We have investigated experimentally the collision-induced electronic energy transfer between the CH A(2)Delta and B(2)Sigma(-) states with the series of partners He, Ar, H(2), N(2), CO, and CO(2). Single rovibronic states of either of the near-degenerate levels A(2)Delta, v = 1, or B(2)Sigma(-), v = 0, were prepared by laser excitation. Collisional transfer processes were monitored by detecting dispersed, time-resolved fluorescence from the initial and product states. The microscopic rate constants for vibronically resolved transfer between the A(2)Delta and B(2)Sigma(-) states, vibrational relaxation within the A state, and total removal to unobserved final products were determined for each partner. In line with previous work, we find that only CO and H(2) are efficient at total removal of CH A(2)Delta and B(2)Sigma(-), most probably through chemical reaction. CO(2) is notably effective at A(2)Delta state vibrational relaxation, possibly through resonant vibrational energy transfer. All the partners cause transfer between CH A(2)Delta and B(2)Sigma(-). An important new observation is that their efficiencies are well correlated with the strength of long-range attractive forces, as revealed through a positive correlation of the Parmenter-Seaver type. The vibronic branching to A(2)Delta, v = 0 and 1 from B(2)Sigma(-), v = 0 is found to be significantly collision-partner-dependent and not well predicted by energy gap scaling laws. We do not find any enhanced effectiveness in B(2)Sigma(-) to A(2)Delta coupling for those partners which form strongly bound intermediates, suggesting that this specific electronic channel is controlled by different regions of the potential energy surfaces.  相似文献

We have measured the photodissociation spectrum of CH(+) and CD(+) molecular ions, stored as fast (MeV) ion beams in the heavy-ion storage ring TSR. Several b (3)Sigma(-)-a (3)Pi bands were observed as strong resonances because a large fraction of the ions in the metastable a (3)Pi(v=0) state were pumped to b (3)Sigma(-) levels and predissociated via the c (3)Sigma(+) state into C(+) and H(D) fragments. From a rotational analysis of the 2-0, 3-0, and 4-0 bands in CH(+) and the 3-0 and 4-0 bands in CD(+), we derive spectroscopic constants for these levels and also revise a previous analysis of the 0-0 and 1-0 bands in CH(+). Combining all data delivers new, significantly adjusted equilibrium constants for the b (3)Sigma(-) and a (3)Pi electronic states. Apart from the spectroscopic analysis, we estimate the predissociation rates of the upper b (3)Sigma(-) vibrational levels in CH(+) and compare them to a model. For the initial rovibrational distribution of the stored metastable CH(+) molecules, the data indicate a faster vibrational cooling than derived before, and rotational cooling at a rate similar to the X (1)Sigma(+) ground state. New aspects of the spin-forbidden a (3)Pi-X (1)Sigma(+) radiative decay are discussed. Finally, we predict b (3)Sigma(-)-a (3)Pi absorption and a (3)Pi-X (1)Sigma(+) emission lines through which CH(+) in the metastable a (3)Pi(v=0) state might be detectable in astrophysical environments.  相似文献

The Cs(2) 2 (3)Delta(1g) and b (3)Pi(0u) states have been observed by infrared-infrared double resonance spectroscopy for the first time. 221 2 (3)Delta(1g)<--A (1)Sigma(u) (+)<--X (1)Sigma(g) (+) double resonance lines have been assigned to transitions into the 2 (3)Delta(1g) v=6-13 vibrational levels. Resolved fluorescence into the b (3)Pi(0u) v(')=0-48 levels has been recorded. Molecular constants and potential energy curves are determined by the global fit of the entire set of the experimental data. Theoretical potential energy curves of the 2 (3)Delta(g) and b (3)Pi(u) states have been determined in the framework of the pseudopotential method and are compared with the experimental results.  相似文献

Fourier transform visible spectroscopy, in conjunction with VUV photons produced by a synchrotron, is employed to investigate the photodissociation of CH3CN. Emission is observed from both the CN(B2Sigma+-X2Sigma+) and CH(A2Delta-X2Pi) transitions; only the former is observed in spectra recorded at 10.2 and 11.5 eV, whereas both are detected in the 16 eV spectrum. The rotational and vibrational temperatures of both the CN(B2Sigma+) and CH(A2Delta) radical products are derived using a combination of spectral simulations and Boltzmann plots. The CN(B2Sigma+) fragment displays a bimodal rotational distribution in all cases. Trot(CN(B2Sigma+)) ranges from 375 to 600 K at lower K' and from 1840 to 7700 K at higher K' depending on the photon energy used. Surprisal analyses indicate clear bimodal rotational distributions, suggesting CN(B2Sigma+) is formed via either linear or bent transition states, respectively, depending on the extent of rotational excitation in this fragment. CH(A2Delta) has a single rotational distribution when produced at 16 eV, which results in Trot(CH(A2Delta))=4895+/-140 K in v'=0 and 2590+/-110 K in v'=1. From thermodynamic calculations, it is evident that CH(A2Delta) is produced along with CN(X2Sigma+)+H2. These products can be formed by a two step mechanism (via excited CH3* and ground state CN(X2Sigma+)) or a process similar to the "roaming" atom mechanism; the data obtained here are insufficient to definitively conclude whether either pathway occurs. A comparison of the CH(A2Delta) and CN(B2Sigma+) rotational distributions produced by 16 eV photons allows the ratio between the two excited fragments at this energy to be determined. An expression that considers the rovibrational populations of both band systems results in a CH(A2Delta):CN(B2Sigma+) ratio of (1.2+/-0.1):1 at 16 eV, thereby indicating that production of CH(A2Delta) is significant at 16 eV.  相似文献

Guided by theoretical predictions, the rotational spectra of the mono- and bideuterated species of trans-1-chloro-2-fluoroethylene, CH35Cl=CDF, CH37Cl=CDF, CD35Cl=CHF, CD37Cl=CHF, CD35Cl=CDF, and CD37Cl=CDF, have been recorded for the first time. Assignment of the Delta J = 0 and Delta K(-1) = +1 bands with K(-1) = 3,4,5,... (all isotopic species) as well as of several Delta J = +/-1 and Delta K(-1) = +1 transitions (all isotopic species except CH37Cl=CDF, CD37Cl=CHF, and CD37Cl=CDF) led to the accurate determination of the ground-state rotational constants, the quartic, and some sextic centrifugal distortion constants, as well as the nuclear quadrupole coupling constants for both 35Cl and 37Cl in good agreement with corresponding theoretical predictions based on high-level coupled-cluster calculations. Inconsistencies of the present spectroscopic parameters with respect to those reported earlier for the two main isotopologues, i.e., CH35Cl=CHF and CH37Cl=CHF, necessitated a reinvestigation of the rotational spectra for these two isotopic species. Supported by quantum chemical calculations, the previously recorded spectra are reassigned to a vibrationally excited state, while analysis of the Delta J = 0 and Delta K(-1) = +1 as well as some Delta J = +/-1 and Delta K(-1) = +1 transitions provided a revised set of spectroscopic parameters for the vibrational ground state of these two isotopic species.  相似文献

With photolysis-probe technique, we have studied vibrational and rotational energy transfers of CH involving the B (2)Sigma(-) (v=1, 0F(1) transitions are larger than the reverse F(1)-->F(2) transitions in DeltaN=0 for the Ar and CO collisions. The trend of fine-structure conservation is along the order of N(2)O相似文献

Reported is a time-resolved infrared and optical kinetics investigation of the transient species CH(3)C(O)Mn(CO)(4) (I(Mn)) generated by flash photolysis of the acetyl manganese pentacarbonyl complex CH(3)C(O)Mn(CO)(5) (A(Mn)) in cyclohexane and in tetrahydrofuran. Activation parameters were determined for CO trapping of I(Mn) to regenerate A(Mn) (rate = k(CO) [CO][I(Mn)]) as well as the methyl migration pathway to form methylmanganese pentacarbonyl CH(3)Mn(CO)(5) (M(Mn)) (rate = k(M)[I(Mn)]). These values were Delta H(++)(CO) = 31 +/- 1 kJ mol(-1), Delta S(++)(CO) = -64 +/- 3 J mol(-1) K(-1), Delta H(++)(M) = 35 +/- 1 kJ mol(-1), and Delta S(++)(M) = -111 +/- 3 J mol(-1) K(-1). Substantially different activation parameters were found for the methyl migration kinetics of I(Mn) in THF solutions where Delta H(++)(M) = 68 +/- 4 kJ mol(-1) and Delta S(++)(M) = 10 +/- 10 J mol(-1) K(-1), consistent with the earlier conclusion (Boese, W. T.; Ford, P. C. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1995, 117, 8381-8391) that the composition of I(Mn) is different in these two media. The possible isotope effect on k(M) was also evaluated by studying the intermediates generated from flash photolysis of CD(3)C(O)Mn(CO)(5) in cyclohexane, but this was found to be nearly negligible (k(M)(h)/k(M)(d) (298 K) = 0.97 +/- 0.05, Delta H(++)(M)(d) = 37 +/- 4 kJ mol(-1), and Delta S(++)(M)(d) = -104 +/- 12 J mol(-1) K(-1)). The relevance to the migratory insertion mechanism of CH(3)Mn(CO)(5), a model for catalytic carbonylations, is discussed.  相似文献

The nd (1)Delta(g) (n = 6, 7, and 8) Rydberg states of Na(2) correlating with the asymptotic limits of Na(3s) + Na(nd) have been observed using high-resolution cw optical-optical double resonance spectroscopy corresponding to the rovibrational transitions X (1)Sigma(g)(+)(v("),J(")) + h nu(pump) --> B (1)Pi(u)(v('),J(')) + h nu(probe) --> nd (1)Delta(g)(v,J). Totals of 104, 83, and 45 identified rovibrational e/f-parity levels in the ranges of v = 0-11, 11 < or = J < or = 83; v = 0-10, 11 < or = J < or = 83; and v = 0-10, 11 < or = J < or = 65, have been assigned to the 6d (1)Delta(g), 7d (1)Delta(g), and 8d (1)Delta(g) states, respectively. Using the observed quantum levels, molecular constants were determined from the Dunham fits of the e-parity levels and the Rydberg-Klein-Rees potential curves were constructed for the nd (1)Delta(g)(n = 6-8) states. The characteristics of the estimated Lambda-doubling splitting constants (q(0), q(v), and mu) with n(= 5-8) of the nd (1)Delta(g) series have been explored. Detailed investigations reveal that the nd (1)Delta(g)(n = 6-8) states involve L uncoupling from the internuclear axis and each of these states is affected by an asymmetric perturbation caused by the up and down adjacent states. The rotational-branch intensity and position anomalies in the observed spectra of the nd (1)Delta(g) series (n = 5-8) of Na(2) lead to the conclusion that due to the effects of the L-uncoupling perturbations, the same l complexes approaching the same ion-core limits result in the same l-mixing processes which lead to the formation of the supercomplexes due to the anisotropy of the molecular-ion [Na(2)(+)(3s)] field. This would open up opportunities to study the effects of L uncoupling and perturbations in the nd series and high Rydberg states of other alkali dimers.  相似文献

The recently proposed ab initio single-sheeted double many-body expansion potential energy for the methylene molecule has been used to perform quasiclassical trajectory (QCT) calculations for the title reaction. Thermal and initial state-specific (v = 0, j = 0) rate constants for the C((1)D) + H(2)/HD/D(2) reactions have been obtained over a wide range of temperatures. Cross sections for the reaction C((1)D) + H(2) and its deuterated isotopes have also been calculated, as well as the CD/CH branching ratios for the C((1)D) + HD reaction. It is found that the CD + H product channel in the C((1)D) + HD reaction is preferred relative to the CH + D channel. The estimated rate constants are predicted to be in the order k(H2) > k(HD) > k(D2) and the calculated cross sections and rate constants compared with available theoretical and experimental data.  相似文献

The spin-orbit (A = -16.4 cm(-1)) and rotational (B = 1.017 cm(-1)) constants for the N2 C" 5Pi(ui)(v = 3) level are determined by a fit to rotational lines in the C" 5Pi(u)-A' 5Sigma(g)+(3-1) band that terminate in J'Omega' = 3(3), 4(3), 3(2), and 4(2) levels of the C" state. The C"-state spin-orbit constant is consistent with semi-empirical estimates, based on spin-orbit constants observed in several other electronic states of N2 and the atomic spin-orbit coupling constant, zeta(N 2p). The C"-A' bands exhibit the unusual feature of oppositely degraded sub-band heads, Omega' = 3 (red) and Omega' = 1, 0, and -1 (blue). The unusually wide range of B(Omega)eff values, from 0.85 cm(-1) (Omega = 3) to 1.28 cm(-1) (Omega = -1) for C" 5Pi(v = 3) should be diagnostically useful for Omega'-assignments. The C" 5Pi(v = 3) level lies 14257.17 and 90599 cm(-1) above A' 5Sigma(g)+(v = 1) and X 1Sigma(g)+(v = 0), respectively, and Re(C" 5Pi) = 1.50 A.  相似文献

Collisions of the vibrationally excited OH(v = 1) molecule with atomic oxygen are investigated theoretically using a coupled-states, statistical capture (CS-ST) model. Vibrational relaxation can occur by inelastic scattering, and the vibrationally excited molecule can also be removed by reaction to form O(2) in both the ground (X (3)Sigma(g)(-)) and first excited (a (1)Delta(g)) state. In the former case, reaction occurs on the lowest potential energy surface of (2)A(") symmetry, and, in the latter case, by reaction on the lowest potential energy surface of (2)A(') symmetry. We report new ab initio potential energy surfaces for both these states in the product and reactant regions necessary for application of the coupled-states, statistical method. Comparison with exact, reactive scattering calculations within the J-shifting approximation indicate that the CS-ST rate constants for removal of OH(v = 1) can be expected to be reasonably accurate. Our calculated rate constants at 300 K agree well with the experimental results of Khachatrian and Dagdigian [Chem. Phys. Lett. 415, 1 (2005)]. Reaction to yield O(2) (X (3)Sigma(g)(-)) is the dominant removal pathway. At subthermal temperatures, the rate constants for the various vibrational quenching processes all increase down to T approximately = 60 K and then decrease at lower temperature.  相似文献

Methyl, methyl-d(3), and ethyl hydroperoxide anions (CH(3)OO(-), CD(3)OO(-), and CH(3)CH(2)OO(-)) have been prepared by deprotonation of their respective hydroperoxides in a stream of helium buffer gas. Photodetachment with 364 nm (3.408 eV) radiation was used to measure the adiabatic electron affinities: EA[CH(3)OO, X(2)A' '] = 1.161 +/- 0.005 eV, EA[CD(3)OO, X(2)A' '] = 1.154 +/- 0.004 eV, and EA[CH(3)CH(2)OO, X(2)A' '] = 1.186 +/- 0.004 eV. The photoelectron spectra yield values for the term energies: Delta E(X(2)A' '-A (2)A')[CH(3)OO] = 0.914 +/- 0.005 eV, Delta E(X(2)A' '-A (2)A')[CD(3)OO] = 0.913 +/- 0.004 eV, and Delta E(X(2)A' '-A (2)A')[CH(3)CH(2)OO] = 0.938 +/- 0.004 eV. A localized RO-O stretching mode was observed near 1100 cm(-1) for the ground state of all three radicals, and low-frequency R-O-O bending modes are also reported. Proton-transfer kinetics of the hydroperoxides have been measured in a tandem flowing afterglow-selected ion flow tube (FA-SIFT) to determine the gas-phase acidity of the parent hydroperoxides: Delta(acid)G(298)(CH(3)OOH) = 367.6 +/- 0.7 kcal mol(-1), Delta(acid)G(298)(CD(3)OOH) = 367.9 +/- 0.9 kcal mol(-1), and Delta(acid)G(298)(CH(3)CH(2)OOH) = 363.9 +/- 2.0 kcal mol(-1). From these acidities we have derived the enthalpies of deprotonation: Delta(acid)H(298)(CH(3)OOH) = 374.6 +/- 1.0 kcal mol(-1), Delta(acid)H(298)(CD(3)OOH) = 374.9 +/- 1.1 kcal mol(-1), and Delta(acid)H(298)(CH(3)CH(2)OOH) = 371.0 +/- 2.2 kcal mol(-1). Use of the negative-ion acidity/EA cycle provides the ROO-H bond enthalpies: DH(298)(CH(3)OO-H) = 87.8 +/- 1.0 kcal mol(-1), DH(298)(CD(3)OO-H) = 87.9 +/- 1.1 kcal mol(-1), and DH(298)(CH(3)CH(2)OO-H) = 84.8 +/- 2.2 kcal mol(-1). We review the thermochemistry of the peroxyl radicals, CH(3)OO and CH(3)CH(2)OO. Using experimental bond enthalpies, DH(298)(ROO-H), and CBS/APNO ab initio electronic structure calculations for the energies of the corresponding hydroperoxides, we derive the heats of formation of the peroxyl radicals. The "electron affinity/acidity/CBS" cycle yields Delta(f)H(298)[CH(3)OO] = 4.8 +/- 1.2 kcal mol(-1) and Delta(f)H(298)[CH(3)CH(2)OO] = -6.8 +/- 2.3 kcal mol(-1).  相似文献

The recombination rate constants for the reactions NH2(X2B1) + NH2(X2B1) + M → N2H4 + M and NH2(X2B1) + H + M → NH3 + M, where M was CH4, C2H6, CO2, CF4, or SF6, were measured in the same experiment over presseure ranges of 1-20 and 7-20 Torr, respectively, at 296 ± 2 K. The NH2 radical was produced by the 193 nm laser photolysis of NH3. Both NH2 and NH3 were monitored simultaneously following the photolysis laser pulse. High-resolution time-resolved absorption spectroscopy was used to monitor the temporal dependence of both species: NH2 on the (1)2(21) ← (1)3(31) rotational transition of the (0,7,0)A2A1 ← (0,0,0)X2B1 electronic transition near 675 nm and NH3 in the IR on either of the inversion doublets of the qQ3(3) rotational transition of the ν1 fundamental near 2999 nm. The NH2 self-recombination clearly exhibited falloff behavior for the third-body collision partners used in this work. The pressure dependences of the NH2 self-recombination rate constants were fit using Troe’s parametrization scheme, k(inf), k(0), and F(cent), with k(inf) = 7.9 × 10(-11) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1), the theoretical value calculated by Klippenstein et al. (J. Phys. Chem. A113, 113, 10241). The individual Troe parameters were CH4, k(0)(CH4) = 9.4 × 10(-29) and F(cent)(CH4) = 0.61; C2H6, k(0)(C2H6) = 1.5 × 10(-28) and F(cent)(C2H6) = 0.80; CO2, k(0)(CO2) = 8.6 × 10(-29) and F(cent)(CO2) = 0.66; CF4, k(0)(CF4) = 1.1 × 10(-28) and F(cent)(CF4) = 0.55; and SF6, k(0)(SF6) = 1.9 × 10(-28) and F(cent)(SF6) = 0.52, where the units of k0 are cm6 molecule(-2) s(-1). The NH2 + H + M reaction rate constant was assumed to be in the three-body pressure regime, and the association rate constants were CH4, (6.0 ± 1.8) × 10(-30); C2H6, (1.1 ± 0.41) × 10(-29); CO2, (6.5 ± 1.8) × 10(-30); CF4, (8.3 ± 1.7) × 10(-30); and SF6, (1.4 ± 0.30) × 10(-29), with units cm6 molecule(-1) s,(-1) and the systematic and experimental errors are given at the 2σ confidence level.  相似文献

A two-dimensional fluorescence (excitation/emission) spectrum of C2 produced in an acetylene discharge was used to identify and separate emission bands from the d (3)Pi(g)<--c (3)Sigma(u) (+) and d (3)Pi(g)<--a (3)Pi(u) excitations. Rotationally resolved excitation spectra of the (4<--1), (5<--1), (5<--2), and (7<--3) bands in the d (3)Pi(g)<--c (3)Sigma(u) (+) system of C2 were observed by laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy. The molecular constants of each vibrational level, determined from rotational analysis, were used to calculate the spectroscopic constants of the c (3)Sigma(u) (+) state. The principal molecular constants for the c (3)Sigma(u) (+) state are B(e)=1.9319(19) cm(-1), alpha(e)=0.018 55(69) cm(-1), omega(e)=2061.9 cm(-1), omega(e)x(e)=14.84 cm(-1), and T(0)(c-a)=8662.925(3) cm(-1). We report also the first experimental observations of dispersed fluorescence from the d (3)Pi(g) state to the c (3)Sigma(u) (+) state, namely, d (3)Pi(g)(v=3)-->c (3)Sigma(u) (+)(v=0,1).  相似文献

The reflected shock tube technique with multipass absorption spectrometric detection of OH radicals at 308 nm (corresponding to a total path length of approximately 4.9 m) has been used to study the dissociation of methanol between 1591 and 2865 K. Rate constants for two product channels [CH3OH + Kr --> CH3 + OH + Kr (1) and CH3OH + Kr --> 1CH2 + H2O + Kr (2)] were determined. During the course of the study, it was necessary to determine several other rate constants that contributed to the profile fits. These include OH + CH3OH --> products, OH + (CH3)2CO --> CH2COCH3 + H2O, and OH + CH3 --> 1,3CH2 + H2O. The derived expressions, in units of cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1), are k(1) = 9.33 x 10(-9) exp(-30857 K/T) for 1591-2287 K, k(2) = 3.27 x 10(-10) exp(-25946 K/T) for 1734-2287 K, kOH+CH3OH = 2.96 x 10-16T1.4434 exp(-57 K/T) for 210-1710 K, k(OH+(CH3)(2)CO) = (7.3 +/- 0.7) x 10(-12) for 1178-1299 K and k(OH+CH3) = (1.3 +/- 0.2) x 10(-11) for 1000-1200 K. With these values along with other well-established rate constants, a mechanism was used to obtain profile fits that agreed with experiment to within <+/-10%. The values obtained for reactions 1 and 2 are compared with earlier determinations and also with new theoretical calculations that are presented in the preceding article in this issue. These new calculations are in good agreement with the present data for both (1) and (2) and also for OH + CH3 --> products.  相似文献

A new band system of C(2), d (3)Pi(g)<--c (3)Sigma(u) (+) is observed by laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy, constituting the first direct detection of the c (3)Sigma(u) (+) state of C(2). Observations were made by laser excitation of c (3)Sigma(u) (+)(v(")=0) C(2), produced in an acetylene discharge, to the d (3)Pi(g)(v(')=3) level, followed by detection of Swan band fluorescence. Rotational analysis of this band yielded rotational constants for the c (3)Sigma(u) (+)(v(")=0) state: B(0)=1.9218(2) cm(-1), lambda(0)=-0.335(4) cm(-1) and gamma(0)=0.011(2) cm(-1). The vibrational band origin was determined to be nu(3-0)=15861.28 cm(-1).  相似文献

We have calculated the state-to-state integral cross sections and rate constants for the rotationally inelastic collision of CH(B (2)Sigma(-), nu=0, N-->N') with Ar using the quantum coupled-state and close-coupling methods on an ab initio potential-energy surface constructed by Alexander et al. [J. Chem. Phys. 101, 4547 (1994)]. Overall the calculated rate constants are in good agreements with the three available experimental results. The rate constants are comparable to the usual gas kinetic and decrease with increasing N and DeltaN. For the multiquantum transition cases, the theory underestimates the experiment. We discuss some possible causes to the discrepancies among the theory and the experiments.  相似文献

We have investigated the Rb2 475 nm system by resonance enhanced two-photon ionization spectroscopy in a pulsed molecular beam. Strong extra bands accompanying the 2 (1)Pi(u) v' = 5 - 8 <-- X (1)Sigma(g)(+) v' = 0 bands were newly observed. Rotational analysis of the main and extra bands reveals that the 2 (1)Pi(u) v' = 5 - 8 levels are significantly perturbed, mainly by the 3 (3)Sigma(u)(+)(1 u) state and also by the 2 (3)Pi(u)(1 u) state. For the major perturber, 3 (3)Sigma(u)(+)(1 u), the intensity borrowing has been found to be facilitated by the 2 (1)Pi(u)-3 (3)Sigma(u)(+)(1 u) potential energy curve crossing near 21,100 cm(-1). For the vibronic-band intensities of the 2 (3)Pi(u)(1 u) v' <-- X (1)Sigma(g)(+) v' = 0 transitions observed in this spectral region, intensity borrowing was most effective when the 2 (3)Pi(u)(1 u) levels were close to the 3 (3)Sigma(u)(+)(1 u) levels. A deperturbation fit for the perturbing bands has provided the 2 (1)Pi(u)-3 (3)Sigma(u)(+)(1 u) coupling constants.  相似文献

The branching of the title reaction into several product channels has been investigated quantitatively by laser infrared kinetic spectroscopy for CH(4) and CD(4). It is found that OH (OD) is produced in 67 +/- 5% (60 +/- 5%) yield compared to the initial O((1)D) concentration. H (D) product is produced in 30 +/- 10%(35 +/- 10%). H(2)CO is produced in 5% yield in the CH(4) system (it was not possible to measure the CD(2)O yield in the CD(4) case). D(2)O is produced in 8% yield in the CD(4) system (it was not feasible to measure the H(2)O yield). The ratio of the overall rate constant of the CD(4) reaction to the overall rate constant of the O((1)D) + N(2)O reaction was determined to be 1.2(5) +/- 0.1. A measurement of the reaction of O((1)D) with NO(2) gave 1.3 x 10(-10) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) relative to the literature values for the rate constants of O((1)D) with H(2) and CH(4). Hot atom effects in O((1)D) reactions were observed.  相似文献

Fluorescence-dip infrared spectroscopy, an UV-IR double-resonance technique, is employed to characterize the line positions, linewidths, and corresponding lifetimes of highly predissociative rovibrational levels of the excited A (2)Sigma(+) electronic state of the OH radical. Various lines of the 4 <--2 overtone transition in the excited A (2)Sigma(+) state are observed, from which the rotational, centrifugal distortion, and spin-rotation constants for the A (2)Sigma(+) (v = 4) state are determined, along with the vibrational frequency for the overtone transition. Homogeneous linewidths of 0.23-0.31 cm(-1) full width at half maximum are extracted from the line profiles, demonstrating that the N = 0 to 7 rotational levels of the OH A (2)Sigma(+) (v = 4) state undergo rapid predissociation with lifetimes of < or =23 ps. The experimental linewidths are in near quantitative agreement with first-principles theoretical predictions.  相似文献
