We introduce and study a Hopf algebra containing the descent algebra as a sub-Hopf-algebra. It has the main algebraic properties of the descent algebra, and more: it is a sub-Hopf-algebra of the direct sum of the symmetric group algebras; it is closed under the corresponding inner product; it is cocommutative, so it is an enveloping algebra; it contains all Lie idempotents of the symmetric group algebras. Moreover, its primitive elements are exactly the Lie elements which lie in the symmetric group algebras.  相似文献

In this article, the notion of universal enveloping algebra introduced in Ardizzoni [4 Ardizzoni , A. On primitively generated braided bialgebras . Algebr. Represent. Theory , to appear. (doi:10.1007/s10468-010-9257-z)  [Google Scholar]] is specialized to the case of braided vector spaces whose Nichols algebra is quadratic as an algebra. In this setting, a classification of universal enveloping algebras for braided vector spaces of dimension not greater than 2 is handled. As an application, we investigate the structure of primitively generated connected braided bialgebras whose braided vector space of primitive elements forms a Nichols algebra, which is a quadratic algebra.  相似文献

A two-parameter quantum group is obtained from the usual enveloping algebra by adding two commutative grouplike elements. In this paper, we generalize this procession further by adding commutative grouplike elements b_(ik), c_(ik), g_(ik), h_(ik)(i ∈I, k = 1,..., mi) of a Hopf algebra H to the quantized enveloping algebra U_q(G) of a Borcherds superalgebra G defined by a symmetrizable integral Borcherds–Cartan matrix A =(aij)i,j∈I. Therefore, we define an extended Hopf superalgebra HU_q(G). We also discuss the basis and the grouplike elements of HU_q(G).  相似文献

We compute the derivations of the positive part of the two-parameter quantum group U_(r,s)(B_3) and show that the Hochschild cohomology group of degree 1 of this algebra is a threedimensional vector space over the base field C. We investigate the nilpotence of a Malcev algebra M and of its standard enveloping Lie algebra L(M)=M D(M, M). The main result shows that an ideal A of M is nilpotent in M if and only if the corresponding ideal Ⅰ(A) = A D(A, M)is nilpotent in L(M).  相似文献

The notion of a hypoderivation of binary-ternary algebras is introduced. A hypoderivation is a generalization both of a derivation and a pseudoderivation of such algebras. From the external direct sum of a hyporeductive triple algebra (h.t.a.) with the vector space of pairs constituted by hypoderivations and their companions, a Lie algebra with a hyporeductive decomposition (and accordingly a hyporeductive pair) enveloping the given h.t.a. is constructed. A nontrivial 3-dimensional Lie algebra with hyporeductive decomposition is presented. Examples of h.t.a. are also given.  相似文献

This article presents a natural extension of the tensor algebra. In addition to “left multiplications” by vectors, we can consider “derivations” by covectors as basic operators on this extended algebra. These two types of operators satisfy an analogue of the canonical commutation relations. This algebra and these operators have the following applications: (i) applications to invariant theory related to tensor products and (ii) applications to immanants. The latter includes a new method to study the quantum immanants in the universal enveloping algebras of the general linear Lie algebras and their Capelli type identities (the higher Capelli identities).  相似文献

We study Lie nilpotent varieties of associative algebras. We explicitly compute the codimension growth for the variety of strong Lie nilpotent associative algebras. The codimension growth is polynomial and found in terms of Stirling numbers of the first kind. To achieve the result we take the free Lie algebra of countable rank L(X), consider its filtration by the lower central series and shift it. Next we apply generating functions of special type to the induced filtration of the universal enveloping algebra U(L(X)) = A(X).  相似文献

To study AS-regular algebras of dimension 5, we consider dimension 5 graded iterated Ore extensions generated in degree one. We classify the possible degrees of relations and structure of the free resolution for extensions with 3 and 4 generators. We show that every known type of algebra of dimension 5 can be realized by an Ore extension and we consider which of these types cannot be realized by an enveloping algebra.  相似文献

We first show that increasing trees are in bijection with set compositions, extending simultaneously a recent result on trees due to Tonks and a classical result on increasing binary trees. We then consider algebraic structures on the linear span of set compositions (the twisted descent algebra). Among others, a number of enveloping algebra structures are introduced and studied in detail. For example, it is shown that the linear span of trees carries an enveloping algebra structure and embeds as such in an enveloping algebra of increasing trees. All our constructions arise naturally from the general theory of twisted Hopf algebras.  相似文献

Let L be a Lie algebra with universal enveloping algebra U(L). We prove that if H is another Lie algebra with the property that U(L) ≅ U(H) then certain invariants of L are inherited by H. For example, we prove that if L is nilpotent then H is nilpotent with the same class as L. We also prove that if L is nilpotent of class at most two then L is isomorphic to H. Presented by D. Let g be a semisimple or affine Lie algebra and U q (g) its quantized enveloping algebra. Extending earlier work, the KPRV determinant for an admissible integrable U q (g) module V relative to a parabolic subalgebra pg is defined and shown to be nonzero. These determinants had previously been evaluated for g semisimple and p a Borel subalgebra. The present results can be used to extend this to g affine as will be shown in a subsequent publication.For a parabolic subalgebra the evaluation of these determinants is much more difficult. For appropriate overalgebras of the primitive quotients of the enveloping algebra U(g) defined by one-dimensional representations of p, these determinants had been calculated for g semisimple. However the quantum case is interesting because it is unnecessary to pass to overalgebras and besides for U(g):g affine, it is not even clear how these determinants should be defined. Here for g semisimple, the degrees of the determinants are computed and shown to depend on being the same type of functions as in the enveloping algebra case; yet in a different fashion. Some special cases (in type A 4) are computed explicity. Here, as in the Borel case, the determinants take a remarkably simple form and notably can be expressed as a product of linear factors. However compared to the enveloping algebra case one finds additional factors corresponding to what are called quantum zeros and whose origin remains unknown.  相似文献

Let U(g)U(g) be the enveloping algebra of a finite dimensional reductive Lie algebra gg over an algebraically closed field of prime characteristic. Let U?,P(s:)U?,P(s:) be the simply connected quantum enveloping algebra at the root of unity ?  , of a complex semi-simple finite dimensional Lie algebra s:s:. We show, by similar proofs, that the centers of both are factorial. While the first result was established by R. Tange [32] (by different methods), the second one confirms a conjecture in [4]. We also provide a general criterion for the factoriality of the centers of enveloping algebras in prime characteristic.  相似文献

In this paper, we study A/k-bialgebras in prime characteristic. Firstly, we prove a Cartier type structure theorem for cocomplete A/k-bialgebras. Secondly, we generalize Michaelis’s theorem. In particular, we prove that a restricted (k, K)-Lie algebra is proper if and only if its restricted enveloping algebra is proper.  相似文献

In this paper we give a sufficient condition for a restricted enveloping algebra to be quasi-elementary. We also prove that every finite dimensional -nilpotent Lie algebra can be embedded in a finite dimensional -nilpotent quasi-elementary Lie algebra.
