(H,R)-Lie coalgebras and (H,R)-Lie bialgebras

Given an (H,R)-Lie coalgebra Γ, we construct (H,R _T )-Lie coalgebra Γ^T through a right cocycle T, where (H,R) is a triangular Hopf algebra, and prove that there exists a bijection between the set of (H,R)-Lie coalgebras and the set of ordinary Lie coalgebras. We also show that if (L, [, ], Δ, R) is an (H,R)-Lie bialgebra of an ordinary Lie algebra then (L ^T , [, ], Δ_T, R _T ) is an (H,R _T )-Lie bialgebra of an ordinary Lie algebra.     

On the Ramsey numbers R(3, 8) and R(3, 9)

Using methods developed by Graver and Yackel, and various computer algorithms, we show that 28 ≤ R(3, 8) ≤ 29, and R(3, 9) = 36, where R(k, l) is the classical Ramsey number for 2-coloring the edges of a complete graph.     

Reducibility of the elementary representations for SL (n,R) and GL(n,R)

Functional Analysis and Its Applications -     

R(4, 5) = 25

The Ramsey number R(4, 5) is defined to be the least positive integer n such that every n-vertex graph contains either a clique of order 4 or an independent set of order 5. With the help of a long computation using novel techniques, we prove that R(4, 5) = 25. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.     

Density of an (r,R)-system

In this paper we give a complete geometrical theory for the study of the exact lower bound of the density of n-dimensional lattices. For arbitrary (r, R)-systems we prove an analog of well known theorems due to Rogers from the theory of packings, and also from this same theory, an analog of a theorem due to Coxeter, Few, and Rogers. Several special examples are treated.     

SL(n+1,R)/S(GL(1,R)×GL(n,R))上线丛的一个超几何方程

Poincaré series in SL(3, R)

It is shown that in the spectral decomposition of the one-parameter Poincaré series from SL(3, R) involves only the discrete spectrum, induced from SL₂ and not the discrete spectrum of SL₃ itself. Tensor products,asymptotic intertwinings and property (R)

A Banach space operator satisfies property (R) if the set of its finite multiplicity isolated eigenvalues equals the set of its finite rank left poles. Property (R) transfers from operators A and B to their tensor product A?B. Asymptotic intertwining by the identity operator does not preserve property (R). Additional hypotheses are required.

Wr,p(R)-splines

In [3] Golomb describes, for 1 < p < ∞, the H^r,p(R)-extremal extension $\text{F}{}_1$ of a function $\text{?:E → R}$ (i.e., the H^r,p-spline with knots in E) and studies the cone $\text{H}{}_{1E}{}^{\mathrm{r,p}}$ of all such splines. We study the problem of determining when $\text{F}{}_1$ is in W^r,p ≡ H^r,p ∩ L^p. If $\text{F}{}_1\text{? W}{}^{\mathrm{r,p}}$, then $\text{F}{}_1$ is called a W^r,p-spline, and we denote by $\text{W}{}_{1E}{}^{\mathrm{r,p}}$ the cone of all such splines. If E is quasiuniform, then $\text{F}{}_1\text{? W}{}^{\mathrm{r,p}}$ if and only if . The cone $\text{W}{}_{1E}{}^{\mathrm{r,p}}$ with E quasiuniform is shown to be homeomorphic to l^p. Similarly, $\text{H}{}_{1E}{}^{\mathrm{r,p}}$ is homeomorphic to h^r,p. Approximation properties of the W^r,p-splines are studied and error bounds in terms of the mesh size $\text{¦ E ¦}$ are calculated. Restricting ourselves to the case p = 2 and to quasiuniform partitions E, the second integral relation is proved and better error bounds in terms of $\text{¦ E ¦}$ are derived.
