In terms of the coupled mode theory and transfer matrix technique, novel formulas of the amplitude coupling ratio and transfer functions are presented for a parallel-cascaded microring resonator array (PCMRR). By using these formulas, effects of structural parameters, especially the ring spacing, on the spectral response are analyzed for this kind of polymer device. The box-like spectral response is successfully obtained due to the proper selection of the ring spacing, amplitude coupling ratio and the number of rings.  相似文献

We propose a novel resonator containing an elliptical microring based on a silicon-on-insulator platform. Simulations using the three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain method show that the novel elliptical microring can efficiently enhance the mode coupling between straight bus waveguides and resonator waveguides or between adjacent resonators while preserving relatively high intrinsic quality factors with large free spectral range. The proposed resonator would be an alternative choice for future high-density integrated photonic circuits.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new concept of birefringence-based sensor using the entangled photon timing walk-off compensation. The superposition of nonlinear light known as four-wave mixing is introduced by the Kerr nonlinear effects type within the ring device. The possible two entangled photon pairs are randomly generated using the polarization control unit. Results obtained have shown that the entangled state walk-off of light traveling within the ring device can be compensated. This means the changes in walk-off parameters can be relatively measured to the changes in the applied physical parameters. The potential of using such a proposed system for birefringence-based sensor applications is plausible and discussed.  相似文献

<正>On the silicon-on-insulator platform,an ultra compact temperature-insensitive modulator based on a cascaded microring assistant Mach-Zehnder interferometer is proposed and demonstrated with numerical simulation.According to the calculated results,the tolerated variation of ambient temperature can be as high as 134℃while the footprint of such a silicon modulator is only 340μm~2.  相似文献

运用激光模式耦合理论分析了半导体激光器与楔形柱面光纤微透镜的连接损耗,设计并制作了楔形柱面光纤微透镜用来实现两者的模斑匹配。运用ABCD矩阵方法,对该组件的耦合效率进行了仿真计算和分析,得到了高耦合效率下楔形柱面光纤微透镜的结构参数。该方法可有效地用于楔形柱面光纤微透镜的优化设计。  相似文献

提出一种干涉式全光纤传感器,能够同时实现对折射率和轴向拉力或温度进行双参数测量。传感器由一个微腔和一个纤芯失配衰减器组成。其中微腔结构是由飞秒激光加工光纤纤芯形成,直径和深度分别是6μm和2.5μm。该干涉式传感器可以获得20dB的高品质干涉对比度。传感器透射谱波长为1496.68nm和1533.18nm的两个衰减峰对应的折射率灵敏度分别为-29.91nm/RIU和-16.72nm/RIU,拉力灵敏度分别为-1.55pm/με和-0.31pm/με。实验结果表明,传感器通过灵敏度矩阵可以同时测量折射率和轴向拉力或温度两个参数。  相似文献

A simple configuration is proposed to perform wavelength switching in actively mode-locked fiber ring lasers, in which a sampled fiber Bragg grating and a tunable optical filter are cascaded in the ring cavity to exactly select the operating wavelength. The switching of four wavelengths with a spacing of 1.6 nm is obtained. The experimental results demonstrate that this technique is reliable and convenient.  相似文献

微环谐振器可用作未来高密度、超大规模集成光路的基本构件,其重要发展方向之一是多环化、阵列化,微环谐振器阵列近来成为研究的热点。基于定向耦合器、环形谐振腔、直波导腔的基本单元传输矩阵,建立了用于分析微环谐振器阵列传输特性的传输矩阵模型。讨论了列间距对传输特性的影响,并数值模拟了不同尺度的奇数行和偶数行情况下谐振器阵列的传输特性。结合此传输矩阵模型,讨论了通过改变微环谐振器阵列的尺度以及耦合系数以实现滤波特性改善的方案。最后数值研究了最小尺度微环谐振器阵列传输特性与腔间耦合系数的关系。  相似文献

Optical microring resonators are extensively employed in a wide range of physical studies and applications due to the resonance enhancement property.Incorporating coupling control of a microring resonator is necessary in many scenarios,but modifications are essentially added to the resonator and impair the capability of optical enhancement.Here,we propose a flexible coupling structure based on adiabatic elimination that allows low-loss active coupling control without any modifications to the resonators.The self-coupling coefficient can be monotonically or non-monotonically controllable by the proposed coupler,potentially at a high speed.The characteristic of the coupler when implemented in silicon microring resonators is investigated in detail using substantiated analytical theory and experiments.This work provides a general method in coupling control while ensuring the resonance enhancement property,making active coupling control in a resonator-waveguide system feasible.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a broadband all-fiber non-uniformly spaced multi-channel optical filter, which is based on the utilization of paired multi-channel fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) located at two arms of an interferometer. Unlike the traditional optical comb filter, the channel spacing may be either linearly or nonlinearly chirped. Serving as an example, two identical linearly-chirped 51-channel FBGs have been successfully employed to demonstrate the proposed filter experimentally.  相似文献

通过将标准单芯单模光纤与纤芯圆对称分布的多芯光纤的一个纤芯对准熔接后,再在多芯光纤任意位置进行热熔融拉锥,实现多芯光纤光功率的高效耦合注入和光功率在各个纤芯中分布比例的控制,解决了由于多芯光纤结构的特殊性引起的光源光功率难于直接注入的问题。基于光纤耦合模理论建立多芯光纤各纤芯之间的耦合模方程,得到各个纤芯中光功率与耦合长度之间的关系曲线,并与实际耦合实验结果对比,验证该方法可行。研究结果可为多芯光纤光学器件的发展提供潜在的应用价值。  相似文献

Coupling a single-mode laser diode with 200 mW to a single-mode fiber (SMF) through an orthonormal aspherical cylindrical lens and a GRIN lens for the intersatellite optical communication system is proposed and demonstrated. We experimentally studied how the coupling efficiency changes with the SMF's position displacement and axial angle variation, and obtained 80 mW output power at the end of the SMF, which shows that the coupling units have satisfied the designed request.  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate a volume holographic optical element (VHOE) for signal-mode fiber coupling and the sending of conjugate waves of reference light for the construction of holographic elements. Given the inherent Bragg conditions of the VHOE, the angular tolerances of the conjugate reading light in both the horizontal and vertical directions are studied under different conditions.  相似文献
