Let ∑ be either an oriented hyperplane or the unit sphere in , let be open and connected and let be an open and connected domain in such that . If in is a null solution of the Dirac operator (also called a monogenic function in ) which is continuously extendable to , then conditions upon are given enabling the monogenic extension of across . In such a way Schwarz reflection type principles for monogenic functions are established in the Spin (1) and Spin cases. The Spin (1) case includes the classical Schwarz reflection principle for holomorphic functions in the plane. The Spin case deals with so-called “half boundary value problems” for the Dirac operator. We introduce one-sided thick subcategories of an arbitrary preadditive category and define a quotient category . When is abelian, this concept specializes to Grothendieck’s quotient for two-sided thick . We determine the left noetherian rings for which the injective modules form a left thick subcategory. We exhibit a class of one-sided thick subcategories in categories of coherent functors which are ubiquitous in representation theory. Received: 14 November 2006 Revised: 12 March 2007  相似文献

Starting with an integral representation for the class of continuously differentiable solutions of the system
where is the complex Clifford algebra constructed over are some suitable Clifford vectors and their corresponding Dirac operators, we define the isotonic Cauchy transform and establish the Sokhotski-Plemelj formulae. Some consequences of this result are also derived.  相似文献

We identify two noncommutative structures naturally associated with countable directed graphs. They are formulated in the language of operators on Hilbert spaces. If G is a countable directed graphs with its vertex set V(G) and its edge set E(G), then we associate partial isometries to the edges in E(G) and projections to the vertices in V(G). We construct a corresponding von Neumann algebra as a groupoid crossed product algebra of an arbitrary fixed von Neumann algebra M and the graph groupoid induced by G, via a graph-representation (or a groupoid action) α. Graph groupoids are well-determined (categorial) groupoids. The graph groupoid of G has its binary operation, called admissibility. This has concrete local parts , for all eE(G). We characterize of , induced by the local parts of , for all eE(G). We then characterize all amalgamated free blocks of . They are chracterized by well-known von Neumann algebras: the classical group crossed product algebras , and certain subalgebras (M) of operator-valued matricial algebra . This shows that graph von Neumann algebras identify the key properties of graph groupoids. Received: December 20, 2006. Revised: March 07, 2007. Accepted: March 13, 2007.  相似文献

Let and . We are interested in the lower bounds of the integral:
where h > 0 and . Using the lower bounds for these integrals we obtain in particular for the so-called Fejér operator of the following asymptotic expression
which essentially improves the results concerning the approximation behavior of this operator. Received: 10 January 2006  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to give new and general characterizations for uniform dichotomy and uniform exponential dichotomy of evolution families on the real line. We consider two general classes denoted and and we prove that if V,W are Banach function spaces with and , then the admissibility of the pair for an evolution family implies the uniform dichotomy of . In addition, we consider a subclass and we prove that if , then the admissibility of the pair implies the uniform exponential dichotomy of the family . This condition becomes necessary if . Finally, we present some applications of the main results.  相似文献

Let E, E* be separable Hilbert spaces. If S is an open subset of , then denotes the space of all functions that are holomorphic in , and bounded and continuous on . In this article we prove the following results:
1.  A theorem concerning the approximation of by a function F that is holomorphic in a neighbourhood of and such that the error Ff is uniformly bounded in the disk .
2.  The corona theorem for when dim(E) < ∞: If there exists a δ > 0 such that for all , , then there exists a such that for all , g(z)f(z) = I.
3.  The problem of complementing to an isomorphism for when {dim(E) < ∞ (Tolokonnikov’s lemma): has a left inverse iff it is a ‘part’ of an invertible element F in .

Let E be a separable infinite-dimensional Hilbert space, and let denote the algebra of all functions that are holomorphic. If is a subalgebra of , then using an algebraic result of Corach and Larotonda, we derive that under some conditions, the Bass stable rank of is infinite. In particular, we deduce that the Bass (and hence topological stable ranks) of the Hardy algebra , the disk algebra and the Wiener algebra are all infinite. Let G be a connected simply connected almost -simple algebraic group with non-compact and a cocompact congruence subgroup. For any homogeneous manifold of finite volume, and a , we show that the Hecke orbit T a (x 0 H) is equidistributed on as , provided H is a non-compact commutative reductive subgroup of G. As a corollary, we generalize the equidistribution result of Hecke points ([COU], [EO1]) to homogeneous spaces G/H. As a concrete application, we describe the equidistribution result in the rational matrices with a given characteristic polynomial. The second author partially supported by DMS 0333397. In the present paper we prove that the collection of all convexities of partial monounary algebras is finite; namely, it has exactly 23 elements. Further, we show that for each element there exists a subset of such that is generated by and card . We show that if μ is a finite Borel measure on the complex plane such that
for μ-a.e. , then μ must be the addition of some point masses, plus some measure absolutely continuous with respect to arc length on countably many rectifiable curves, plus another measure with zero linear density. We also prove that the same conclusion holds if instead of the condition μ-a.e. one assumes as -a.e. A CDCSL algebra is a reflexive operator algebra with completely distributive and commutative subspace lattice. In this paper, we show, for a weakly closed linear subspace of a CDCSL algebra , that is a Lie ideal if and only if for all invertibles A in , and that is a Jordan ideal if and only if it is an associative ideal.  相似文献

We extend the results for 2-D Boussinesq equations from ℝ2 to a bounded domain Ω. First, as for the existence of weak solutions, we transform Boussinesq equations to a nonlinear evolution equation U t + A(t, U) = 0. In stead of using the methods of fundamental solutions in the case of entire ℝ2, we study the qualities of F(u, υ) = (u · ▽)υ to get some useful estimates for A(t, U), which helps us to conclude the local-in-time existence and uniqueness of solutions. Second, as for blow-up criterions, we use energy methods, Sobolev inequalities and Gronwall inequality to control and by and . Furthermore, can control by using vorticity transportation equations. At last, can control . Thus, we can find a blow-up criterion in the form of .   相似文献

The moduli space parameterizes the isomorphism classes of S-pointed stable real curves of genus zero which are invariant under relabeling by the involution σ. This moduli space is stratified according to the degeneration types of σ-invariant curves. The degeneration types of σ-invariant curves are encoded by their dual trees with additional decorations. We construct a combinatorial graph complex generated by the fundamental classes of strata of . We show that the homology of is isomorphic to the homology of our graph complex. We also give a presentation of the fundamental group of .   相似文献

We study two questions posed by Johnson, Lindenstrauss, Preiss, and Schechtman, concerning the structure of level sets of uniform and Lipschitz quotient mappings from . We show that if , is a uniform quotient mapping then for every has a bounded number of components, each component of separates and the upper bound of the number of components depends only on and the moduli of co-uniform and uniform continuity of .Next we prove that all level sets of any co-Lipschitz uniformly continuous mapping from to are locally connected, and we show that for every pair of a constant and a function with , there exists a natural number , so that for every co-Lipschitz uniformly continuous map with a co-Lipschitz constant and a modulus of uniform continuity , there exists a natural number and a finite set with card so that for all has exactly components, has exactly components and each component of is homeomorphic with the real line and separates the plane into exactly 2 components. The number and form of components of for are also described - they have a finite tree structure.  相似文献

Passive linear systems τ = have their transfer function in the Schur class S . Using a parametrization of contractive block operators the transfer function is connected to the Sz.-Nagy–Foiaş characteristic function of the contraction A. This gives a new aspect and some explicit formulas for studying the interplay between the system τ and the functions and . The method leads to some new results for linear passive discrete-time systems. Also new proofs for some known facts in the theory of these systems are obtained.
