The Fermi contact parameter which represents hyperfine structure (hfs) has been accurately calculated for the ground state
of the 9Be+ ion in a previous paper. In the present paper, the calculated parameter is compared with a high precision measurement to
derive the hfs anomaly (the Bohr-Weisskopf effect), which is caused by nuclear magnetization distribution. The obtained hfs
anomaly shows a satisfactory agreement with the result of a nuclear shell model calculation.

The revised analysis of the hyperfine structure of the complex atoms on several selected examples has been performed. The
complete set of corrections up to the second order perturbation theory has been taken into account and the accuracy of the
wave functions in the intermediate coupling scheme has been carefully checked. The still remaining discrepancies suggest that
the commonly used approximate model of the hyperfine structure might require revision.

Isotope shifts and hyperfine spectrum of singly ionized neodymium ion was measured by collinear fast-ion-beam laser spectroscopy. The hyperfine A constants and B constants are obtained for the (23230)9/2^0 level and 4f^45d ^6K9/2 level, respectively. The optical isotope shifts between seven isotopes in the 580.56 nm of^142-145,146,148,150Nd^ line are determined. The configuration admixtures for (23230)9/2^0 level were quantitatively analysed to be 4f^46p, 4f^35d^2, and 4f^35d6p with mixing coefficients of 67%, 5%, and 28%, respectively. 相似文献

This paper discusses the level splitting of the antiprotonic helium atomcule, an exotic atom consisting of a helium nucleus,
an electron, and an antiproton which occupies highly excited states with angular momentum of L ≈ 30–35. The observation of a splitting in a laser transition between two levels is presented, and an experiment in preparation
at the forthcoming AD facility at CERN is described which aims at directly measuring the level splitting by using a 2-laser
microwave triple resonance technique. This experiment has the potential to determine the magnetic moment of the antiproton
with higher precision than currently known.

High-resolution resonance ionization mass spectrometry has been used to measure isotope shifts and hyperfine structure in
all (J
= 2-6) and the transitions of gadolinium (Gd I). Gadolinium atoms in an atomic beam were excited with a tunable single-frequency laser in
the wavelength range of 422-429 nm. Resonant excitation was followed by photoionization with the 363.8 nm line of an argon
ion laser and resulting ions were mass separated and detected with a quadrupole mass spectrometer. Isotope shifts for all
stable gadolinium isotopes in these transitions have been measured for the first time. Additionally, the hyperfine structure
constants of the upper states have been derived for the isotopes
155, 157
Gd and are compared with previous work. Using prior experimental values for the mean nuclear charge radii, derived from the
combination of muonic atoms and electron scattering data, field shift and specific mass shift coefficients for the investigated
transitions have been determined and nuclear charge parameters for the minor isotopes
152, 154
Gd have been calculated.

We have classified about 200 new lines and have discovered 13 energy levels with even parity and 1 level with odd parity by
means of the systematic hyperfine structure investigation of a large number of spectral lines of the neutral tantalum atom.
For the new levels we deduced their angular momenta, parity and magnetic hyperfine interaction constants A as well as the electric quadrupole interaction constants B.

We report on further investigations of the hyperfine structure of spectral lines of the neutral tantalum atom. Besides determination
of the hyperfine constants A and B of 21 levels we report on the discovery of 9 up to now unknown fine structure levels for which we could determine their energy
position, parity, angular momentum and the constants A and B. For a large number of up to now unclassified lines the combinations could be identified.

Hyperfine structures of ICl in its vibronic ground state due to the nuclear spin and electric quadruple interactions are determined by diagonalizing the effective Hamiltonian matrix. Furthermore, the Stark sub-levels are precisely determined as well. The results are helpful for electro-static manipulation(trapping or further cooling) of cold ICl molecules. For example, an electric field of 1000 V/cm can trap ICl molecules less than 637 μK in the lowest hyperfine level. 相似文献

The present status of calculations of the hyperfine splitting and the transition probability between the hyperfine splitting
components in hydrogen and lithium like ions is discussed. The results of the calculations are compared with recent experimental
data. A special attention is focused on the hyperfine splitting in hydrogen like lead and lithium like bismuth. It is shown
that the theoretical prediction for the ground state hyperfine splitting in lead based on the single particle nuclear model
for the Bohr-Weisskopf effect is in fair agreement with experiment. The theoretical prediction for the ground state hyperfine
splitting in lithium like bismuth is improved due to more accurate calculations of the interelectronic interaction, QED, and
nuclear corrections.

A new ion beam of 229Th is available at the Jyväsklyä IGISOL facility, produced from the α decay of 233U. A small branching ratio (≈ 2%) is believed to populate the inferred low-lying (5.5 eV) isomeric state in 229Th. A laser ionization scheme is currently being developed to improve the yield of 229Th from the source. The ion source uses a novel electric field configuration for fast and efficient extraction of α-recoils and is able to provide beams of short lived (τ≥ 30 ms) radioactive nuclei. Identification of the isomeric state by collinear laser spectroscopy will reduce the lower lifetime limit of the state and provide the first direct evidence for its existence. 相似文献

We demonstrate a technique to measure hyperfine structure using a frequency-stabilized diode laser and an acousto-optic modulator
locked to the frequency difference between two hyperfine peaks. We use this technique to measure hyperfine intervals in the
5
P
3/2
state of 85Rb and obtain a precision of 20 kHz. We extract values for the magnetic-dipole coupling constant A
= 25.038(5) MHz and the electric-quadrupole coupling constant B
= 26.011(22) MHz. These values are a significant improvement over previous results.

The MSXα cluster technique has been used to study the electronic structure of hematite α-Fe2O3, where iron is formally in a 3d56S state. The calculated energy levels are compared with X-ray emission and photoelectron spectra. The wave functions have been used to compute the charge distribution, as well as hyperfine parameters such as quadrupole coupling constant, isomer shift and magnetic hyperfine field. The results indicate a considerable influence of chemical bonding on these parameters due to charge transfer and covalency. From the calculated field gradient and the measured quadrupole coupling constant a nuclear quadrupole moment for 57mTe of about 0.11b is deduced. This value is smaller than the most recent estimates of 0.15b based on the ionic model but not as small as the value of 0.082b obtained from first principles calculations on iron dihalides. 相似文献
