 使用积分方法和差分方法结合的快速计算方法,在实际燃烧驱动氟化氢化学激光器增益介质沿径向分布不均匀的情况下,考虑在光束变换环形孔径激光谐振腔的紧束段引入光束旋转90°对其输出性能的影响。计算结果显示:在无腔失调的情况下,在紧束段引入光束旋转对束变换环孔激光谐振腔输出功率及光束质量的改善并不显著;在存在腔失调的情况下,紧束段光束旋转对于输出功率和光束质量的改善有显著效果。  相似文献

A compact fir ring laser with open resonator and variable output coupling   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We describe the design, construction and first experimental results with an open triangle FIR ring resonator with Michelson interferometer output coupling, which we combined with a Brewster-windowless 10W CO2 pump laser to a compact laser package of 1m length. The achieved stability of power and frequency of this system is very high, typically on the order of ±0.01% over several hours and <20kHz per hour at 800GHz. For the design, we investigated the balance of all laser processes and determined the optimum dimensions for the open resonator cavity. This analysis is based on a radially homogenous overall laser model, including commonly accepted simplified rate equations together with molecular parameters for weak FIR laser lines. In accordance with the modelling the efficiency on the very most prominent lines is better than with conventional waveguide lasers, giving up to 4 times better efficiencies especially on lines with low absorption pump transitions. Several laser lines, however, have substantially enhanced pump thresholds on purely copropagating emission, suppressing laser operation below about 10W pump power threshold. We show that this can not be due to effects from the interferometer.  相似文献

A novel numerical method is presented for the calculations of the coupled propagation equations in multi-wavelength Raman fiber lasers. By taking the advantages of genetic algorithm and shooting method, only a few of the best individuals at each generation are chosen to implement several shootings in order to accelerate theirs converging. The output characteristics of an all-fiber three-wavelength Raman fiber laser have been analyzed based on the proposed algorithm. Results show that the total output power linearly depends on the pump power with a slope efficiency of ∼51%. For the three output Stokes, the slope efficiencies of the longer wavelengths are larger than that of the shorter ones because the optical energy at the Stokes with shorter wavelengths allows for a transfer of optical power to the longer Stokes via stimulated Raman scattering. We also find that the total output power degrades by less than 10% by adjusting the output-coupler reflectivity and is insensitive to the variation of the Raman fiber length over a large range.  相似文献

报道了利用Nd∶YAG四倍频266 nm脉冲激光端面泵浦Ce∶LiCAF晶体,采用平凹谐振腔,输出296 nm波长紫外激光.当输出镜透过率为20%,入射泵浦能量为13.5 mJ时,获得最大输出激光脉冲能量为270 μJ,脉冲宽度为3.4 ns,输出激光峰值功率为79.4 kW,光-光转换效率为2%,斜效率为1.6%.  相似文献

We demonstrate continuous-wave(CW) high power-efficiency terahertz quantum cascade laser based on semiinsulating surface-plasmon waveguide with epitaxial-side down(Epi-down) mounting process.The performance of the device is analyzed in detail.The laser emits at a frequency of ~3.27 THz and has a maximum CW operating temperature of ~ 70 K.The peak output powers are 177 mW in pulsed mode and 149 mW in CW mode at 10 K for 130-μm-wide Epi-down mounted lasers.The record wall-plug efficiencies in direct measurement are 2.26% and 2.05% in pulsed and CW mode,respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, a continuous-wave (CW) diode-side-pumped Nd:YAlO3 (Nd:YAP) laser operating at the weak line of 1339 nm has been achieved and investigated. The output of the 1339 nm laser was realized based on the polarization selection and reasonable transmittance design. The relationship between the output powers and resonator lengths of the 1339 nm Nd:YAP laser has been studied and the optimum resonator length was adopted to improve the output power. As high as 31.3 W output power of the a-axis polarized 1339 nm laser has been obtained at the pumping power of 555 W with the optical-optical and slope efficiencies to be 5.6% and 13%, respectively. This work will provide an effective way to obtain the weak line lasers for potential applications in spectroscopy, coherent terahertz generation, etc.  相似文献

Ytterbium-doped self-frequency-doubling lasers offer high efficiency, tunable, visible and near-infrared, cw and pulsed operation from compact devices. We review the performance of ytterbium-doped yttrium aluminium borate (Yb:YAB) self-frequency-doubling lasers. Because of the detailed dynaMisc of the interaction of the nonlinear pulse shaping process for mode-locking or for Q-switching self-frequency-doubled lasers, we observe pulse lengthening in each process when frequency doubling is optimised, with high average output power. However, for continuous wave operation, the self-frequency doubling process may be optimised to give highly efficient, robust, widely-tunable output in the visible as well as fundamental output in the infrared.  相似文献

We report and evaluate a novel double-end polarised 880?nm pumping scheme for a Nd:GdVO4 self-Raman laser, aimed at efficiently generating high output powers in the near-infrared and visible. Compared to conventional single-end pumping, this pump scheme has significant benefits in terms of absorption efficiency, temperature effects in the crystal, and mode-matching between the pumping beam and TEM00 resonator mode. The maximum first-Stokes output powers were 4.1?W for CW operation and 5.63?W for quasi-CW (50?% duty-cycle) operation, with the diode-Stokes conversion efficiency of 11.2?% and 10.3?%, respectively. Visible emission was also realised by intra-cavity frequency-doubling (586.5?nm) or sum-frequency-generation (559?nm) using BBO or LBO crystals. For CW operation, the maximum output power was 3.46?W at 586.5?nm and 4.05?W at 559?nm, with diode-visible conversion efficiency of 10.7?% and 12.5?%; while for quasi-CW operation (50?% duty-cycle), the maximum output peak power was 6.5?W at 586.5?nm and 9.2?W at 559?nm, corresponding to 13.1?% and 18.9?% diode-visible conversion efficiency.  相似文献

利用谐振腔的稳定条件对激光二极管侧面抽运的 Nd∶YAG锁模直腔的稳区特性和谐振腔内的光斑分布进行了分析。根据对腔参量的分析,选取合适的腔参量设计了一个简单的侧面抽运直腔,该谐振腔腔形简单,没有像散,振荡光模式好,有利于激光器的锁模运转。实验中采用国内自行研制的半导体可饱和吸收镜,实现了激光二极管侧面抽运半导体可饱和吸收镜锁模Nd∶YAG激光器的连续锁模运转,平均输出功率为 2 W,锁模脉冲宽度为10 ps,重复频率为100 MHz。结合实验结果进一步讨论了半导体可饱和吸收镜的一些参量如饱和恢复时间、调制深度等对实现稳定连续锁模的影响。  相似文献

A submillimeter laser with off-axis pump beam injection is described. This design concept achieves complete isolation of the pump laser with respect to the pump radiation reflected from the smm resonator. Active line independent stabilization of the pump laser is obtained by the use of an external tunable etalon as a frequency reference. The smm output power is constant to within 4% over periods of hours. Mean frequency drifts of less than 2 parts in 108 per minute were measured by mixing with very high harmonics of an X-band synthesizer in a planar Schottky diode.Supported in part by NSF  相似文献

Configurations of unstable resonators that could be used for diffraction radiation generators (DRG's) are presented. The output coupling of a negative branch unstable resonator exhibits an extreme sensitivity to mirror radius and appears to be unsuited to DRG use. The positive branch resonator does not exhibit this sensitivity to mirror radius, and the mirror radii that are needed to give output couplings of a few percent appear practical.Work conducted at the Harry Diamond Laboratories.  相似文献

Using a new resonator concept guaranteeing fundamental mode operation, flashlamp pumped Nd lasers with average output powers of 46 and 47 W for the two materials were realized with beam qualities better than 1.2*DL. Due to the absence of thermally induced birefringence the efficiency of the Nd:YALO laser was up to 1.85% and thus 1.5 times higher than that of the realized Nd:YAG laser. The Nd:YALO laser output is linear polarized. Average output power of 100 W could be extracted from a Nd:YAG single rod oscillator with a beam quality of better than 3.7×DL.  相似文献

详细阐述了同心抽运、同心冷却的激光二极管紧包侧抽运Nd∶YAG激光器的实验研究工作。这种抽运结构使晶体内的增益场与谐振腔基模实现了良好的匹配,易于得到良好的光束质量和大能量输出,基模提取效率高。模拟分析了晶体内的增益场以及横截面内的温度分布,从不同角度探讨了激光二极管的温度特性对器件工作的影响。研究了晶体的热致退偏效应对器件调Q工作的影响,并且初步探讨了不同腔长、不同腔型下器件的工作情况,这些实验结果对进一步优化使用这种抽运结构有指导意义。所设计的激光器在工作频率6Hz时,得到了斜效率为44.3%的多模调Q输出。在抽运能量735mJ时,得到最大输出能量135mJ,脉宽7.6ns的调Q脉冲,光光效率为18.4%,插头效率为11.0%,光束发散角小于1.5mrad。  相似文献

研究了外腔式SrWO4拉曼激光器在ns脉冲抽运下的输出特性。利用主动调Q的Nd∶YAG激光器产生的脉冲宽度为11.7 ns,输出能量为80 mJ的激光作为抽运源,拉曼激光谐振腔采用平平腔,实验采用4片对一阶斯托克斯脉冲和二阶斯托克斯脉冲不同反射率的输出耦合镜,测量了输出能量与抽运能量的关系,计算了转换效率与抽运能量的关系。当输出耦合镜对一阶斯托克斯脉冲的反射率为39.9%时,实验得到一阶斯托克斯脉冲的最大能量和转换效率分别为23.9 mJ和36.2%,当输出耦合镜对一阶斯托克斯脉冲和二阶斯托克斯脉冲的反射率分别为80.5%和12.4%时,得到二阶斯托克斯脉冲的最大输出能量和转换效率分别为16.4 mJ和25.4%,典型的一阶斯托克斯脉冲和二阶斯托克斯脉冲的脉冲宽度分别为6.1 ns和5.8 ns。  相似文献

讨论了用遗传算法优化设计普通激光器谐振腔参量的方法.以典型的50 cm长的氦氖(He-Ne)激光器为例,进行了具体计算.结果表明:对于输出相同的激光功率,模拟优化的谐振腔参量与传统局域化设计(非优化)的结果基本一致.通过适当匹配谐振腔参量,仍可提高激光(单模)的输出功率.  相似文献

Room-temperature continuous-wave (cw) laser operation is demonstrated with the newly developed Yb:NaLa(WO4)2 disordered crystal by end-pumping with a fiber-coupled diode laser. A maximum output power of 330 mW is obtained with an optical efficiency of 4.9% and a slope efficiency of 6.3% with respect to the incident pump power. The efficiencies in terms of the absorbed pump power are roughly three times higher. Sellmeier dispersion curves for the ordinary and extraordinary refractive indices of the NaLa(WO4)2 host are reported along with crystallographic and spectroscopic properties related to the Yb3+-doping.  相似文献

The structure and the output characteristics of an unstable confocal resonator with unitized output coupling were studied in detail. The output power, the electrical-photo conversion efficiency and far-field intensity distribution of high-power transverse flow cw CO2 laser with unitized output coupling unstable resonator (the geometrical magnification parameter M is equal to 1.5) have been measured. The output power is larger than 1.8 kW; the electrical-photo conversion efficiency is as high as 14% and the far-field divergency (total angle) is about 2 mrad. Control experiments show that under otherwise equal conditions the output power and the efficiency of an unstable resonator with scraper plate coupling are 1.2 kW and 9.2%, respectively.  相似文献
