An immediate generalization of the classical McKay correspondence for Gorenstein quotient spaces ? r /G in dimensions r ≥ 4 would primarily demand the existence of projective, crepant, full desingularizations. Since this is not always possible, it is natural to ask about special classes of such quotient spaces which would satisfy the above property. In this paper we give explicit necessary and sufficient conditions under which 2-parameter series of Gorenstein cyclic quotient singularities have torus-equivariant resolutions of this specific sort in all dimensions.  相似文献

Graded isolated singularities appear very naturally in algebraic pro-jcctive geometry (cf. [18]) or invariant theory of the binary polyhedral groups (cf. [15], [17]). We define mock finitely generated modules in the category of graded modules and we use such graded modules which are also Gorenstein injective (cf. [1], [2]) in this category to characterize graded isolated Gorenstein singularities.  相似文献

We prove there is an equivalence of derived categories between Orlov's triangulated category of singularities for a Gorenstein cyclic quotient singularity and the derived category of representations of a quiver with relations, which is obtained from a McKay quiver by removing one vertex and half of the arrows. This result produces examples of distinct quivers with relations which have equivalent derived categories of representations.

We first generalize classical Auslander–Reiten duality for isolated singularities to cover singularities with a one-dimensional singular locus. We then define the notion of CT modules for non-isolated singularities and we show that these are intimately related to noncommutative crepant resolutions (NCCRs). When R has isolated singularities, CT modules recover the classical notion of cluster tilting modules but in general the two concepts differ. Then, wanting to generalize the notion of NCCRs to cover partial resolutions of \(\operatorname{Spec}R\) , in the main body of this paper we introduce a theory of modifying and maximal modifying modules. Under mild assumptions all the corresponding endomorphism algebras of the maximal modifying modules for three-dimensional Gorenstein rings are shown to be derived equivalent. We then develop a theory of mutation for modifying modules which is similar but different to mutations arising in cluster tilting theory. Our mutation works in arbitrary dimension, and in dimension three the behavior of our mutation strongly depends on whether a certain factor algebra is artinian.  相似文献

We give upper bounds for the absolute value of exponential sums in several variables attached to certain polynomials with coefficients in a finite field. This bounds are given in terms of invariants of the singularities of the projective hypersurface defined by its highest degree form. For exponential sums attached to the reduction modulo a power of a large prime of a polynomial f with integer coefficients and veryfying a certain condition on the singularities of its highest degree form, we give a bound in terms of the dimension of the Jacobian quotient . We use classical invariant theory to construct invariants of complex graded Gorenstein algebras of finite vector space dimension. As a consequence, we obtain a way of extracting certain numerical invariants of quasi-homogeneous isolated hypersurface singularities from their moduli algebras, which extends an earlier result due to the first author. Furthermore, we conjecture that the invariants so constructed solve the biholomorphic equivalence problem in the homogeneous case. The conjecture is easily verified for binary quartics and ternary cubics. We show that it also holds for binary quintics and sextics. In the latter cases the proofs are much more involved. In particular, we provide a complete list of canonical forms of binary sextics, which is a result of independent interest.  相似文献

Using non-Archimedian integration over spaces of arcs of algebraic varieties, we define stringy Euler numbers associated with arbitrary Kawamata log-terminal pairs. There is a natural Kawamata log-terminal pair corresponding to an algebraic variety V having a regular action of a finite group G. In this situation we show that the stringy Euler number of this pair coincides with the physicists’ orbifold Euler number defined by the Dixon-Harvey-Vafa-Witten formula. As an application, we prove a conjecture of Miles Reid on the Euler numbers of crepant desingularizations of Gorenstein quotient singularities. Received March 19, 1998  相似文献

Using new number-theoretic bounds on the denominators of unit fractions summing up to one, we show that in any dimension d ≥ 4 there is only one d-dimensional reflexive simplex having maximal volume. Moreover, only these reflexive simplices can admit an edge that has the maximal number of lattice points possible for an edge of a reflexive simplex. In general, these simplices are also expected to contain the largest number of lattice points even among all lattice polytopes with only one interior lattice point. Translated in algebro-geometric language, our main theorem yields a sharp upper bound on the anticanonical degree of d-dimensional Q-factorial Gorenstein toric Fano varieties with Picard number one, e.g., of weighted projective spaces with Gorenstein singularities.  相似文献

We discuss the conjecture asserting that isolated equilibrium states of autonomous systems admitting invariant measures are unstable in spaces of odd dimension. Well-rounded lattices have been considered in coding theory, in approaches to MIMO, and SISO wiretap channels. Algebraic lattices have been used to obtain dense lattices and in applications to Rayleigh fading channels. Recent works study the relation between well-rounded lattices and algebraic lattices, mainly in dimension two. In this article we present a construction of well-rounded algebraic lattices in Euclidean spaces of odd prime dimension. We prove that for each Abelian number field of odd prime degree having squarefree conductor, there exists a $${\mathbb {Z}}$$ -module M such that the canonical embedding applied to M produces a well-rounded lattice. It is also shown that for each odd prime dimension there are infinitely many non-equivalent well-rounded algebraic lattices, with high indexes as sublattices of other algebraic lattices.  相似文献

A general framework for cluster tilting is set up by showing that any quotient of a triangulated category modulo a tilting subcategory (i.e., a maximal 1-orthogonal subcategory) carries an induced abelian structure.
