In this paper we study finite dimensional algebras arising from categories of perverse sheaves on finite regular cell complexes (cellular perverse algebras). We prove that such algebras are quasi-hereditary and have finite global dimension. We discuss some restrictions, under which cellular perverse algebras are Koszul. We also study the relationship between Koszul duality functors in the derived categories of categories of graded and non-graded modules over an algebra and its quadratic dual.  相似文献

We prove that in a 2-Calabi-Yau triangulated category, each cluster tilting subcategory is Gorenstein with all its finitely generated projectives of injective dimension at most one. We show that the stable category of its Cohen-Macaulay modules is 3-Calabi-Yau. We deduce in particular that cluster-tilted algebras are Gorenstein of dimension at most one, and hereditary if they are of finite global dimension. Our results also apply to the stable (!) endomorphism rings of maximal rigid modules of [Christof Geiß, Bernard Leclerc, Jan Schröer, Rigid modules over preprojective algebras, arXiv: math.RT/0503324, Invent. Math., in press]. In addition, we prove a general result about relative 3-Calabi-Yau duality over non-stable endomorphism rings. This strengthens and generalizes the Ext-group symmetries obtained in [Christof Geiß, Bernard Leclerc, Jan Schröer, Rigid modules over preprojective algebras, arXiv: math.RT/0503324, Invent. Math., in press] for simple modules. Finally, we generalize the results on relative Calabi-Yau duality from 2-Calabi-Yau to d-Calabi-Yau categories. We show how to produce many examples of d-cluster tilted algebras.  相似文献

By a theorem due to the first author, the bounded derived category of a finite dimensional algebra over a field embeds fully faithfully into the stable category over its repetitive algebra. This embedding is an equivalence if the algebra is of finite global dimension. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the derived category and the stable category over the repetitive algebra from various points of view for algebras of infinite global dimension. The most satisfactory results are obtained for Gorenstein algebras, especially for selfinjective algebras.  相似文献

In this paper, we use topological techniques to construct generalized trace and modified dimension functions on ideals in certain ribbon categories. Examples of such ribbon categories naturally arise in representation theory where the usual trace and dimension functions are zero, but these generalized trace and modified dimension functions are nonzero. Such examples include categories of finite dimensional modules of certain Lie algebras and finite groups over a field of positive characteristic and categories of finite dimensional modules of basic Lie superalgebras over the complex numbers. These modified dimensions can be interpreted categorically and are closely related to some basic notions from representation theory.  相似文献

Using a relative version of Auslander's formula, we give a functorial approach to show that the bounded derived category of every Artin algebra admits a categorical resolution. This, in particular, implies that the bounded derived categories of Artin algebras of finite global dimension determine bounded derived categories of all Artin algebras. Hence, this paper can be considered as a typical application of functor categories, introduced in representation theory by Auslander(1971), to categorical resolutions.  相似文献

Enomoto showed for finite dimensional algebras that the classification of exact structures on the category of finitely generated projective modules can be reduced to the classification of 2-regular simple modules. In this article, we give a combinatorial classification of 2-regular simple modules for Nakayama algebras and we use this classification to answer several natural questions such as when there is a unique exact structure on the category of finitely generated projective modules for Nakayama algebras. We also classify 1-regular simple modules, quasi-hereditary Nakayama algebras and Nakayama algebras of global dimension at most two. It turns out that most classes are enumerated by well-known combinatorial sequences, such as Fibonacci, Riordan and Narayana numbers. We first obtain interpretations in terms of the Auslander-Reiten quiver of the algebra using homological algebra, and then apply suitable bijections to relate these to combinatorial statistics on Dyck paths.  相似文献

The singularity category of a ring makes only the modules of finite projective dimension vanish among the modules, so that the singularity category is expected to characterize a homological property of modules of infinite projective dimension. In this paper, among such modules, we deal with eventually periodic modules over a left artin ring, and, as our main result, we characterize them in terms of morphisms in the singularity category. As applications, we first prove that, for the class of finite dimensional algebras over a field, being eventually periodic is preserved under singular equivalence of Morita type with level. Moreover, we determine which finite dimensional connected Nakayama algebras are eventually periodic when the ground field is algebraically closed.  相似文献

In this paper we construct Gorenstein-projective modules over Morita rings with zero bimodule homomorphisms and we provide sufficient conditions for such rings to be Gorenstein Artin algebras. This is the first part of our work which is strongly connected with monomorphism categories. In the second part, we investigate monomorphisms where the domain has finite projective dimension. In particular, we show that the latter category is a Gorenstein subcategory of the monomorphism category over a Gorenstein algebra. Finally, we consider the category of coherent functors over the stable category of this Gorenstein subcategory and show that it carries a structure of a Gorenstein abelian category.  相似文献

We first give an equivalence between the derived category of a locally finitely presented category and the derived category of contravariant functors from its finitely presented subcategory to the category of abelian groups, in the spirit of Krause’s work [Math. Ann., 2012, 353: 765–781]. Then we provide a criterion for the existence of recollement of derived categories of functor categories, which shows that the recollement structure may be induced by a proper morphism defined in finitely presented subcategories. This criterion is then used to construct a recollement of derived category of Gorenstein injective modules over CM-finite 2-Gorenstein artin algebras.  相似文献

We determine the pure global dimension of finite dimensional hereditary or radical-squared zero algebras over algebraically closed fields. The results are applied to algebras of dimension four and to the incidence algebras of critical ordered sets studied by Loupias. We further prove that the path algebra of an oriented cycle shares with Dedekind domains the Kulikov property (submodules of pure-projective modules are pure-projective).  相似文献

This note investigates the modules over the endomorphism algebras of maximal rigid objects in 2-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories. We study the possible complements for almost complete tilting modules. Combining with Happel's theorem, we show that the possible exchange sequences for tilting modules over such algebras are induced by the exchange triangles for maximal rigid objects in the corresponding 2-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories. For the modules of infinite projective dimension, we generalize a recent result by Beaudet–Brüstle–Todorov for cluster-tilted algebras.  相似文献

We study Auslander's representation dimension of Artin algebras, which is by definition the minimal projective dimension of coherent functors on modules which are both generators and cogenerators. We show the following statements: (1) if an Artin algebra A is stably hereditary, then the representation dimension of A is at most 3. (2) If two Artin algebras are stably equivalent of Morita type, then they have the same representation dimension. Particularly, if two self-injective algebras are derived equivalent, then they have the same representation dimension. (3) Any incidence algebra of a finite partially ordered set over a field has finite representation dimension. Moreover, we use results on quasi-hereditary algebras to show that (4) the Auslander algebra of a Nakayama algebra has finite representation dimension.  相似文献

The category of left modules over right coherent rings of finite weak global dimension has several nice features. For example, every left module over such a ring has a flat cover (Belshoff, Enochs, Xu) and, if the weak global dimension is at most two, every left module has a flat envelope (Asensio, Martínez). We will exploit these features of this category to study its objects. In particular, we will consider orthogonal complements (relative to the extension functor) of several classes of modules in this category. In the case of a commutative ring we describe an idempotent radical on its category of modules which, when the weak global dimension does not exceed 2, can be used to analyze the structure of the flat envelopes and of the ring itself.

Since curved dg algebras, and modules over them, have differentials whose square is not zero, these objects have no cohomology, and there is no classical derived category. For different purposes, different notions of “derived” categories have been introduced in the literature. In this article, we show that for some concrete curved dg algebras, these derived categories vanish. This happens for example for the initial curved dg algebra whose module category is the category of precomplexes, and for certain deformations of dg algebras.  相似文献

Stephenson and Vancliff recently introduced two families of quantum projective 3-spaces (quadratic and Artin–Schelter regular algebras of global dimension 4) which have the property that the associated automorphism of the scheme of point modules is finite order, and yet the algebra is not finite over its center. This is in stark contrast to theorems of Artin, Tate, and Van den Bergh in global dimension 3. We analyze the representation theory of these algebras. We classify all of the finite-dimensional simple modules and describe some zero-dimensional elements of Proj, i.e., so called fat point modules. In particular, we observe that the shift functor on zero-dimensional elements of Proj, which is closely related to the above automorphism, actually has infinite order.  相似文献

We study irreducible representations of two classes of conformal Galilei algebras in 1-spatial dimension. We construct a functor which transforms simple modules with nonzero central charge over the Heisenberg subalgebra into simple modules over the conformal Galilei algebras. This can be viewed as an analogue of oscillator representations. We use oscillator representations to describe the structure of simple highest weight modules over conformal Galilei algebras. We classify simple weight modules with finite dimensional weight spaces over finite dimensional Heisenberg algebras and use this classification and properties of oscillator representations to classify simple weight modules with finite dimensional weight spaces over conformal Galilei algebras.  相似文献

We consider the relationship between the relative stable category of and the usual singularity category for group algebras with coefficients in a commutative noetherian ring. When the coefficient ring is self-injective we show that these categories share a common, relatively large, Verdier quotient. At the other extreme, when the coefficient ring has finite global dimension, there is a semi-orthogonal decomposition, due to Poulton, relating the two categories. We prove that this decomposition is partially compatible with the monoidal structure and study the morphism it induces on spectra.  相似文献

The famous Nakayama conjecture states that the dominant dimension of a non-selfinjective finite dimensional algebra is finite. Yamagata (Frobenius algebras handbook of algebra, vol 1. Elsevier/North-Holland, Amsterdam, pp 841–887, 1996) stated the stronger conjecture that the dominant dimension of a non-selfinjective finite dimensional algebra is bounded by a function depending on the number of simple modules of that algebra. With a view towards those conjectures, new bounds on dominant dimensions seem desirable. We give a new approach to bounds on the dominant dimension of gendo-symmetric algebras via counting non-isomorphic indecomposable summands of rigid modules in the module category of those algebras. On the other hand, by Mueller’s theorem, the calculation of dominant dimensions is directly related to the calculation of certain Ext-groups. Motivated by this connection we also give new results for showing the non-vanishing of \(Ext^{1}(M,M)\) for certain modules in local symmetric algebras, which specializes to show that blocks of category \(\mathcal {O}\) and 1-quasi-hereditary algebras with a special duality have dominant dimension exactly 2.  相似文献

We shall show that the stable categories of graded Cohen–Macaulay modules over quotient singularities have tilting objects. In particular, these categories are triangle equivalent to derived categories of finite dimensional algebras. Our method is based on higher dimensional Auslander–Reiten theory, which gives cluster tilting objects in the stable categories of (ungraded) Cohen–Macaulay modules.  相似文献
