On the classification of partition quantum groups

This is a survey on some results obtained recently in the classification of compact quantum groups associated to partitions, with a focus on the non-crossing case. We take a global look at the main results in the subject and highlight some key features of the methods used. We conclude by several suggestions for pushing further the classification.

本文通过一个序半群S上的一些二元关系以及它的理想的根集的性质该序半群是阿基米德半群的半格,特别地是阿基米德半群的链的刻划,证明了S是阿基米德链当且仅当S是准素的.通过序半群的m-系的概念,证明了S的任意半素理想是含它的所有素理想的交,并通过该结论,证明了S是阿基米德半群的链当且仅当S是阿基米德半群的半格且S的所有素理想关于集包含关系构成链.作为应用,该结论在一般的半群（没有序）[1]中也成立.     

Tight representations of semilattices and inverse semigroups

By a Boolean inverse semigroup we mean an inverse semigroup whose semilattice of idempotents is a Boolean algebra. We study representations of a given inverse semigroup in a Boolean inverse semigroup which are tight in a certain well defined technical sense. These representations are supposed to preserve as much as possible any trace of Booleanness present in the semilattice of idempotents of  . After observing that the Vagner–Preston representation is not tight, we exhibit a canonical tight representation for any inverse semigroup with zero, called the regular tight representation. We then tackle the question as to whether this representation is faithful, but it turns out that the answer is often negative. The lack of faithfulness is however completely understood as long as we restrict to continuous inverse semigroups, a class generalizing the E ^*-unitaries. Partially supported by CNPq.     

Möbius functions and semigroup representation theory

This paper explores several applications of Möbius functions to the representation theory of finite semigroups. We extend Solomon's approach to the semigroup algebra of a finite semilattice via Möbius functions to arbitrary finite inverse semigroups. This allows us to explicitly calculate the orthogonal central idempotents decomposing an inverse semigroup algebra into a direct product of matrix algebras over group rings. We also extend work of Bidigare, Hanlon, Rockmore and Brown on calculating eigenvalues of random walks associated to certain classes of finite semigroups; again Möbius functions play an important role.     

The Translational Hull of Strongly Inverse Wrpp Semigroups

In this paper,we obtain some characterizations of the translational hull of strongly inverse wrpp semigroups.And we prove that the translational hull of a strongly inverse wrpp semigroup is still of the same type.     

Proper extensions of weakly left ample semigroups

Summary We consider proper (idempotent pure) extensions of weakly left ample semigroups. These are extensions that are injective in each <InlineEquation ID=IE"1"><EquationSource Format="TEX"><![CDATA[<InlineEquation ID=IE"2"><EquationSource Format="TEX"><![CDATA[$]]></EquationSource></InlineEquation>]]></EquationSource></InlineEquation>\widetilde{\mathcal{R}}$-class. A graph expansion of a weakly left ample semigroup S is shown to be such an extension of S. Using semigroupoids acted upon by weakly left ample semigroups, we prove that any weakly left ample semigroup which is a proper extension of another such semigroup T is (2,1)-embeddable into a λ-semidirect product of a semilattice by T. Some known results, by O'Carroll, for idempotent pure extensions of inverse semigroups and, by Billhardt, for proper extensions of left ample semigroups follow from this more general situation.     

Hecke Algebras of Group Extensions

Abstract

We describe the Hecke algebra ?(Γ,Γ₀) of a Hecke pair (Γ,Γ₀) in terms of the Hecke pair (N,Γ₀) where N is a normal subgroup of Γ containing Γ₀. To do this, we introduce twisted crossed products of unital *-algebras by semigroups. Then, provided a certain semigroup S ? Γ/N satisfies S ^?1 S = Γ/N, we show that ? (Γ,Γ₀) is the twisted crossed product of ? (N,Γ₀) by S. This generalizes a recent theorem of Laca and Larsen about Hecke algebras of semidirect products.     

Inverse subsemigroups and classes of finite aperiodic semigroups

We prove a number of results related to finite semigroups and their inverse subsemigroups, including the following. (1) A finite semigroup is aperiodic if and only if it is a homomorphic image of a finite semigroup whose inverse subsemigroups are semilattices. (2) A finite inverse semigroup can be represented by order-preserving mappings on a chain if and only if it is a semilattice. Finally, we introduce the concept of pseudo-small quasivariety of finite semigroups, generalizing the concept of small variety.     

逆半群上S-系的内射壳

On U-ample ω-semigroups

The investigation of U-ample ω-semigroups is initiated. After obtaining some properties of such semigroups, a structure of U-ample ω-semigroups is established. It is proved that a semigroup is a U-ample ω-semigroup if and only if it can be expressed by WBR（T, 0）, namely, the weakly Bruck-Reilly extensions of a monoid T. This result not only extends and amplifies the structure theorem of bisimple inverse ω-semigroups given by N. R. Reilly, but also generalizes the structure theorem of ,-bisimple type A ω-semigroups given by U. Asibong-Ibe in 1985.     

E-自反逆半群上的Clifford同余

Spectral Properties of a Class of Positive Semigroups on Banach Lattices and Streaming Operators

We deal with a general streaming semigroup arising in transport theory. We show that in general such a semigroup has a direct decomposition into three simpler semigroups one of which extends to a group. A general spectral theory of them is given and is partly derived from that of a class of positive semigroups on Banach lattices.
