A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to have the semi cover-avoiding property in G if there is a normal series of G such that H covers or avoids every normal factor of the series. In this paper, some new results are obtained based on the assumption that some subgroups have the semi cover-avoiding property in the group.  相似文献

A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be c-supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup K of G such that G = HK and HK is contained in H G , where H G is the largest normal subgroup of G contained in H. In this article, we prove that G is solvable if every subgroup of prime odd order of G is c-supplemented in G. Moreover, we prove that G is solvable if and only if every Sylow subgroup of odd order of G is c-supplemented in G. These results improve and extend the classical results of Hall's articles of (1937) and the recent results of Ballester-Bolinches and Guo's article of (1999), Ballester-Bolinches et al.'s article of (2000), and Asaad and Ramadan's article of (2008).  相似文献

We call a subgroup A of a finite group G a solitary subgroup of G if G does not contain another isomorphic copy of A. We call a normal subgroup A of a finite group G a normal solitary subgroup of G if G does not contain another normal isomorphic copy of A. The property of being (normal) solitary can be viewed as a strengthening of the requirement that A is normal in G. We derive various results on the existence of (normal) solitary subgroups.  相似文献

A subgroup of a group G is said to be Sylow-quasinormal (S-quasinormal) in G if it permutes with every Sylow subgroup of G. A subgroup H of a group G is said to be Supplement-Sylow-quasinormal (SS-quasinormal) in G if there is a supplement B of H to G such that H is permutable with every Sylow subgroup of B. In this article, we investigate the influence of SS-quasinormal of maximal or minimal subgroups of Sylow subgroups of the generalized Fitting subgroup of a finite group.  相似文献

A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be “semi-cover-avoiding in G” if there is a chief series of G such that H covers or avoids every chief factor of the chief series. In this article, some new characterizations for finite solvable groups are obtained based on the assumption that some subgroups have semi-cover-avoiding properties in the groups.  相似文献

A subgroup H of a finite group G is called Hall normally embedded in G if H is a Hall subgroup of the normal closure H G . Groups which contain a Hall normally embedded subgroup of order d for every factor d of | G | are characterized. Such groups are supersolvable with a cyclic nilpotent residual of square-free order.  相似文献

We say that a subgroup H of a finite group G is solitary (respectively, normal solitary) when it is a subgroup (respectively, normal subgroup) of G such that no other subgroup (respectively, normal subgroup) of G is isomorphic to H. A normal subgroup N of a group G is said to be quotient solitary when no other normal subgroup K of G gives a quotient isomorphic to G/N. We show some new results about lattice properties of these subgroups and their relation with classes of groups and present examples showing a negative answer to some questions about these subgroups.  相似文献

In this paper, we characterize the nilpotency and supersolvability of a finite group G by assuming some subgroups of prime power order have the semi cover-avoiding property in G. Some earlier results are generalized.  相似文献

Suppose that G is a finite group and H is a subgroup of G. H is said to be S-quasinormal in G if it permutes with every Sylow subgroup of G; H is said to be S-quasinormally embedded in G if for each prime p dividing |H|, a Sylow p-subgroup of H is also a Sylow p-subgroup of some S-quasinormal subgroup of G. We investigate the influence of S-quasinormally embedded subgroups on the structure of finite groups. Some recent results are generalized.  相似文献

Abstract

A subgroup of a group G is said to be S-quasinormal in G if it permutes with every Sylow subgroup of G. A subgroup H of a group G is said to be S-quasinormally embedded in G if every Sylow subgroup of H is a Sylow subgroup of some S-quasinormal subgroup of G. In this paper we examine the structure of a finite group G under the assumption that certain abelian subgroups of prime power order are S-quasinormally embedded in G. Our results improve and extend recent results of Ramadan [Ramadan, M. (2001). The influence of S-quasinormality of some subgroups of prime power order on the structure of finite groups. Arch. Math. 77:143–148].  相似文献

Abstract

Neumann characterized the groups in which every subgroup has finitely many conjugates only as central-by-finite groups. If 𝔛 is a class of groups, a group G is said to have 𝔛-conjugate classes of subgroups if G/Core G (N G (H)) ∈ 𝔛 for every subgroup H of G. In this paper, we generalize Neumann's result by showing that a group has polycyclic-by-finite classes of conjugate subgroup if and only if it is central-by-(polycyclic-by-finite).  相似文献

We say that a subgroup H of a finite group G is nearly S-permutable in G if for every prime p such that (p, |H|) = 1 and for every subgroup K of G containing H the normalizer N K (H) contains some Sylow p-subgroup of K. We study the structure of G under the assumption that some subgroups of G are nearly S-permutable in G.  相似文献

Abstract

A subgroup H of G is said to be c-normal in G if there exists a normal subgroup N of G such that HN = G and H ∩ N ≤ H G  = Core(H). We extend the study on the structure of a finite group under the assumption that all maximal or minimal subgroups of the Sylow subgroups of the generalized Fitting subgroup of some normal subgroup of G are c-normal in G. The main theorems we proved in this paper are:

Theorem Let ? be a saturated formation containing 𝒰. Suppose that G is a group with a normal subgroup H such that G/H ∈ ?. If all maximal subgroups of any Sylow subgroup of F*(H) are c-normal in G, then G ∈ ?.

A finite group G is said to be a PST-group if every subnormal subgroup of G permutes with every Sylow subgroup of G. We shall discuss the normal structure of soluble PST-groups, mainly defining a local version of this concept. A deep study of the local structure turns out to be crucial for obtaining information about the global property. Moreover, a new approach to soluble PT-groups, i.e., soluble groups in which permutability is a transitive relation, follows naturally from our vision of PST-groups. Our techniques and results provide a unified point of view for T-groups, PT-groups, and PST-groups in the soluble universe, showing that the difference between these classes is quite simply their Sylow structure.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group and H ≤ G. The subgroup H is called: S-permutable in G if HP = PH for all Sylow subgroups P of G; S-permutably embedded in G if each Sylow subgroup of H is also a Sylow subgroup of some S-permutable subgroup of G.

Let H be a subgroup of a group G. Then we say that H is SQ-supplemented in G if G has a subgroup T and an S-permutably embedded subgroup C ≤ H such that HT = G and TH ≤ C.

We study the structure of G under the assumption that some subgroups of G are SQ-supplemented in G. Some known results are generalized.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. A subgroup H of a group G is said to be c-supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup K of G such that G = HK and H ∩ K ≤ H G , where H G  = Core G (H) is the largest normal subgroup of G contained in H. In this article, we investigate the structure of a finite group G under the assumption that subgroups of prime order are c-supplemented in G. Moreover, we analyze the structure of a group G when the minimal subgroups of the generalized Fitting subgroup F?(G) of G are c-supplemented in G through the theory of formations.  相似文献
