The quasi-shuffle product and mixable shuffle product are both generalizations of the shuffle product and have both been studied quite extensively recently. We relate these two generalizations and realize quasi-shuffle product algebras as subalgebras of mixable shuffle product algebras. As an application, we obtain Hopf algebra structures in free Rota–Baxter algebras.  相似文献

We study Hom-type analogs of Rota–Baxter and dendriform algebras, called Rota–Baxter G-Hom–associative algebras and Hom-dendriform algebras. Several construction results are proved. Free algebras for these objects are explicitly constructed. Various functors between these categories, as well as an adjunction between the categories of Rota–Baxter Hom-associative algebras and of Hom-(tri)dendriform algebras, are constructed.  相似文献

Mixable shuffle algebras are generalizations of the well-known shuffle algebra and quasi-shuffle algebra with broad applications. In this article we study the ring theoretic structures of mixable shuffle algebras with coefficients in a field motivated by the well-known work of Radford that a shuffle algebra with rational coefficients is a polynomial algebra in Lyndon words. To consider coefficients in a field of positive characteristic p, we carefully study the Lyndon words and their p-variations. As a result, we determine the structures of a quite large class of mixable shuffle algebras by providing explicit sets of generators and relations.  相似文献

We introduce notions of 𝒪-operators of the Loday algebras including the dendriform algebras and quadri-algebras as a natural generalization of Rota–Baxter operators. The invertible 𝒪-operators give a sufficient and necessary condition on the existence of the 2 n+1 operations on an algebra with the 2 n operations in an associative cluster. The analogues of the classical Yang–Baxter equation in these algebras can be understood as the 𝒪-operators associated to certain dual bimodules. As a byproduct, the constraint conditions (invariances) of nondegenerate bilinear forms on these algebras are given.  相似文献

In this paper, the methods and results in enumeration and generation of Rota–Baxter words in Guo and Sit (Algebraic and Algorithmic Aspects of Differential and Integral Operators (AADIOS), Math. Comp. Sci., vol. 4, Sp. Issue (2,3), 2011) are generalized and applied to a free, non-commutative, non-unitary, ordinary differential Rota–Baxter algebra with one generator. A differential Rota–Baxter algebra is an associative algebra with two operators modeled after the differential and integral operators, which are related by the First Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Differential Rota–Baxter words are words formed by concatenating differential monomials in the generator with images of words under the Rota–Baxter operator. Their totality is a canonical basis of a free, non-commutative, non-unitary, ordinary differential Rota–Baxter algebra. A free differential Rota–Baxter algebra can be constructed from a free Rota–Baxter algebra on a countably infinite set of generators. The order of the derivation gives another dimension of grading on differential Rota–Baxter words, enabling us to generalize and refine results from Guo and Sit to enumerate the set of differential Rota–Baxter words and outline an algorithm for their generation according to a multi-graded structure. Enumeration of a basis is often a first step to choosing a data representation in implementation of algorithms involving free algebras, and in particular, free differential Rota–Baxter algebras and several related algebraic structures on forests and trees. The generating functions obtained can be used to provide links to other combinatorial structures.  相似文献

In recent years, algebraic studies of the differential calculus and integral calculus in the forms of differential algebra and Rota–Baxter algebra have been merged together to reflect the close relationship between the two calculi through the First Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. In this paper we study this relationship from a categorical point of view in the context of distributive laws which can be tracked back to the distributive law of multiplication over addition. The monad giving Rota–Baxter algebras and the comonad giving differential algebras are constructed. Then we obtain monads and comonads giving the composite structures of differential and Rota–Baxter algebras. As a consequence, a mixed distributive law of the monad giving Rota–Baxter algebras over the comonad giving differential algebras is established.  相似文献

Given a locally finite graded set A and a commutative, associative operation on A that adds degrees, we construct a commutative multiplication * on the set of noncommutative polynomials in A which we call a quasi-shuffle product; it can be viewed as a generalization of the shuffle product III. We extend this commutative algebra structure to a Hopf algebra (U, *, ); in the case where A is the set of positive integers and the operation on A is addition, this gives the Hopf algebra of quasi-symmetric functions. If rational coefficients are allowed, the quasi-shuffle product is in fact no more general than the shuffle product; we give an isomorphism exp of the shuffle Hopf algebra (U, III, ) onto (U, *, ) the set L of Lyndon words on A and their images { exp(w) w L} freely generate the algebra (U, *). We also consider the graded dual of (U, *, ). We define a deformation *q of * that coincides with * when q = 1 and is isomorphic to the concatenation product when q is not a root of unity. Finally, we discuss various examples, particularly the algebra of quasi-symmetric functions (dual to the noncommutative symmetric functions) and the algebra of Euler sums.  相似文献

In this paper, we study (associative) Nijenhuis algebras, with emphasis on the relationship between the category of Nijenhuis algebras and the categories of NS algebras and related algebras. This is in analogy to the well-known theory of the adjoint functor from the category of Lie algebras to that of associative algebras, and the more recent results on the adjoint functor from the categories of dendriform and tridendriform algebras to that of Rota-Baxter algebras. We first give an explicit construction of free Nijenhuis algebras and then apply it to obtain the universal enveloping Nijenhuis algebra of an NS algebra. We further apply the construction to determine the binary quadratic nonsymmetric algebra, called the N-dendriform algebra, that is compatible with the Nijenhuis algebra. As it turns out, the N-dendriform algebra has more relations than the NS algebra.  相似文献

For any commutative algebra R the shuffle product on the tensor module T(R) can be deformed to a new product. It is called the quasi-shuffle algebra, or stuffle algebra, and denoted T q (R). We show that if R is the polynomial algebra, then T q (R) is free for some algebraic structure called Commutative TriDendriform (CTD-algebras). This result is part of a structure theorem for CTD-bialgebras which are associative as coalgebras and whose primitive part is commutative. In other words, there is a good triple of operads (As, CTD, Com) analogous to (Com, As, Lie). In the last part we give a similar interpretation of the quasi-shuffle algebra in the noncommutative setting.  相似文献

A commutative Rota–Baxter algebra can be regarded as a commutative algebra that carries an abstraction of the integral operator. With the motivation of generalizing the study of algebraic geometry to Rota–Baxter algebras, we extend the central concept of localization for commutative algebras to commutative Rota–Baxter algebras. The existence of such a localization is proved and, under mild conditions, its explicit construction is obtained. The existence of tensor products of commutative Rota–Baxter algebras is also proved and the compatibility of localization and the tensor product of Rota–Baxter algebras is established. We further study Rota–Baxter coverings and show that they form a Grothendieck topology.  相似文献

Motivated by a question of Rota, this paper studies the relationship between Rota–Baxter algebras and symmetric-related functions. The starting point is the fact that the space of quasi-symmetric functions is spanned by monomial quasi-symmetric functions which are indexed by compositions. When composition is replaced by left weak composition (LWC), we obtain the concept of LWC monomial quasi-symmetric functions and the resulting space of LWC quasi-symmetric functions. In line with the question of Rota, the latter is shown to be isomorphic to the free commutative nonunitary Rota–Baxter algebra on one generator. The combinatorial interpretation of quasi-symmetric functions by P-partitions from compositions is extended to the context of left weak compositions, leading to the concept of LWC fundamental quasi-symmetric functions. The transformation formulas for LWC monomial and LWC fundamental quasi-symmetric functions are obtained, generalizing the corresponding results for quasi-symmetric functions. Extending the close relationship between quasi-symmetric functions and multiple zeta values, weighted multiple zeta values, and a q-analog of multiple zeta values are investigated, and a decomposition formula is established.  相似文献

Abstract

The category HopfR of Hopf algebras over a commutative unital ring R is analyzed with respect to its categorical properties. The main results are: (1) For every ring R the category HopfR is locally presentable, it is coreflective in the category of bialgebras over R, over every R-algebra there exists a cofree Hopf algebra. (2) If, in addition, R is absoluty flat, then HopfR is reflective in the category of bialgebras as well, and there exists a free Hopf algebra over every R-coalgebra. Similar results are obtained for relevant subcategories of HopfR. Moreover it is shown that, for every commutative unital ring R, the so-called “dual algebra functor” has a left adjoint and that, more generally, universal measuring coalgebras exist.  相似文献

We prove that all Rota–Baxter operators on a quadratic division algebra are trivial. For nonzero weight, we state that all Rota–Baxter operators on the simple odd-dimensional Jordan algebra of bilinear form are projections on a subalgebra along another one. For weight zero, we find a connection between the Rota–Baxter operators and the solutions to the alternative Yang–Baxter equation on the Cayley–Dickson algebra. We also investigate the Rota–Baxter operators on the matrix algebras of order two, the Grassmann algebra of plane, and the Kaplansky superalgebra.  相似文献

We give some sufficient conditions that each multiplier on a faithful commutative Banach algebra has SVEP. On the other hand, we show that there exist a faithful commutative Banach algebra and a multiplier on it without SVEP. Such examples of multipliers can actually be found within the class of multiplication operators on unital commutative Banach algebras. This answers in negative a question that is stated as Open problem 6.2.1 by Laursen and Neumann, 2000.

The concept of integro-differential algebra has been introduced recently in the study of boundary problems of differential equations. We generalize this concept to that of integro-differential algebra with a weight, in analogy to the differential Rota–Baxter algebra. We construct free commutative integro-differential algebras with weight generated by a differential algebra. This gives in particular an explicit construction of the integro-differential algebra on one generator. Properties of the free objects are studied.  相似文献

Introducing Nijenhuis forms on L-algebras gives a general frame to understand deformations of the latter. We give here a Nijenhuis interpretation of a deformation of an arbitrary Lie algebroid into an L-algebra. Then we show that Nijenhuis forms on L-algebras also give a short and e?cient manner to understand Poisson-Nijenhuis structures and, more generally, the so-called exact Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis structures with background.  相似文献

We show that the shuffle algebras for polylogarithms and regularized MZVs in the sense of Ihara, Kaneko and Zagier are both free commutative nonunitary Rota-Baxter algebras with one generator. We apply these results to show that the full sets of shuffle relations of polylogarithms and regularized MZVs are derived by a single series. We also take this approach to study the extended double shuffle relations of MZVs by comparing these shuffle relations with the quasi-shuffle relations of the regularized MZVs in our previous approach of MZVs by renormalization.  相似文献

Let R be a unital semi-simple commutative complex Banach algebra, and let M(R) denote its maximal ideal space, equipped with the Gelfand topology. Sufficient topological conditions are given on M(R) for R to be a projective free ring, that is, a ring in which every finitely generated projective R-module is free. Several examples are included, notably the Hardy algebra H(X) of bounded holomorphic functions on a Riemann surface of finite type, and also some algebras of stable transfer functions arising in control theory.  相似文献

By applying a recent construction of free Baxter algebras, we obtain a new class of Hopf algebras that generalizes the classical divided power Hopf algebra. We also study conditions under which these Hopf algebras are isomorphic.
