Let L be a relatively free nilpotent Lie algebra over ? of rank n and class c, with n ≥ 2; freely generated by a set 𝒵. Give L the structure of a group, denoted by R, by means of the Baker–Campbell–Hausdorff formula. Let G be the subgroup of R generated by the set 𝒵 and N Aut(L)(G) the normalizer in Aut(L) of the set G. We prove that the automorphism group of L is generated by GL n (?) and N Aut(L)(G). Let H be a subgroup of finite index in Aut(G) generated by the tame automorphisms and a finite subset X of IA-automorphisms with cardinal s. We construct a set Y consisting of s + 1 IA-automorphisms of L such that Aut(L) is generated by GL n (?) and Y. We apply this particular method to construct generating sets for the automorphism groups of certain relatively free nilpotent Lie algebras.  相似文献

We consider the natural Lie algebra structure on the (associative) group algebra of a finite group G, and show that the Lie subalgebras associated to natural involutive antiautomorphisms of this group algebra are reductive ones. We give a decomposition in simple factors of these Lie algebras, in terms of the ordinary representations of G.  相似文献

Let L(V) be the free Lie algebra on a finite-dimensional vectorspace V over a field K, with homogeneous components Ln(V) forn 1. If G is a group and V is a KG-module, the action of Gextends naturally to L(V), and the Ln(V) become finite-dimensionalKG-modules, called the Lie powers of V. In the decompositionproblem, the aim is to identify the isomorphism types of indecomposableKG-modules, with their multiplicities, in unrefinable directdecompositions of the Lie powers. This paper is concerned withthe case where G has prime order p, and K has characteristicp. As is well known, there are p indecomposables, denoted hereby J1,...,Jp, where Jr has dimension r. A theory is developedwhich provides information about the overall module structureof LV) and gives a recursive method for finding the multiplicitiesof J1,...,Jp in the Lie powers Ln(V). For example, the theoryyields decompositions of L(V) as a direct sum of modules isomorphiceither to J1 or to an infinite sum of the form Jr J{p-1} J{p-1} ... with r 2. Closed formulae are obtained for the multiplicitiesof J1,..., Jp in Ln(Jp and Ln(J{p-1). ABSTRACT

Let F m (N) be the free left nilpotent (of class two) Leibniz algebra of finite rank m, with m ≥ 2. We show that F m (N) has non-tame automorphisms and, for m ≥ 3, the automorphism group of F m (N) is generated by the tame automorphisms and one more non-tame IA-automorphism. Let F(N) be the free left nilpotent Leibniz algebra of rank greater than 1 and let G be an arbitrary non-trivial finite subgroup of the automorphism group of F(N). We prove that the fixed point subalgebra F(N) G is not finitely generated.  相似文献

We obtain the functions that bound the dimensions of finite dimensional nilpotent associative or Lie algebras of class 2 over an algebraically closed field in terms of the dimensions of their commutative subalgebras. The paper studies the existence of closed invariant subspaces for a Lie algebra L of bounded operators on an infinite-dimensional Banach space X. It is assumed that L contains a Lie subalgebra L0 that has a non-trivial closed invariant subspace in X of finite codimension or dimension. It is proved that L itself has a non-trivial closed invariant subspace in the following two cases: (1) L0 has finite codimension in L and there are Lie subalgebras L0=L0L1⊂?⊂Lp=L such that Li+1=Li+[Li,Li+1] for all i; (2) L0 is a Lie ideal of L and dim(L0)=∞. These results are applied to the problem of the existence of non-trivial closed Lie ideals and closed characteristic Lie ideals in an infinite-dimensional Banach Lie algebra L that contains a non-trivial closed Lie subalgebra of finite codimension.  相似文献

A group-theoretic framework is presented for acceleration transformations. The main purpose is to show the existence of families of spatio-temporal continuous wavelets, frames, and discrete wavelets related to these transformations. The main application of interest is the analysis of motion in space–time signals. The construction of this framework starts with the enumeration of Lie algebras as building blocks that provide all the observable kinematics that comply with the properties of the space–time under analysis. These classes of accelerated kinematics generalize the kinematics defined in the Galilei group. Exponentiation from Lie algebras defines locally compact exponential groups. Unitary, irreducible, and square-integrable group representations are thereafter derived in the function spaces and the signals to be analyzed, leading to the existence of continuous and discrete wavelets, frames all indexed with higher orders of temporal derivatives of the translational motion. Group representations and wavelets are tools that perform the local optimum estimation of pieces of trajectory. The adjunction of a variational principle of optimality is further necessary for building a global trajectory and for performing tracking. The Euler–Lagrange equation provides the motion equation of the moving system and the Noether's theorem derives the related constants of motion. Dynamic programming implements the algorithms for tracking and constructing the global trajectory. Finally, tight frames and bases enable signal decompositions along the trajectory of interest.  相似文献

We show that the kernel of an irreducible unitary representation π of the group algebra L1(G) of a completely solvable Lie group G is given by the functions, whose abelian Fourier transform vanish on the Kirillov orbit Oπ of π if and only if this orbit Oπ is flat. This is a generalization of a result obtained before for nilpotent Lie groups.  相似文献
