In this paper, an optimal resource allocation strategy is proposed to enhance traffic dynamics in complex networks. The network resources are the total node packet-delivering capacity and the total link bandwidth. An analytical method is developed to estimate the overall network capacity by using the concept of efficient betweenness (ratio of algorithmic betweenness and local processing capacity). Three network structures (scale-free, small-world, and random networks) and two typical routing protocols (shortest path protocol and efficient routing protocol) are adopted to demonstrate the performance of the proposed strategy. Our results show that the network capacity is reversely proportional to the average path length for a particular routing protocol and the shortest path protocol can achieve the largest network capacity when the proposed resource allocation strategy is adopted.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose an efficient strategy to enhance traffic capacity via the process of nodes and links increment. We show that by adding shortcut links to the existing networks, packets are avoided flowing through hub nodes. We investigate the performances of our proposed strategy under the shortest path routing strategy and the local routing strategy. Our obtained results show that using the proposed strategy, the traffic capacity can be effectively enhanced under the shortest path routing strategy. Under the local routing strategy, the obtained results show that the proposed strategy is efficient only when packets are more likely to be forwarded to low-degree nodes in their routing paths. Compared with other strategies, the obtained results indicate that our proposed strategy of adding nodes and links is the most effective in enhancing the traffic capacity, i.e., the traffic capacity can be maximally enhanced with the least number of additional nodes and links.  相似文献

现有研究表明明显的社团结构会显著降低网络的传输性能. 本文基于网络邻接矩阵的特征谱定义了链路对网络社团特性的贡献度, 提出一种通过逻辑关闭或删除对网络社团特性贡献度大的链路以提高网络传输性能的拓扑管理策略, 即社团弱化控制策略(CWCS 策略). 在具有社团结构的无标度网络上分别进行了基于全局最短路径路由和局部路由的仿真实验, 并与关闭连接度大的节点之间链路的HDF 策略进行了比较. 仿真实验结果显示, 在全局最短路径路由策略下, CWCS策略能更有效地提高网络负载容量, 并且网络的平均传输时间增加的幅度变小. 在局部路由策略下, 当调控参数0<α<2, 对网络负载容量的提升优于HDF策略. 关键词: 复杂网络 社团特性 负载容量 拓扑管理  相似文献

By incorporating local traffic information into the shortest path routing strategy, we numerically investigate the effectiveness of the traffic awareness routing strategy for scale-free networks with different clustering. In order to characterize the efficiency of the packet-delivery process, we introduce an order parameter and an average transmission time that allow us to measure the network capacity by the critical value of phase transition from free flow to congestion. Compared with the shortest path routing protocol, the network capacity is greatly enhanced by the traffic awareness routing strategy. We also find that there exists an optimum value for the tunable parameter in the congestion awareness strategy. Moreover, simulation results show that the more clustered the network, the less efficient the packet-delivery process.  相似文献

Traffic capacity of one network strongly depends on the link’s bandwidth allocation strategy. In previous bandwidth allocation mechanisms, once one link’s bandwidth is allocated, it will be fixed throughout the overall traffic transmission process. However, the traffic load of every link changes from time to time. In this paper, with finite total bandwidth resource of the network, we propose to dynamically allocate the total bandwidth resource in which each link’s bandwidth is proportional to the queue length of the output buffer of the link per time step. With plenty of data packets in the network, the traffic handling ability of all links of the network achieves full utilization. The theoretical analysis and the extensive simulation results on complex networks are consistent. This work is valuable for network service providers to improve network performance or to do reasonable network design efficiently.  相似文献

The community structure has been empirically found in many real networks. This paper proposes an efficient Double Shortest Path routing strategy trying to avoid the modules of traffic congestion, which means that we adopt the shortest routing strategy both in the inter-modules and in the intra-module. Simulations show that this routing algorithm is superior to the traditional shortest path routing protocol with appropriate selection of the tunable parameters. In addition, this algorithm can also be improved by integrating it with several alternative routing strategies.  相似文献

We propose a limited packet-delivering capacity model for traffic dynamics in scale-free networks. In this model, the total node’s packet-delivering capacity is fixed, and the allocation of packet-delivering capacity on node i is proportional to , where ki is the degree of node i and ? is a adjustable parameter. We have applied this model on the shortest path routing strategy as well as the local routing strategy, and found that there exists an optimal value of parameter ? leading to the maximal network capacity under both routing strategies. In this paper, we propose an integrated routing strategy based on global static topologyinformation and local dynamic data packet queue lengths to improve the transmissionefficiency of scale-free networks. The proposed routing strategy is a combination of aglobal static routing strategy (based on the shortest path algorithm) and local dynamicqueue length management, in which, instead of using an infinite buffer, the queue lengthof each node i in the proposed routing strategy is limited by acritical queue length Qic. When the networktraffic is lower and the queue length of each node i is shorter than itscritical queue length Qic, it forwardspackets according to the global routing table. With increasing network traffic, when thebuffers of the nodes with higher degree are full, they do not receive packets due to theirlimited buffers and the packets have to be delivered to the nodes with lower degree. Theglobal static routing strategy can shorten the transmission time that it takes a packet toreach its destination, and the local limited queue length can balance the network traffic.The optimal critical queue lengths of nodes have been analysed. Simulation results showthat the proposed routing strategy can get better performance than that of the globalstatic strategy based on topology, and almost the same performance as that of the globaldynamic routing strategy with less complexity.  相似文献

This study proposes a probability routing strategy for improving traffic capability on scale-free networks. Compared with the shortest path routing strategy depending on central nodes largely and the efficient routing strategy avoiding hub routers as much as possible, the probability routing strategy makes use of hub routers more efficiently, transferring approximate average amount of packs of the whole network. Simulation results indicate that the probability routing strategy has the highest network capacity among the three routing strategies. This strategy provides network capacity that can be more than 30 times higher than that of the shortest path routing strategy and over 50% higher than that of the efficient routing strategy. In addition, the average routing path length of our proposed strategy is over 10% shorter than that of the efficient routing strategy and only about 10% longer than that of the shortest path routing strategy.  相似文献

The most important function of a network is for transporting traffic. Due to the low traffic capacity of network systems under the global shortest path routing, plenty of heuristic routing strategies are emerging. In this paper, we propose a heuristic routing strategy called the incremental routing algorithm to improve the traffic capacity of complex networks. We divide the routing process into NN(the network size) steps and, at each step, we heuristically calculate all the routes for one source node considering both the dynamic efficient betweenness centrality and node degree information. We do extensive simulations on scale-free networks to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed incremental routing strategy. The simulation results show that the traffic capacity has been enhanced by a substantial factor at the expense of a slight lengthening in the average path.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the information traffic flow in communication networks with scale-free topology. We consider the situation arising when packets are delivered to non-homogeneously selected destinations. It is found that the network capacity Rc increases with the increase of 〈k〉 (average degree of destination nodes) under local routing strategy. In contrast, Rc is essentially independent of 〈k〉 under shortest path strategy. Based on this finding, an integrated routing strategy that can enhance network capacity is proposed by combining the two strategies.  相似文献

研究了带有连接边传输容量(带宽)约束的复杂网络上如何提升网络数据流负载问题. 在网络连接边带宽资源总量固定的条件下, 提出了一种异质化带宽分配方案. 引入 "受控边" 概念, 通过加入适当比例的 "受控边", 重新分配带宽资源, 并结合具有拥塞感知能力路由策略的数据流量模型, 利用带宽分配调节数据流量走向, 提高了带宽利用效率, 最终使得网络整体的负载能力较带宽匀质化分配时有显著提升. 分别在Barabási-Albert无标度网络和Watts-Strogtz (WS)小世界网络平台上仿真, 发现按照本文的带宽分配方案, WS小世界网络中节点连接边带宽与网络负载有较强的相关性, 节点连接边带宽分配最均衡的时候, 网络负载能力达到最大. 关键词: 异质化带宽分配 负载 介数 受控边  相似文献

研究表明网络社团结构特征对负载传输有影响,明显社团结构特征会降低网络的承载能力.由于最短路由策略在选择路由时有一定的随机性,本文提出了一种基于社团结构的负载传输策略,减少最短路由经过的社团数量,从而降低社团边缘节点的介数.实验结果显示,该策略在保证最短路由小世界特性的同时,提升了网络的承载能力,社团划分得越准确传输优化策略效果越显著. 关键词: 优化路由策略 社团结构 复杂网络 负载传输  相似文献

This paper presents a new routing strategy by introducing a tunable parameter into the minimum information path routing strategy we proposed previously.It is found that network transmission capacity can be considerably enhanced by adjusting the parameter with various allocations of node capability for packet delivery.Moreover,the proposed routing strategy provides a traffic load distribution which can better match the allocation of node capability than that of traditional efficient routing strategies,leading to a network with improved transmission performance.This routing strategy,without deviating from the shortest-path routing strategy in the length of paths too much,produces improved performance indexes such as critical generating rate,average length of paths and average search information.  相似文献

In modern cooperative wireless networks, the resource allocation is an issue of major significance. The cooperation of source and relay nodes in wireless networks towards improved performance and robustness requires the application of an efficient bandwidth sharing policy. Moreover, user requirements for multimedia content over wireless links necessitate the support of advanced Quality of Service (QoS) features. In this paper, a novel bandwidth allocation technique for cooperative wireless networks is proposed, which is able to satisfy the increased QoS requirements of network users taking into account both traffic priority and packet buffer load. The performance of the proposed scheme is examined by analyzing the impact of buffer load on bandwidth allocation. Moreover, fairness performance in resource sharing is also studied. The results obtained for the cooperative network scenario employed, are validated by simulations. Evidently, the improved performance achieved by the proposed technique indicates that it can be employed for efficient traffic differentiation. The flexible design architecture of the proposed technique indicates its capability to be integrated into Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols for cooperative wireless networks.  相似文献

在对随机行走过程的研究中发现:单个粒子通过某条特定路径的时间正比于该路径上所有节点度的连乘积.据此,文章提出基于随机行走机理的优化路由改进策略.该策略以节点度连乘积最小化为原则,通过调节可变参数,建立节点处理能力均匀分布的情况下最佳路由策略.通过分析比较不同路由策略条件下平均路由介数中心度,网络的临界负载量,平均路径长度以及平均搜索信息量等性能指标,研究结果表明,此改进路由策略在保证网络平均路径长度较少增加的前提下,使网络的传输能力获得最大幅度的提升. 关键词: 复杂网络 路由策略 负载传输  相似文献

We present a comparative study of the application of a recently introduced heuristic algorithm to the optimization of transport on three major types of complex networks. The algorithm balances network traffic iteratively by minimizing the maximum node betweenness with as little path lengthening as possible. We show that by using this optimal routing, a network can sustain significantly higher traffic without jamming than in the case of shortest path routing. A formula is proved and tested with numerical simulation that allows quick computation of the average number of hops along the path and of the average travel times once the betweennesses of the nodes are computed. Using this formula, we show that routing optimization preserves the small-world character exhibited by networks under shortest path routing, and that it significantly reduces the average travel time on congested networks with only a negligible increase in the average travel time at low loads. Finally, we study the correlation between the weights of the links in the case of optimal routing and the betweennesses of the nodes connected by them.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the optimization of network traffic by considering the effects of node buffer ability and capacity. Two node buffer settings are considered. The node capacity is considered to be proportional to its buffer ability. The node effects on network traffic systems are studied with the shortest path protocol and an extension of the optimal routing [Phys. Rev. E 74 046106 (2006)]. In the diagrams of flux-density relationships, it is shown that a nodes buffer ability and capacity have profound effects on the network traffic.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new routing strategy based on the minimum information path, named the optimal routing (OR) strategy, to improve the transportation capacity of scale-free networks. We define the average routing centrality degree of the node to analyze the traffic load on nodes of different degree. We analyze the transportation capacity by using the critical values of Rc, the average packet travel time, and the average path length. Both theoretical and experimental results show that the capacity of the network under our strategy will be maximized when the packet-delivery rate of the node is directly proportional to the degree.  相似文献

提出了一种能够显著提高无标度复杂网络负载传输性能的优化路由策略.实现了负载在核心节点与边缘节点间的合理分配.分析表明该策略使得网络的负载处理能力正比于网络规模的平方,而与单个节点的度值无关.实验结果显示优化路由策略在保持了最短路由策略小世界效应的同时,成倍地提升了网络的负载传输能力,且随着网络平均节点度的增加其优势越趋显著.此外,与有效路由策略的比较进一步验证了优化路由策略的优异性能. 关键词: 优化路由策略 复杂网络 负载传输 网络阻塞  相似文献
