Formule de torsion pour le facteur epsilon d’un caractère sur une surface

Let be a smooth proper surface over a finite field of characteristic p > 2, and let be a rank one smooth l-adic sheaf (l ≠ p) on a dense open subset . In this paper, under some assumptions on the wild ramification of , we prove a torsion formula for the epsilon factor (that is the global constant) of the functional equation of the L-function . Our torsion formula is a generalization to higher dimension of the classical torsion formula for the local constants.

Résumé  Soit une surface propre et lisse sur un corps fini de caractéristique p > 2, et un caractère l-adique (avec l ≠ p) lisse sur un ouvert dense . Sous certaines hypothèses sur la ramification sauvage de , on prouve une formule de torsion pour le facteur epsilon (i.e. la constante globale) de l’équation fonctionnelle de la fonction . Notre formule de torsion est une généralisation en dimension supérieure de la formule de torsion pour les constantes locales, qui est à la base de la théorie des constantes locales.

     

Sur le critère de propagation de degré ℓ et d'ordre k

We determine the Boolean functions on GF(2)ⁿ which satisfy the propagation criterion of degree ℓ and order k ≥ n - ℓ - 2. All of theses functions are quadratic. We design nonquadratic Boolean functions satisfying the criterion PC(ℓ) of order k by using the Maiorana-McFarland construction involving nonlinear mappings derived from nonlinear codes.

Let σ be the automorphism of $\mathrm{Sp}(4\text{,}{2}^{2n+1})$ so that the set of fixed points is the Suzuki group. We propose in this Note to calculate the irreductible characters of $\mathrm{Sp}(4\text{,}{2}^{2n+1})?〈\sigma 〉$, extension of degree two of the symplectic group, and describe two consequences: first, the principal block of the Suzuki group and of this extension are perfectly isometric, and secondly we determine the eigenvalues of Frobenius of the unipotent characters of the Suzuki group. We study the relationship of backcrossing algebras with mutation algebras and algebras satisfying ω-polynomial identities: we show that in a backcrossing algebra every element of weight 1 generates a mutation algebra and that for any polynomial identity f there is a backcrossing algebra satisfying f. We give a criterion for the existence of idempotent in the case of baric algebras satisfying a nonhomogeneous polynomial identity and containing a backcrossing subalgebra. We give numerous genetic interpretations of the algebraic results.     

Sur le caractère entropique des schémas de relaxation appliqués à une équation d'état non classique

In this Note, we show that the relaxation scheme theory applied to a non-classical equation of state allows to build in a very easy way a family of entropic schemes. It is very easy to build this kind of scheme because there exists a kinetic model whose fluid limit gives this non-classical equation of state.
