W.  相似文献

We report cw and femtosecond laser operations under diode pumping of a diffusion-bonding heterocomposite Yb-doped crystal: Yb3+:SrY4(SiO4)3O parallel Y2Al5O12(YAG paralell SYS:Yb). To show the advantages of this heterocomposite crystal over classical Yb:SYS crystal, we first investigate the high-power cw regime. A cw power of 4.3 W is demonstrated. The femtosecond regime is also investigated, and 1-W-average-power, 130-fs pulses at 1070 nm are produced, which represents, to our knowledge, the first demonstration of an Yb-doped heterocomposite mode-locked laser.  相似文献

We have experimentally demonstrated a high-power self-mode-locked Yb:Y(2)O(3) ceramic laser. Without any additional active or passive element in the cavity, self-started cw mode-locking was achieved. The maximum output power was as high as 2.7 W with a pulse duration of 1.1 ps. Numerical studies show that the diffraction loss induced by thermal lens aberration, in combination with the Kerr self-focusing effect in the gain medium, results in the mode locking of the laser. To our knowledge, this is the first self-mode-locked ceramic laser.  相似文献

In the previous study of longitudinal spin Seebeck effect(LSSE), the thermal gradient was often generated by inserting the sample between the cool bath and the hot bath. For practical use, this method is too cumbersome to be easily integrated into modern electrical circuits. Since the laser can be easily focused into a small region, it will be more convenient and friendly to the integrated circuit. In this paper, we systematically investigate the LSSE and spin Hall magnetoresistance(SMR) of the Pt/Y_3 Fe_5 O_(12) heterostructure under focused laser-heating. We find that the extremely large voltage of inverse spin Hall effect(VISHE) can be obtained by reducing the diameter of laser or increasing the number of light spots.Meanwhile, even under the illumination of the ultraviolet light which will excite the electron from the valence band to the conduction band in yttrium iron garnet(YIG), the magnitude of SMR is nearly constant. It indicates that the spin transport behavior of the adjacent Pt is independent of the electron configuration of YIG. The laser-heating method to generate LSSE will be very promising for modern integrated electronic circuits and will promote the application of spin caloritronics in practice.  相似文献

With a fiber coupled laser diode array as the pump source, Nd-doped Lu2SiO5 (Nd:LSO) crystal lasers at 4F3/24I11/2 and 4F3/24I13/2 transitions were demonstrated. The active Q-switched dual-wavelength lasers at about 1.08 μm, as well as continuous-wave (CW) and active Q-switched lasers at 1357 nm are reported for the first time, to the best of our knowledge. Considering the small emission cross-sections and long fluorescence lifetime, this material possesses large energy storage ability and excellent Q-switched properties. The special emission wavelength at 1357 nm will have promising applications to be used in many fields, such as THz generation, pumping of Cr3+:LiSAF, repumping of strontium optical clock, laser Doppler velocimeter and distributed fiber sensor.  相似文献

Cr3t∕Yb3tcodoped Y3Al5O12(i.e., YAG) thin films are prepared by pulsed laser deposition. The films are characterized by X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and photoluminescence spectra. Excitation at 446 or 587 nm, a broadband emission in the range of 610–800 nm, and an intense near-infrared at 1030 nm are obtained, showing cooperative energy transfer from Cr3 tto Yb3tions in the Cr3t∕Yb3tcodoped YAG thin films; energy transfer efficiency is 71%. The YAG films may have potential application to enhance the efficiency of silicon solar cells.  相似文献

Efficient cw and passively Q-switched operation with self-stimulated Raman scattering conversion was demonstrated in a compact diode-pumped Yb:KLu(WO4)2 laser. A cw output power of 3.28 W was obtained with an optical efficiency of 48.2% and a slope efficiency of 78.2% with respect to the incident pump power. Stable Q-switched operation was achieved with a Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber, generating 32.4 microJ fundamental pulses with a duration of 1.41 ns at 1030.6 nm and 14.4 microJ Raman pulses with a duration of 0.71 ns at 1137.6 nm. At an incident pump power of 7.0 W, the average output power reached 0.9 and 0.4 W for fundamental and Raman radiation, with slope efficiencies of 32.1% and 14.1%, respectively.  相似文献

Efficient laser operation is demonstrated at room temperature with a new Yb:Lu3Ga5O12 garnet crystal. A continuous-wave output power of 5.36 W is generated at a center oscillation wavelength of 1041 nm, with an optical-to-optical efficiency of 51% and the slope efficiency of 63%. In passively Q-switched operation, the maximum average output power reaches 4.0 W (center wavelength of 1034 nm) at a repetition rate of 71 kHz, with optical-to-optical and slope efficiencies measured to be 40% and 50%, respectively. Laser pulses of 26 ns duration are generated with a pulse energy of 91 μJ and peak power of 3.5 kW.  相似文献

High-quality single crystals of A-site ordered perovskite oxides CaCu3Ru4O12 were synthesized by flux method with Cu O serving as a flux. The typical size of these single crystals was around 1 × 1 × 1 mm3 and the lattice constant was determined to be 7.430 ± 0.0009 ?A by using x-ray single crystal diffraction. The surfaces of the samples were identified to be(100) surface. The high quality of the single crystal samples was confirmed by the rocking curve data which have a full width at half maximum of approximately 0.02 degree. The x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurement was performed and the temperature-dependent specific heat, magnetic susceptibility, and electric resistivity were measured along the [100]direction of the single crystals. All these measurements showed that the physical properties of Ca Cu3Ru4O12 single crystals are similar to that of polycrystals. However, the single crystals have a lower Curie susceptibility tail and a smaller residual resistivity than polycrystals, which indicates that the amount of paramagnetic impurities can be controlled by tuning the number of defects in CaCu3Ru4O12 samples.  相似文献

In this letter, we report a Ho:YVO4 laser pumped by a 1.94-μm laser in both continuous-wave(CW)and Q-switched modes. The output performance of the Ho:YVO4 laser is compared with different output coupler transmissions. By use of the output coupler transmissions of T =30%, we obtain the maximum CW output power of 3.9 W at 2052 nm, with beam quality factor of M2=1.09 for the absorbed pump power of 12.5 W. For the Q-switched mode, we achieve maximum output energy per pulse of 0.38 mJ and the minimum pulse width of 25 ns, corresponding to the peak power of 15.2 kW.  相似文献

High-power continuous-wave laser operation was demonstrated with a y-cut Yb:YCa(4)O(BO(3))(3) crystal, showing critical dependence on the output coupler used. Polarized laser oscillation with E||x was obtained at 1085.6 nm by using a coupler of 0.5% transmission, yielding an output power of 7.3 W with an optical-to-optical efficiency of 63%.
