Starting from a representation of the restricted Poincaré group ζ on a Hilbert space χ and from arbitrary bounded Poincaré invariant operators X+ and X? we describe a method for the construction of bounded operators X whose time evolutions eitH Xe?itH tend “very fast” to the given operators X+ and X? as t goes to + ∞ and - ∞, respectively. Additionally these operators X (interpolating asymptotic constants) are Lorentz (or Euclidean) invariant and satisfy a certain boundedness condition with respect to H.  相似文献

We give a sufficient condition for the validity of the implication limn→∞ Tnx=0⇒∑n=0Tnxconverges, whereT:XXis a bounded linear operator,Xis a Banach space, andxX. From this condition we derive the results given by other authors. Moreover, we give some properties about the operators that verifies the above implication, which are called Neumann operators.  相似文献

A symmetric operator X^ is attached to each operator X that leaves the domain of a given positive operator A invariant and makes the product AX symmetric. Some spectral properties of X^ are derived from those of X and, as a consequence, various conditions ensuring positivity of products of the form AX 1 ... X n are proved. The question of ^-complete positivity of the mapping pAp(X 1,...,X n) defined on complex polynomials in n variables is investigated. It is shown that the set ω is related to the McIntosh-Pryde joint spectrum of (X 1,...,X n) in case all the operators A, X 1,...,X n are bounded. Examples illustrating the theme of the paper are included. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Analogous to the concept of a free object on a setX in a variety of algebras is the notion of a bifree object onX in an e-variety of regular semigroups. If an e-variety contains a bifree object onX, then a homomorphic image of that bifree object is itself bifree onX in some e-variety if and only if the corresponding congruence is fully invariant. Furthermore, the lattice of e-subvarieties of any locally inverse or E-solid e-variety ε is antiisomorphic with the lattice of all fully invariant congruences on the bifree object on a countably infinite setX in ε. We give a Birkhoff-type theorem for classes of locally inverse or E-solid semigroups, and we give an intrinsic test for whether or not a regular semigroup is bifree onX in the e-variety it generates.  相似文献

In 2006, Sanwong and Sullivan described the maximal congruences on the semigroup N consisting of all non-negative integers under standard multiplication, and on the semigroup T(X) consisting of all total transformations of an infinite set X under composition. Here, we determine all maximal congruences on the semigroup Zn under multiplication modulo n. And, when Y lohtain in X, we do the same for the semigroup T(X, Y) consisting of all elements of T(X) whose range is contained in Y. We also characterise the minimal congruences on T(X. Y).  相似文献

We deal with languages that are classes of fully invariant congruences on free semigroups of finite rank. The question is posed as to whether a given fully invariant congruence coincides with a syntactic congruence of the language in question. If all classes of a given fully invariant congruence are rational languages, the corresponding variety is then said to be rational. A number of properties of rational varieties is established—in particular, we point to the way in which they are related to finite varieties. It is shown that if X1, X2, …, Xn are symmetric random variables and max(X1, …, Xn)+ = max(0, X1, …, Xn), then E[max(X1,…,Xn)+]=[max(X1,X1,+X2,+X1,+X3,…X1,+Xn)+], and in the case of independent identically distributed symmetric random variables, E[max(X1, X2)+] = E[(X1)+] + (1/2)E[(X1 + X2)+], so that for independent standard normal random variables, E[max(X1, X2)+] = (1/√2π)[1 + (1/√2)].  相似文献

Given a connected spaceX, we consider the effect of Quillen’s plus construction on the homotopy groups ofX in terms of its Postnikov decomposition. Specifically, using universal properties of the fibration sequenceAX→X→X +, we explain the contribution of π n X to π n X +, π n+1 X + and π n AX, π n+1 AX explicitly in terms of the low dimensional homology of π n X regarded as a module over π1 X. Key ingredients developed here for this purpose are universal II-central fibrations and a theory of universal central extensions of modules, analogous to universal central extensions of perfect groups. The constant mappings onto the unit form a zero subcategory of any category of monoid homomorphisms; a varietyV of monoids isalmost universal if every category of algebras is isomorphic to a class of all nonzero homomorphisms between members ofV. Almost universal monoid varieties are shown to be exactly those varieties containing all commutative monoids in which the identity xnyn=(xy)n fails for every n>1. Almost universal varieties of monoids can also be characterized categorically as the varieties containing all groups with zero as one-object full subcategories.Presented by B. M. Let {X n ;n≥1} be a sequence of i.i.d. random variables and let X (r) n = X j if |X j | is the r-th maximum of |X 1|, ..., |X n |. Let S n = X 1+⋯+X n and (r) S n = S n −(X (1) n +⋯+X (r) n ). Sufficient and necessary conditions for (r) S n approximating to sums of independent normal random variables are obtained. Via approximation results, the convergence rates of the strong law of large numbers for (r) S n are studied. Received March 22, 1999, Revised November 6, 2000, Accepted March 16, 2001  相似文献

We will show that the factorization condition for the Fourier integral operators Ir m (X,Y;L )I_\rho ^\mu (X,Y;\it\Lambda ) leads to a parametrized parabolic Monge-Ampère equation. For an analytic operator, the fibration by the kernels of the Hessian of phase function is shown to be analytic in a number of cases, by considering a more general continuation problem for the level sets of a holomorphic mapping. The results are applied to obtain Lp-continuity for translation invariant operators in \Bbb Rn{\Bbb R}^n with n £ 4n\leq 4 and for arbitrary \Bbb Rn{\Bbb R}^n with dpX×Y|Ln+2d\pi _{X\times Y}|_\Lambda \leq n+2.  相似文献

This paper provides universal upper bounds for the exponent of the kernel and of the cokernel of the classical Boardman homomorphism b n : π n (X)→H n (H;ℤ), from the cohomotopy groups to the ordinary integral cohomology groups of a spectrum X, and of its various generalizations π n (X)→E n (X), F n (X)→(EF) n (X), F n (X)→H n (X;π 0 F) and F n (X)→H n+t (X;π t F) for other cohomology theories E *(−) and F *(−). These upper bounds do not depend on X and are given in terms of the exponents of the stable homotopy groups of spheres and, for the last three homomorphisms, in terms of the order of the Postnikov invariants of the spectrum F.  相似文献

Consider the (n+1)st order nonhomogeneous recursionX k+n+1=b k X k+n +a k (n) X k+n-1+...+a k (1) X k +X k .Leth be a particular solution, andf (1),...,f (n),g independent solutions of the associated homogeneous equation. It is supposed thatg dominatesf (1),...,f (n) andh. If we want to calculate a solutiony which is dominated byg, but dominatesf (1),...,f (n), then forward and backward recursion are numerically unstable. A stable algorithm is derived if we use results constituting a link between Generalised Continued Fractions and Recursion Relations.  相似文献

The Danielewski hypersurfaces are the hypersurfaces X Q,n in \mathbbC3 {\mathbb{C}^3} defined by an equation of the form x n y = Q(x, z) where n ⩾ 1 and Q(x, z) is a polynomial such that Q(0, z) is of degree at least two. They were studied by many authors during the last twenty years. In the present article, we give their classification as algebraic varieties. We also give their classification up to automorphism of the ambient space. As a corollary, we obtain that every Danielewski hypersurface X Q,n with n ⩾ 2 admits at least two nonequivalent embeddings into \mathbbC3 {\mathbb{C}^3} .  相似文献

In this paper, we study the problem of a variety of p, onlinear time series model Xn+ 1= TZn+1(X(n), … ,X(n - Zn+l), en+1(Zn+1)) in which {Zn} is a Markov chain with finite state space, and for every state i of the Markov chain, {en(i)} is a sequence of independent and identically distributed random variables. Also, the limit behavior of the sequence {Xn} defined by the above model is investigated. Some new novel results on the underlying models are presented.  相似文献

LexX be a homogeneous polynomial vector field of degreen≥3 on S2 having finitely many invariant circles. Then, for such a vector fieldX we find upper bounds for the number of invariant circles, invariant great circles, invariant circles intersecting at a same point and parallel circles with the same director vector. We give examples of homogeneous polynomial vector fields of degree 3 on S2 having finitely many invariant circles which are not great circles, which are limit cycles, but are not great circles and invariant great circles that are limit cycles. Moreover, for the casen=3 we determine the maximum number of parallel invariant circles with the same director vector. The purpose of this paper is first to show that if X is any locally compact but not compact perfect Polish space and stands for the one-point compactification of X, while EX is the equivalence relation which is defined on the Polish group C(X,R+*) by where f, g are in C(X,R+*), then EX is induced by a turbulent Polish group action. Second we show that given any if we identify the n-dimensional unit sphere Sn with the one-point compactification of Rn via the stereographic projection, while En,r is the equivalence relation which is defined on the Polish group Cr(Rn,R+*) by where f, g are in Cr(Rn,R+*), then En,r is also induced by a turbulent Polish group action. On weak positive supercyclicity   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A bounded linear operator T on a separable complex Banach space X is called weakly supercyclic if there exists a vector xX such that the projective orbit {λT n x: n ∈ ℕ λ ∈ ℂ} is weakly dense in X. Among other results, it is proved that an operator T such that σ p (T *) = 0, is weakly supercyclic if and only if T is positive weakly supercyclic, that is, for every supercyclic vector xX, only considering the positive projective orbit: {rT n x: n ∈ ℂ, r ∈ ℝ+} we obtain a weakly dense subset in X. As a consequence it is established the existence of non-weakly supercyclic vectors (non-trivial) for positive operators defined on an infinite dimensional separable complex Banach space. Summary Let X be a stochastic process with sample paths in the usual Skorohod space D[0, 1]. For a sequence {X n} of independent copies of X, let S n=X1++Xn. Conditions which are either necessary or sufficient for the weak convergence of n –1/2(S n–ESn) to a Gaussian process with sample paths in D[0, 1] are discussed. Stochastically continuous processe are considered separately from those with fixed discontinuities. A bridge between the two is made by a Decomposition central limit theorem.  相似文献
