In their article, “On the derived subgroup of the free nilpotent groups of finite rank” R. D. Blyth, P. Moravec, and R. F. Morse describe the structure of the derived subgroup of a free nilpotent group of finite rank n as a direct product of a nonabelian group and a free abelian group, each with a minimal generating set of cardinality that is a given function of n. They apply this result to computing the nonabelian tensor squares of the free nilpotent groups of finite rank. We generalize their main result to investigate the structure of the other terms of the lower central series of a free nilpotent group of finite rank, each again described as a direct product of a nonabelian group and a free abelian group. In order to compute the ranks of the free abelian components and the size of minimal generating sets for the nonabelian components we introduce what we call weight partitions.  相似文献

In this paper, the central limit theorem for lacunary trigonometric series is proved. Two gap conditions by Erdos and Takahashi are extended and unified. The criterion for the Fourier character of lacunary series is also given.

The Wielandt subgroup of a group G,denoted by w(G),is the intersection of the normalizers of all subnormal subgroups of G.In this paper,the authors show that for a p-group of maximal class G,either wi(G) = ζi(G) for all integer i or wi(G) = ζi+1(G) for every integer i,and w(G/K) = ζ(G/K) for every normal subgroup K in G with K = 1.Meanwhile,a necessary and suflcient condition for a regular p-group of maximal class satisfying w(G) = ζ2(G) is given.Finally,the authors prove that the power automorphism group PAut(G) is an elementary abelian p-group if G is a non-abelian pgroup with elementary ζ(G) ∩ 1(G).  相似文献

In this paper,we prove the nonimbedding theorem in nilpotent n-Liealgebras which is an analogue to the nonimbedding theorem of Burnsids in groupsof prime power order.We also study the properties of Frattini subalgebras of n-Liealgebras over the field with characteristic zero,and prove that the Frattini subalgebraof any k-solvable(k≥2)n-Lie algebra is zero.  相似文献

We introduce a class of function spaces consisting of integer-valued functions of several integers which coordinatize the elements of certain subgroups of some finite regular wreath product groups. On each function space, we define operators which correspond to forming certain commutators relevent to computing the upper central series. We define an automorphism of the function space which enables us to define a class of subgroups that is useful for describing the upper central series of certain finite regular wreath product p-groups. Our results describe fundamental, interesting, and useful relationships between the automorphism and the operators. We describe some applications.  相似文献

In this paper, we give an explicit formula for the first two terms of the Taylor expansion of a classical Eisenstein series of weight for . Both the first term and the second term have interesting arithmetic interpretations. We apply the result to compute the central derivative of some Hecke -functions.

Let G be a finite group, H be a proper subgroup of G, and S be a unitary subring of C. The kernel of the restriction map S[Irr(G)] → S[Irr(H)] as a ring homomorphism is studied. As a corollary, the main result in [Isaacs, I. M. and Navarro, G., Injective restriction of characters, Arch. Math., 108, 2017, 437–439] is reproved.  相似文献

In this paper we prove that two finite-dimensional linear Jordan algebras over an algebraically closed field with isothermic lattices of subalgebras must bi isothemic if one of them is semisimple non-isothermic to F. As a corollary of this fact, we prove that two unital Jordan algebras with isothermic lattices of subalgebras must have the same dimension when the ground field is algebraically closed of characteristic zero. Through this work we see similar results in more general fields for particular families of simple Jordan algebras.  相似文献

Let G be a group and let N be a normal subgroup of G. We set cd(G|N) to be the degrees of the irreducible characters of G whose kernels do not contain N. We associate a graph with this set. The vertices of this graph are the primes dividing degrees in cd(G|N), and there is an edge between p and q if pq divides some degree in cd(G|N). In this paper, we study this graph when it is disconnected, and we study its diameter when it is connected.  相似文献

This article gives an analysis of topological and homological properties for loop spaces of configuration spaces. The main topological results are given by certain choices of product decompositions of these spaces, as well as ``twistings" between the factors. The main homological results are given in terms of extensions of the ``infinitesimal braid relations" or ``universal Yang-Baxter Lie relations".
