The title compound (systematic name: 4,4′‐ethylenedipyridinium dimaleate), C12H12N22+·2C4H3O4?, is a 1:2 adduct of 1,2‐bis(4‐pyridyl)ethylene (BPE) and maleic acid (MA). The interaction between the two components in the molecular complex is due to intermolecular hydrogen bonding via an N+—H?O? hydrogen bond.  相似文献

Molecules of the title compound, [(4‐nitrophenyl)sulfanyl]acetic acid, C8H7NO4S, are linked by paired O—H?O hydrogen bonds [H?O 1.81 Å, O?O 2.6456 (15) Å and O—H?O 178°] into centrosymmetric dimers containing an R(8) motif. A single C—H?O hydrogen bond having a nitro O atom as acceptor [H?O 2.47 Å, 3.3018 (19) Å and C—H?O 147°] links the dimers into a molecular ladder, and neighbouring ladders are weakly linked into sheets by aromatic π–π‐stacking interactions.  相似文献

Furan‐2,5‐dicarboxylic acid (FDCA) has been ranked among the top 12 bio‐based building‐block chemicals by the Department of Energy in the US. The molecule was first synthesized in 1876, but large‐scale production has only become possible since the development of modern bio‐ and chemical catalysis techniques. The structures of two FDCA solvates, namely, FDCA dimethylformamide (DMF) disolvate, C6H4O5·2C3H7NO, (I), and FDCA dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) monosolvate, C6H4O5·C2H6OS, (II), are reported. Solvate (I) crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbcn space group and solvate (II) crystallizes in the monoclinic P space group. In (I), hydrogen bonds form between the carbonyl O atom in DMF and a hydroxy H atom in FDCA. Whilst in (II), the O atom in one DMSO molecule hydrogen bonds with hydroxy H atoms in two FDCA molecules. Combined with intermolecular S…O interactions, FDCA molecules form a two‐dimensional network coordinated by DMSO.  相似文献

The structure of trans‐3‐(3‐pyridyl)acrylic acid, C8H7NO2, (I), possesses a two‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded array of supramolecular ribbons assembled via heterodimeric synthons between the pyridine and carboxyl groups. This compound is photoreactive in the solid state as a result of close contacts between the double bonds of neighbouring molecules [3.821 (1) Å] along the a axis. The crystal structure of the photoproduct, rctt‐3,3′‐(3,4‐dicarboxycyclobutane‐1,2‐diyl)dipyridinium dichloride, C16H16N2O42+·2Cl, (II), consists of a three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded network built from crosslinking of helical chains integrated by self‐assembly of dipyridinium cations and Cl anions via different O—H...Cl, C—H...Cl and N+—H...Cl hydrogen‐bond interactions.  相似文献

The title free base porphyrin compound forms hydrogen‐bonded adducts with N,N‐dimethylformamide, C44H30N4O4·4C3H7NO, (I), a mixture of N,N‐dimethylformamide and water, C44H30N4O4·4C3H7NO·H2O, (II), and a mixture of N,N‐dimethylacetamide and water, C44H30N4O4·6C3H7NO·2H2O, (III). Total solvation of the four hydroxy functions of the porphyrin molecules characterizes all three compounds, thus preventing its supramolecular association into extended network architectures. In (I), the asymmetric unit consist of two five‐component adduct species, while in (III), the nine‐component entities reside on centres of inversion. This report provides the first structural characterizations of the free base tetra(hydroxyphenyl)porphyrin. It also demonstrates that the presence of strong Lewis bases, such as dimethylformamide or dimethylacetamide, in the crystallization mixture prevents direct supramolecular networking of the porphyrin ligands via O—H...O—H hydrogen bonds, due to their competing O—H...N(base) interaction with the hydroxy functions. The crystal packing of compounds (I)–(III) resembles that of other hydrogen‐bonding‐assisted tetraarylporphyrin clathrates.  相似文献

In the crystal structures of 2‐amino‐4,6‐dimethoxypyrimidinium 2,4,6‐trinitrophenolate (picrate), C6H10N3O2+·C6H2N3O7, (I), and 2,4‐diamino‐5‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐6‐ethylpyrimidin‐1‐ium (pyrimethaminium or PMN) picrate dimethyl sulfoxide solvate, C12H14ClN4+·C6H2N3O7·C2H6OS, (II), the 2‐amino‐4,6‐dimethoxypyrimidine and PMN cations are protonated at one of the pyrimidine N atoms. The picrate anion interacts with the protonated cations through bifurcated N—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming R21(6) and R12(6) ring motifs. In (I), Z′ = 2. In (II), two inversion‐related PMN cations are connected through a pair of N—H...N hydrogen bonds involving the 4‐amino group and the uncharged N atom of the pyrimidine ring, forming a cyclic hydrogen‐bonded R22(8) motif. In addition to the pairing, the O atom of the dimethyl sulfoxide solvent molecule bridges the 2‐amino and 4‐amino groups on both sides of the paired bases, resulting in a self‐complementary …DADA… array of quadruple hydrogen‐bonding patterns.  相似文献

The title compound, a prototypical chiral molecule based on a tetraarylmethane framework, has been synthesized in five steps from (2‐pyridyl)‐(3‐pyridyl)ketone. X‐ray crystallographic analysis revealed the tetraarylmethane framework of the molecule but did not determine the positions of the nitrogen atoms because the crystal is a racemic compound and the aryl groups are disordered in the crystal. The optical resolution of the title compound was achieved by chiral HPLC with a Chiralcel OD column. The CD spectra of the two fractions in acetonitrile exhibited opposite signs as expected for a pair of enantiomers. Their CD spectra are changed in 2 M HCl due to protonation. The calculated CD curve for the target molecule based on time‐dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) reproduces the experimental result very well, thus suggesting that the first eluted fraction is the R isomer in terms of absolute configuration.  相似文献

Carboxylate molecular crystals have been of interest due to the presence of hydrogen bonding, which plays a significant role in chemical and crystal engineering, as well as in supramolecular chemistry. Acid–base adducts possess hydrogen bonds which increase the thermal and mechanical stability of the crystal. 2,2′‐Thiodiacetic acid (Tda) is a versatile ligand that has been widely explored, employing its multidendate and chelating coordination abilities with many metals; however, charge‐transfer complexes of thiodiacetic acid have not been reported. Two salts, namely ethylenediaminium 2,2′‐thiodiacetate, C2H10N22+·C4H4O4S22−, denoted Tdaen, and 2‐aminoanilinium 2‐(carboxymethylsulfanyl)acetate, C6H9N2+·C4H5O4S, denoted Tdaophen, were synthesized and characterized by IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopies, and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. In these salts, Tda reacts with the aliphatic (ethylenediamine) and aromatic (o‐phenylenediamine) diamines, and deprotonates them to form anions with different valencies and different supramolecular networks. In Tdaen, the divalent Tda2− anions form one‐dimensional linear supramolecular chains and these are extended into a three‐dimensional sandwich‐type supramolecular network by interaction with the ethylenediaminium cations. However, in Tdaophen, the monovalent Tda anions form one‐dimensional zigzag supramolecular chains, which are extended into a three‐dimensional supramolecular network by interaction with the 2‐aminoanilinium cations. Thus, both three‐dimensional structures display different ring motifs. The structures of these diamines, which are influenced by hydrogen‐bonded assemblies in the molecular crystals, are discussed in detail.  相似文献

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C12H18O2, contains two independent molecules. They differ only slightly in conformation but form completely different intermolecular hydrogen‐bonded arrays. One molecule exhibits disorder in the hydroxy group region, but this does not influence the formation of hydrogen bonds. The bulky tert‐butyl group on one side of the carbinol C atom and the benzene ring on the other side promote the formation of discrete dimeric motifs via hydrogen‐bridged hydroxy groups. Dimers are further joined by strong hydroxy–methoxy O—H...O bonds to form chains with dangling alcohol groups. Weaker intermolecular C—H...O interactions mediate the formation of a two‐dimensional network.  相似文献

Cocrystallization of 1,1′‐(p‐phenylene)dipyridin‐4(1H)‐one (4,4′‐dpy) and terephthalic acid (tpa) affords the hydrogen‐bonded 1:1 title complex, C16H12N2O2·C8H6O4. Both molecules are symmetrically disposed about independent symmetry centers. Strong O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds between tpa carboxyl groups and 4,4′‐dpy carbonyl groups produce one‐dimensional zigzag infinite chains. Each chain is linked to four surrounding chains via weak C—H⋯O interactions, resulting in a three‐dimensional molecular framework.  相似文献

The structure of the title compound, C9H8N4, comprises non‐planar molecules that associate via pyrimidine N—H?N dimer R(8) hydrogen‐bonding associations [N?N 3.1870 (17) Å] and form linear hydrogen‐bonded chains via a pyrimidine N—H?N(pyridyl) interaction [N?N 3.0295 (19) Å]. The dihedral angle between the two rings is 24.57 (5)°. The structure of the 1:1 adduct with 4‐aminobenzoic acid, C9H8N4·C7H7NO2, exhibits a hydrogen‐bonding network involving COOH?N(pyridyl) [O?N 2.6406 (17) Å], pyrimidine N—H?N [N?N 3.0737 (19) and 3.1755 (18) Å] and acid N—H?O interactions [N?O 3.0609 (17) and 2.981 (2) Å]. The dihedral angle between the two linked rings of the base is 38.49 (6)° and the carboxylic acid group binds to the stronger base group in contrast to the (less basic) complementary hydrogen‐bonding site.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the title compound, C12H12O6P2, displays two different regions alternating along the a axis: a hydrogen‐bonded region encompassing the end‐positioned phosphonic acid groups and a hydrophobic region formed by the aromatic spacers. The asymmetric unit contains only half of the biphenyl‐4,4′‐diphosphonic acid (4,4′‐bpdp) molecule, which is symmetric with an inversion centre imposed at the mid‐point between the two aromatic rings. The periodic organization of the molecules is controlled by two strong O—H...O interactions between the phosphonic acid sites. Weak C—H...π interactions are established in the aromatic regions.  相似文献

In methyl 4‐(4‐chloroanilino)‐3‐nitrobenzoate, C14H11ClN2O4, (I), there is an intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bond and the intramolecular distances provide evidence for electronic polarization of the o‐quinonoid type. The molecules are linked into sheets built from N—H...O, C—H...O and C—H...π(arene) hydrogen bonds, together with an aromatic π–π stacking interaction. The molecules of methyl 1‐benzyl‐2‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐1H‐benzimidazole‐5‐carboxylate, C22H17ClN2O2, (II), are also linked into sheets, this time by a combination of C—H...π(arene) hydrogen bonds and aromatic π–π stacking interactions.  相似文献

Molecules of the title compound (alternative name p‐methoxybenzaldehyde 2‐pyridylhydrazone), C13H13N3O, adopt an E configuration about the azomethine C=N double bond. Molecules are almost planar, the dihedral angle between the pyridine and methoxyphenyl rings being only 6.19 (12)°. Pairwise N—H⃛N hydrogen bonds [R(8) in graph‐set notation] link centrosymmetrically related molecules into discrete pairs.  相似文献

The 1:1 complexes N,N′‐bis(2‐pyridyl)benzene‐1,4‐diamine–anilic acid (2,5‐dihydroxy‐1,4‐benzoquinone) (1/1), C16H14N4·C6H4O4, (I), and N,N′‐bis(2‐pyridyl)biphenyl‐4,4′‐diamine–anilic acid (1/1), C22H18N4·C6H4O4, (II), have been prepared and their solid‐state structures investigated. The component molecules of these complexes are connected via conventional N—H?O and O—H?N hydrogen bonds, leading to the formation of an infinite one‐dimensional network generated by the cyclic motif R(9). The anilic acid molecules in both crystal structures lie around inversion centres and the observed bond lengths are typical for the neutral molecule. Nevertheless, the pyridine C—N—C angles [120.9 (2) and 120.13 (17)° for complexes (I) and (II), respectively] point to a partial H‐atom transfer from anilic aicd to the bispyridylamine, and hence to H‐atom disorder in the OHN bridge. The bispyridylamine molecules of (I) and (II) also lie around inversion centres and exhibit disorder of their central phenyl rings over two positions.  相似文献

The reactions of 1‐formyl‐3‐methoxycarbonylazulene ( 1 ) with acetophenones 3a‐e gave 1‐(3‐aryl‐3‐oxopropenyl)‐3‐methoxycarbonylazulenes 4a‐e which reacted with malononitrile in the presence of sodium methoxide to afford 1‐(2‐aryl‐4‐pyridyl)‐3‐methoxycarbonylazulenes 9a‐d , except for 4′‐nitro‐substituted compounds. Heating of the compounds 9a‐d in 100% phosphoric acid yielded 1‐(2‐aryl‐4‐pyridyl)azulenes 10a‐d . In a similar manner, 1‐(4‐aryl‐2‐pyridyl)azulenes 12a‐1 and 1‐[4‐(2‐furyl)‐ and 4‐(2‐thienyl)‐2‐pyridyl)]azulenes 14a,b were obtained.  相似文献

In 1‐(4‐chloroanilinomethyl)‐5‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐1,3,5‐triazinane‐2‐thione, C16H16Cl2N4S, there are two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit which form inversion dimers via two weak N—H...S hydrogen bonds. The dimers are then linked into C(9)C(14) chains by a C—H...S hydrogen bond and a C—H...Cl contact. In 1‐(anilinomethyl)‐5‐phenyl‐1,3,5‐triazinane‐2‐thione, C16H18N4S, molecules are linked into complex sheets via a combination of N—H...S and C—H...π hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

The two components of the title heterodimer, C17H21NO2·C8H5NO2, are linked end‐to‐end via O—H⋯O(=C) and C—H⋯O(=C) hydrogen‐bond interactions. Additional lateral C—H⋯O interactions link the dimers in a side‐by‐side fashion to produce wide infinite molecular ribbons. Adjacent ribbons are interconnected viaπ–π stacking and C—H⋯π(arene) interactions. This structure represents the first evidence of robust hydrogen‐bond formation between the moieties of pyridin‐4(1H)‐one and benzoic acid.  相似文献

In each of 6‐amino‐3‐methyl‐2‐(morpholin‐4‐yl)‐5‐nitrosopyrimidin‐4(3H)‐one, C9H13N5O3, (I), morpholin‐4‐ium 4‐amino‐2‐(morpholin‐4‐yl)‐5‐nitroso‐6‐oxo‐1,6‐dihydropyrimidin‐1‐ide, C4H10NO+·C8H10N5O3, (II), and 6‐amino‐2‐(morpholin‐4‐yl)‐5‐nitrosopyrimidin‐4(3H)‐one hemihydrate, C8H11N5O3·0.5H2O, (III), the bond distances within the pyrimidine components are consistent with significant electronic polarization, which is most marked in (II) and least marked in (I). Despite the high level of substitution, the pyrimidine rings are all effectively planar, and in each of the pyrimidine components, there are intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds. In each compound, the organic components are linked by multiple N—H...O hydrogen bonds to form sheets of widely differing construction, and in compound (III) adjacent sheets are linked by the water molecules, so forming a three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded framework. This study also contains the first direct geometric comparison between the electronic polarization in a neutral aminonitrosopyrimidine and that in its ring‐deprotonated conjugate anion in a metal‐free environment.  相似文献

In bis[1‐(3‐pyridyl)butane‐1,3‐dionato]copper(II) (the Cu atom occupies a centre of inversion), [Cu(C9H8NO2)2], (I), and bis[1‐(4‐pyridyl)butane‐1,3‐dionato]copper(II) methanol solvate, [Cu(C9H8NO2)2]·CH3OH, (II), the O,O′‐chelating diketonate ligands support square‐planar coordination of the metal ions [Cu—O = 1.948 (1)–1.965 (1) Å]. Weaker Cu⋯N interactions [2.405 (2)–2.499 (2) Å], at both axial sides, occur between symmetry‐related bis(1‐pyridylbutane‐1,3‐dionato)copper(II) molecules. This causes their self‐organization into two‐dimensional square‐grid frameworks, with uniform [6.48 Å for (I)] or alternating [4.72 and 6.66 Å for (II)] interlayer separations. Guest methanol molecules in (II) reside between the distal layers and form weak hydrogen bonds to coordinated O atoms [O⋯O = 3.018 (4) Å].  相似文献
