Sonochemical synthesis of functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (fMWCNTs) embellished 3D flower-like zinc oxide (ZnO) nanocomposite based novel electrochemical sensor for the detection of toxic environmental pollutant 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) is detailed in this paper. We have used laser-assisted synthesis technique in the development of 3D flower-like ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) and ultrasonication method was employed in preparation of ZnO NPs@fMWCNTs nanocomposite using a high-intensity ultrasonic bath DC200H with power of 200 W/cm2 and 40 KHz frequency. The nanocomposite was meticulously fabricated on screen printed carbon electrode (SPCE) to carry out various electrochemical analysis. Different characterizations such as Raman spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, UV visible spectroscopy (UV–Vis), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) of the materials used in this work were taken. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) techniques are used in electrochemical investigations. We have observed well-defined oxidation and reduction peak currents representing electrochemical mechanism of 4-NP at very low potentials for ZnO NPs@fMWCNTs/SPCE. Furthermore, we were able to achieve efficient electrochemical determination of 4-NP using the developed sensor with a high sensitivity of 11.44 μA μM−1 cm−2 and very low detection limit (LOD) of 0.013 μM in a broad linear range of 0.06–100 μM. All the significant features of a good sensor including anti-interference, good stability, excellent repeatability, and reproducibility were exhibited by the sensor. Moreover, we have tested practical feasibility of sensor by carrying out real sample analysis on different water samples.  相似文献

In this reports the facile and green synthesis of rutile-type titanium dioxide nanoparticles decorated graphene oxide nanocomposite via the ultrasonication process (frequency: 50 kHz, Power: 100 W/cm2 and Ultrasonic type: Ti-horn). Because, the sonochemical synthesis method is simple, non-explosive and harmless method than other conventional technique. Furthermore, the synthesized material was characterized by various analytical techniques including FESEM, EDX, XRD, EIS and electrochemical methods. Then, the synthesized TiO2 MPs@GOS composite was applied for the electrocatalytic detection of theophylline (TPL) using CV and amperometric (current-time) techniques. Captivatingly, the modified sensor has excellent electrocatalytic performance with the wider linear range from 0.02 to 209.6 µM towards the determination of theophylline and the LOD and sensitivity of the modified sensor was calculated as 13.26 nM and 1.183 μA·µM−1·cm−2, respectively. In addition, a selectivity, reproducibility and stability of the TiO2 MPs@GOS modified GCE were analyzed towards the determination of theophylline molecule. Finally, the real time application of TiO2 MPs@GOS modified theophylline sensor was established in serum and drug samples.  相似文献

A sonochemical based green synthesis method playa powerful role in nanomaterials and composite development. In this work, we developed a perovskite type of strontium titanate via sonochemical process. SrTiO3 particles were incorporated with nitrogen doped graphene oxide through simple ultrasonic irradiation method. The SrTiO3/NGO was characterized by various analytical methods. The nanocomposite of SrTiO3/NGO was modified with laser-induced graphene electrode (LIGE). The SrTiO3/NGO/LIGE was applied for electrochemical sensor towards chemotherapeutic drug detection (nilutamide). Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) techniques have been used to examine the electrochemical performance of nilutamide (anti-cancer drug). DPV was found to be more sensitive and found to exhibit a sensitivity 8.627 µA µM−1 cm−2 for SrTiO3/NGO/LIGE with a wide linear range (0.02–892 µM) and low Limit of detection (LOD: 1.16 µM). SrTiO3/NGO/LIGE has been examined for the detection of nilutamide in blood serum and urine samples and obtained a good recovery in the range of 97.2–99.72 %. The enhanced stability and selectivity and practical application results indicates the suitability of SrTiO3/NGO/LIGE towards the detection of nilutamide drug in pharmaceutical industries.  相似文献

We describe the ultrasonic assisted preparation of barium stannate-graphitic carbon nitride nanocomposite (BSO-gCN) by a simple method and its application in electrochemical detection of 4-nitrophenol via electro-oxidation. A bath type ultrasonic cleaner with ultrasonic power and ultrasonic frequency of 100 W and 50 Hz, respectively, was used for the synthesis of BSO-gCN nanocomposite material. The prepared BSO-gCN nanocomposite was characterized by employing several spectroscopic and microscopic techniques such as X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, fourier transform infra-red, field emission scanning electron microscopy, and high resolution transmission electron microscopy, to unravel the structural and electronic features of the prepared nanocomposite. The BSO-gCN was drop-casted on a pre-treated glassy carbon electrode (GCE), and their sensor electrode was utilized for electrochemical sensing of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP). The BSO-gCN modified GCE exhibited better electrochemical sensing behavior than the bare GCE and other investigated electrodes. The electroanalytical parameters such as charge transfer coefficient (α = 0.5), the rate constant for electron transfer (ks = 1.16 s−1) and number of electron transferred were calculated. Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) exhibited increase in peak current linearly with 4-NP concentration in the range between 1.6 and 50 μM. The lowest detection limit (LoD) was calculated to be 1 μM and sensitivity of 0.81 μA μM−1 cm−2. A 100-fold excess of various ions, such as Ca2+, Na+, K+, Cl, I, CO32−, NO3, NH4+ and SO42− did not able to interfere with the determination of 4-NP and high sensitivity for detecting 4-NP in real samples was achieved. This newly developed BSO-gCN could be a potential candidate for electrochemical sensor applications.  相似文献

In green approaches for electrocatalyst synthesis, sonochemical methods play a powerful role in delivering the abundant surface areas and nano-crystalline properties that are advantageous to electrocatalytic detection. In this article, we proposed the sphere-like and perovskite type of bimetal oxides which are synthesized through an uncomplicated sonochemical procedure. As a yield, the novel calcium titanate (orthorhombic nature) nanoparticles (CaTiO3 NPs) decorated graphene oxide sheets (GOS) were obtained through simple ultrasonic irradiation by a high-intensity ultrasonic probe (Titanium horn; 50 kHz and 60 W). The GOS/CaTiO3 NC were characterized morphologically and chemically through the analytical methods (SEM, XRD, and EDS). Besides, as-prepared nanocomposites were modified on a GCE (glassy carbon electrode) and applied towards electrocatalytic and electrochemical sensing of chemotherapeutic drug flutamide (FD). Notably, FD is a crucial anticancer drug and also a non-steroidal anti-androgen chemical. Mainly, the designed and modified sensor has shown a wide linear range (0.015–1184 µM). A limit of detection was calculated as nanomolar level (5.7 nM) and sensitivity of the electrode is 1.073 μA μM−1 cm−2. The GOS/CaTiO3 modified electrodes have been tested in human blood and urine samples towards anticancer drug detection.  相似文献

Thermo-responsive polymer nanocomposite based on poly (styrene-co-N-isopropylacrylamide) hybrid tungsten dioxide (WO2@PS-co-PNIPAM) was synthesized by a facile ultrasonic irradiation (Frequency; 20 kHz, power; 180 W, calorimetrically determined power; 5.73 W in the bath, and Type; probe) method in the presence of water as inisolv. The as-synthesized WO2@PS-co-PNIPAM modified glassy carbon electrode (WO2@PS-co-PNIPAM/GCE) was acting as a reversibly switched detection for the electrooxidation of metoprolol (MTP), with the thermal stimuli response of the PNIPAM. In below lower critical solution temperature (LCST), the PS-co-PNIPAM expanded to embed the electroactive sites of WO2, and the MTP could not proceed via the polymer to attain electronic transfer, indicating the “off” state. Rather, in above LCST, the PS-co-PNIPAM shrank to reveal electroactive sites and expand cyclic voltammetric background peak currents, the MTP was capable to undergo electro-oxidation reaction usually and produce the response current, indicating “on” state. Additionally, the proposed sensor had excellent sensitivity (2.21 µA µM−1 cm−2), wide dynamic range (0.05–306 µM), and a low limit of detection of 0.03 µM for MTP. Intriguingly, the fabricated sensor demonstrates the good selectivity towards the detection of MTP among the possible interfering compounds. Eventually, the WO2@PS-co-PNIPAM/GCE has been utilized in the analysis of MTP in human blood serum samples.  相似文献

Herein, we report a one-pot synthesis of structurally uniform and electrochemically active graphitic carbon nitride/nickel oxide (g-C3N4/NiO) nanocomposite and an investigation on the electrocatalytic oxidation of quercetin (QR). The synthesized g-C3N4/NiO nanocomposite has uniform surface distribution, which was characterized with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Moreover, the composition of synthesized g-C3N4/NiO nanocomposite was characterized by UV–vis-spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR spectra), BET, SEM and HRTEM. The g-C3N4/NiO was electrochemically treated in 0.1 MPBS solution through cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The peak current response increases linearly with QR concentration from 0.010 μM to 250 µM with a fast response time of less than 2 s and a detection limit of 0.002 μM. To further evaluate the feasibility of using this sensor for real sample analysis, QR content in various real samples including green tea, green apple, honey suckle were determined and satisfactory results were achieved.  相似文献

Binary metal oxides (La2O3@SnO2) decorated reduced graphene oxide nanocomposite was synthesized by ultrasound process in an environmentally benign solvent with a working frequency of 25 and 40 kHz (6.5 l200 H, Dakshin, India and maximum input power 210 W). Further, to enhance the electrocatalytic activity, the reduced graphene oxide (rGO) was prepared from graphene oxide by ultrasonication method. As prepared La2O3@SnO2/rGO was scrutinized using XRD, TEM, EDX and quantitative test for the structural and morphology properties. As modified La2O3@SnO2/rGO nanocomposite exhibits better electrochemical activity towards the oxidation of methyl nicotinate with higher anodic current compared to other modified and unmodified electrode for the detection of methyl nicotinate with larger linear range (0.035–522.9 µM) and lower limit of detection (0.0197 µM). In addition, the practical feasibility of the sensor was inspected with biological samples, reveals the acceptable recovery of the sensor in real samples.  相似文献

In modern approaches for nanomaterials synthesis, ultrasonication plays an important role in providing the larger surface area and smaller crystalline size properties that are favorable to electrochemical techniques. Herein, we report the tin (IV) oxide on graphene oxide nanoparticles were synthesized (SnO2@GO NPs) by ultrasonic methodology (UZ SONOPULS HD 3400 Ultrasonic homogenizer) with the total power of 400 W and the (frequency of 20 kHz; 140 W/dm3). The formation of as-prepared SnO2@GO NPs and its surface morphology were scrutinized over XRD, XPS, TEM, and FESEM. Besides, the sonochemically prepared SnO2@GO NPs were employed for the determination of environmental hazardous mercury (Hg). As a result, the modified electrode acquired a very low-level detection limit of 1.2 nM with a wider range of 0.01–10.41-µM and 14.52–225.4-µM for the detection of Hg. Finally, the practical applicability of SnO2@GO NPs in spiked human blood serum and tuna fish samples shows appreciable found and recovery values..  相似文献

The binary nanomaterials and graphitic carbon based hybrid has been developed as an important porous nanomaterial for fabricating electrode with applications in non-enzymatic (bio) sensors. We report a fast synthesis of bimetal oxide particles of nano-sized manganese ferrite (MnFe2O4) decorated on graphitic carbon nitride (GCN) via a high-intensity ultrasonic irradiation method for C (30 kHz and 70 W/cm2). The nanocomposites were analyzed by powder X-ray diffraction, XPS, EDS, TEM to ascertain the effects of synthesis parameters on structure, and morphology. The MnFe2O4/GCN modified electrode demonstrated superior electrocatalytic activity toward the neurotransmitter (5-hydroxytryptamine) detection with a high peak intensity at +0.21 V. The appealing application of the MnFe2O4/GCN/GCE as neurotransmitter sensors is presented and a possible sensing mechanism is analyzed. The constructed electrochemical sensor for the detection of 5-hydroxytryptamine (STN) showed a wide working range (0.1–522.6 μM), high sensitivity (19.377 μA μM−1 cm−2), and nano-molar detection limit (3.1 nM). Moreover, it is worth noting that the MnFe2O4/GCN not only enhanced activity and also promoted the electron transfer rate towards STN detection. The proposed sensor was analyzed for its real-time applications to the detection of STN in rat brain serum, and human blood serum in good satisfactory results was obtained. The results showed promising reproducibility, repeatability, and high stability for neurotransmitter detection in biological samples.  相似文献

Furthermore, CuO/CeO2 nanostructure is synthesized by high-intensity ultrasonic probe (Ti-horn, 50 kHz and 100 W) at ambient air. Moreover, the synthesized CuO/CeO2 material was characterized by various analytical techniques including FESEM, EDX, XRD and electrochemical methods. Then, the synthesized CuO/CeO2 composite was applied for the electrocatalytic detection of dopamine using CV and DPV techniques. In addition, the CuO/CeO2 modified electrode has good electrocatalytic performance with high linear range from 0.025 to 98.5 µM towards the determination of dopamine drug and high sensitivity of the CuO/CeO2 modified drug sensor was calculated as 16.34 nM and 4.823 μA·µM−1·cm−2, respectively. Moreover, a repeatability, reproducibility and stability of the CuO@CeO2 mixture modified electrode were analyzed towards the determination of dopamine biomolecule. In the present study, Ni3(VO4)2-reduced graphene oxide (NV/RGO) nanocomposite was synthesized for energy storage purpose. To this end, a mixture containing RGO nanosheets, Ni (CH3COOH)2 and Na3VO4 mixture was prepared under probe-type ultrasonic irradiation with frequency of 20 KHz and the optimized power of 100 W. The Raman and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopies confirmed the presence of RGO nanosheets, nickel and vanadium elements in the NV/RGO, respectively. In addition, field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) data showed the formation of the NV nanoparticles on the RGO nanosheets. NV/RGO nanocomposite was pasted on nickel foam (NF) and its performance was investigated in energy storage using a three-electrode cell containing 6 M KOH. In cyclic voltammogram of NV/RGO/NF, redox peaks for Ni (II)/Ni (III) with intensities higher than that for NV/NF were observed which confirms the synergistic effect of RGO on the performance of NV. Chronopotentiometry data revealed that the NV/RGO/NF electrode exhibits high capacity of 117.22 mA h g−1 at 2 A g−1. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy also demonstrated an improvement in the electrical conductivity and electrochemical behavior of NV/RGO/NF nanocomposite compared to the RGO/NF and NV/NF. Furthermore, NV/RGO/NF electrode reserved about 88% of its initial capacity after 1000th potential cycle at 50 mV s−1. Overall, the results of our study suggest that the NV/RGO nanocomposite prepared in the presence of ultrasonic irradiation might be regarded as a suitable active material for energy storage systems.  相似文献

Design and fabrication of novel inorganic nanomaterials for the low-level detection of food preservative chemicals significant is of interest to the researchers. In the present work, we have developed a novel grass-like vanadium disulfide (GL-VS2) through a simple sonochemical method without surfactants or templates. As-prepared VS2 was used as an electrocatalyst for reduction of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The crystalline nature, surface morphology, elemental compositions and binding energy of the as-prepared VS2 were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The electrochemical studies show that the GL-VS2 modified glassy carbon electrode (GL-VS2/GCE) has a superior electrocatalytic activity and lower-reduction potential than the response observed for unmodified GCE. Furthermore, the GL-VS2/GCE displayed a wide linear response range (0.1–260 μM), high sensitivity (0.23 μA μM−1 cm−2), lower detection limit (26 nM) and excellent selectivity for detection of H2O2. The fabricated GL-VS2/GCE showed excellent practical ability for detection of H2O2 in milk and urine samples, revealing the real-time practical applicability of the sensor in food contaminants.  相似文献

In the present work, we report on the synthesis of crump-like nickel manganous oxide nanoparticles decorated partially reduced graphene oxide (NiMnO@pr-GO) nanocomposite through high-intensity ultrasonic bath sonication (ultrasonic frequency = 37 kHz and power = 150 W). The NiMnO@pr-GO nanocomposite modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was then employed for the electrochemical reduction of detrimental metronidazole (MNZ). The crystalline phase and formation of the NiMnO@pr-GO nanocomposites were confirmed by X-ray diffraction and other spectroscopic techniques. The cyclic voltammetry results demonstrate that this NiMnO@pr-GO nanocomposite modified GCE has a lower reduction potential and higher catalytic activity towards MNZ than do NiMnO and GO modified GCEs. Under optimized conditions, the fabricated NiMnO@pr-GO electrode can detect metronidazole over a wide linear range with a lower limit of detection of 90 nM. The sensitivity of the sensor was 1.22 µA µM-1cm−2 and was found to have excellent selectivity and durability for the detection of MNZ.  相似文献

The fabrication of hetero structured materials with supercapacitor applications for industrial use remains a key challenge. This work reports a new supercapacitor material with high capacitance, comprising samaria and borazon (O3Sm2/BN) synthesized ultrasonically (40 ± 3 kHz, 200 W). The successful synthesis, probable interfaces between O3Sm2 and BN and thermal stability of the nanocomposite were studied by UV–Vis. and FT-IR spectroscopies, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermo gravimetric analyses (TGA). The morphology of nanocomposite was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Elemental mapping analysis and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX) confirmed the elements present in the material. This supercapacitor material shows a maximum discharge capacitance of 414 Fg−1 at 0.25 Ag−1 and an exceptional retention of specific capacitance (92.5%) in 5000 cycles. Such nanocomposite with better specific capacitance and charge/discharge rates makes it a right candidate as next generation supercapacitor, which certainly finds applications in various unconventional energy storage devices.  相似文献

The use of Au@SiO2 core/shell nanoparticle (NP) assemblage with highly sensitive surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) was investigated for the determination of glucose and uric acid in this study. Rhodamine 6G dye molecules were used to evaluate the SERS enhancement factor for the synthesized Au@SiO2 core/shell NPs with various silica shell thicknesses. The enhancement of SERS signal from Rhodamine 6G was found to increase with a decrease in the shell thickness. The core/shell assemblage with silica layer of 1–2 nm over a Au NP of ~36 nm showed the highest SERS signal. Our results show that the SERS technique is able to detect glucose and uric acid within wide concentration ranges, i.e. 20 ng/dL to 20 mg/dL (10−12–10−3 M) and 16.8 ng/dL to 2.9 mg/dL (10−11–1.72 × 10−4 M), respectively, with associated lower detection limits of ~20 ng/dL (~1.0 × 10−12 M) and ~16.8 ng/dL (~1.0 × 10−11 M). Our work offers a low‐cost route to the fabrication of agile sensing devices applicable to the monitoring of disease progression. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this study, a new anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) nanostructure membrane was synthesized by anodization process under a constant voltage, in oxalic acid solution that was improved with trace amounts of sulfuric acid at room temperature. The effect of various parameters on the morphology of the synthesized nanostructures such as voltage, electrolyte composition, anodization time and type of stripping solution were investigated. According to the results, corrosion of the walls, size regularity, diameter and number of the pores increased in the presence of sulfuric acid (0.018 mol.L−1). Nitrogen adsorption-desorption analysis confirmed significant porosity, array and uniformity of the pore size in the synthesized nanoporous membrane. A new modification method was used based on ultrasonic-hydrothermal method to modify the synthesized AAO with Fe3O4/SiO2 nanoparticles for metals and metalloids removal from aqueous solution. In this method, Fe3O4/SiO2 nanoparticles were placed very regularly and uniformly on the surface and inside the pores. This modification was confirmed by characterization techniques. The modified AAO@Fe3O4/SiO2 membrane showed excellent results for removing arsenic from aqueous media.  相似文献

Highly conductive, unsophisticated and easy to be obtained physical exfoliated graphite (PHG) supporting well dispersed magnetite, Fe3O4/PHG nanocomposite, has been prepared by a one-step chemical strategy and physico-chemical characterized. The nanocomposite, favoured by the a-polar nanoparticles (NPs) capping, results in a self-assembled monolayer of monodispersed Fe3O4, covering perfectly the hydrophobic surfaces of PHG. The nanocomposite as an electrode material was fabricated into a supercapacitor and characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge–discharge measurements. It shows, after a suitable annealing, significant electrochemical properties (capacitance value of 787 F/g at 0.5 A g−1 and a Fe3O4/PHG weight ratio of 0.31) and good cycling stability (retention 91% after 30,000 cycles). Highly monodispersed very fine Fe3O4 NPs, covered by organic chains, have been also synthesized. The high surface area Fe3O4 NPs, after washing to leave a low content of organic chains able to avoid aggregation without excessively affecting the electrical properties of the material, exhibit remarkable pseudocapacitive activities, including the highest specific capacitance over reported for Fe3O4 (300 F/g at 0.5 A g−1).  相似文献

In this work, the metal oxide and biopolymer nanocomposites on multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) were prepared using a simple sonochemical method. The hexagonal nanorods of zinc oxide (ZnO NR) were synthesized by probe sonication (frequency = 20 kHz, amplitude = 50) method and were integrated on ultrasonically functionalized MWCNT-cellulose nanocrystals (MWCNT-CNC) for the first time. The stable hemin bio-composites also were prepared using the bath sonication (37 kHz of frequency, 150 W of power) method, and was used for the selective and ultrasensitive electrochemical detection of H2O2. The UV–Vis spectroscopy studies confirmed the presence of native hemin on MWCNT-CNC/ZnO NR nanocomposite. Cyclic voltammetry studies revealed that an enhanced redox electrochemical behaviour of hemin was observed on hemin immobilised MWCNT-CNC/ZnO NR nanocomposite than that of other hemin modified electrodes. Also, the MWCNT-CNC/ZnO NR/hemin modified SPCE showed 2.3 folds higher electrocatalytic activity with a lower reduction potential (−0.2 V) towards H2O2 than that of other investigated hemin modified electrodes including hemin/MWCNT and hemin/CNC-ZnO. The fabricated biosensor displayed a stable amperometric response (-0.2 V vs Ag/AgCl) in the linear concentration of H2O2 ranging up to 4183.3 µM with a lower detection limit of 4.0 nM.  相似文献

Ultrasonication is an emerging and evergreen technique for the efficient synthesis of the catalytically active heterostructured materials. In-situ one-pot ultrasonic-assisted synthesis method was demonstrated in this work for the fabrication of silver tungstate encrusted polypyrrole nanocomposite using semi-automatic ultrasonic probe maintained at 34°C/50 kHz ultrasonic frequency and at 150 W ultrasonic power. This material retains enhanced optical, electrical, morphological properties, photocatalytic behavior in photodegradation of congo red dye, tetracycline drug and its electrochemical sensing potential for the effective determination of a broad spectrum of antibacterial drug, nitrofurazone. Optical properties were investigated using UltraViolet–Visible diffuse reflectance spectral (UV–VIS DRS) data along with Tauc’s bandgap energy calculations. The morphological properties were examined using FESEM and TEM micrographs. All the PXRD and XPS details prove the effective distribution of PPy on the surface of Ag2WO4 rods with the help of powerful ultrasonic assistance. PPy acted as a support for nucleation and growth of Ag2WO4 and an inhibitor of phase transformations. Ag2WO4/PPy exhibits great photocatalytic behavior while comparing with pure PPy and Ag2WO4 in the degradation of carcinogenic dye congo red and antibiotic drug tetracycline. In addition to that, Ag2WO4/PPy modified GCE exposed a widespread linear range from 0.1 to 107 µM along with a very low detection limit of 12 nM and huge sensitivity of 1.74 µA µM−1cm−2 in the electrochemical determination of nitrofurazone.  相似文献
