A nonequilibrium phase transition of a generalized Burgers–Fisher equation describing biological pattern formation with a periodic boundary condition is examined. In the presence of a weak external force, some approximate bifurcation solutions near a critical point and new spatially periodic patterns are obtained by using the perturbation method in an infinite-dimensional space. The result shows that the external force delays the bifurcation.  相似文献

In this communication we present the equations of Euler generalized for the motion of a body in an accelerated reference frame using the generalized work-energy principle. The equivalence among the generalized Euler equation, the generalized Lagrange equation, and the generalized Kane equation are shown when applied to the motion of a body of a holonomic system that depend onn generalized coordinates. Therefore when the generalized coordinates can be reduced to two sets of independent coordinates, the generalized Euler equation can be split into two uncoupled equations that are not independent of each other.Universidade da Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal. Based on the resulting Lax pairs of the generalized coupled KdV soliton equation, a new Darboux transformation with multi-parameters for the generalized coupled KdV soliton equation is derived with the help of a gauge transformation of the spectral problem. By using Darboux transformation, the generalized odd-soliton solutions of the generalized coupled KdV soliton equation are given and presented in determinant form. The generalized Boussinesq equation that represents a group of important nonlinear equations possesses many interesting properties. Multi-symplectic formulations of the generalized Boussinesq equation in the Hamilton space are introduced in this paper. And then an implicit multi-symplectic scheme equivalent to the multi-symplectic Box scheme is constructed to solve the partial differential equations (PDEs) derived from the generalized Boussinesq equation. Finally, the numerical experiments on the soliton solutions of the generalized Boussinesq equation are reported. The results show that the multi-symplectic method is an efficient algorithm with excellent long-time numerical behaviors for nonlinear partial differential equations.  相似文献

In the present study, a generalized Fourier transform for time harmonic elastic wave propagation in a half space is developed. The generalized Fourier transform is obtained from the spectral representation of the operator derived from the elastic wave equation. By means of the generalized Fourier transform, a volume integral equation method for the analysis of scattered elastic waves is presented. The proposed method is based on the Krylov subspace iteration technique. During the iterative process, the discrete generalized Fourier transform is used, where the derivation of a huge and dense matrix from the volume integral equation is not necessary.  相似文献

New solitary and extended wave solutions of the generalized sinh-Gordon (SHG) equation with a variable coefficient are found by utilizing the self-similar transformation between this equation and the standard SHG equation. Two arbitrary self-similar functions are included in the known solutions of the standard SHG equation, to obtain exact solutions of the generalized SHG equation with a specific variable coefficient. Our results demonstrate that the solitary and extended waves of the variable-coefficient SHG equation can be manipulated and controlled by a proper selection of the two arbitrary self-similar functions.  相似文献

In this paper, we first introduce a novel generalized derivative and obtain the generalized first-order Taylor expansion of the nonsmooth functions. Then we derive the generalized Euler–Lagrange equation for the nonsmooth calculus of variations and solve this equation by using Chebyshev pseudospectral method, approximately. 采用有限差分法对广义润滑方程进行数值求解,计算出计算机磁头滑块压强场的分布情况。分析、研究了其稳态和动态气动力特性,并将计算结果分别与求解一阶、二阶修正雷诺方程所得到的结果进行了比较,得到如下三个结论:(1)当飞行高度很小,飞行速度较低时,必须采用广义润滑方程进行磁头滑块的气动力计算,(2)与广义润滑方程结果比较,求解一阶修正雷诺方程所得到的计算结果总是偏高,而求解二阶修正雷诺方程所得到的计算结果总是偏低。此外,还解决了大压缩数下数值失稳问题,使得压缩数可以计算到120万,足以适应任何实际工程的需要。  相似文献

In the present paper,a general solution involving three arbitrary functions for the generalized(2+1)dimensional KdV-mKdV equation,which is derived fromthe generalized(1+1)-dimensional KdV-mKdV equation,is first introduced by means of the Wiess,Tabor,Carnevale(WTC) truncation method.And then multisymplectic formulations with several conservation lawstaken into account are presented for the generalized(2+1)dimensional KdV-mKdV equation based on the multisymplectic theory of Bridges.Subsequently,in order tosimulate the periodic wave solutions in terms of rationalfunctions of the Jacobi elliptic functions derived from thegeneral solution,a semi-implicit multi-symplectic schemeis constructed that is equivalent to the Preissmann scheme.From the results of the numerical experiments,we can conclude that the multi-symplectic schemes can accurately simulate the periodic wave solutions of the generalized(2+1)dimensional KdV-mKdV equation while preserve approximately the conservation laws.  相似文献

A new system of generalized mixed implicit equilibrium problems is introduced and studied in Banach spaces. First, the notion of the Yosida proximal mapping for generalized mixed implicit equilibrium problems is introduced. By using the notion, a system of generalized equation problems is considered, and its equivalence with the system of generalized mixed implicit equilibrium problems is also proved. Next, by applying the system of generalized equation problems, we suggest and analyze an iterative algorithm to compute the approximate solutions of the system of generalized mixed implicit equilibrium problems. The strong convergence of the iterative sequences generated by the algorithm is proved under quite mild conditions. The results are new and unify and generalize some recent results in this field.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the existence of time quasi-periodic solutions for the generalized Ginzburg-Landau equation under periodic boundary conditions. By constructing a KAM theorem for dissipative systems with unbounded perturbations and multiple normal frequencies, we obtain a Cantorian branch of 2-dimensional invariant tori for the generalized Ginzburg-Landau equation.  相似文献

The governing equation of the first arrival time of a monotonically propagating front (wavefront or shock front) in an inhomogeneous moving medium is an anisotropic eikonal equation, called the generalized eikonal equation in moving media. When the ambient medium is at rest, this equation reduces to the well-known (isotropic) eikonal equation in which the characteristic direction coincides with the normal direction of the propagating front. The fast marching method is an efficient method for computing the first arrival time of a propagating front as the approximate solution of the isotropic eikonal equation. The fast marching method inherits the property that the characteristic direction coincides with the normal direction at every point on the propagating wavefront and therefore is well suited for the eikonal equation. Due to anisotropic nature, this property does not hold in the case of front propagation in a moving medium. Thus, the fast marching method cannot be directly used for the generalized eikonal equation and needs some suitable modifications. We recently proposed a characteristic fast marching method on a rectangular grid for the generalized eikonal equation (Dahiya et al., 2013) and shown numerically that this method is stable, accurate, and easy to update to second order approximations. In the present work, we generalize the method on structured triangular grids. We compare the numerical solution obtained using our method with the ray theory solution to show that the method captures accurately the viscosity solution of the generalized eikonal equation. We use the method to study some interesting geometrical features of an initially planar wavefront propagating in a medium with Taylor–Green type vortices.  相似文献

Gibbs–Duhem equation is one of the fundamental equations in thermodynamics, which describes the relation among changes in temperature, pressure and chemical potential. Thermodynamic system can be affected by external field, and this effect should be revealed by thermodynamic equations. Based on energy postulate and the first law of thermodynamics, the differential equation of internal energy is extended to include the properties of external fields. Then, with homogeneous function theorem and a redefinition of Gibbs energy, a generalized Gibbs–Duhem equation with influences of external fields is derived. As a demonstration of the application of this generalized equation, the influences of temperature and external electric field on surface tension, surface adsorption controlled by external electric field, and the derivation of a generalized chemical potential expression are discussed, which show that the extended Gibbs–Duhem equation developed in this paper is capable to capture the influences of external fields on a thermodynamic system.  相似文献

A fundamental problem on the constitutive equation with fractional derivatives for the generalized upper convected Maxwell model (UCM) is studied. The existing investigations on the constitutive equation are reviewed and their limitations or deficiencies are highlighted. By utilizing the convected coordinates approach, a mathematically rigorous constitutive equation with fractional derivatives for the generalized UCM model is proposed, which has an explicit expression for the stress tensor. This model can be reduced to the linear generalized Maxwell model with fractional derivatives, the UCM model and some other existing models. In addition, the rheological properties of this proposed model in the start-up of simple shear and elongation flows are investigated. It is shown that this generalized UCM model can describe the various stress evolution processes and the strain hardening effect of the viscoelastic fluids.  相似文献
