ABSTRACT The role played by fields in relation to Galois Rings corresponds to semifields if the associativity is dropped, that is, if we consider Generalized Galois Rings instead of (associative) Galois rings. If S is a Galois ring and pS is the set of zero divisors in S, S* = S\ pS is known to be a finite {multiplicative} Abelian group that is cyclic if, and only if, S is a finite field, or S = ?/n? with n = 4 or n = p r for some odd prime p. Without associativity, S* is not a group, but a loop. The question of when this loop can be generated by a single element is addressed in this article. 相似文献

We construct the endofunctor 𝔲𝔠𝔢 between the category of Leibniz algebras which assigns to a perfect Leibniz algebra its universal central extension, and we obtain the isomorphism 𝔲𝔠𝔢Lie(𝔮Lie) ? (𝔲𝔠𝔢Leib(𝔮))Lie, where 𝔮 is a perfect Leibniz algebra satisfying the condition [x, [x, y]] + [[x, y], x] = 0, for all x, y ∈ 𝔮. Moreover, we obtain several results concerning the lifting of automorphisms and derivations in a covering. We show that the Connes–Moscovici negative cyclic cohomology of a Hopf algebra equipped with a character has a Lie bracket of degree -2. More generally, we show that a cyclic operad with multiplication is a cocyclic module whose simplicial cohomology is a Batalin–Vilkovisky algebra and whose negative cyclic cohomology is a graded Lie algebra of degree -2. This generalizes the fact that the Hochschild cohomology algebra of a symmetric algebra is a Batalin–Vilkovisky algebra. 相似文献

It is known that the second Leibniz homology group HL 2 (𝔰𝔱𝔩 n (R)) of the Steinberg Leibniz algebra 𝔰𝔱𝔩 n (R) is trivial for n ≥ 5. In this article, we determine HL 2(𝔰𝔱𝔩 n (R)) explicitly (which are shown to be not necessarily trivial) for n = 3, 4 without any assumption on the base ring. 相似文献

Let p be an odd prime and q = 2(p-1).Up to total degree t-s max{(5p~3+ 6p~2+ 6 p +4)q-10,p~4q},the generators of H~(s,t)(U(L)),the cohomology of the universal enveloping algebra of a bigraded Lie algebra L,are determined and their convergence is also verified.Furthermore our results reveal that this cohomology satisfies an analogous Poinare duality property.This largely generalizes an earlier classical results due to J.P.May. 相似文献

Gelfand and Fuks have studied the cohomology of the Lie algebra of vector fields on a manifold. In this article, we generalize their main tools to compute the Leibniz cohomology, by extending the two spectral sequences associated to the diagonal and the order filtration. In this note we point out that the definition of the universal enveloping dialgebra for a Leibniz algebra is consistent with the interpretation of a Leibniz algebra as a generalization not of a Lie algebra, but of the adjoint representation of a Lie algebra. From this point of view, the formal integration problem of Leibniz algebras is, essentially, trivial. 相似文献

The authors first construct an explicit minimal projective bimodule resolution(P, δ) of the Temperley-Lieb algebra A, and then apply it to calculate the Hochschild cohomology groups and the cup product of the Hochschild cohomology ring of A based on a comultiplicative map Δ:P → PAP. Abstract In order to study the Hochschild cohomology of an n-triangular algebra 𝒯 n , we construct a spectral sequence, whose terms are parametrized by the length of the trajectories of the quiver associated with 𝒯 n , and which converges to the Hochschild cohomology of 𝒯 n . We describe explicitly its components and its differentials which are sums of cup products. In case n = 3 we study some properties of the differential at level 2. We give some examples of use of the spectral sequence and recover formulas for the dimension of the cohomology groups of particular cases of triangular algebras. 相似文献
